Which new announcement are you most excited for? Who do you want to see next from the new IPs? What other IP do you think Kaiyodo might turn into Revoltechs?
>>11280119>all those announcements in that short period of timeRevo-bros, are we back?...
>>11280131We were back when they announced like 10 things at once a few wonfes ago. Sachiel is a feat not even old Revoltech line achieved.
>>11280123Personally I want "The Red Ranger Becomes an Adventurer in Another World" to get some and they must be AY. A good workaround to doing Sentai (and others hint hint) without being Bandai. Not as direct as DK figmas but the designs for this series are actually decent for a homage, parody types. Like they feel they could be on TV Sunday morning. Other 2 I can think of are not that well thought out.I had no idea it was getting an anime so hoping there might be a small chance.
What a waste of time most of these projects are when they could do actual good shit that deserves proper revos
>>11280140Looking for the robot's anime design I noticed Koto is making a kit. But even then I still want a Yamaguci one. It'll be like the new GaoGaiGar figure we never got. We still might just get a GGG, the mechas thus far are all really popular ones.
>>11280143wah wah wah
My favorite Danmachi girls are Ryuu and Haruhime. It would be nice if either got a figure.
>>11280123I think strong possibilities exists with Solo Leveling. I know very little of it but it's popular no? Characters don't look that interesting but maybe there are some good potentials for Revos in there besides the most generic anime man protagonist. And MHA Vigilantes of course.
>>11280119Fingers crossed for a Revoltech Marcille/Laios
>>11280123I think Devil May Cry has a chanceRevoltech is already doing 2 Capcom IPs
>>11280123>Which new announcement are you most excited for? Sachiel.>Who do you want to see next from the new IPs?Bardiel and Zeruel.I don't care if that's not their Rebuild names.
>>11280192Maybe. Then I think what kept them before? It feels easier to just do a few DMC characters before going through all the trouble for Koei Tecmo games. They're the sameish demographics. So I wonder if the demand is even that strong. I think DMC games sold more than NGs and DOAs combined? But worldwide so Japan might be different. If they move on to DOA there are probably more marketable characters to exploit. And by exploit I mean their beach volleyball versions.
>>11276274>>11276531>>11278056Seems we got an answer about that, at least for the MHA and Delicious in Dungeon license.maoji confirmed he was the one who sculpted the figuarts Deku, so under that logic, he also made the other ones announced too.In the same vein he also was in charge of figma Laios and Marcille so it makes sense he is also the one making the catgirl.Tl:drRevoltech MHA line is ded, the SHFiguarts line is the spiritual sucessor
>>11280143Give us an example then, faggot
>>11280203The other basic EVAs including 03 seem like a no brainer, and so will be her angel form. I guess we always got Angels in the past but a cop out one. It would be stupid to make 01 and not design her so a few molds change you can get a half dozen or so EVAs.. Even more baddies EVAs with a different abdomen section. Rebuild's Zeruel is weird, it's no longer a somewhat humanoid form but more like a Tenga then an octopus. Or that half Rei form that's even more of a mess with the head section. Also really huge for both forms so forget scaling. I think more than the TV ver. If they intended to do Zeruel they picked TV versions for everyone from the start.
>>11280297>maoji confirmed he was the one who sculpted the figuarts DekuDamn he really gets around. I liked figma Gabi better than the SHF.
>>11280332>If they intended to do Zeruel they picked TV versions for everyone from the start.I forgot how huge Zeruel was in Rebuild. Honestly I wouldn't complain if they did OG Zeruel instead. The Angels all have such abstract designs that apart from the ones I listed plus Shamsel, and Israfel from the OG series, most of them just wouldn't make decent figures, or would be so insanely huge as to be impractical. Sahaquiel fits both categories. Maybe the Third Angel from the start of 2.0 would be decent.Though if Kaiyodo wants to give me a Ramiel model kit including several forms that will require me to assemble a hundred polyhedrons into a specific configuration, i won't complain.
>>11280119>not interested in any of themDamn unlucky
>>11280297>Revoltech MHA line is dedWhat? Say it’s not so…
>>11280399Mirko isn't even out yet, Toga just went up for preorder, and Kaiyodo haven't said shit. This conjecture is all based on the fact that Maoji sculpted the MHA SHFs, but doesn't take into account that as far as we know, Maoji (until we hear otherwise) is independent and gets contracted to sculpt figures for each company instead of being an in-house designer.
>>11280222>It feels easier to just do a few DMC characters before going through all the trouble for Koei Tecmo gamesAcquiring licenses is never a bad thing, especially when you get access to action series that AY is known for. KT gets them an in with NG, DOA, and Atelier, and if they felt inclined there's infinite Dyansty Warriors characters to go through. As long as they're playing ball with Capcom, I think DMC's on the table, simply because that would fit well with the line. I think they're focused on MonHun and Street Fighter currently because that's what Capcom is focused on, but it wouldn't be a big stretch to sneak in a Dante somewhere. And if Dante's popular, they'd get incentive for Nero and Vergil, and so on.Personally I'd like them to go hard with a variety of Capcom figures and give us what would amount to an unofficial MvC line, but that might be pushing it.
>>11280409Take your meds
>>11280414>and if they felt inclined there's infinite Dyansty Warriors characters to go through.Oh god I wish... Lu Bu, Sun Ce, Zhang Liao, Orochi, Shimazu Yoshihiro, Nobunaga, Masamune, Ginchiyo...
>>11280587Post proof that Revo MHA is kill, or follow your own instructions.
>>11280119I wish Vulcanlog would return with reissue but that's just wishful thinking from me.
>>11280644I never said revo MHA line is dead. I'm calling the guy saying that a schizo, he has been saying for almost 5 months now, retard
>>11280662So why are you telling the anon that pointed out that the claim that's it's dead is nothing but conjecture to take his meds?Maybe you should lurk for two more years until you figure out how this whole 4chan thing works.
