If you'd like this Suicide Squad Harley set, which is currently 58% funded: https://mcfarlanetoysstore.com/drawing-board/
>>11576451This Revo Nightwing?
>>11576458Yep, sorry. I was too lazy to look it up. Plus I'm trying to eat to make a movie in two hours with some pals.
>>11576450unironically looks like a good Wonder Woman
>>11576450Its crazy knowing people will pay $80 for a Wonder Woman figure of Todd quality.
'66 Batmobile a-comin'
>>11576471
>>11576450I'm probably going to get the Titano/Flash, I saw Todd had it on sale but I'd rather use my Game Stop pro discount and grab it from them, since the shipping would be fucking free and when all is said it down, it will be the same cost.I hear the articulation sucks on the mega figs - what barely there articulation there is.>>11576470yeah but you are also getting for the 'zilla
>>11576453I assume shipping is the usual McFarlane ridiculous rates though which makes it not worth it. I'd buy the $35 tier but not for $45+
>>11576471>>11576473Looks pretty accurate from what I recall but they never made a Batman 66 Robin in 7" scale, only Adam West Batman
>>11576474There's no reason to get it for the Godzilla, Hiya sells Godzillas for $50 that are much better articulated. Todd's is basically a giant lump of plastic with single digit POA
Pre-Orders for these on 9-30
>>11576488
>>11576450I got the batman kong 2 pack when it was $40 on bbts. I mostly want the ape. Batman is just gravy.
>>11576478there's more to toys than articulation. big godzilla is better than small godzilla
>>11576458this looks like garbage. Not anime style, not realistic game style, not comic. Who wants this?
The face print seems especially dotty here
>>11576511No it really isn't as you have to store it somewhere. The mentality of bigger is better is foolish.
>>11576488The right body mold but a meh headsculpt and seemingly no wired cape.
>>11576453>five faces in total>none of them look like Margot RobbieAlso those fabric fishnets are a bad idea
>>11576574Not everyone lives in a tiny studio apartment. Not him, but I have an entire room dedicated to my toys, gaming, art and other hobbies. And no, I don't keep toys stream all over my house, it's limited to just the one room and a shelf or two in my bedroom for space ship models.
What is the "correct" DC gen, this or the other one?Do we really need to go through this every fucking time?
>>11576453Instead of wasting money on that, buy this
>>11576616Then you don't have enough room for a garbage mcfarlane Godzilla. You'll sell it just like anyone else.
>>11576617The one with updated release dates, and not using AI slop as the OP.
>>11576008If a Man be Made of Clay
>>11576620I have plenty of space in my office for it. Stop projecting your poorfag onto the whole thread.
>>11576625It's not worth the space it takes up though as it's a poor figure. Reviews have already shown that. People who want good Godzilla figures go to Hiya or even SHMA if preferred.
>>11576627Ok whatever, but that wasn't your original argument.
>>11576679>Jarett cant read
So when is Mister Miracle dropping? Will he just start appearing randomly in stores or will there be an announcement?
>>11576680Your original argument was that bigger isn't better because you need to have a place to store the figure, now you're pivoting to saying that it's just a poor figure. I can read just fine. Stop projecting your poorness on to the rest of the thread please.
>>11576691Shut the fuck up and go back to your failed thread, Jarett.
>>11576695I'm not Jarret. But you still argue like dog doo doo
>>11576691Both are true though. Bigger isn't better when it comes to figures, and that Godzilla is a poor figure. Hiya makes better, smaller Godzillas that are more worth their cost in money and space.
>>11576704He doesn't know anything. He's just ragebaiting for (You)s.
>>11576704Bigger can be better, not necessarily, but for something like Godzilla, I want a bigger representation that can stand at least a bit taller than the rest of my collection. And yeah, I'm sure Hiya makes a better figure, but if I were to opt for a smaller version of Godzilla, I'd just get one of the SH Monsterarts and call it a day. I was just merely pointing out that not everyone is constrained for space like the guy originally implied.
>>11576478Right>>11576511I like a good figure, not a big turd
>>11576617...The one with actual DC toy discussion? You have to ask?
>>11576712Everyone is constrained by space, the question is simply whether they are out of space or are not yet out of space. But there is no one with a bag of holding who can hold infinite toys. One day, everyone will reach space capacity assuming they keep collecting.
>>11576740If you insist. I still have all the stuff I want displayed, plus room for expansion.
>>11576734Yes, hence my question
>>11576478I've no interest in a Godzilla. I am interested, as I typed, in a Titano. I'd rather have a supes with the Titano but since the last McFart Barry I bought is the unmasked one, which is actually still sitting somewhere in my closet, unopened, I figured what the hey.
