Speaking of the game, I hope the boss fights are fun and diverse, unlike that GI Joe beat em up.
Like Skeletor copies himself like Shredder in TMNT Arcade, or he starts off as a melee with the Terror Claws but also armor and Dragon, a certain amount of damage kills Dragon leaving just his skull/spine, more damage knocks the Terror Claws off and he switches to spells with the Havoc Staff, his armor dents and then breaks off and vanilla changes to a final attack pattern.

What are some unexplored dynamics you'd like to see between Evil Warriors? Mostly we get endless interactions between members of the Diamond Ray of Disappearance group. There was Webstor/Kobra Khan before 200X simplified KK to "obsessed with King Hiss from the moment he steps in Snake Mountain".
Outside of the movie guys with Evil-Lyn and Beast Man and a mute Blast-Attak's membership in the Motherboard cult, have 1987 Evil Warriors even met the earlier ones?

I think my ideal "Double Hero" for Origins would be the unseen vintage Two Bad torso, scaly arm and upper leg, Rio Blast hips, sculpted pant leg (from a wrestler?), one Rio boot, Spikor arm in (white) flesh tone with a chainsaw instead of the extendable trident, one Rattlor shin/foot and heads that look like Bruce Campbell and a friendly scaly reptile man. I have this set and it's great and talked about it before here.
Its great. Extra paint apps are nice and the figures also feel solid enough. Spring action works great and feels famliar to original. The only gripe I see is the heads being similar or from the commemorative series as opposed to the true original but I can look passed that I guess, as I dont have any commemorative.
From what I've seen there is no full power sword included, maybe some foreign sets do, but the accessory count on the box doesnt account for it at least on the ones I've seen, seems to be a thing only seen in that render to me... The paint apps on the halfswords and the havoc staff both have that nice metallic sheen on the figures as well. Both sword halfs and the havoc staff are the same from origins wave 1, but the colors reversed for the swords probably to differentiate them from origins.
Is there anything specific you want to know ?

What's the logic behind changing Origins to Cartoon Collection for a cartoon that ended 23 years ago instead of the new movie? Is Mattel precommitting to the aging man fandom being willing to re-purchase the core cast every two years but disliking the upcoming movie?
>>
>>11562104
Rule 1 is keep your A-listers on shelves as much as possible. There's a reason why you can always find bee and prime in every store. They sell better than any other bot. Skeletor and He-Man. Are the same.
Also, the movie isn't out yet.
>>
>>11562040
Naw. The vast majority of what you listed is stuff I don't care about.

I dont think you'll regret it. I like them quite a bit and can't put them away, had them for over a month now. I also have the originals but they will stay packed away, my he-mans legs are super wobbly now... Couple other things I need to mention; the 80th set has ball pegs for the legs as opposed to the rubber things and they stand a little squatter naturally probably so they can mount easy with the pegs etc. Skeletor is a lighter blue than he should be imo.

Sisters, I have been suggesting that we try to help each other out for years.
It wasn't just bitchposting when I said that one of the reasons I cooled on buying Origins was reading the constant "oh shit, that toy I really wanted and can't get is on clearance down there." Why even bother trying to be a completionist if you can't get most of the stuff. It auto kills the hype for new reveals to. I don't understand Mattel's reasoning on this.

Based on what has been mentioned in this thread
>vintage He-Man and Skeletor
I never had the vanilla pair of them as a kid, just the later variants. The exact moment Origins 100% hooked me was being able to finally put together the two halves of the sword. You read about the two halves in the Golden Books but didn't get to the thing with your toys....life is hard bros.
Anyways once I became a toy collector, I know I had to have these two vintage.
>Unicorna
Funny but sucks to stand on his own and can't pose for shit. I probably should have got the carded one...life is so hard bros.
>Magoon
I guess he's the best KO? All those lines seemed like they had a blond, boring good guy leader. But this one has a helmet!
>Battle Cat Man
Almost perfect. I think his helmet sits weird on his head and looks bad. Otherwise though this is exactly what I want from the crossovers.

Maybe its just the way my taste work, but I'd rather see crossovers work like the companies make the mashups that fit perfectly (like Battle Cat as a Thunder Cats character) but do a wider varity of IPs.
>>
>>11562359
I think necroconda was one of walmart collector figures that sold out immediatly during a collector con event. Can anyone remember that? Either way, walmart kinda sucks at exclusive figures that often end up somewhere else.is it a taz write off between wal mart ans mattel?