>>11280668Because I reply to the wrong anon, it was meant to this one >>11280297. >Maybe you should lurk for two more years until you figure out how this whole 4chan thing works.Lol imagine being proud to be an oldfag
>>11280297Isn't shf line made by that figma gabimaru dude? You meant to say shf mha is doa.
>>11280743>Lol imagine being proud to be an oldfagThere's no pride in it. It's just the way it is. I would tell you to leave now before it's too late, but the fact is that it's already too late for you.
It'll be interesting if SHF Toga was also sculpted by Maoji. IDK if two unrelated toylines have released the same character made by the same person before. If it was him. We have like Moderoid of Sentinel's Mazingers but that's intentional so not quite the same thing.
>>11280119>no regular blue kasumi>no Tina>no Honka
>>11280752I know almost nothing about the people who has worked for the SHF line but days ago maoji posted some of the figures he sculpted during this year, and SHF Midoriya was among them.
>>11280119>Still no Wolverine 2.0 or reissue
>>11280119I have enough of people not appreciating Rachel! Fuck Ayane, Kasumi and Momiji!
>>11280297Nuts, oh well I'm happy Marcille got a figure but I wish she was made by Kaiyodo.>>11281017It's just a matter of time at this point, but who knows when that'll happen.

>>11280414according to capcom's polls, dante is their most popular protagonist both worldwide and in japan.https://captown.capcom.com/en/super_elections/1
>>11283249everytime I have to see nu jill face I want to puke. I hate that shitty "remake" so fucking much and everyone who says that "its an okay game". It's not okay! It's never going to be ok!
>>11283249>Masamune date in the top 10Based japanese people
>>11283249>and in japanIf you pay more attention though, the characters' poll numbers for Japan are very close together. Where as for the favorite games/series DMC is not that high for Japan. These results don't speak "Dante is mega popular even in Japan" but just one of many. Like how certain anime is popular in the States but are nothing or mediocre in Japan. So for Revoltechs, a line clearly aimed towards Japan, I don't think his chance is any stronger than most Capcom IPs, certainly weaker than what they're doing now. Plus there are many other big name IPs currently being explored it just seems more unlikely now compared to say we just knew about MH AYs were coming. Maybe if the other Capcom revos they tried first all failed miserably.
CT guys made the right call giving this guy a pearlescent metallic color instead of pure white, it's majestic under the right lighting
>>11282668Day 1 if they make thisEvery modern punisher figure sucks ass and mezco is wack
>>11283249wtf is with that shitty art
>>11283259Realism has made those games dull and generic looking.
>>11280123i'd like some athletic or sport figuresmy dream would be an x-games line with skaters, bmxers, snowboarders etc i don't see any other company putting out figures that look so good in extremely dynamic posesthere isn't a market for it atm so it will never happen :(
>>11283675They sort of did something along that line before lol. Not what you're asking I know. Honestly if AY did the blanks properly and have the Expansion Pack sports edition I think we have a lot of people happy. It's a good 3rd pack to have after guns and melee weapons too. But that's also just copying what Bandai did...at least the items won't be grey too. That makes the items useless with other action figures.I also think they don't want to repeat UC's fatal failure of releasing 4 alternate uniforms of a manga baseball player. I'm sure that alone killed the Vulcanlogs.
>>11283813i'm always amazed by just how much kaiyodo stuff there is out there lol>Vulcanlogswhat is that if i may ask? i've seen that before next to revoltech titles "powered by vulcanlog" iirc
Where did this Revoltech resurgance come from? For the past few years it felt like they only did some Marvel, DC and MHA stuff but now they're getting more anime licenses. It's nice to have choices between figma and revo again depending on what design you prefer again. As far as wishes for new IPs:A modern Dante and more DMC characters would be ace. Never got the old DMC3 revo but I'm sure they can do much better now.Bayonetta would also be fun to have a good 1/12ish scale action figure of her on the market.I wonder if Marvel Rivals will inspire a Psylocke reissue. Missed the boat on that.If they're working with capcom, I'd love to see some SNK stuff since STORM figures are just a little to upscale for my taste. The Kyo and Iori figmas didn't seem to ignite much afterwards.I can't think to much anime IPs I'm gunning for that aren't already handled by figma and SHF but I'm willing to be surprised. I'd go for a wild card pick of the Skeleton Knight in another world just because I'm usually game for Skeletons and Knights action figures. Now if some gacha games wanted more merch out there there's def some granblues or nikkes that would make some fun revos.
>>11284116Shut the fuck up you braindead shftard
>>11284116fuck off wishlist fag
>>11283813>>11283910Fuck, I will forever mourn the Kaiyodo Vulcanlog stuff. But I'm also curious about what happened.>i'm always amazed by just how much kaiyodo stuff there is out there lolDitto, before lurking these threads I thoughts Kaiyodo started and ended with AY, hell I thought Revoltech and AY were done by the same sculptor.
>>11284116>If they're working with capcom, I'd love to see some SNK stuff since STORM figures are just a little to upscale for my tasteGod please, I really want more SNK figures that I can pose with the rest of my collection

>>11284116>>11284305for real, just imagine this perfect sculp but in 1/12
>>11284347*sculpt
>>11284116>Where did this Revoltech resurgance come from?I can think of two factors, maybe three. One is Kaiyodo got bought out. This happened a while ago and I'm not sure how long something like an increase of licenses takes in the background. But if the performance was unfavorable the solution by powers that be would be something like do more popular stuff. Second one is the change in distributors. There use to be three, Kaiyodo for Geo and Takeya, Kenelephant for AY, and Union Creative for Evangelion. Now it's all Kaiyodo. So by saving money cutting out the middleman they might have moved on to doing more. They needed some adjustment period so this might line up better with the rate of increase. Third is more short term change, and that is due to the poor performance by Kaiyodo 2020 and on. Massively in the red and barely in the black last year, they need to increase sales big and fast. So trying out a bunch of different and popular licenses is one way to deal with the problem.
