Anyone bite on the Big-Zam, or planning to? It's neat that they're re-releasing several RDs that help set up a Battle of Solomon display, but I don't think that scene is important enough to me personally to make the investment. On the other hand, it's the freakin Big-Zam and I don't see it getting another release like this any time soon.
>>11246933I don't have the room for it but it certainly would be insanely cool to own
>>11246933I did even though ANIME isn't my main line. I collect mostly 1/144 and this is the only Byg Zam at this scale. I hope they do Neue Ziel too.
>>11246933If they released it without the light up gimmicks for $250-$300 I would've bought it. $500 for a light up gimmick I will rarely turn on? Nah I'm skipping.
>>11246933I went in on it. I have a mixed display of mechs so I'm just gonna set it up like its a SRW boss. I wonder if it was successful enough they'll do the psycho gundams next, or if this just got made mostly because there were no plans for a HGUC of it.
I've been waiting six years for this. Had to give up my dignity to become a wagie, but here we are.
Anyone with one of the MRD Destiny’s, how much of a pain is it to get those backpack weapons mounts off their balljoints? Might have to put my original one back in storage soon and those suckers were pretty tough to get on in the first place.
https://hacchaka.net/archives/52115561.html
>>11246933Absolutely not, I'm of the same opinion as >>11247324The gimmicks are nice but I'd unlikely ever turn them on besides when taking a photo of my display.I'd rather something solid or even just a sofubi to fill in for the Zam, it's not like I'd pose it in some hyper dynamic pose to need any articulation.Might pick the Balls up as I never got around to getting any previously.

>>11247798Damn, he is good
>costs as much as a metal build>bigger than a MB with much more accessories than the average MBMind you this pricing isnt the norm since this is more expensive but christ, I can see why people like the ccs outside of the 1/60 scale instead of the average 1/100
>>11248359MBs are a ripoff, they're really not comparable value to any other high end robot toys these days anymore, between what you get in the box and the shoddy QC. I won't pretend CCS hasn't had their share of bad QC (the recent star slasher getter was really awful), but bandai just coasts on the gundam license anymore.
>>11248399>bandai just coasts on the gundam license anymore.I think that began when they released the Crossbone Full Cloth MB, the price was ridiculous and it got nonsensical since thenthe MB Providence was a hard pill to swallow due to its high price but it is my favorite evil gundam sp I had to get it, but since then, I no longer make purchases of MBs
>>11248399> I won't pretend CCS hasn't had their share of bad QCMy SKL has some qc issues but the worse is the fucking wrist being loose which shouldnt be a thing considering the big ass sword it has but it isnt like he can carry it 1 hand with the figure in the first place, I just fucking hate loose joints since theyre harder to fix vs tight joints. I did a qc check and besides overly tight ankles and above, it was fine. Didnt put on the shoulders because I know how much a bitch itll be to take them off.And yes it has gotten REAL bad price wise for mb, I bitched about it right away but it was very noticeable for HI NU.>>11248401The FC was expensive but i chalked it up to p-bandai during that time, when general releases caught up to pbandai prices, thats when it was too much. I bought both FC and it hurts but I didnt know that it would get much worse.
>>11248516A bit more light, no regrets since this is my first CSS and it is excellent, only issue is how much fucking spaces these luggage killer takes. Finally my first SKL and an excellent one at that.
>>11246933I'm planning on it, but at that price point and shadow dropped I can't just pull the trigger on 500 bucks. I'd been planning on purging some of the collection anyway, so if I sell enough pretty quickly I'll pick it up
Just bought Strike Noir, those Bandai faggots better release Verde Buster and Blu Duel too.
>>11246933I'm picking up a couple other expensive robots next year so I don't know if i can stomach another big purchase. Sucks because I've got all the other RDs that appeared in the original MSG so far and I've been waiting for Big Zam. It is what it is I guess.
Would you buy a BioGundam /toy/? I would. I would so hard. Forget what expo this was from, but the company is SexyIce.