>Thread Question: What's your MOTU wishlist BUT you can only pick one character per letter of alphabet?

Hmm, you wouldn't be able to get all of vintage but you would get pretty far. You would have to pick between

Two-Bad, Twistoid or Tytus
Stonedar or Saurod
Blade or Blast-Attak
Megator or Multi=Bot
Laser He-Man or Skeletor

With guarantee of... Rotar and Gwildor. Wow.

Pop you would get most except of Sweet Bee/Spineralla and Perfuma/Peekablue. But it gest much worse once you add extra characters like Scorpia, Adora, Sea Hawk, Dylamug, Starla...And dont even try to combine Pop with vintage or other groups.
>>
If Classics continued who should be in it? It does feel like it covers almost every important character from Motu (it's hard to find Origins wishlists that dont copy characters from there.
Rest of NA cast)
Character Costest characters, old and new, including Crimson Countess
Son of He-Man Characters
Lady Slither and other fuckloads of Axel characters introduced in comics or concept art
200X giants, Tuvar, Baddrah, few other kingdom representatives
Miro, Melaktha, Darkdream, Enchantress, False Face, Admiral Scurvy. Hunga, Aramesh, Widgets. Slavemaster Coronel Blast, Kol-Darr
Illumina
Songster
Scrollos
Minox
Fuerza-T
Yeti, Witch and other concept art characters

movie versions of MAA, Teela, Sorceress, Evil-Lyn and Beast Man, Pig Boy

>>
>>11562377
Yeah what is the story with this? And basically any figure with such little stock?

Is it just a case of they stuffed up the amount the factory produced and moved on quickly to the next or something? Overproduction on something else to compensate (so 9x of one and only 1x of another instead of a more sensible split of 5x and 5x?).

It just astounds me how regular line releases sometimes just have an impossible to find figure, Regardless if it's popular or not, as plenty of popular characters can be found in abundance at other times.

It just always baffles me how this can continually occur in so many toy lines.

I am wondering this too. I wonder if its a situation where retail demand plays heavily into production quantity? So if the retailers all go 'cool it down a bit on the MotU stuff Mattel' then they reduce qty. on the next planned waves? The impact of the Naked Stratos wave will probably be felt for years to come. I still see figures from that wave in retai stores collecting dust.

I know his whole bit is being the most powerful man in the universe, but can any of the Evil Warriors/Horde/Snake fuckers actually wrestle with He-Man without getting instantly folded like a lawn chair? Minicomic Tri-Clops seemed like he could hold his own, but the other continuities seem to really downplay his strength. Seems like Beastman or Grizzlor should be strong as shit.
>>
>>11563415

He-Man has this thing where he logically should be strong no one should touch him. Like for example we see sometimes Skeletor swordfight him despite that only one duelist here can benchpress a mountain. You can see that sometimes with Thor too when he had adventures in Asgard.

I guess He-Man is holding back a lot. Pretty sure Tri-Klops and Clawful could wrest him a bit in Filmation (since no one can throw a punch)

What would be your wishlist for Origins BUT you cant pick anyone who showed up in Classics

Variants are acceptable but only if we have at least one version of character in Origins. So you can ask for vintage Catra, Slime Pit Teela and Anti-Eternia Man-At-Arms but you cant say "Revolution Goat Man" to slip him in.

Like she captures King Miro for decades and doesn’t want a ransom. The only logical conclusion is that she’s lustful and has been banging the great King all this time.

Calypso from the Odyssey.
In Miro's case, everything worked out for the monarchy without him, but it's even sadder than Odysseus' return if he actually loved the Queen.

>>
>>11563576
You want in story or meta?
Because the answer is "she's the only girl figure they made in the vintage line"
That's it.

There are a couple of "maybes" you could consider.
Ted Mayers witch of she'd been made might've been an Evil Warrior (the Lord Faker box positions her as one, but then boxes also showed Frog Monger as one and then the comic writer came up with bullshit, so I'd expect Origins witch to be some tragic backstory unaffiliated moral gray wankery if they give her a story, but I'm getting sidetracked now...)

