old >>11223981Years almost over (where did it go) what are you waiting for to finish 2024 off and what are you excited for next year?
>>11250872I'm waiting for Newage Toy Snarl and Warpath. I hope that they at least ship before Chinese New Year.I'm hoping to build Legends Computron within the next year, finish off the G1 S1 and S2 mini-bots (MS Brawn), get MS Wheeljack, and finish the Hoist Goes to Hollywood Team. I don't think I'd want anything else for Autobots as far as I'm concerned, and I think everything here is in the realm of possible.
>>11250872That looks kawaii as fuck.
>>11250872Wondering why Newage's Romulus hasn't released yet considering it was supposed to release back in October.
>>11251257It's not cancelled yet is it? You know, due to the whole SS86 scaling thing
>looking at transformers on aliexpress >42CM Devastator>only 30 bucksWhat's the catch? Thing is gigantic and actually looks pretty good.
>>11251371It's probably only one of the figure or some additionCheck that it's actually the right tab
>>11251371learn how to navigate aliexpress. Like the other guy said a listing usually has a bunch of "tabs" for different items, the $30 is probably just for the upgrade kit. Jinbao devastator is usually like $150 or so, which is still a great price for a combiner that size but obviously a lot more than what you're thinking.
>>11251390>>11251396Went to check again to be sure, and it does seem to be the full set. They also have it in yellow, also checked the reviews and people seem happy with it. Says it's a knock off in the title, so probably a KO of an existing 3rd party release?
>>11251419That's NBK's KO of Generation Toys Gravity Builder. 1:1 scale but simplified. $30 price checks out since it's quite old. It's pretty alright but the combined mode can be wobbly since most of the ratchets are removed.
Bought Fans Hobby's Sword Team and Shield Team on the BF sale. Really looking forward to getting that pair in hand, and then eventually grabbing their version of the Requiem Blaster when it drops.
https://weibo.com/7269915751/P30fQizOwsomeone was asking last thread
>>11251419Ayyyyy it's NBK. The whole set goes for cheap. I'm a fan but don't expect the sun and moon, he's gonna be loose and floppy. I went through a lot of water-based polyurethane methodically taking them apart and tightening all the joints but I am a weirdo who enjoys doing maintenance on his toys. He's perfect as a Cybertronian Devvy, though. I made simple knee extensions a while back, I should upload them to Cults and Thingiverse.
>>11251456Btw can't recommend enough buying lots of cheap adjustable figure stands and combining them as supports for really big figures.
Is there a version of the "Light of Victory" Optimus that has the clear chest windows, but not the silver stripes?
Dose Fuuma still hold up? He's on sale right now and thinking of picking him up. Wish FT would reissue hydra.
>>11250872How do you plan on Aliexpressing these guys after the Trump Tariffs kick in?
>>11251425>>11251456>>11251458Might have to get it. Been wanting a devastator, and I love giant figures in general.
>>11251428How much were they?
>>11252139>just started getting into this kind of stuff>now thisI hate trump for this alone.
>>11252139>>11252160Quit giving communists money for chinkshit you stupid fucks.
>>11252166Go to the hasbro thread to encourage musl's buyout of hasbro.
What is the best Grapple that is actually in scale, vehicularly, with Kingdom Hoist?
>>11252204I think official mp-35 is your best bet, but I can't say if it'll be perfectly in-scale because grapple and inferno are always all over the place size wise
>>11252240That is why I asked about the real vehicles, a Toyota Hilux and Mitsubishi Crane truck/fire engine should be something able to be determined the true scale of.
>>112522043P is not really in scale with mainlineBut if you want a cool looking vehicle of that character, look up XTB Da Vinci
>>11252275
Big handsome lads, transformation and combination will have to wait for tomorrow. The stupid look on Scattershot's face kills me.
>>11250872Looks like three new teams
>>11252325shld let TFC finish their Abominus first
>>11252366What does that have to do with anything here?
>>11252369Same factory, same queue.
>>11252370What are you talking about mate, a factory doesn't just do one thing at a timeBesides, Craftsman is doing their Computron first
>>11252372Go look through the combined portfolio between TFC, CANG and Scifigure. Ever since covid they've been limited to 4 big releases per year, inclusive of BFB's Mooka, with their own TFC branded items taking lower priority and pushed back.
>>11252374Cang released a shitload of figures this year, including two complete recolours of their Predaking
>>11252379Because Scifigure pivoted away from transforming robots.
>>11252275Xtb is fragile and unposable, I refuse to buy the meme of them being good transformers.
>>11252240>>11252275>In scale meant robot NO YOU FUCKHEADS I MEAN THIS SHIT, REAL WORLD VEHICLE SIZES.
Found the perfect Galvatron.
>>11252412And?Why do you think we made those suggestions?