Love the contrast these two haveNow I just need x-force deadpool to complete the white-gray-black gradient
>>11284358>the poor performance by Kaiyodo 2020 and on. Massively in the red and barely in the black last year,According to Yamaguchi's twitter, and if google translate is accurate, it sounds like Kaiyodo was profitable for 2024https://x.com/fuikitodoki/status/1874004828361548193
>>11284416Well they were "profitable" for 2023 technically kek. We should know by March about the exact numbers I think. I don't know what's their usual numbers in the past though, I only paid attention since it became know how bad they were doing recently. I hope what they're doing is working, it's nice to have variety.
>>11284416How was the company still around if they were losing money for several years?
>>11284514How is digimon still around if they NEVER generated profit
>>11284580Because it's Bandai's original IP.
>>11284644I didn't expect a brainlet answer so I have no comeback prepared.
>>11284580I like Digimon so I ask them to keep them around
>>11284514Companies can have several years of losses and not go out of business as long as they don't run out of money or lines of credit. This is how Disney has survived several years of Phase whatever the fuck of the Marvel movies + Soi Wars + Indiana Jones and the Colostomy Bag of Resurrection + all the toys not selling + whatever other shit has bombed in recent years.
>>11284514company dont go with normal market rules, every company own money to the banks and its in they interest to keep you hooked in
>>11284514>>11284735Kaiyodo is literally owned by banks.
>>11284580? Digimon does generate profit, the exact amount they expect it to at that. That's exactly why they keep it around at the level they do. The cards and v-pets sell just enough, the v-pets especially due to FOMO.
>>11284514What the others said, and you should keep in mind that it's not neccessarily terrible that "the company" as an entity is occasionally losing money as long as it's paying every employee their salaries and has decent prospects for the future. Then the next year it may make a profit if deals turn out better... or break even... and then make a profit, etc. and people are eating and living all the while.
luke is UP
>>11286846Everyone was hyped when he was announce, and now that he's up for preorder he doesn't even get a lukewarm response.
>>11287237>lukewarm
>>11286846Interesting he comes with a ryu face for the store exclusive yet we haven’t even seen ryu yet
>>11286846I say this as someone who plays SFI do not care
>>11287264Same, especially with Jada around, I’ve stopped caring about other companies’ SF releases
>>11287266I ordered Juri and will probably get Ryu at some point but SF6 Chun sucks and Luke can hang
>>11287237>>11286846Already PO'd him. Can't wait to play and pose the new main character and the face of SF beating the shit out of other fighters
>>11287266>muh jadaAt least say that you hate luke or something like that

>>11287237HE WILL NEVER REPLACE RYU. luke is just another generic blonde pretty boy like ed. give us a cool character like leroy smith from tekken.
>>11289414Luke is still a better choice for a SF6 line, character and design wise, than the tranny fighters
>>11289416i would so love a 3rd strike alex figure over luke, WTF is a luke? too bad alex will never get the love he deserves because he is a grappler character.
>>11289432alex is an even more nobody than Luke. He's more forgettable than Rashid.
>>11289432Alex? You mean that even MORE generic blonde fighter hulk hogan rip off who tried so hard to be the new main character but failed unsurprisingly?
>>11289442alex is not a ripoff but a homage to hulk hogan. just like hugo is to andre the giant. i know he failed as the ryu replacement because he is a grappler character just like abel failed in SF4 for the same reason. >>11289439nah bro, alex will always be the goat in 3RD strike. SFV did him dirty tho.
Should I get the deathstroke and arkham knight fellas...?
>>11289445Abel was awful, his design was very plain.
>>11288889Update: I managed to fix the peg by putting a scre through the ball into the stalk but. holy fuck. this joint is un-fucking-believably tight. No WONDER it broke, not even bathing it in silicone makes a difference Anyone other anons have dabi? Is his pec rotation super tight or did I just fucking flop the QC lottery?
>>11290024Not sure are you talking about, the ball joints of the body? I didn't notice but ball socket joints are known to be wild in tightness from loose to tight. I usually have to sand down one of like the main four (hips, waist, torso). Some AYs they are all loose like Wonder Woman, first issue Deku, etc. BUT my Dabi was broken out of the box. One of the two hinges for the uhhh side-torso joints? The two sides of the jackets moves like the standard AY shoulder blade rotations. But not much ideally? One peg hole was split open. I glued the whole thing back on, since it doesn't do much for articulation in this instance. . Otherwise he's good.
>>11280119>SachielCOMPLETELY ERECT
>>11290039In the body, yeah. Specifically the one connecting his upper torso to the abs. I tried reattaching it after fixing the break but it was so tight that I swear I saw the socket flexing outwards when it was connected. The peg survived that shit though so I guess it means my fix worked. Just have some sanding to do.>One peg hole was split open. I think one of mine is like this too actually, it doesn't seem to change much though
>>11290088I see. Yeah never had a ball joint so strong it snaps the shaft. Iron Spider was sort of like that with strong ball joint but the peg was just glued into the torso, being much weaker it did came off. But I just sand it down and glued the peg back into the torso no worries. And yes those side pegs sticking out, the socket for that was split open and couldn't stay on. It's interesting way to maybe share the inner frame for other AY?
Anyone have an idea why BBTS doesn't have Genos up for PO? I already ordered from Genki with the bonus but also noticed Genki doesn't have a separate listing of the figure without a bonus. Is this normal for Revoltech?Separate question but how do you see who sculped the figure? I've read Yamaguchi is leaving, I'm late to the party so just trying to figure things out.
>>11291104>Yamaguchi is leaving Fuck, that guy has been sculpting Kaiyodo figures since 2001 at least, with the ToyTribe Trigun figures.
>>11284344>couldn't even reply correctly
>>11291104>I've read Yamaguchi is leavingWho told ya that?> how do you see who sculped the figure? Most accurate way is kyd-store but amiami usually tells you in the description. Before it gets there the announcements usually tells you but in Japanese. Anons here talks about sculptors all the time so you get a good idea being here.
>>11291104But something like the OP image doesn't tell you yet. You can make some guesses with the AY name and who did what before. Yamaguchi probably only did Ryu Hayabusa there.
