Is seamless technology for action figures like pic related ready for the big time, anons? What advances have been made in the technology to make it viable and durable for long term use? Surely by now they have found a way to make the material longer lasting and more malleable than past efforts so it doesn't break at articulation points, right?
>>
No

If you want it buy it. even if the body will degrade in a few years you can always buy another body. I currently own two 1/6 scale figures(tunshi studio mai and mary). if had them for close to two years now and they are just fine. one problem with silicon body dolls are you have to leave them in a neutral position. if you leave them posed for too long the elbows and knees will split because this has happen to me. you can pose them for pictures but they must be put back in neutral position. i ordered ninja cat mai for my collection.

No. Very pretty but the materials haven't gotten better.
Just get yourself a virtual Mai.

Show her nipples!
>>
>>11279904
So can you even display them, just standing with a support on a shelf in a neutral A type pose or are they the type of thing you should keep in the box and pull out on occasion?
>>
>>11280063
its a promo shot for an upcoming figure.

What is the source of this gif?

Sauce?
>>
>>11280063
If other seamless bodies are anything to go by they're nothing special and not really detailed.
>>
>>11279904
>neutral pose
Can they still get damaged if left in a neutral pose?
>>
>>11280084
this is how i keep mine in a neutral pose on my shelf along with my other figures. you can pose them for photos but must be returned to a neutral posture. i made the mistake of leaving them in a pose for a long period of them and i ended up splitting the skin on the elbow. its hard to pick up on camera to show. i learned this from other anons when it comes to 1/6 scale seamless.

>you should keep in the box and pull out on occasion?

NO! that is stupid. enjoy your figures. mine have been on my shelf about two years now and i enjoy looking at them. Also keep them away from direct sunlight and high temperatures. where i live i deal with the four seasons and my figures are holding up fine.

>>11280548
i dont think so. i'v had mine for two years now and they are doing fine. just keep away from direct sunlight (just like any other figure).
>>
>dont talk to me or my son ever again
>>
>>11280567
How do you clean them?
>>
>>11280816
the most i do is dust them off with warm water and a microfiber towel and i hardly ever do so. i keep my room clean to begin with and i don't touch them with dirty hands.

I wonder when ICONIQ studio will release 1/6 scale chun-li? they already did 4 other street fighter figures. two ryu's, akuma and ken.

>>11281021
wrong picture but i do plan on buying shermie when she releases

I don't believe in seamless. If a systematic joint breaks, at least it's still repairable/replaceable. Once the skin seam breaks, all that's really left is frayed skin that will break away in time, and the concealed joint within. So now I'm stuck with characters and their torn skin arms and look like they were androids the whole time
>>
>>11279859
>>11279904
I don't like seamless. They look too much like dolls.
>>
>>11280571
Seamless really does mog regular figures when you compare them side by side. But of course the durability...
>>
Seensless Technology is not there yet.
>>
>>11279859
I live in Florida and with the humidity here I imagine they would get moldy and gross looking after less than a year. If I lived in a cooler climate I might be tempted to buy one
>>
>>11281412
I mean they kinda are dolls right? But that brings up the question of what is a doll and what is a figure. These look cool but it feels like a grandmas house situation where you wash your hands constantly and keep slip covers over them etc a real look but dont touch thing.
>that couch is for guests only
>>
>>11280571
does mai have nips
>>
>>11281939
no she doesnt. both of them do have a vagina and butt cheeks though. weird how they didnt give them nipples though. maybe because it is a licensed figure. but there plenty of unlicensed figures/ resin statues of mai that do give us fan service. I was thinking of buying a 1/3 scale mai at one point but i changed my mind and luckily the website i buy from let me change my preorder deposit to another figure.

>>11281939
not a seamless doll but a resin statue

holy fuck
>>
>>11281413
to be fair, Storm's female faces are pretty atrocious
>>
>>11279859
it can, but most of the time a lot of the 1/6 makers use cheap TPE/rubber silicon polymer which is can easily degrade over time quickly.

some of the better silicon bodies uses the expensive food grade or medical grade silicon polymer which is moisture resistant too, which can last a long time. but they are very expensive, so only expenisve 1/3 seamless dolls or full 1:1 sex dolls use them
>>
>>11282418
>Official figure has a vagina
Now this I gotta see
>>
>>11284505
I so wanted that figure but i can't justify paying $600 + shipping for a doll. shipping from china is expensive. i'm glad i found out ninja cat is making a 1/6 scale figure of mai and so is SNK so now i have two more mai 1/6 figures i can add to my collection. I also ordered this licensed mai resin statue too.
>>
>>11280548
>Can they still get damaged if left in a neutral pose?
yes, you'll find the material will tear a lot easier when it's then forced to bend again.
>>
>>11280548
yes they can but its usually around the 5 year mark when that starts to happen.
>>
>>11284540

JUST FUCKING BUY IT!!!!
you wont really know how long it will last until you experience it yourself. even if the body starts to go bad after years of service YOU CAN ALWAYS BUY ANOTHER FUCKING BODY! the hands and head on my figures are plastic. the clothes is made of cloth. i can transfer it to a new body.

