>>11576638I have well-loved bins of legos from the 90s and early 2000s from when I was a kid. A very large portion of the minifigs have hairline cracks on the arms. Some have faint cracks on the torso sides and back of the feet as well. I think this is just a fact of life with a physical plastic product like legos. Yeah if you kept them all vacuum sealed in UV-protected bags and never let a fig be placed on any studs or have anything attached to the hands, I guess you might be able to keep them pristine forever. But in doing so, you sacrifice the entire reason why you liked having those minifigs in the first place. If you can't play with or pose your figs like you want, then what's even the point? It'd be like those guys who buy old video games just to entomb them in permanent plastic slabs. I still bust out those old figs and pose them in modern MOCs I've made. Do a lot of them have cracks? Yeah, but who cares? worst case scenario, the rotation of the hand or arm might be a little less stiff than normal, or the legs might not clutch to studs as well. But they're still perfectly good figs, and you can't even tell there are cracks visually unless you're specifically looking for them.