>>11249945no
>>11249945That just looks like a Tekkman Blade that someone left in the water till it got wrinkly.
This looks promising. Though the scale ain't correct.
>>11249945Well it's cooler than regular Gundams but that's not a high bar.
Is there a chance that we see a DX YF-30 reissue?Seems like they've been doing a lot of reissues recently.
>>11250839I’d kill for this, although recent developments have me hoping we might get a rerelease of the Keith SV-262 with the missile pods/drakens/sword bundled in after the Bogue custom releases.
>>11250890I'm travelling to Japan soon so I'm hoping I can find one for cheap over there and avoid all the import upcharges. But I also have a hunch that some time soon this could get a reissue since they've been going through all of Frontier recently.
>>11250839Never say never BUT it was a design made for a game that is long out of print. I'd buy one if they did a reissue too.
>>11250839I'd rather they give it a 2.0. The subsequent VF31 demonstrates some really good solutions to a number of annoyances in the 30's design, particularly with how everything locks together without additional bracer parts.
The Gundam Universe line seems dead. I was hoping it would release some cool stuff, like MS from Gundam Sentinel, or F91 or V Gundam MS, but no one seems to care about the line. It did piss me off with some of the releasing missing shields and weapons, but I did like the size of the figures and the price.
>>11251764In the last Robot Spirits thread it was shown that they're doing "renewal" upgrades versions of Gundam Unicorn and the RX-78. I don't think it's dead just yet.
>>11251764It revealed a bunch of new stuff last month. Remakes of some units with better articulation and more accessories plus Wing Zero and Epyon.
>>11246931Robot Damashii Jenny Wakeman when?
anyone got the new MB Dynames Saga?

>>11252190Pretty cool representation of the Gipsy Danger made by Linjihun.it is fully made in plastic, no diecast and is molded in a vibrant electric blue color, but it should have been a shade darker imo.Includes a totoal of 8 pairs of hands. You can detach the arm guards in both limbs to attach the ones with the extended swords or replace the entire section with the deployed cannons that also come with effect parts to simulate them firing. There are also some small flame effect parts you can attach to the elbows to simulate the rocket punch attack, as well as the longass ship it used as a baseball bat and 4 small smashed containers to recreate the scene when it smashes the kaiju with them. The head and chest turbine light up with 3 LR621 button batteries you most likely will need to get on your own: when the seller sent this item to me he stated that due to international regulations, batteries cannot be shipped overseas so there is that. The ship has a bunch of diecast in one of the tips and you just pass it over the back of the figure to turn on or off the LEDs. There is a small screwdriver included for you to remove the screw.Articulation is pretty basic, single jointed elbows and knees, ankles can't move sidways or rotate and the ailerons that stretch from the back get in the way when you move the shoulders up or backwards.Nonetheless, I love the movie and its mechs so I really hope we get the Cherno Alpha and Eureka Striker soon. The latter already had a prototype 1 year ago when Gipsy was also just a prototype too.
>>11252203then again, these guys are also set on making the kaijus so who knows
>>11252203next one is the avenger from the godawful sequel
>>11252203>Articulation is pretty basic, single jointed elbows and knees, ankles can't move sidways or rotate and the ailerons that stretch from the back get in the way when you move the shoulders up or backwards.I was worried about the articulation when I saw how stiff the poses are in the promo pic, too bad it's a skip for me.

trailer's been out an hour and they're already dropping announcements for a metal RD?? bandai really wastes no time
>>11252900The MRD manages to make it look a little better, but not by much. It still looks gaudy as hell, ad now in a good way
>>11252950I'm not a fan either. Yamashita really fell off hard with his designs since starting rebuild.
>>11252900looks like shit
>>11252950>>11252957I think it could be slightly improved with a better color scheme, but it's surprisingly bad for a Yamashita Gundam design. He did cool stuff before but that was 20 years ago.