In the Golden books Skeletor had a monster posing as Lady Irena (but we don't know that the monster itself was female because it was generically monstrous)

There's a well-known tendency in mainstream SF/fantasy to not make female characters monsters.
In MOTU, the Horde has taken most of the lion(ess)'s share with Scorpia, Octavia and Catra-sorta.
Lady Slither is sometimes just a green lady like Evil-Lyn is sometimes yellow, Shokoti is blue, Crita is purple and the unnamed concept witch is also green, but sometimes monstrous. But she's definitely not working for Skeletor.

You could bug Mattel to make Shezar (see pic for her forms).
>>
>>11563604
>Shezar

I'm not 100% sure she's an Evil Warrior (not being able to read it)
Like, was Skeletor showing up because they were working together and she expected help but got betrayed?
Or was she independent and Skeletor showed up to hijack her shit for his own purposes?
(Personally I hope it's the former because I like the idea of placing her on the team)

The Space Mutants had Felka, the Bride of Slush Head, but she was a noncombatant whose plot (a ceasefire for the Guardians to attend the wedding because Sagitar saved her life, which Skeletor plans to violate) foreshadowed that the Mutants only had reasonable grievances that a peace treaty could be made with, leaving only Skeletor and Crita irredeemable.
>>

"Shezar plans to flood Eternia to make it inhabitable by her people, and she has allied with Skeletor to manage this, but Skeletor betrays her and steals the Polarizer, a sphere that Shezar uses to project images and control sea creatures. He-Man frees the four Eternian women and eventually retrieves the Polarizer, but Shezar re-takes it."
She's the last survivor of the destroyed planet Antar. It's not clear narratively how she'd ever work for Skeletor again, but you could say the same about an Evil Warrior like Dragoon.

The lost mini comics always seemed to be good ones. It’s crazy that we’re still finding out about them today. BattleRam Blog recently discovered that one that was supposed to come with the original Faker release called Ring of Dreams. It sounded pretty neat. >>
>>11563667
So I tried this and here's what I figure, I like these axes allot so I understand why you're wondering.
The vintage axe has a narrow handle and it doesn't fit well in origins hands - or the og one either as it is now.
But the newer axe does have a thicker handle and might fit better, but it depends, here's the thing ... when the hands are new and havent had an accessory stuck there for a period of time, they can hold things tighter. Example: My thunder punch he-man has only ever had a blue vintage axe from the weapons pak in his open hand and he holds it tight enough and will also hold a basic grey vintage axe although looser. My normal origins he-man has been holding a power sword for like 4 years and he does not hold even the new axe very well... So you could try to use a "fresh" hand and see how you fair, and I'd probably recommend that for both old and new honestly

I've always been a fan of third factions and/or anti-heros, especially if they lead to the inevitable reluctant team-up trope, so I prefer the Horde, Snakemen, Evil Warriors, and Masters all disliking one another to various degrees and having conflicting, if not completely opposing, goals. Cautiously optimistic that all these characters will actually get dialogue balloons (in Sword of Flaws). Because it's old news that Freddie Williams II draws nearly every toy into crowd scenes of their faction.

I really liked how art on figures always didnt just showed Heroic Warriors fighting new heroes but in-fight between all villain factions. We really need Motu adaptations that cover that.

Dragon Blaster! He's a bit top heavy to balance on display, but it was the best play feature on a Skeletor in the 80s and it is now.
I just wish Origins Kobra Khan squirted too. Vintage KK and Dragon even had swappable heads.
>>
>>11564214
Battle Armor, probably. Both heads are good, it's a classic functional gimmick, and a solid design just as an action figure. Terror Claws is bad and has always been bad, and Dragon Blaster is whatever.

200X Skeletor is pretty good but something about the head sculpt is rough. I think it's the eyes.

The only problem with Terror Claws is the weird sports bra armor design. The gimmick is fun to play with, and the accessories are great not just for the figure itself, but for using with any other figures

I don't mind the claws themselves or the gimmick, but they don't save the terrible, terrible design. I remember a lot of dunking on Whiplash's vintage look (copied by Classics and Origins) for looking like a retarded Shrek.
>>
>>11564759
Funny thing is when I became MOTU fan I used to mostly like 200X and think that they basically 'fixed' a alot of designs, including Whiplash.

But now there is something I appreciate about his non-200X designs - they draw attention to the tail. When you look at 200X Whiplash, your first thought is not "oh look, a tail guy"

Meanwhile regular Whiplash

- has a really big long tail
- has a dark green body, with colors following the tail, drawing eyes to it
- has a crocodile tail on more human (well orc) body. The fact that it's mismatched is what makes it eye-catching.