>>11291259Earlier, mid~late 90's. He did a bunch of garage kits, non articulated mechas before all that. Then articulated ones like Gaogaigar. Then Evangelion was the first PVC articulated completed figures I believe.
>>11291104>I've read Yamaguchi is leaving

I think Blade of the Archfiend is guaranteed, give or take a scabbard for it. If he comes with the scythe or vigoorian flail I'll probably drop some cash for him. >>11294289>storm>jada>female figuresNo thanks, I want my females figures with a good headculpt and without diapers
>>11294289These NG AY do well enough they will do DOA for sure. The only reason they started with NG is because the license surely is cheaper even though they have shared characters. AY is also already doing one fighting game I can see them moving onto another after they feel done with SF6.
>>11294889>I can see them moving onto another after they feel done with SF6god I hope that's soon
>>11294889I can see that. Plus it definitely hasesa or a roster, really just like 5 or so major playable characters.Ryu in a couple of costumes, Ayane, Kasumi, Sonya, Momiji, Sonya/Irene, and Rachel. If that's the case, it's definitely a good test run. Kinda hoping they drop a boss, if I'm being honest. Would love a Doku or Alma, maybe even a Regent of the Mask despite how shitty that game was. Still kind of a cool design. Someone in here mentioned Genshin in here as well, probably Alexei or one of the other greater fiends.
>>11294889>>11295344Yeah, the better make Marie Rose and Honoka
Dumb ass knee design aside, these are all pretty good figures. I wish the shoulders were better designed, but wharever.
Recently stumbled upon the Kaiyodo Figure Museum right next to Osaka Castle during my trip to Japan last month. It was so sick seeing the history of Revoltech and Kaiyodo in general. They had an entire section of dioramas which were gorgeous. Shout out to the Trigun display though.
>>11296158Nice. Must be one of the new or renewed buildings they spent a lot of their buyout money on. I went to one when they were like only on a tour. I hope you made use of their stores because more than likely you can get the bonus parts even though it wasn't a preorder. My favourite is shokugan and minifigures section, always impressive for Kaiyodo you never really realized how many they make. Not easy to keep track like Revoltechs.

Not sure when it happened, but the grey boxes aren't as grey anymore. The main photo of the revoltech has a colored background nowadays instead of the solid black.>>11291943Like so. I think the first one for me was Neos. You think they really get that much complaints?

>>11295948SHOW US THE ASSES!
which unit 01 scales well with ichibansho/10 inch godzillas? i am clueless about both. i found a nice old xebec one that looks big?
>>11296696What do you mean by "scales", honestly? Eva's height is always all over the place (I recently learned how huge Mark06 is compared to the others). Minus One Godzilla is much smaller than the recent vers because it had no need to be around skyscrapers. Bigger EVA-01 would be Robo-Dou or Metal Build? RG kits, Moderoid, and Revoltech 01 like the Natayanagi ver (looks more normal if you take of the thigh armors) are all similar in size, like a head taller than typical 1/12 human action figures. I would wait for the new AY ver to see what it's like. But I doubt the size will differ that much. Kaiyodo also have statues but they are huge typically. The ARTPLA ones might be better sized but you have to paint them. 01 for example is solid purple plastic. Old Yamaguchi swivel joints EVAs I don't have but worry that the joints might break easily or the paints are melting. They were like their second attempt at PVC action figures after Fist of the North Star?
>>11296825apologies for the vagueness. i was wanting to organize a little gift package for a close friend. so i was going to put together a godzilla figure with an eva unit 01. i don't know any of the lore for either i just know its a collaboration he really likes. i was going to get him the ichibansho shin godzilla or the king size bandai shin godzilla and was hoping to pair it an eva unit 01 that might scale similar to the media. i only thought of xebec because its one of the few figures i do own. i think its the 200x fotns line with the much older joints which aren't as delicate. that's why i was actually wanting to go for it. mine still hold up to this day. they also seem to be bigger than other kaiyodo figures that came out later judging by the size in hands in reviews.i'll look into the other figures you mentioned. thanks for giving company/line names!
>>11296825>Old Yamaguchi swivel joints EVAs I don't have but worry that the joints might break easily or the paints are melting. They were like their second attempt at PVC action figures after Fist of the North Star?is this before or after that, thank again! that's the one i found at first.
>>11296853>>11296856Yeah I was thinking of that one, if you have it and it isn't brittle or have degrading paint then yeah why not? The fatter robots like Gunbuster I have I'm not worried but wasn't sure with skinnier Evangelions. The pegs would be thinner so I thought they might snap. I had a Virtual-On that crumbled on it's own light weight. If it's okay for the Eva to be a statue as well you do know there is Ichibansho Eva as well. Both Banpresto and Sega have some statues I believe. Among the mostly pilots statues of course. I forgot who made it (Bandai?) but there were one or two Eva x Godzilla fusion statues, where they literally mixed the two. They were full statue price figures though not these game prize type figures that are cheaper.
>>11296935the non articulated figures/statues are going to be my last resort i think, especially now that you've given me plenty of articulated ones to look at. i've just gone onto mercari and they seem to have most if not all that you mentioned! thanks again, i really didn't realize so much was out there. and it's over half the price almost on there compared to ebay.>Eva x Godzilla fusion statuesthat is probably the perfect gift for him, but its very pricey from what i'm seeing on there now.
>>11296967I mentioned some kits but forgot mid-writing about the Kotobukiya kits. They might go for more now though.
>>11292351>Bayonetta*young Seiko Ayase, you mean
>>11296967Yeah sometimes you find the same stuff on Mercari, stuff that is on ebay plus 50 extra bucks.I'm pretty sure there's a gitd Eva that is 50 bucks on Mercari, and the same item is sold on eBay for more than 100, that's double the price for what it is asked in the nip market, shipping costs are likely like 20 USD so that's not really an excuse.
>>11294289>Storm Collectibles >make Zangief as the next in line instead of chun-li for their SF6 line>Made some injun wrestler as the second figure in the VF line instead of Sarah.Storm's too gay to be trusted with an IP that focuses on waifus.
