Is 2K clearcoat worth investing in? You can get matte versions of it (or I could just topcoat it with a matter varnish); I heard it's basically indestructible compared even to lacquers. Might be good for fully painted builds, I know automotive modellers swear by it.

I print under a shelter, and inside a standing tent outdoors, it kinda looks like a meth lab but I understand a lot of people don't have areas like that in their house or have other concerns. You can also use the set up for airbrushing with a portable compressor if you're worried about stuff like fumes indoors but wind, sunlight and dust outdoors.

>>11530730There's numerous STL sites out there. Cults, Thingiverse, Yeggi, Myminifactory, etc etc. A lot of stuff for free, a lot of stuff paywalled. You can, of course, also just make stuff yourself as well. That said, there's very little out there specifically made for our little ladies. Most creators who make girlpla things are the very same ones selling their goods on BOOTH, so they keep the files to themselves. What few things that are publicly available for girlpla are pretty mediocre or outright terrible. The only good models are Puni Mofu faceplates, and I think a head core. Otherwise anything you want to print for your girls has to be largely measured out and resized appropriately by yourself. Super rewarding aspect of the hobby though. It's a boon for quite literally everyone in the hobby regardless of skill level, but especially for those who either can't be bothered or don't have the skill to scratch build or sculpt things.

>>11531996It's a custom using mostly custom resin parts. The tail, however, appears to be from Arca Nadea Elena, and the hip armor is from the one MSG samurai armor set. Pretty sure the sword is from whatever the MSG set is that's katana-based. Impossible to tell what base girl was used here, but it doesn't really matter as there's no particularly defining characteristics. It's a block 1 kit though considering the shoulder and chest connection type.

Built my copy of Vio after she was trapped in hlj shipping prison and then backlog hell since she came out.She's roughly average in the broader scope of mecha musume these days, almost a little below. I don't care for how her beast mode legs were designed, and considering that they are basically the main mechanical aspect of the kit I'm pretty disappointed. The design of just base Vio is quite nice. I love the contrast of the multiple pinks and her pale skin against the black armor, and the eyes being articulated makes her (kinda goopy) faceplates very full of life. Some of the mold quality is a bit mushy too, buy most of the flaws are minor enough to ignore.Articulation is average, double jointed knees, nice shoulder range, and while the torso isn't super articulated the range it does get is good enough. Her hip design is quite lacking, being about on par with early bad MS General girls with a strangely oriented T bar joint that breaks the ass sculpt and most of the groin exceptionally easily. Subtle poses aren't an issue, but action poses can get kinda screwy from certain angles.The wild thing here is that while she badly lacks weapons and accessories, she basically includes two full complete bodies, each with two sets of limbs each and an additional gynoid spare torso that you can put a pair of the extra limbs on. She also has full stands for each body.All in all not a bad kit, especially with there being literally three full kits for a price around that of a mid sized Megami Device kit. The cat girl seems kinda ugly from the artwork we've seen of her but the octopus and bat look pretty good. Hope Anima Circut can do well.
