Take this with a grain of salt for now!
This source labels his rumors as dreams! He posts in Chinese.
First:

I dreamed about some specific minifigures that might come out. In my dream, I saw all the details of characters like Luffy, Shanks, Buggy, Zoro, etc. There were quite a few molds, with some parts made of soft plastic. The colors were pretty accurate, and the legs had dual printing. The hats were well-made.

Then after it was publicly rumored:

Today, a LEGO fan account further confirmed my dream. Anyway, in my dream, it didn’t take long for the announcement to happen. Tonight, I’ll dream again, this time about LEGO One Piece minifigures. After that, maybe I’ll dream about Dragon Ball.

Then now:

I went to dream about Dragon Ball, and so far I only dreamed about Goku with black hair, two-color printing on his legs, and a normal top.

Its notable that the molds that have leaked match his descriptions. Note the soft plastic comment and then look at the Buggy mold.

Kramer said he will dive into this and might be real!

Lego DBZ is happening!

>fullmetal alchemist
>digimon
>bleach
>lupin 3rd
>castlevania(videogame only)
>one punch man
>one piece
>avatar last airbender
>legend of korra
>gundam
>astro boy
>naruto
>sailor moon
>all studio ghibli
>yugioh
>jojo's bizzare adventure

I’m a Mattel guy, but I have some insider information I want to share. In 2026, Lego and Mattel will join forces to release a line of Barbie and Masters of the Universe sets.

The Masters of the Universe sets will be based on the upcoming live-action film directed by Travis Knight.

From what I know, Mattel plans to phase out the Mega Construx line over the next two years, gradually releasing fewer products until it's discontinued. The final releases for the Mega sets will be Pokemon-related sets in 2025, after which Lego will take over the license to produce sets starting in 2026.

Mattel has determined that it’s more cost-effective and beneficial to give Lego the rights to produce these sets, similar to how Hasbro has done with their own IPs.

Mattel and Hasbro have also recently collaborated on crossover toys, so this isn’t entirely new. I hope lego leakers who are into lego company will confirm this soon. Or in time.

Also, wonder if we get Arlong, when you think about it, OP has lots of potential, even based on netflix, because season 1 has so many things that can be made into sets and the sets are releasing close to season 2 so 2026 sets will be season 2 heavy and with info that s3 is also being filmed. Yeah, we are back. 6-7 seasons planned for this hit, lego can do this for years.

Thoughts on the deep freezer defender? Seems like it may be the best flagship in Lego space. The mtron mega core magnetizer is the best, but not a ship
>>
>>11299936
Yeah, I'd say it's the coolest (pun not intended) ship. Most other ships in that size range are just flying boxes with wings (Mediator, Cosmic Fleet Voyager) or have a huge mechanism that takes up all the internal space (Mission Commander). The Defender has so many functions and ways to rearrange shit, it blows every other ship out of orbit.

Fair point. If I do buy I'll probably be supplementing with my own colors to add as better highlights for the main white color. Minifigs are whatever, I have plenty of them from back in the 90s. Lore I just make up on my own.

I do wish they'd go back to making actual space themes like back in the 90s rather than just a lego city expansion with some nasa shuttles. But in all honesty I was never a huge fan of a lot of the oldschool space builds. For instance, the biggest ship set of mine is pic-related. It's pretty cool but it's flimsy as fuck and the interiors are just lacking. None of it is even pretending to be sealed off from the vacuum of space.

lego started covering everything in useless smooth 1x1 tiles and cheese wedge pieces in order to inflate piece counts and drive up prices, since smoothbrains only assess value on a price-per-piece basis. Change my mind.

I'm not saying they can't or don't, but I am saying that lego has increasingly relied on these tiny "finishing touch" pieces all over everything in their sets to drive up piece counts to justify higher prices.

And I'm against legos not looking like legos. Don't get me started on the shit where official sets don't have any studs showing at all, as if they're ashamed its made of legos. At that point just get an actual model kit of a ferrari or whatever.

so you don't like the artistic direction of modern set design, and the "inflated piece count" complaint is just an attempt at a more "objective" justification for that dislike
you're allowed to not like smoothed-over sets, doesn't make them objectively bad. the main market for legos is still parents shopping for young children, and they aren't looking at piece counts - they're getting whichever one the kid thinks looks coolest in the picture on the box.

>>
>>11300038
While you’re not wrong about what the parents are looking for. As the parent you described, Lego is very clearly no longer a kids toy. I don’t fault them for wanting to be successful but don’t pretend it’s for kids or that’s the major market demographic anymore. It’s not.
>>
>>11300038
>the main market for legos is still parents shopping for young children,
I honestly don't think that's true anymore. And my distaste for extreme is independent of the theory I posed. Yes, I don't like it when every single corner and face of a lego set is capped with tiles and smooth curve pieces to the point where you can't even tell there are any bricks at all, I don't have a problem with those pieces in and of themselves, and think they can look very good when used in a balanced manner. But none of that changes the fact that people DO look at piece counts and use them as a metric to judge set prices, and lego leans into this by adding tons of filler pieces that inflate piece counts without adding much to the sets overall in terms of what you get.

Not to mention that a higher portion of sets' pieces being these tiny tiles and wedges makes it far harder for kids to actually build their own stuff like we used to be able to do.