I love the little hints around the main figures that this whole shelf is incredibly horny
>>
All these seamless dolls always look so generic.

I don't get the point of buying them if they don't look like the character they're based on, especially when they cost so much.
Only kiddy shit is allowed to look generic.
>>
>>11285802
Sorry I expect my toys to outlast me and pollute the land with their broken components for hundreds of years, not start to biodegrade while I own them.
>>
>>11285802
Say for example with the Mai figure, does the company that makes that also sell that body on it's own? What if they aren't aren't making it anymore in five years time?
>>
>>11285867

i'm a massive simp and consoomer for girls like tifa, chun-li and mai. my top shelf is a mess. my shelf has more figures on it then it can hold.

>>11285990
i doubt it. you cant even buy that 1/6 scale mai figure anymore they sold out.
>>
>>11287015
>tifa, chun-li and mai
Damn, horrible taste.
>>
>>11287015
>Akiman and Nishimura Chun

>No regular PUP Chun
Lame kinda, regular Chun looks better than SF6 Chun
Also what are the two massive Chunners from?
>>
>>11288286
those 2 chunners are PCS chun-li(bikini and wedding dress)
this is my bottom shelf
>>
>>11288286
3rd shelf. my display case is a fucking mess. everything is on top of each other. i need to buy another shelf because i have more shit on the way.

Was about to say I am disappointed that you don't have a rep for the DOA francise(Mai is only a guest character) then I saw figma Kasumi blending in behind the middle post

Anyways, your setup collection is nice but it seemed familiar, have you posted this in the Bring Arts thread perhaps?

Speaking of Bring Arts, no plans to update your collection with Bring Arts Tifa? Not sure if you already have her though or I might have just missed her from your pics.

Not also planning to update/get SHF Chun-Li outfit 2? My first release SHF Chun-Li's chest discolored sadly so I was kinda forced to get outfit 2, the new "yatta" face is cute, I still prefer Bandai's "anime" take than Jada's or Revoltech's versions but that's just me

I'm not yet sure on Revoltech Kasumi, need to see a colored prototype first, didn't like their take on Ayane with transparent hair, also its her RE3 default outfit, it would have been a 100% buy from me if its her iconic blue c1 outfit with ponytail hairstyle, still bummed that figma didn't release her blue c1 outfit and just stopped with the black costume, the only difference is the puffy shoulders, ponytail hairstyle and blue color scheme, it was an easy reprint of the mold
>>
>>11289650
thanks bro i appreciate your comment.
yeah i bought that figma of kasumi years ago. i do wish DOA girls had more figures/statues. I would love to have ayane, kasumi, momiji and nyotengu in my collection. i already got revoltech ayane on preorder. I so wish DOA girls could be guest characters in other fighting games being that team ninja killed DOA.

I have bring arts tifa on preorder on BBTS but she still has not arrived yet. I did share my final fantasy collection on bring arts threads before.

I thought about buying the new SHF chun-li but its the same thing except with a new "yatta" face. i prefer the anime look too. i only bought jada chun & cammy because i plan to but them on my work bench on in my garage. I pre ordered more chun-li statues instead.

>I have bring arts tifa on preorder on BBTS but she still has not arrived yet

Oh so you got her reissue? Should have went with JP stores like Amiami for $75.06 and no more need to wait for BBTS to get their stocks which I assume they use the most cheapest and slowest method to get their shipments to save money

https://www.amiami.com/eng/detail/?gcode=FIGURE-168065

Vincent Bring Arts is delayed to the 25th from 11th so I won't be making the SE BA/PAK/PAS/etc. thread for awhile(but anyone is free to do so)

I had no plans to get outfit 2 but I did want the "yatta" face as I have a completionist ocd that I don't like missing any face parts/accessories available for a figure I bought(figma bonuses), was gonna make an exception but like I said above >>11289650, so I took it as a sign to get it

If I like how Revoltech Kasumi mass produced/retail figure ends up(didn't like how the Revoltech Toaru mass produced version looked so I will stick with my figmoes for now) then I might get her to update my holy trinity of fighting game waifus, or better yet, maybe wait for Revoltech to release her iconic c1 blue outfit with ponytail hairstyle, as for me, that's her iconic look is