>>11252900>YamashitaThanks Bandai for ensuring I'm saving money for a while.
>>11252900This disgusting piece of shit gets a toy right out of the gate, yet my love Tybe B FAG is forgotten to time?
>>11253291That's after the Zaku Flipper
>>11252975The MRD having muted colors does help a little, but that head is still hideous. The original concept art with a more mechanical head looked better, but I guess it wasn't gundam enough, since it looked nothing like a gundam. It might still look better if they made the head mostly white and just gave a few red trims to keep it minimalist
>>11252900Vaguely remember Mercury also getting the same direct to merchandise treatment.Bandai's been getting better about it and not just assuming the market for Gundam articulated plastic is solely limited to plamo. If they could go back and time and do it they'd totally have 00's announcement be capped off with Metal Build figures for Exia.
>>11252900I'm not a huge fan of this design, but I like Yamashita's work on the Metal Build Evas, so I hope if this gets a Metal Build figure he reworks the design into something more pleasing. I think his concept illustration is a bit better.
>>11253795>>11253353it's not concept art, that's the original form from the OYW.
>>11253291>Why does the new flag ship MS from the new flagship series get merchandise and not my autistic glup shittoIt's impossible to know
>>11253291i don't know why bandai seems to ignore easy repaints/retools sometimes
I wish there were an HMR scale VF-25. I'd love to be able to pair it with some of my smaller figures in display.I feel like if they ever plan to make one it's probably like 15 years down the line.
>>11253921It's odd how a Gundam figure from a Gundam franchise doesn't get made but some fake Evangelion does.
>>11254025There's some RD's and those partsforming 1/100 toys.
>>11252208how many kaijus they would make? they are also bigger than the jaegers right?
>>11254025HMR doesn't reliably scale once you step outside of a single show line, even when it's in the same franchise.I've heard the newer Fire Valk really scuffed things up on that front, for example.
>>11252900Fuck it, we ball.POed mine, wanna see the alt.head. Anyone knows what it is, the one with folded horns like with HG kit?
>put parts back in blister>one part inside blister sent flying>no sound of it falling on desk or ground>look around>remove and shake clothes>nothingI hate this so fucking much. It's not a part I was ever going to use but I hate missing something.
>>11257327Turns out it fell on my fucking cat who was sleeping. I lost another part, the shield handle, which I probably was never going to use either. That one is probably lost forever, I remember putting it on my desk a couple of days ago and now it's nowhere.
>>11257327You just experienced the black hole of toys, welcome to My world bro
>>11257357The void must be defeated.
>>11247798Waltuh.Put your AC away, Waltuh.I'm not fighting you right now, Waltuh.
>>11249945>>11250839I need these two so bad
>>11248533My SKL is still coming in next month but yeah CCS just blows MB out of the water in terms of value for money. I think my very last MB purchase will be the Zeta unless they make another bullshit red frame variant. As for CCS, SKL will also be my first, and I'm also looking to get the Gunbuster.
>>11257327>when they give you two of a part like you're gonna lose the original>but if you lose the original now you'll be haunted by the empty blister even though you have the backup partIt's been sent to the same dimension that LEGO bricks go to when you need a specific piece, where they only return the moment you don't need it anymore.
What is that one on the right?
So I got my Ver ANIME Buster Gundam in the mail, and opened it up. Is it me, or does this thing have ZERO range of motion with guns in their default setting? You can only get them to point straight, and have Buster Gundam barely hold the handles. I can't do any posing with it, they're just pointing straight, not very dynamic. I feel a bit disappointed.
>>11258749I don't know if this helps, but this guy is really good at poses, so maybe he's managed to make something more like what you're trying to get at?https://hacchaka.net/archives/52111479.html
https://hacchaka.net/archives/52116013.html
>found missing part while doing something completely unrelatedI am at peace. It was between two model kit boxes
I'm new at this, which are the sets with the skeleton underneath? I can only find Barbatos on ebay with it for some reason. I was looking at Eclipse too but that dosen't seem to have the black skeleton underneath.