Anyway, Multi-Bot looks stupid and is lamer than Modulok in everything except that 2 torsos makes it easier to make 2 figures from him.

>Question, do the masterverse weapons fit into the origins hands?
>>11565180
>Yes, and the Masterverse hands can even swap onto Origins, as well as most heads and armor.
Also WWE Basic/Elite/Ultimate figures have compatibility with Origins. Origins/Masterverse uses the WWE hands so you can swap those over at will. Most pre-2025 figures from the last 5-6 years can pop on with little trouble.

More recently the WWE line has been shrinking wrestler heads to save pennies on production costs, but this recent set of WWE Ultimate LA Knight parts still fit on the Origins buck. Only needed to heat up the heads with a hair dryer to make the fit perfect like a glove.

Do I need to pay something extra to buy from Despara at creations? Sharella says I need to pay 10 bucks for club greyskull but Despara doesn't have that warning. Can I buy her without joinging them? Does Mattel put some small checkmark at the end to try to scam me into it?
>>
>>11565348
Afaik the only figures that are supposed to be "members only" are He-Ro and Sharella (so far)
Everything else including Despara was supposed to just be member early access but anyone could buy after 24 hrs. So you SHOULD be able to buy Despara

I wonder if they'll ever drop the club requirement since shit doesn't sell out
Will they eventually say "everyone can buy He-Ro to get rid of them" and incur the reeeeing of Club members who paid extra to be allowed to get them? Or will they stubbornly prefer to sit on unsold units in their warehouse so as not to relent on pay walling figures?

I narrowed it down to these two. Anything I should consider before making the final decision? I heard that the battle armor one is hollow. Does this affect balance in any way?
>>
>>11565640
Idk if its hollow but it does need room for the drum to move and i dont think the torso and waist come apart like other origins figures. Id say cc if you just want a skeletor and battle armor if you plan to collect more origins figures. Neither is a bad choice but it depends on what you want from the figure.
>>
>>11565640
My two cents is that both of the BA heads are kinda lame. But I like Skeletor to be scary not goofy. CC is more neutral.

If you want the best Skeletor, 200x with the head from the Keldor 2pack is supreme.

thank you guys, I think I will get the CC version for the more Skeleton-Lich like look. I will miss the shield tho.
>both of the BA heads are kinda lame.
I do like the idea of having one smiling head and the other one frowning but some reviewers said that their heads barely look different which would be really bad.
>If you want the best Skeletor, 200x with the head from the Keldor 2pack is supreme.
Considering that google didn't show me a shop where I can buy the 2pack on the first page I'm 100% sure I'm not willing to pay whatever it costs. I do like the 200x look wise but his head is weird, that's why he isn't an option.
>>
>>11565750
It was a huge shelf warmer, you should be able to find the rise of evil 2-pack for cheap. Hell, I have a spare set I'd give you if we were neighbors.
>>
>>11565750
You can try looking for it on Facebook marketplace, right now there are several for sale close to me. It was one of the first big Origins distribution fiascos. At first no one could find it but then it was everywhere and no one wanted it.
>Scott was right, it should have been a Skeletor and Trap Jaw set with bonus heads for motufags to swap out.

And full disclosure - after thinking about it, I made my Skeletor from the Snake Armor (minus the snake armor) with the 2pack head, and accessories. I wanted Skeletor to have a closer pale blue tone to vintage than the Origins' bright ass blue.

Skeletor has an evil plan. He says "nyeh, Two Bad, Spikor, Witchy, my henchmen who have always been here from the start. Get in the Roton, we're going evilling ". And that's her first appearance and "origin"

