Why are there no Archer/Frisky Dingo toys/action figures? You'd think that would be an obvious pick considering the first season starts as being about making collectible toys as a source of revenue.
>>11286939Because it was boring and cancelled. It was just another one of those shows where they don't animate much and just talk all the time.
>>11286956While this is a bad faith interpretation of Archer and FD, which both do quite a bit of action for something on a shoestring budget in Georgia, I'm really just sorry that you can't appreciate fine storytelling and deep characters over gay demons twerking every four minutes. It must be very hard to have such a low attention span.
>>11286964Whoops. Archer is great because there is actually something happening and character interactions are snappy. Frisky Dingo is just the thing I said previously.
>>11286968I still think that's unnecessarily harsh. It probably had the budget of Squidbillies or Aqua Teen at the time, was the first cartoon out of a new studio, and focused more on insane day to day stuff. The improvised dialogue fits the "insane DnD session set in Atlanta after a bar crawl," and for 2006 the idea of superheroes being weird dudes and having crazy relationships wasn't played out in animation. They did as much action as could be expected of a third-tier new show on a fermenting network.