>>11252415>perfect It doesn't transform, so no
>>11252412Wouldn't you need a fuckhuge Grapple to match ER Hoist due to how he transforms? Probably easier to find a Hoist for ER Grapple
>>11252159$55 for both (before shipping). $85 after that.
>>11251439thanks anon!
>>11252139Part of me feels I can hold out on making any big 3P Transformers purchases for a few years at least considering how we have like 4 fucking companies making devastator at the same time. I like me some Devy but I don't need like 5 copies of him- in MP scale no less. Though we'll see if Hasbro does another price hike too, I don't know if they'll be able to keep the wide market if they mark up Deluxes to like $35 each or something stupid like that.Anyway by the time Trump is done with his symbolic gestures (which is usually what they are, don't fool yourselves, ultimately he and all the other big company owners will want to go back to profiting off that chink slave labor) and this all evens out maybe we'll be at a place where they're actually making a different characters again.
>>11252325Is the middle suppose to be Superion?
>>11252429I am not sure, Japanese fire trucks might be smaller but I don't know how much closer to a Hilux truck they would be, I figured that someone might know if there is an option that works out in scale.
>>11252325>ANOTHER devestator
>>11252325Assuming these aren't OCs, what combiners are these? Middle could be Superion or Liokaiser, two of the fighter jets look like PLA models. Right is definitely a Devastator, drilling rig looks cool too. But the bottom vehicle could be Onslaught as well. The fact that Dinobots and Predacons are considered one faction makes me think there might be more than one team in each pic.
>>11252843My fellow racist
>>11252325They're also introducing a new size.
>>11252868The symbol on the left is a carbon copy of the prime predacons symbol. They have some balls of steel to use it directly in their own marketing.
>>11252412I was going off of vehicle scale like you asked retard-kun. Why the fuck would I suggest MP next to chug for robot size? The problem is that grapple is usually undersized no matter what BECAUSE of his robot mode. There may not be a grapple big enough for what you want.
>>11252943This is third party, why wouldn't they make a 22" tall robot fire truck that could be a crane truck?
>>11252422But it's cartoon accurate, you just need to swap out the robot for the model of the cannon if you want to blast Starscream. (Did he ever transform again?)
Just got interested in bot collectan after watching the G1 cartoons again. Are there any resources or guides to get me started?
>>11253086Decide if you care about scale first. If you do, there's generally three main scales people collect and all 3 have plenty of G1 circlejerking so you are mostly in luck no matter which you choose:1. Mainline CHUG: If you want to support the franchise and all that crap. Usually the overall cheapest (though aftermarket can get stupid like with anything else) and they sure feel like it most of the time. Mainline isn't too hard to do research for since official stuff tends to all get documented on TFwiki or whatever. There's maybe a few 3rd party CHUG scale figures once in a while but they're pretty rare honestly.2. MP scale: Big, complex and usually stupidly expensive. Here's a decent list for MP scale. It might be missing a few but overall it's been kept really well-updated: https://www.tfw2005.com/boards/threads/the-masterpiece-character-guide-or-do-they-have-an-mp-yet-and-what-substitutes.1106283/3. Legend scale: Lil guys for people short on space or like to be able to handle their toys without it being a hassle. They're also getting kind of stupidly expensive considering their size, though you'll certainly never be spending like $1000 or whatever on a combiner like you would with MP scale. Despite their small size they're also often better built than mainline. I haven't really found as good of a list for Legends as I have for MP, but a few people have put their own out so you can try looking them up.
>>11252819Yes and no, It seems lik they're unique but also the same, like their predaking and the dinobots>>11252927Gundam MG size by the looks of it>>11252868Insecticons, Superion and Constructicons but they're making it their own Gundam world I think
>>11253086Get started by looking up your favourite character and and ask around what versions of it there are and then start from there
>>11253152>>11253111Very helpful, thank you very much.
Got this guy after enjoying Planet X's Trypticon. He's pretty cool - not as poseable as Hasbro's mainline Kingdom Megatron, but still flexible enough to be satisfactory. While it took a while to work out how to actually transform him (his tail is a bit confusing, and his instructions fail to mention that his robot chest actually pulls forward and down like on most modern G1 Grimlock toys), but now that I've figured it out, I'm enjoying him quite a bit. I love how freakin' huge his shield is - I always felt the original toy's shield was way too tiny to actually be useful - and I wasn't expecting him to come with a pair of guns as well. I just wish the lightpiping in his head worked a bit better...Also, I'm not entirely sure what his colorscheme is supposed to represent - is he supposed to be a take on SG Grimlock? It's the right mold but the wrong colors (actual SG Grimlock was G1 Trypticon's colors). The argument could be made that he's using WFC Trypticon's colors, but...he kinda isn't. He's got silver on him and is missing the yellow eyes that would've made it more apparent). 'Nemesis' Grimlock, maybe? Who knows. Either way, I'm thinking of grabbing the Fireblast-colored one later to go with my actual Fireblast Grimlock.