Glimmer: new torso, head. Standard hips and legs with Catra boots, She-Ra arms.
Angella: new head, boot legs. Standard hips and legs, heel feet, She-Ra arms, Glimmer torso, April wings.
Adora: new torso, boot legs*. Standard hips and legs, heel feet, She-Ra arms. Could use an existing head.
Entrapta: new head, dress, thighs. Standard torso and hips. She-Ra arms, Frosta calves and heel feet.
Octavia: new head, tentacles. She-Ra arms, standard hips and legs, existing boots with heels. New torso needed due to tentacles?
Netossa: new head, boot legs, dress. Soft goods net/cape. Standard torso, hips, legs, She-Ra arms.
Peekablue: new head, dress, tail. Standard torso, hips, legs, She-Ra arms. Netossa boots.
Perfuma: new head, new bare shins, new slipper feet, dress. Standard torso, hips, thighs. She-Ra upper arms, Sharella forearms.
Castaspella: new head, bracers, boot legs, dress. Standard torso, hips, rest of legs, She-Ra upper arms.
Sea Hawk: new head, arms, boot legs, vest, rubber cravat. Standard torso, plain male trunks, CC male legs with plain shoe feet.
Flutterina: new head, torso, wings, skirt. Standard hips, legs. She-Ra upper arms, Angella boots with flat feet.
Sweet Bee: new head, wings, skirt, bracers. Standard hips, legs with flat feet, She-Ra upper arms. Flutterina torso.

STRETCH GOALS?
Scorpia: new head, torso, tail, forearms, hands, boots including feet. Standard hips and legs above boot cut.

grrasp grew on me more than i expected, only gripe is his arm/leg pattern looks a bit too artificial or "digital" compared to his claw and head

If you can, I recommend picking up the vehicles while they are cheap to find. The Landshark and Roton are favourites. Snout Spout and a vintage Kobra Khan for the squirting action. Go vintage for Rattlor and Mekaneck too. Origins Flying Fists and Terror Claws are good value too.

Whenever I see someone say kids don't play with toys, in the back of my mind I figure they probably gave the kids modern toys that are more about articulation than doing anything fun.

Extendar hates Hordak for turning him into an extending cyborg.

So why doesn't Mekaneck hate Duncan?

Honestly if they did just the main four outfits for He-Man ('83, NA, 200X, CGI), and the corresponding outfits for Teela and MAA along with the Dreamworks outfit for She-Ra too obviously, that would be enough. But they could do variants based on the toys, Battle Armor He-Man, Ice-Armor, Thunder Punch, etc.
>>
>>11567893
I think they did, but it's probably a simple peg joint and you can just swivel it around the right way. It's the thigh joint that has me concerned.
>>
>>11567819
>Man I hope that thing is successful even if it's not good
I also hope it's successful. I'm just trying to mentally prepare myself for how it will differ from previous incarnations, which I think is fine. The biggest comparison for me is TMNT in that the core mythos is basically the same, but each incarnation is very different in style and tone, and I think MOTU would do well to follow the same roadmap, rather than slavishly stick to the '83 cartoon lore all the time. The '87 movie was fun in that it based its lore on the mini-comics and toys, it was just the budget and Courtney Cox dead parents storyline that hurt it.
>>
>>11567725
I'd be fine fine with straight pallette swaps, so
>He-Man, He-Keldor, Slime Pit, and Anti-Eternia
>Teela, pink suit Teela, Golden book red costume Teela, green goddess
>Duncan, grey "movie inspired" again, white and gold "Man of war" inspired, serpent claw
>I honestly don't know alt color schemes for She-Ra afaik she's always dressed in white and gold so an actual pop fan can fill in the blanks here

Mattel, who made barbie, knows when to and not to do woke. They already saw how much fans hated woke he-man in revelation, and how that translates to poor toy sales for Masterverse. They know how much people love Thor ragnarok.
The movie will be good. There have been 0 red flags so far unless you want to count Leto's casting, and Teela not running around in a thong.

You think they were worried about the bare legs and used the Dreamworks series as a reference point?
>>
>>11568526
Worried that the bare legs wouldn't blend in when the figure is dressed as Despara, I think.
>>
>>11563914
If you (any anon, really) got a chance to write the next MotU comic, what would you try to fit in all these characters doing?