>>11576617shut it, jarrett
>>11576683Fuck all if i know. I checked last week, ill check this week and if i find one i will tell you. Ive checked the site on a regular basis in case its slipped out but scott and wes are gonna make me go out of my way to check the only target near me like a dog chasing its tail.
>>11576488>Pre-Orders>>11576576>meh headsculpt
>>11576683>>11576835TNI announced it at the end of June. For all we know he could've already gone to all the Targets that ordered him and be done by now...but I don't see a record of them on McFarlane's site so maybe there is still a chance.
>>11576835>>11576848Mcfarlane said they'd be in stores for October but this literally means nothing since Mcfarlane's distribution is dogshit and figure are just dumped without notice randomly
>>11576848>he could've already gone to all the Targets that ordered himthey were actually getting crap that should already have been on the shelves (and sold or gone) in AFTER the Superman movie stuff released and was on the shelves. One of my locals got the Many Lives of Superman one circa August but only got the one, so it may have been say a return that actually went to the warehouse and then got shipped back out or something truly stupid like that. But they also got a few other things like the Page Puncher Super Boys and Wonder Womans in quantities.
>>11576557>Who wants this?REVO fans
>>11576848>>11576974If i dont find them it wont be for a lack of effort, but theres not much info online outside of the oct release date and a few hundred dollar listings. I know store exclusives arent going away but this shit sucks, atleast with hasbro you have a chance of running across what youre looking for. So get up early on wed morning, we are going to target.
So will we get a drunk Kara with roots, wired trench coat and bottle of Kandorian Whiskey accessory from Mattel next summer?
>>11576827Kek do you even has a pic of these guys, Jarret, Jin, Athena, etc.? It's weird to be called so many names but I don't even know who are all those people
>imaginext fag and Jarret are the same person
>>11576974How much of this is mcfarlane "bad distribution " and just the stores not caring and dumping stuff on the shelves?
>>11577189Why not just refuse to play McFarlane's games and run all over the place in the hope you're going to find a figure? That's what I and many others have done.
>>11577256This. Mcfarlane toys and Todd can get fucked.
What do you guys think of the LPZZ Deathstroke? I'm not really a DC fan and don't own any DC figures but I always thought Deathstroke was badass and was thinking of getting this because it seems pretty nice.
>>11577263I don't really like that design for DS but have heard good things about LPZZ, just have not wanted any of the looks they have put out yet to try them. I would try to read some stories about DS before just going out and buying a figure of him though so you can assure you have some connection to the character and it doesn't just become a cool looking lump of plastic in your collection, as those can often be the first to get sold years later when the luster has worn off.
>>11576488>>11576489McFar-lane, you've gotta stop him before he raises the prices a-gain.
>>11577263I am so very curious how this will feel in my ass.
>>11577263I'm in the same boat as >>11577267. I'm not necessarily a fan of that particular iteration of the character, but LPZZ is apparently pretty damn good from the reviews I've seen of their Dark Knight Batman. I'll give them a try when they come out with a costume I'm more into. I would've gotten their BatBale but I already have and am perfectly happy with the SHF so I didn't need an upgrade.
>>11577251Store's care. The employee care when people come up to guest services and make them dig in the back or on the shelves for product that their own website says is on the shelves but cannot be found. Some employees don't care, they don't get paid enough to care.>>11577263>>11577277Not a fan of the character and not interested in buying this one either, but I would be curious on the prices and the quality if anyone else bought this or something else by the same company.
>>11577267>I would try to read some stories about DS before just going out and buying a figure of him though so you can assure you have some connection to the characterThat is good advice and I do usually only get characters I have some connection to. While I'm not really into DC now, I guess I had DC phases as a kid. I was kind of obsessed with Deathstroke for a bit after playing Arkham Origins and watching Arrow so I did read up on some of his lore back then. I don't really like any of his other looks so to me this is like the best DS figure to date, at least based on the pictures.
>>11577269You're doing it wrong if you don't already know this, sister,
Go to the store and get stocked up with supplies. Have a fun weekend.
>>11577388Already am stocked up. Could always use more ammo though but my current stocks are anything but bad.
>>11576627but i want big godzilla
>>11577426Then you should get the 12" Titan Heroes Godzillas
>>11577388What are you implying will happen? I mean, i already know, but my buddy over here is quite dismissive of the potential events that are set to transpire.
>>11577459nothing ever happens
>James Gunn says, “I’m probably not going to do certain movies with characters who [audiences] don’t know; it’s harder to get people in the theater for that kind of thing”https://x.com/DiscussingFilm/status/1972039841094230097Bad news for people who want figures of characters other than Batman, Superman, Supergirl and other A listers. DCU is going to shift focus to major characters only, because if Superman can barely break even, they know Booster Gold or Swamp Thing won't.