>>11296856Man, this takes me back. I used to collect these way back. Fragile.... very fragile, I remember. The shoulder pads were the first thing to "break". They were glued on but they didn't hold well and just fall off. They looked nice as long as you didn't play with them.
>>11296825>>11296856Man these Kaiyodo-Xebec toys were huge, I thought they would be sightly bigger than the average 1/12 toy but when I went to a flea market and found a lot of this stuff I was impressed by the size of the packages and their contents.
>>11297781I don't want them to do waifus anymore after how Morrigan turned out.
What are the chances they reissue Bakugo at this point?
>>11299028Better than the others since the SHF went with a significantly different look of a costume.
>>11299619Agreed, plus bakugo has the most to gain from a reissue since the original could barely hold up the explosions. With some tweaking, they could probably fix that and potentially his height issues too.
>>11291951>>11291944I read this figure runs a bit small, around 5.5 inches. Comparatively kinda small to other AY figures.I know Hayabusa is like 5"11, but is anyone else maybe a little disappointed? I'm just interested to see how he lines up with other 6 inch stuff or other AY figures.
>>11299669This is also weird because Ayane is listed as 5.9 inches and Ayane is for sure shorter than Ryu. Sounds like someone measuring the figure or listing the height made an error or this is a legitimate scale issue.
>>11299667I think they fixed that mid production, with later batches having a longer peg elbow joints. I don't think it was a full reissue with PO so technically they haven't reissued MHA guys beside Deku and AM. If you mean joint tightness yeah that's doable, reissued Deku is tighter than the first. But height they can't do anything without making new molds so I doubt it. >>11299669>>11299684Heights listed before release (and after if they don't fix it) are usually wrong. Figure sizes changes during setting up the production. Normally they overestimate though.
>>11299669Also it's possible because Yamaguchi made that one he thought he's a Japanese ninja man, he shouldn't be a giant, and scaled according to his own impressions. He's usually careful with relative sizes of AY.
>>11299669And he's not even short lolhttps://www.kyd-store.jp/c/genre/amazing-yamaguchi_g_r/nr052Says 17cm so shouldn't be that off from this, like 5~10mm max.
>>11299724>>11299712Thanks anons, I was worried because the other online retailers have it listed at such a short height, I was worried he'd be the same size as their Deku figure, which other retailers have listed at around 5.5 inches. I dunno why I'm so autistic about the scaling, but Ryu always seemed pretty tall in the games, or at least average height.
>>11299732No scaling is important, even more so when it's all technically nonscale figures. Not an AY I know but I'm disappointed how small Ochako is when the AY Railgun girls are the perfect heights even with the MHA characters. Or old grudge but how minuscule AY Wonder Woman is. Both cases they look out of scale more than anything.

>>11300279Nice, he looks good. Am I crazy or does his articulation setup look a bit like an AY.
>>11300279He looks great
>>11300360I think it's the sculpt more so than the joint setup. Can't see the shoulders so nothing to say yet, but I think the thigh swivel isn't angled like how Yamaguchi does it. Just normal straight rotation and the muscular sculpts are overlapping the thighs a little. But they seem to ditch that awful looking hip system completely and just use ball joints even for the monsters.
>>11297943How fragile is pic related?
>>11300727Nta but I have the gitd version, and let me tell you that that fucker went through a lot and the things that broke were the horn (piece of shit snapped after the years) and part of the armor from the back (my fault because he had fallen from distance plenty of times). So this Eva is really durable, the ratched joints have become quite loose as time passed but besides the two reasons given above nothing else is broken, and still those two were more my fault for being rough with my stuff.
>>11300867I'm sold. Appreciate it. I'm quite gentle with my figures, so I think it should be safe. Might pick up this one as well to see. Bigger number maybe means bigger improvements.
>>11301169Revos during that era is when it finally became good and solid so you cant go wrong.
>>11301169If you're cool with rebuild, No.100 and later is the better option. If you're okay with 01's face which was the oddest one Yamaguchi has made. The other units are fine though. Evangelion Evolution line are mostly the same post 100 Evas but in a new box, some accessories swapped around. Eventually they made some new Evas. But FYI there is an AY 01 coming.
>>11301169Yeah it should be fine, I got the 4 arms Revoltech but the hip pieces were gummish and separated perhaps for the height, it really left a sour taste in my mouth.

>>11301397only if they start doing KOF figures and we get King and Yuri
>>11301397That's not how licensing works. Capcom has a deal with SNK. Kaiyodo has a deal with Capcom. That deal doesn't include rights to SNK. That needs a direct deal between Kaiyodo and SNK. Having a Smash Bros deal for toys doesn't automatically give you rights to Megaman or Solid Snake. Or SRW gives you instant access to pretty much all mecha franchises in Japan. You need corresponding individual licenses.
>>11301689Most of the anons here are too delusional too understand that. Kaiyodo obviously picked a specific IP when they pay for another company's license. They've been like this since AY monster hunter was announced: >"huh whaaa they're making monster hunter AY, a Capcom IP, then that must mean tehy could be makin DMC and resident evil">"durr kaiyodo is making AY NG, NG share the same universe with DOA, I can see them moving from SF6 onto the less popular fighting game"
>>11300727It's pretty strong. Revos are not like the Xebec figures if that's what you're asking. Mine is still in good shape. The horn is the only thing that you want to be careful with.
>>11301904I think those are a different story. Anons are talking about smaller hurdles to go over and not there's nothing stopping them because they have all the IPs from that company. I imagine past relations and current deals makes it somewhat easier to pick another IP than to start a new with a different company. You look at history of Revoltechs you can see many examples of that. Here >>11301397 they're talking having a single game license somehow also gives rights to another company's IP.
>>11301904>hurr durr derp you are all retarded not like me I am smarter I know all inner workings of kaydodo
>>11302711Not necessarily retarded, more like pathetically delusional.
>>11302711>>11303545I didn't realise Subjectanon still posted in this thread.
