>the new local store carried wave 1 of the final faction

I was afraid that they are only going to get wave 1.
But they have these in shop in small quantities. I guess they are just waiting for the shelf warming W1 stuff to clear up a bit before getting proper restock.

I know they were trying, but the aliens are much cooler. I can't wait for the 2 non-humanoid aliens and the turrets guys

>>Lt Cave has some but only male figures at the moment

Here's the deal. When PGV started making males they were just as detailed and well made as the women. However, as previously mentioned >>11264205 they're starting to skimp out on paint and details.

First round of males came in either combat shirts or t-shirts. The latest round come with tank tops. I wanted to get one with a white tank top but got sent a guy in a blue one and he looks so cheap compared to previous releases. No weathering, the paint feels cheap, the figure doesn't feel as sturdy. I was about to give up on the line because it lost the superior quality that justified the price but he came with a new vest that made it possible to make something I've always wanted. Just a normal ass grunt, but with a PGV body.

Yes you can find this stuff from various lines. Its one of the great features of this scale. you can find playsets, vehicles mounts and tons of accessories. The turtles themselves come with pizza slices.

The other anon is correct. Shock Troopers, some of Cobra's best troop builders. They come with a ton of weapons and accessories.

There's at least half a dozen photos in this thread that have toys with open mouths and all of them managed to paint the inside of the mouth.

Companies like Hasbro and Mattel are putting in the bare minimum effort, yet they'er able to paint the inside of the mouths. If someone can't do the bare minimum, it looks bad.

I'm not seeing it, there's a bit less paint but it's nothing to get mad about. The skin actually looks better without the wash IMO, which looks too heavy on the old one.
>>
>>11285962
>>11286174
I can very much see the difference in paint, but I feel it's a bit more of a mixed bag. The pants and clothes on the painted one do look way better, but I agree the skin on the unpainted one comes off more natural. Mainly the face on the less painted one looks better imo, sharper details and less fuzz and gunk messing it up. I can see the worry of quality in this line going down as production and circulation increases though. But I doubt it'll ever be bad enough to really drop the line entirely.

I kind of only cherry pick these figures anyway since, despite how nice they are, they are fairly generic figures. But that generic design is probably one of their biggest strengths moreso then any kind of complaint.

Maybe I prefer the previous way of doing things because I like Acid Rain but in hand they're miles apart. The new ones looking cleaner makes them seem out of place next to older ones and they have a noticeably softer plastic which is a big part of why they feel like bootlegs rather than a new wave. The weathering on the older ones add to their realism in my opinion. However, the weathering on the male's skin is somewhat unique. The females only weathered clothing and gear, not skin.

I've trimmed down the crotch area overlay so she can sit and kneel properly, swapped her hands out for some H.A.C.K.S spares I had (had to trim the pin down). Might sand a groove on the sides of the upper torso so the arms can sit flusher to the body. But I rather like this figure, and I want more.

So if I wanted some DnD esque fantasy figures, my best bet would be Vitruvian Hacks right? Are there other lesser known ones?
>>
didn't bbts have the jt tmnt line at one point? you guys ordering from aliexpress like the joytoy figures? i think i'm going to go down that line if the quality is as good as the 40k stuff. seemed sturdy and durable.

I dont remember seeing them in BBTS. LTCave and Aliexpress have them. I have the turtles, shredder, bebop and rocksteady and they feel pretty sturdy. I posed them quite a bit to take pictures. IF I noticed a joint felt tight, I gave it a hot water bath to loosen them up.

I forgot to mention, the turtles have a ball socket for their lower waist and I have had that pop out when trying to get their ab crunch. You just have to pop it back in place. So that is annoying when it happens.

they definitely were. i wonder why they cancelled.
>>11291014
that doesn't seem like a big issue. i've had that happen with other figures. do you perhaps know what causes that? socket too small or wrongly shaped?

Honestly buy them through a third party if possible.
they rape you on the shipping.

Haven't decided on the purchase yet, but just checking and $12 doesnt seem too bad. I'm in California.

Most are great, but a lot of them are outdated with articulation that was just okay even back in the day. Later waves improved on that articulation quite a bit.

I think they did a really good job on body types, so even when they did reuse shit, it still looked appropriate for the character.

And a word of warning, the last year for the MU line was rather shit. The last couple of waves were missing torso, ankle, and even wrist articulation. Some might not have even had thigh swivels. They even just painted on detail that should have been sculpted. Budget as fuck. So if you want figures from pic, you have to be a big fan of the characters to waste your money on them.

Also, look into the first Hasbro Marvel movie toylines: Wolverine Origins, Iron Man 2, Captain America, and Thor. These were 1:18 and had bigger budgets than the MU toyline, so they had more articulation (first) and more unique sculpts.
By the time the Avengers movie toyline came out, they were trying to move away from 1:18 figures. That's when they started to cut out articulation for all their 1:18 toys, but they were still better articulated than the last MU waves. They featured some cool designs, like Ultimate Hawkeye and... uhh... that's probably it. Not really a fan of movie designs.

Since when did LTCave charge for shipping? I'm placing an order for the new JoyToy stuff and it's going to be $9 for shipping when all the orders I've made with them before it was always free. It even says "Free Worldwide Shipping" on the top of their page.

What this anon said. When the MU figures weren't getting fucked by budget constraints they had some killer figures.