>>
>>11300027
This annoys me the most in instances like this where they tile off so much that there's nowhere left to even stick a minifig. How are my lego dudes supposed to even use those stairs when it's pretty much impossible to balance one on them without a single stud?

juniorization is a spook. Sometimes having big prefab pieces is just better. Better for stability, better for allowing larger playsets at a reasonable price. Imagine if something like the johnny thunder amazon ruins had to be completely brick-built rather than relying on a god-tier baseplate to create much of the scene. It would've cost in the hundreds of dollars. And surprise surprise, with modern lego any decent-sized building or castle or temple or whatever costs several hundreds.

Things like this are really cool and fun to play with as a kid but are ugly as sin as an adult, assuming you've got your nostalgia goggles off. Large pieces are great for kids toy sets (and are still pretty commonly used in them) but for something that's meant to look nice instead of being bashed around by a child, smaller pieces make for a much nicer looking product
>>
>>11300085
Just admit you don't like legos.
>>
>>11300085
Alright, what I said before wasn't entirely fair. Yes, big chunky stuff doesn't look as good if we're only talking about UCS display piece stuff. But the issue is that what I'm saying applies to playsets too, which are the majority of sets. It'd be one thing if 500 dollar rivendales and tudor mansions were independent, but they're not. They eat playsets' lunches. Lego doesn't even make raised baseplates and stuff like that anymore. They don't make playsets for kids anymore. Sure you can get affordable vehicles and whatnot, but not these sort of scene pieces that a kid could let their imagination run wild with. not anymore.
>>
>>11300092
>They don't make playsets for kids anymore
Because kids don't want them anymore. If there was any demand for big playsets, Lego would be making them. There just isn't.
30 years ago the idea of having your own little world to play around with was appealing to kids, nowadays they can boot up their Playstation and have a far larger, more interactive virtual world to play in, no assembly required. Mario 64 killed the playset.
>>
>>11300097
Retarded take from someone who shouldn’t breed.
Kids love legos man. Lego just doesn’t know how to work with kids anymore.
>>
>>11300097

>>
>>11300097
I build playsets with my kids, but I'm only able to do this because I kept all my giant lego tubs from the 90s and early 2000s. It makes me sad that most people don't even have the opportunity. Imagine being a kid growing up now and the only options are dinky mcdonalds-tier 4+ sets for babbies and expensive dust collectors that dad is never going to allow you to un-kragle
>>
>>11300105
Yup. Got a 4 going on 5 year old. We love the 3-1 castle in our house. Harry Potter, friends, and Mario come in after that but by far creator sets and my old legos are the most popular.

It was! Built them all then settled back on the T-Rex. Currently digging on the new spider. All those 10-15 dollar 3-1 sets have been hits the sad thing is those smaller sets are what the kids want. I should have said polybags too. We get multiples of just about every one because they’re such a fantastic deal and usually have fun little play features. The Sleeping Beauty and squirrels and ninjago polybag with the wolf dude we’re amazing. Looking forward to the Harry Potter Quidditch practice so I can get a ton of statues.
Also Lego fucking hates that kids still love Harry Potter.

There's a huge problem with the rebrickable community, in that people make these digital builds using Studio, they aren't working physically with parts at all, this means the build experience is out the window, but it also means Total Piece Indulgence that would make a pick a bricker weep in life savings.
And my other issue, is one of creativity. one is not encouraged to eureka new techniques when they have access to an entire library. my best builds came from limited part selections
what are your thoughts on digital builds and my points? not to single out the image I posted, it just prompted the ponder

Didn't Lego just make a new amputee/half arm piece?

I got the Blacktron Renegade this week. Overall it's good, and bigger than I was expecting (the long "necks" and cockpit piece adds a lot of length to the model). Also, while it's not fully compatible with the GWP ship, you can attach the cockpit from that one to the Renegade's hull. It feels a bit loose since it only has clips holding it in place on one side, but it does stay in place.
>>
>>11299977
I liked the Galaxy Explorer having a lot of interior detail. A lot of the original big space ships were mostly empty on the inside, with at most some small vehicle being stored in an otherwise featureless room. The Explorer has stuff like bunks for crew to sleep in, computer consoles, and a functioning door that connects the crew area to the cargo hold. Granted, these are more display- than play features. Most of the Explorer's footprint is the wings, but that couldn't really have been altered without radically changing the proportions, which would have gone against the whole idea of making it an accurate remake of the original but with modern built techniques and bigger.
I feel the new Renegade actually suffers more from being big for the sake of it. Despite being huge it has very little interior space, and if they'd have gone with a single-seater cockpit like the original they probably could have made it only slightly larger than the original while still having the same amount of details and features. It kind of feels they upscaled the model by 50% just because the Galaxy Explorer did the same thing.
>>
>>11300571

sorry but a lot of the anime you listed are
-nobody's heard about them-level

they may be important to YOU and they may actually make for great Lego sets given an infinite limit to what sets Lego will make

only MEGA POPULAR anime could even hope to be considered, and Dragon Ball fits that.

Maybe something like Sailor Moon because people (average consumers, not anime fans obviously) have heard about it

the absolute best hope is that they might make hair pieces/head face prints/torso deco from other sets that could be combined into your favorite anime character, and you can make your own set for it (but DESU a ton of anime characters have unique hair styles so good luck)

I know Octan is supposed to be a gas company, not oil, and replaced Shell, and if I'm reading this right Octan's coloring actually predates those Castrol liveries so it isn't even a reference. The number of yogurts you end up with reminds me of the old pic I saw here once. This guy had likd dozens of yodas tossed into the old millennium falcon carrying case. I can never find it through googling.
But yeah I'm not a fan of boba fat either. I just needed his micro fighter to pair with the mech boba. Caught both on sale for $5 each.
