Just look at the last one where the figures were in such high demand that if you sold them, then they paid for the Rattler itself which you essentially got for free. There isn't a lot they could do with Thunder Machine for gimmicks beyond light-up headlights and maybe a light-up dashboard. So it definitely could be something Hasbro can sell at a lower price. The only real catch is they better have awesome motivators with the tiers because those matter. As a tier-3 unlock Baroness easily helped sell the Rattler. But with the Snowcat there was a bit of struggle because cartoon-likeness Lady Jaye and Flint weren't as motivating.

The only other Dukes that have been released in the line are the one waaaaay back in the first wave, the slight recolor of that same one, and the Tiger Force one released with a motorcycle. Those three all share the same headsculpt, but they have slightly different paint jobs.

During that era, they brought back a lot of Joes for new versions (Snake Eyes, Duke, Rock n Roll, Stalker, Hawk, Cobra Commander, Destro) but I guess they didn't want to go full-blown "remake" of every early character.