>>11301904Kaiyodo has been doing Capcom IPs for a long fucking time. Dante was one of their earliest humanoid AYs, and they had an entire SFO revo line that's basically been forgotten. It's not all just monster hunter in their background. RE I don't know, but DMC I really don't think is all that unbelievable for them to renew.
>>11303592NTA but I believe Dante isn't going to happen because of that poll results >>11283249I wrote my reasoning here >>11283481DMC doesn't have that big of impact in Japan, at least not as dominating compared to overseas. Sure one of the first 3 Revos was him for that Super, Real, and Humanoid types they were going for initially. But back then IP didn't matter as much. The fact that the only place that did some DMC action figures recently is the one known for doing the most niche IPs and has an American office doing America aimed IPs should paint you that picture. Japan don't care that much.
>>11300727If you buy a MISB one nowadays, incredibly. I bought all of them a little while ago and every single one broke. The PVC must've chemically reacted with the Revolver joints over the years to make them so brittle. I had to buy a whole bunch of Hobby Base joints to replace the broken ones.
monke
>>11304220Surprising, but, at least for now, no interest in this one. I still didn't put in my preorders for the latter 2 releases of the first 3, but I probably will just for the sake of completion. I've been on a model kit kick recently so haven't been getting all that many figures.
>>11304220Cool.Now I'm starting to get worried for the future of the MHA line, though.
>>11304237Same here, if we don’t see anything before Mirko releases, it’s probably over.
>>11304273I hope they're not giving the IP over to Bandai entirely.Having both make figures, especially of different characters, is valuable.
>>11304280Agreed, but then Bandai went and said they’re making Toga when the revoltech one looks perfectly fine and I doubt it will be much different. There’s plenty of other characters they could have picked… Froppy would sell very well, we still don’t have an All for One except the mcfarlane one which is arguable if it even scales, and no Nomu… can you imagine if a company gave us a Nomu with swappable heads and parts to where you could army build them? Would sell very well.
>>11304318>Agreed, but then Bandai went and said they’re making Toga when the revoltech one looks perfectly fine and I doubt it will be much different. There’s plenty of other characters they could have picked…Yeah, that annoyed me. So unnecessary. And yeah I want an AFO. The McFarlane definitely doesn't scale.
>>11304318>Froppy would sell very well,I would prefer an AY Froppy. Bandai wouldn't make her flexible enough. They should have done Mina or Momo.
>>11304374Gimme a Mina pls and thanks. Any line.
Is the Mazinger revoltech worth it, it seems a bit pricey for $150
>>11304391where is it 150....
>>11304393https://www.amiami.com/eng/detail/?gcode=FIGURE-179676$112 CAD rather, but probably more after shipping, it's still over a hundo despite being just 15cm
Speaking of MHA, I noticed something with Ochako. She has a thigh cut rotation which is always an eyesore especially a straight cut across zero detailing area. And they're completely pointless because the knee joints can rotate plenty enough already. You know one of the benefits Revoltech had from the start with their spherical joints. How her hip joints are designed can be done with ball joints too including the crotch cover pieces, SHF does that lots of times. So there's no need for the thighs to be 2 pieces sandwiching hinge joints. What I'm saying is Maoji is an idiot. Her size is off anyways so if more MHA means more of his involvement I wish it's dead. Toga's wrists are awful looking, the guy maybe able to sculpt but can't engineer action figures.
>>11304432>despite being just 15cmThat's on the bigger size for collector's mecha action figures. To go bigger you typically jump up a grade and add another $100 or more. Not only does this AY comes with lots of accessories, the main figure requires more parts to assemble. That's more costs for molds, more time for assembling. If a few cm matter so much, get a model kit. Infinity is bigger and cheaper.
>>11304447I imagined it was parts count that was the issue, I just don't know how Revoltech worked engineering-wise and how much it's improved since the old robot ones from 20 or so years ago.>Infinity is bigger and cheaper.I have it, but it's just gathering dust since I'm nervous about not being gentle with it. I'd really love a Mazinger I could play with, without worrying too much, is Revoltech more favourable for that, or should I look into Chogokin figures?
>>11304455This Revoltech isn't a Revoltech in the sense that it uses the joints that the new Revoltechs and AY are using, the joints used in the old ones aren't used to begin with. This Mazinger Z is like the AY Optimus Prime. It is closer to a model kit than a PVC action figures like Revoltechs, figma, ML, DC Multiverse, etc. So something to play with isn't really what this one might be. Compared to like an AY Spider-Man for example. The plastic type that makes up the bulk of the figure is different. I'm not a huge fan of Chogokins so can't say, Only got some SRC back in the day and they're okay. SOC to me seems more for display though. There might be a Mazinger X Robot Spirits in the future? Grendizer U was shit though so who knows.
>>11304318The nomu army would need a lot more then just headswapping, to be honest. There was a massive variety of body types and quirks, not to mention the other colors. Personally I'd be fine if we just got the iconic ones (USJ and Hood) as counterparts to all might and endeavor and left it at that. Also, I hope we eventually get a shiggy that isn't his fucking boring final form. Hand coat man was so much cooler

They either need to fire the person posing this figure or he’s just too limited.
>>11305430Assuming the shoulders are articulated like Neos, he should be able to get a bit better across the chest, but he does also have a lot of shit all over him due to design. Legs should be able to get all the usual articulation as they look pretty standard. That said, elbows and knees do appear to be fully single jointed with no deep cut, so elbows seem a bit more than 90, while knees seem to hit 90 if just. He'll definitely be more limited than Neos who had double joints and a clean design, and of course AY figures.
these guys like AoT I think.Warhammer next pls.

It's a good idea but the swords in general come off a bit dinky, but I guess that's just the design.
>>11305452>Wouldn't relative scale make this guy tiny compared to the others? I wonder how pricing would be like for it.You're right. He'd be 1/3rd the scale of the Attack, Armored and Female Titans.Maybe they should've gone with Falco's Jaw titan.
>>11305444Why don’t they do human characters?
>>11305304>>11305355>vinyl modelBarf, well, good for the anons who want it though.
>>11305492Because no one's done the titans before, and the humans wouldn't scale with the figures already out. Maybe they'll get to them after they finish doing what they want to do.