For me:
Modulok takes the Evil Warriors techie role Filmation/CGI Trap Jaw or 200X/Rev Tri-Klops.
Trap Jaw gets promoted when Modulok defects to the Horde.
Blast-Attak gets an origin: built by Modulok.
Spikor is a magical smith like in "The Terror Claws Strike", argues that magic items are better than technology.
Ninjor and Saurod get sent on a mission together because Skeletor needs an agile sneaky guy backed up by a warrior with breath weapon and guns, realizes Webstor and Kobra Khan are off doing their own thing.
Blade sits at a table playing solitaire because when Skeletor calls for a swordsman, Tri-Klops or Jitsu is available.
Jitsu wants to fight Fisto because I'm using the latter's Filmation backstory of once holding a forest as an evil fief from Skeletor, and breaking fealty is dishonorable.
Faker is seen struggling to build himself a cat and use magic, foreshadowing Lord Faker.
Icer kidnaps Princess Snowflake (who's been redesigned to not have dirt-brown clothes).
Goat Man's training Pig Boy is brought up with "kid" and "nanny" puns.
The spelling of Draego-Man's name gets changed to Dragoman and he translates other people's languages for Skeletor. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dragoman
Strongarm, Twistoid... uh, sorry, out of EW ideas.
>>
>>11568579
I feel like I've pitched this idea in this thread before, but if I haven't...
I've headcanoned a group I call The Junkers which can either be a subgroup of EWs or a stand alone crew
Basically the low tech cyborgs, pseudo-cyborgs and robots fashioning weapons and body parts for themselves out of scraps and more or less living in junk piles
Trap Jaw, Spikor, Blast-Attak, Minox, Strong-Arm and Stinkor.
And before anyone asks...Tri-klops isn't in because I don't see him as cybernetic, I had always seen him as having just some kind of special helmet in the vintage era. It was only after 200x explicitly made him a cyborg that the thought ever crossed my mind
Twistoid also isn't in because he seems more high tech than Blast-Attak, who looks like he'd made of a scrapped furnace boiler so doesn't fit my "junkyard" conception of this team
And Minox gets a pass despite what I just said because in this headcanon, Minox isn't a full robot like his comic had him. He looks like a living bull man, so that's what he is with some scrap tesla coil "horns" jammed into his head
>>
And Heroic Warriors:

Rotar complains to Man-At-Arms about being turned into a top. "You made Roboto's legs!" "But you can move faster than Roboto or any of us." "Hordak made Dragstor and he has legs!"
A group of heroes go on a submersible mission and Mekaneck acts as a periscope.
Whenever the Horde is around, Extendar acts like a much better warrior than Mekaneck. Whenever only the Evil Warriors are around, he slacks off due to lack of motivation.
Snout Spout also hates Hordak and fights better against the Horde.
Rio Blast wants to go home and He-Man passive-aggressively promises to help fly him there as soon as the warriors of Skeletor are defeated once and for all.
Sy-Klone and Slamurai have a dojo or such, to practice pseudo-Asian martial arts. He-Man takes one or both on missions with Orko and/or the Sorceress in her white outfit, making a Final Fantasy party.
Stonedar and Rokkon sleep outside the abyss Castle Grayskull's jawbridge crosses so any attempted break-in wakes them up (swiped from a vintage minicomic).
Clamp Champ is a braggart.
Gwildor tries to study Orko because you can't have a Theory of Everything unless it explains magic (swiped from the newspaper comic).
Kol-Darr accomplishes cool things in fight scenes, but only because he has a more useful steed than anyone except She-Ra.
Fisto, Moss Man, the Goddess, Man-E-Faces and Buzz-Off are there own subgroup of nature heroes (sometimes I have them take the similarly neglected Mekaneck and Roboto along even though they don't fit the theme: at least Roboto can bounce off Man-E's robot personality).

>>11568604
That's neat.
>>
>>11568472
But Duncan is black.
Teela is Latina.
>>
>>11568664
Why do you have Clamp Champ be a braggart?
>>
>>11568680
>Why do you have Clamp Champ be a braggart?
Maybe not necessarily bragging, but he wanted everyone to only call him Champ - presumably even before mastering clamps added the adjective. Anything that lost his Champ status would be psychologically devastating.

If I may ask a silly Lore question as we float towards the bottom of the board.

Sharella is in Preternia, comes from the same village that He-Ro was born to, and she saved him after the Black Wizard (not Skeletor person) destroyed their village a few years ago. He-Ro meets the Green Goddess in his own comic and I think learned about Grayskull. The back of Creations Wun-dar card has Sharella teamed with Wun-dar fighting the glow in the dark Skeleton 2-pack warriors. So how does Wun-dar fit in if He-Ro is basically the champion of Grayskull in Preternia era?
>>
>>11568733
I think you're misremembering because I just looked up He-Ro 's comic and it has no Goddess, just Eldor and Moss Man

