OH NO NO NOhttps://toybook.com/joann-files-chapter-11-less-than-a-year-after-emerging-from-bankruptcy/>Diamond dead>Hasbroke most likely dead>Joann, a distributor who also does toys and games, dies againJanuary is one hell of a month already
Eh.Red Lobster filed for bankruptcy and yet there's still an open location about 6mi away from me.
>>11298479That means two things:1) they want to safe the company and keep it running since closing everything down costs waaaay more (and the debtors just accept it)2) They're going to suck the company dry and pretend everything is dandy while doing so.
>>11298472They sold toys?
>>11298472The fabric store?
>>11298485>>11298498Yeah they sold toys. Mostly cheap Temu-tier crap, and some licensed board games.
Now where am I supposed to get fabric for customs?
>>11298485No. Maybe a beanie baby or two.
>>11298485>>11298501I got my 3 in one Dino set there for 15 dollars, and gave it to a cousin for Christmas
>>11298485They have those cute little animal families that wear suits and drive cars and go grocery shopping.
>>11299161I wanted those when I was four
We're probably going to be seeing a lot of places filing for bankruptcy or just flat out going under for a while. I mean, its already been happening the past few years, and it is only going to get worse.

>>11299217Is this Amazon's fault? Or Etsy? Idk enough about crafts to know.
>>11298472It's funny how /toy/ thinks Hasbro is primarily a toy company. Their primary product is a card game.
>>11298472Getting really tired of living in the downfall timeline where I only see who died, what went out of business and what thing we no longer have that people used to have.
>>11298503Estate sales.
>>11298503>>11299378The only stores that I can think of that sell fabric are Hobby Lobby and, depending on the store, Wal-mart. So, probably them.
>>11298472I went into a Joann fabrics a few times last year because I heard they sold Mario figures. They did, but it was all older waves. The store was really just unpleasant to be in imo. It felt very strerile like Walmart, like you just want to get out of there. I also noticed a lot of their place was disorganized in one store. The aisles felt very random and didn't make much sense in the order they went. Maybe that was just a bad store I went into.>>11298472A lot of Gamestops are closing/have closed too.>>11300439Michaels as well. I think there's another big chain I'm forgetting about.
>>11298498That's what I was thinking when I read this. I go there when I need emergency fabric (they've been going downhill for years and the prices and quality of the fabric they carry aren't worth making it your main spot) and I never even noticed the toys.
