What's your favourite digivice/v-pet?
>>11288041The only one I ever had was the Savers one. Me and my best friend picked them up from Toys R Us way back when. I got the Agumon one and he got the Gaomon one. Otherwise I'd always rather play the World or Rumble Arena games than with these growing up.
>>11288041This fucking thing.I managed to get the ver 2 x silver and gold a month ago for 40 total but i feel empty without ver 3 since I love alphamon.
on a purely aesthetic standpoint, the ones from frontier. but I'm fairly certain that's just because it reminds me of skannerz and that was rad as hell.as far as the toys themselves, I've only ever had the one from 02 which was ok and a CSA from tri which... well it isn't a digital pet so whatever, but it looks solid at least.
>>11288041For Digivices, it's a tie between the D-Tector Ver. 2, and the Bandai Asia Fusion Loader. Had a blast with both with the amount of Digimon you could use. Especially the latter, for managing to fit in a quest covering the entire series, something not even the original can claim. For V-Pets, it's another tie between the Digimon X ver. 1 and the Pendulum Cycle Ver. 8. The Pendulum Cycle is frustrating at first, but once you overcome the steep learning curve with evolution requirements, it's kind of fun. Still hated the evolutions resetting at bedtime though. Also the Pendulum Cycle gets props just for inadvertently starting the Colosseum battle system that the anniversary V-Pets would follow. The backwards compatibility with everything from the original Ver.1 up to that era is a major plus as well. I really wish the later anniversary V-Pets were able to keep that feature, but it's understandable why it wasn't possible.
>>11288041Dont get why bandai dont reboot digivices
>>11288459Because they're greedy assholes who want to sell the TV devices as premium Bandai items for $100 instead of the $20 they'd have to sell on Amazon.
Did they ever sort out that fiasco with the US release of the wave 2 digimon X? I don't want to pay $100 for a Japanese one
>>11288880Kind of. They eventually released devices with the correct rosters but it was really only the silver version and blue version. They only released the transparent purple and red ones in an incredibly limited capacity. The fuck up though is what prevented the Wave 3 devices from ever being localized to English. Such a shame, I always try to support the English releases of Digimon stuff.
>>11288880>>11288195Basically yes but get them while you can. The gold ver is getting harder to find.
>>11288586It wasn't very long ago that the Digimon X came and went, most of the ones near me made it to the clearance rack before they disappeared completely. Those were $20, very accessible, yet nothing. Hasbro doesn't actually want to promote its brands, it would rather throw shit at a wall and see what can stick purely by the strength of its brand recognition.
>>11289135>HasbroLmao you people don't even know what you're kevetching about.
>>11289151I meant Bandai, my brain just went a little smooth for a moment, I guess. Hasbro's been taking up a good bit of my hate real estate lately, which used to go to Bandai's lack of US support for Digimon, but I've kinda given up on that.
>>11289333>lack of support for DigimonFixed that statement for you. They only care about the tcg right now and it's more like barely care.
>>11288041I hate them. I can't bring them at work because it's work. And they also need constant care, so one night I wake up in my dark room and here the long tone death sounds and got spooked hard.
>>11289399Can't you just pause them while you're away nowadays?
I like the most X2 for the roster.
>>11288041Fucking insane how there's no active Digimon figure line right now. Only interesting thing going on atm is a steady stream of decent quality PVC bootlegs of resins. China seems to love Piedmon since they've done 4 bootlegs of him so far, yet not a single Myotismon.
>>11289334Yeah, the TCG is mostly what got me back into it, and I kinda wanna slap whoever is in charge. I think they're pushing four or five different card games simultaneously, but they're only focusing on whichever is doing the best (don't even know if that's One Piece or the union whatever game, but it's certainly not Digimon). Hell, last I checked, Wal-Mart is still selling 2022 gift boxes and assorted starter decks, I haven't seen a new booster in-store for about a year now.
>>11288041are we ever going to get a color digimon in the USA
>>11290577You can order them, I'm pretty sure I saw a listing on Amazon a few days ago. The pendulum color has English menus, too, but they're not compatible with each other. The only issue is the cost, they're expensive for what they are.