>>11305444Fuck yeah! Best Jaw Titan. I wasn't going to buy the others unless he got made. When we got the Beast announced the other day, I was hoping he would be next.>Warhammer next pls. It's either that, two out of scale Colossal Titans, or the two other Jaw Titans.
>>11305470>>11305452I'm sure they will ignore scaling. Maybe make it like a head shorter but not much. These are nonscale action figures to start with. And Revoltechs never cared about relative scaling especially when the subject is giant. Gunbuster wasn't a giant action figure. EVA-05 wasn't even in the same scale as the other Eva Revos at the time. This way they can do the colossal titan too.
ever since revoltech ramped up the figures have been underwhelming. this is all genos comes with
>>11297100>AI Slopping
>>11305655Most revos really haven't come with that much, anon. You can look through an AY catalogue and see this yourself. Pretty much the only ones that have a berth of accessories are ones that have had a bunch of reissues that add more and more shit, or they come with many multiples of the same parts (IS, Iron man, war machine, carnage, flash, just recently agent venom...)
>>11305655It's become kinda Figma level, whereas Figma on average has gotten worse from how it was a few years ago. We're all going down the drain together. Soon, every import figure will have a pair of hands and a pair of faces for 120 bucks, like SHF, and that's it.
>>11305864dont shf come with more hands and faces than figmas at this point
>>11305930More hands and faces probably but less accessories other than that. SHF and effects parts do not have a good relationship.
>>11294129On a similar note, what are the chances we get Yaiba? I know his game wasn't all that popular, but I'm a sucker for robot arms and I need someone for Ryu to bully.
>>11305655Like anon has said, the revoltech/AY anons think of of coming with heaps of stuff is done with use of repeats of a few parts. So the number of unique molds are kept low as possible. The outlier to this is someone like Deadpool who clearly sells and afford a bigger budget without risks. So to get a lot of option parts, first the parts have to be something that can be repeated and not be worthless. As in you can use many at once. For Genos maybe lightning effects that can wrap around him? Not so much a must have. And for anons saying IM style module parts, AY hasn't done such creative made up gimmick outside of DC and Marvel. Actually never for DC IIRC. Japanese media have very specific sources and the AY of those don't go that off script from them. Only thing really missing for Genos is the transformed arms cannon and that thing is very complex. Easily could cost like half a Revoltech with paints and assembly of parts. So you have the appropriateness of repeated pieces, and then if the subject even has the need for/popular enough for/allows invention of more unique parts/molds. That haven't changed really. The price points might have prevented some from getting that repeated parts treatment to keep it under 10000 Yen. But not giving the Revo unnecessary parts to keep price lower isn't a new movement. They haven't had a series fixed price in ages. They came with stuff that make sense when it made sense.
>>11305655This is why I'm glad I kept my AY Bakugo.
>>11305864bruh where are you getting scammed at? 120 bucks SHF? They're usually are around $60 to $90 without effect pieces. $120+ SHF are reserved for very few exceptional characters like kaidou, blackbeard and melania
>>11306040They made a SHF of Melania Trump?
>>11305864>>It's become kinda Figma leveWe're not that bad yet, it's erratic here but once we reach figma price level+barebones shit, that's when its figma bad.
>>11306053>yetExactly. :(
https://x.com/HobbyLobbyTokyo/status/1881555048624541935
>>11305655>conveniently ignores his most expensive accessory. Multicolor soft goods with print must be more involved than a single color flat cape. Assembly too if he's packaged wearing it. Revo at least lowers the price when it's barebones. SHF is all over the place depending if they own the IP and the quality or engineering don't reflect the pricing necessarily. Revo (and figma) is more consistent there since the same sculptors and mostly same joints are being used.
>>11306183NTA but point taken on the soft goods. That probably isn't cheap.But... since I'm probably gonna take it off and stash it and never really use it, it may as well not exist.Me problem, though, I guess.
>>11306082That's part of the default equipment right?
>>11306214I'm thinking of getting rid of it also, but it also invokes a fair bit of personality. I want to support the line but this is probably my least favorite Genos look. I'll probably still support these damn releases because I like OPM and I want a damn Boros.
>>11306254I just want a Genos that isn't shit. The Dasin or whatever it was was okay but felt a bit derivative. The Figma was awful. The AY is great and does what I wanted it to, but it just didn't go quite as far as I had hoped.
>>11306225yes, it's the Kusari-Gama
>>11306319Okay just checking. Im still seething about the scythe so I forgot about that weapon.
>>11305492Kaiyodo's very obviously avoiding any characters that already have figmas or SHFs.
>>11306274Do you just mean you expected more accessories? Considering the price, he comes with a decent bit. Blasts, thrusters, rocket fists, blades. Sure he doesn't have his combining arm cannon but what were the odds of that ever happening? It would be overall bigger than the actual figure. He's pretty much set to do everything he did while he wore his outfit, which was fight Garou and Elder Centipede. I wonder if by the time S3 shows up we might (probably not right away but soon) get a proper S3 Genos. Or maybe like with MHA, Bandai will swoop in and do the current arc stuff while Kaiyodo is left to do older looks.
>>11306452I mistyped. "I just wanted a Genos that isn't shit," as opposed to "I wanted a specific Genos look."And the Amazing Yamaguchi isn't shit, just not as amazing (pun not intended) as I had hoped it would be.He's fine. I'm not saying he's bad. Just idealistic pining, I think. I have the Kaiyodo Store version of him on PO and am still really excited for him.
>>11306452Speaking of accessories, did they ever announce or tease more of those Option Parts packs? I'm a sucker for these sorts of things; I like to have a box of extra swords and shit for my guys to fight with.
>>11306490Nta but I too would love more accesory packs, for me blades or maces would be the next stuff to do.
>>11306082>>11306319Man I really don't like accessories that are linked by real chains like this. They are fucking fussy and annoying to pose with.

>>11306597Big figures exist, though, you know?
