Aesthetically they're basically palette swaps and I personally feel the overabundance of red and blue in Goku and Vegeta's outfits hurts them visually, but I will say SSB does look really good in RoF and Broly where their outfits were chosen to help the blue pop.I still prefer SS4 aesthetically, and I also really like UI/UE. In that time Goku used SSG, Blue, SSBKK, UI (with Sign to get there). The Z portion didn't run for 9 years and he used kaioken, SS1 (regular, buff briefly, full power), SS2, SS3. The hair color thing I don't mind cause the main media is animation which takes advantage of color. The original manga in black and white had to make use of hair spikes cause a color change wasn't a good visual distinction. Gohan Beast was questionable, not even sure what that's supposed to be. But its also the only thing and probably final thing Gohan got in the whole reivvial.

Well, original flawed figure or not, he's here so I'll have to make the most of him, since he's my last figure this year. And this time I mean it, not like the last two times I said it. For realI almost ordered Turles or Mecha Frieza, but since neither would arrive before the end of the year, I decided to get something else unrelated to dragon ballAnyway, purple boy. I can't tell if knowing that I've been tricked is subconsciously souring my opinion or not because I seem to only be able to focus on the negatives. For instance, the strap for his sword doesn't stay pegged in worth a damn. Granted, that's better than it being one easily broken thin plastic strap attached to a solid object, or being so tight that it breaks when removed, but it's obnoxious that I haver to keep putting his sword back.

Anywho, he alright. My standards are low and that might change with more experience. But for now, I love all of these figures. Except bootleg buffku.