>>11263152Skeleton? You mean in the style of IBO? Have you looked at other Iron Blooded Orphan sets? Vedar and Bael are similar.
>>11263217just the inner frame thing. A black skeleton thing you put the white armor over. Like other models I see don't seem to have it and you build the torso/legs/arms entirely separately.
>>11263224Is it possible the G-Frame series of toys? They usually release in 2 packs, one with armour and a static frame, one with a poseable frame and accessories.
>>11263224Are you talking about model kits ? Most metal builds and RD have inner frames but everything is already built
>>11263565yea just the model kits, so everything technically has an inner frame but you're already building on top of it?
>>11263763Bro this is a thread for action figures. Ask in the Gunpla thread.
Can the launcher, sword and aile striker be combined easily on the MB strike ?
>>11263763If you are after a model kit with an inner frame you can build independantly of the armour, the RG, MG and PG line of kits are going to be the best to look for.>>11263775Yeh, because this thread is a thriving hub of conversation right now?
>>11263865It's possible and some images even advertise it, not sure how stable it is though.
>>11247798>>11250530Got mine today; he's great. Nice, strong joints in the knees - my only issue is that his IB-C03W1: WLT 011 rifle seems to be too heavy for him to hold upright for very long when it's in its Charge Mode configuration.
>>11264551
>>11264552Now I'm just waiting for the next member of the 'characters I still regret murdering even after all this time' club, Ayre, to show up; tracking says she'll be here some time this week.
>>11264244That's cool, I need to get myself the launcher striker >>11263763Check out both /gpg/ here and on /m/, take a look at the guides. RG, MG and PG have inner frames, but if you never built a kit I'd recommend starting out with an HG to get the basics and not butcher a most likely more expensive kit
does anybody know of a way to tighten the joints on the RD Fafners?I have the Mark Elf and some of its main torso joints are loose.
>>11264673The method I've used for years is putting a small drop of super glue on the loose join, then continuously moving the joint until it starts to stiffen. Keep doing that for like 2-3 minutes so the glue doesn't dry.
Ayre's here. Not taking as many pics this time, since there's not actually a whole lot to show off; it may be because I got Walter's HAL first, but she seems a bit underwhelming by comparison. Ayre basically has four of the exact same weapon mounted between her arms and shoulders/back slots, and she comes with the parts to swap each one between open and closed modes. While technically accurate to how it is in-game (the two sets of cannons on her arms double as Coral Oscillators similar to Walter's, while the ones on her back mimic his shield and vertical launch missiles), from a toy perspective they're not all that exciting due to lack of visual variety. She also lacks any visible/movable boosters or Overbooster, so you only have her skirt armor to really fiddle with when posing her. I'm also not too fond of the paint job - the red (really just a light pink) on her that's supposed to represent the Coral aura she had around her during the in-game fight is a little too dull and probably should have been painted brighter; either way, I feel she should have come with some sort of effect piece to clip onto or pose around her, since it doesn't really do a good job of visualizing the glow effect.Lastly, while I knew going in that she wouldn't be able to transform into her cannon and jet modes, I was hoping I'd be able to somewhat finagle something close to at least the jet with some flexing, but she just can't pull any of it off. Sad. Anyway, her arm and leg joints are snug enough, and you can pull her knees out a bit to get more range of motion out of them, but other than that, she's not too exciting; maybe if they do the Almond-Iguana repaint of this we'll at least get those cool wrist-mounted Gatling Guns/claws to play around with, plus a neat black and green color scheme.

>>11267478Well, at least it gives me the perfect image to sum up what wrong with this style of suit.
>>11267487Also I really question the taste and sanity of anyone who can look at this and go "Yes, this is a good design, very good for fighting."
>>11267487At least the Penelope has a barely acceptable design when you take all the extra crap off it. The Xi isn't salvageable at all and the Gundam chest on the head is beyond stupid.