>>11306600Sure do. The only people who do 24"+ figures is pretty much just Hasbro through crowdfunding. I don't think Kaiyodo is going to be doing a 24"+ figure with massively thick limbs anytime soon.
>>11306608I don't expect the sofvi to be quite that big either.
>>11306609I quoted this terribly in the previous post but the below is their caption from their IG post. >kaiyodo_pr Colossal Titan Is confirm ,we will make it in MegaSofvi ver ,it will be big like the show
Mega Sofubi are huge iirc, but also expensive. Not for the masses that's for sure. I think they're usually 50cm and like 30,000 yen.
>>11306619>>11306655Might be wrong, but I don't know if this would be big enough to be in scale.
>>11306664That looks to be around 18-20". Just needs 4-6 more inches, but also a lot more thickness. No matter what it's going to be pricey. If it is to scale, great for those excited. If they make Warhammer I might get that, but otherwise I doubt I'll get anything else. Maybe a Jaw, price dependent.
>>11306669>Maybe a Jaw, price dependent.I wonder how big he'd be. 1/3 the size of the other ones?
>>11306534Colossal Titan feels like the quintessential boring boss fight where the giant boss just swings their arms for 10 years while the player is on a raised platform. Using the explosion from the transformation as some sort of bomb was the coolest thing related to it.
>>11306534Mega Sofvi or not, I'm still surprised it took this long before anyone attempted the Titans. At this point it's safe to say that the Cart and Warhammer will be getting released, and so I wonder if they will attempt the Founder or even final form Eren.
>>11306695Founder and Final Form Eren would probably be Mega Sofvi as well. Cart and Warhammer I can see being made as AY.They seem to be on an announcing spree, so maybe we'll see another one of them tomorrow.
>>11306703>announcing spreeProbably preWF promotion started. They'll start showing all that will be displayed at the event leaving no surprises.
>>11306534>>11306664g-guy, you haven't forgotten me, do you?
>>11306672That's the thing, plus his head is about as big as theirs with a lil body. Curious how they'll do him.
>>11306772That's why it might have been better to do Falco's Jaw Titan. He's a bit bigger.
>>11306777But then it would be a shit looking Jaw Titan.Porco>Marcel>Falco>Ymir>Falco but this time it's a stupid fucking bird deus ex machinaBesides, the Cart Titan will be smoll no matter what.
WHERE IS THE AY RYU KAIYODO!?
>>11306846Maybe Jaw and Cart could have been a 2-pack. Everyone who doesn't know AoT wondering why Revoltech is making realistic Trolls.
>>11306846Falco's Jaw Titan isn't that bad looking.
>>11307045I don't hate the initial look of his Jaw Titan, I just prefer Porco and Marcel's look as the Jaw. They look like midget wrestlers wearing angry hockey masks. It's when Falco turned into an actual bird Titan because the plot required him to fly everyone to Marley that I went "well that's fucking stupid." I know. Some bullshit about Zeke's spinal fluid blah blah blah. It was still one of the most insulting contrivances in that arc.
>>11306884You still want the AY even after having the storm ones?
>>11307071AY are better.
I just don't think the Titans' scaling will be that accurate. Beast won't be that big or Jaw that small. Just slightly bigger and slightly smaller compared to the first 3 releases. And then the Mega Sofvi will be about the same as the others which is underscaled but big enough that idk the few thousand people who gets it will be satisfied.
I'm just happy Kaiyodo is making a Revo Izutsumi, wish Marcille and Laios would also be made but they already have upcoming Figmas sadly.
>>11307425No point in speculating until they show them off in prototype form or solicitations. The only thing we know is that Kaiyodo themselves say it'll be big like the show. >>11307556There will probably be a Figma Izutsumi, so likewise no real reason to think Revo couldn't make the other chars. With Bandai seemingly only doing Kinnikuman, I'd love if Revoltech took it on and got at least a few characters made.
>>11307566I feel like Kaiyodo has Kinnikuman in mind for break glass situation for AY. Similar to the Revol-Mini, they can pump out several characters with mostly shared parts. It's like one of the most profitable for the least costs, and timing doesn't really matter. There are slight ups and downs sure like the new anime or when manga came back but I don't think coming out now or 10 years in the future, 10 years ago makes a huge difference. When shits get real bad and they can't afford high paint and parts number for a reasonably priced action figure they can go on life support with Kinnikuman.
>>11307593A nice thought for fans of Kinnikuman, maybe, but who knows. People keep talking about AY blanks, but the old Revoltech Kinnikuman could become just about fully a blank back with that old release, coming with a blank face and otherwise just have red trunks and boots. Wonder Fest is coming up in the next couple weeks, so maybe we'll get to see both more from existing franchises as well as some new stuff that they're working on. What we're looking forward to/expecting sounds like a reasonable OP question once that's made.
>>11307613That's why I think they'll never do blanks because eventually there will be AY that can act as one. Well two for both genders. The 3 titans are all good candidates honestly. They don't seem to show off anything new at the Japanese WFs anymore though. Anything that might've been new they announce online prior.
goodbye warhammer titan dreams.
>>11307792HELL YEAH
>>11307792Yamaguchi...PLEASE
>>11307792What the hell is Patlabor EZY?
>>11307792They're going through all the old hits, huh.
>>11307792I called it for the mecha IP they'll do. Pretty much the same IPs they've been doing outside of Revoltechs lately
>>11307869Not sure if I got to posting this but was going to mention how these IPs they already were releasing figures/kits for recently will likely get revoltechs too.
>>11307805It's not AY and only a Revoltech. >>11307792Gonna guess they'll get Tani Akira to sculpt, who knows to joint it.
>>11307819New anime (2026?)>>11307792Here's what the full body looks like.
So does Ryu have a release date yet
>>11307879>It's not AYOh. Well, fuck that then. The Revo B-team is absolute garbage.
>>11308105Well we don't really know who's doing it, might be different since it's a robot. Otsu has been suspiciously absent from all the YGO revos and he's more of a mecha sculptor. He did most if not all of the Assemble Borgs.
>>11308118>absent from all the YGO revosRecently I mean