And the answer is "convoluted Scott bullshit lore" is apparently still on the menu
>He-Ro is the Preternian hero of Grayskull with Eldor and Sharella
>Sharella herself becomes Green Goddess eventually due to a blood transfusion from Moss Man (from Classics bios, but we see Sharella become Goddess in Wun-Dar comic so it must still be the official canon)
>Sharella as Goddess is now immortal so she recruit Wun-Dar as the new champion in his own time (long after He-Ro and Preternia) because we're going with a lineage of champions through the ages
>>
>>11568751
"A dark evil has returned. I have been searching for one worthy of the power to wield these ancient weapons and stop the evil."
>holds up the head of the Havoc Staff
I wish this minicomic had clarified whether there's a Havoc Staff user ~100 years before Skeletor she's been concerned about and she's conjuring an image to go with her statement, or what.
Because her offering Wun-Dar the Havoc Staff to wield would imply she's secretly not a good guy - as suggested here. >>11564528
>>
>>11568751
Vikor is also a champion at some point.
Iirc, it goes King Grayskull > He-Ro > Vikor > Wun-Dar > He-Man
Classicsfags also have Oo-Lar to slot in somewhere to, but I personally refuse to acknowledge Oo-Lar as a separate entity from He-Man. There is no "Oo-Lar", only minicomic He-Man. If you're gonna call minicomic He-Man a separate character because "muh Prince Adam" you might as well call Alcala Skeletor that came from the Skeletor dimension a separate character because "muh Keldor" and him something retarded like Skull-Lar or some stupid shit...but I'm ranting now

>Sharella herself becomes Green Goddess eventually due to a blood transfusion from Moss Man
That's the most retarded thing I've ever heard.

>I'm going to pin you to the ground until you tell me something that's not retarded.

Snakemen were genetically engineered by an ancient Trollan using DNA from Lizard Man's race and Saurod's race
And He-Ro only arrived on Eternia after Horde Prime infected him with a memory erasing techno-virus and banished him there, spreading the virus and creating the biomechanical dinosaurs
>>
>>11568763
>Vikor is also a champion at some point.
Having found his box recently we need an Origins version because I don't think anyone matched that skin color to simply convert him to Origins from MV
>>
Technically, adding the bit about being a robot in the last panel is kinda pointless because if you're dousing him with water, his electric horns would shock him and he'd be incapacitated anyway
>>
>>11568795
Considering Vikor is basically bootleg Conan, that would be cool.

In addition to what >>11568676 pointed out,
Roboto is played by one of the 2016 ghostbusters actresses and the entire thing is set on earth AGAIN. There's also evidence of Adam having brown burger king kids club friends. Nothing about the movie is shaping up to look or sound remotely positive. Even the Ragnarok influence is a red flag for me.

>write the next MotU comic
As much as I didn't like netflix He-Man, the general story idea of He-Man and Skeletor gone and the resulting power vacuum is really fertile ground.

Without Skeletor leading them on his strange pursuits to enter Grayskull, the Evil Warriors become more like marauding criminals. Venturing into the light side of Eternia to steal your villages crops, try to steal weapons and tech from royal outposts, waiting for opportunities to ambush lone heroes out on missions. Skeletor gave them a purpose and had the power to make them all cooperate.

Trap Jaw and Tri-Kolps would step up to try and keep to keep the whole Snake Mountain thing gang going and "waiting for the boss to get back." Maybe because I think they look mean, but as the leaders of the Evil Warriors both of them become more cruel and petty. Tri-Kolps won't try to summon a demon to help take over Eternia but he will poison the village's well if they don't deliver their tribute. Trap Jaw would go stalk Man-at-Arms and Melaktha as they explore ruins just to kill them not as part of a bigger plan.
Without Skeletor's presence clouding his mind and soul, Mer-Man no longer feels any ill will towards He-Man and Eternos society. He swims away into the ocean. At times he cooperates with the Heroic Masters but never can be quite trusted.
Beast Man is very similar; no Skeletor to goad him into fighting he feels no loyalties to the others and leaves for the Vine Jungle to return to his people. Is he going to be accepted as their leader again or their be challengers from younger, feral members of his tribe?
Scare Glow is freed but lacks a purpose. He drifts around Eternia and sightings are considered bad omens for travelers.
Jitsu leaves as well. He was basically a mercenary and without Skeletor his contract his void.
Stinkor isn't truly a bad guy and was only ever an EW because no other society would have him. After some half-hearted raiding, he to deserts in the night.