>>11576488>>11576489Debating on if I want to pre-order them or not tomorrow. I don't need mullet Superman or this Joker when Silver age is slightly more up my alley... but I just know this Joker will be impossible to get it down the line I decide I want him and I will regret it like passing on Page Punchers Shazam. I guess I could use Superman for my JLA display.I was really hoping to stop buying Mcfarlanes when I got Mister Miracle and completed my JLI display but it's honestly not looking too good at this point for Mister Miracle unless I buy one for $90.
>>11577526I don’t care. DC to me is btas, stas, jl, jlu, bb, TT, smallville, Batman brave and the bold, all the movies from Batman v Superman back to fleischer superman with supplemental material from the comics mainly 1986-2003Gunns dc is trash and he can suck a dick. Pedo fuck.
>>11577589Movies do increase comic figures associated with those movies though. Blue Beetle got comic versions to build up to his movie before he got his movie figure. Mr. Terrific and Guy Gardner got figures to build up to the Superman movie, while Todd had been very cagey about making a comic Guy until we heard he was in the Superman movie (most likely because he would require new tooling while more Hals and Kyles would not).So don't think this won't affect Mattel's comic output to some extent.
>>11577501Yeah i figured. I mean stuff does happen, like it did yesterday but we dont mention it. >>11577582I have to get this joker. Im joker less and i really like the head on this one. So at 10:58 im walking away from my job and i shant return until i got an order confirmation.
>>11577594I’m sure it will I just don’t care. I can live with getting mainstream characters that are guaranteed like the core league and adjacent characters like Lois and Alfred. I don’t need retarded shit like ambush bug or bat signal.
>>11577597>I have to get this joker. Im joker less and i really like the head on this one.I don't own a joker either, i was waiting to find Silver Age for less than $35 but it doesn't seem like it's gonna go down again. I guess I will try to get this Joker too since it's the cheaper option. My only issue is the hat but I could probably find a loose silver age joker head if I snoop around eBay long enough.
>>11577597what time do fig get put up for preorder again?
>>1157760512pm est but I’d start keeping your ear to the ground around 10
>>11577613It's hilarious how people have to press a defcon switch to try to get those McFarlane preorders ordered.
>>11577616Yup and the figures are trash
>>11577613So 9am for me, gee thanks I almost thought they went up at 10am and I would have for sure missed out on them.>>11577616Yes it's fucking ridiculous but it is what it is.
I don't see the desirability of the Superman offering so I assume most are going for the Joker? But he has a pretty bad cloth coat
>>11577526...and? No shit you're supposed to buy all of the big guns again in a new scale/style. It doesn't matter what that dipshit says anyways, he always walks it back or changes his mind. Gunn's DC is dead within 10 years.
>>11577648In 10 years I won't be collecting action figures anymore. Maybe sooner depending on Mattel's scale.
>>11577655And now Jews mad
>>11577660I don't see how he can tariff a movie, as it is not imported, it is assembled in the US from footage made elsewhere, but it has no price when brought from outside to inside, in fact it may be transferred digitally for all we know. Does he mean he will add a tax to the tickets?
>>11577599>guaranteed adjacent characters >Loisnigger there’s like 200 DC Universe Classics, 200 McFarlane DC, a recent movie where she finally had something to do and was fun to watch, and no Lois figure.
>>11577671Lois figures are needed. She is key. She would sell well online. Do not put her in stores.
>>11577673she’s very clearly not needed
>>11577685You’re very clearly gay
>>11577667It’s like he genuinely doesn’t know or understand streaming
>>11577388Just got some soft armor inserts for the side armor on my plate carrier. Gives pretty decent coverage. Now that I've got that I'm pretty much good to go.
>>11577388>posts /DC/ general >thinks it’s /Dc/ general
>>11577601I never ran across the silver age version and after seeing some prices i just kinda quit looking online. I like this joker, he is scary af instead of some crack pot edgelord. Edgy joker csn work just fine but i think its gone too far for my interests. If i dont get this joker maybe ill just buy a vintage superpowers or kenner batman version.
>>11577707Its almost like he could be a senile old man wearing a tin foil hat to catch tv waves in order to heat up left over burgers while he yells at the sprinkler. The type of neighbor you know records your house and driveway with a vhs camcorder, the type of guy you tell the kids to not make too much noise around when he goes outside. I wish todd were american, hed be great with tariffs and movies.
>>11577772Nah
I
>>11577526This just means there won't be a Plastic Man movie, or for example, there wouldn't have been a Jaime Blue Beetle movie. It doesn't mean he won't do a JLI movie with, for example, Guy, Metamorpho, Mr. Terrific, Blue Beetle (Ted), Booster, Fire and Ice (or Hawkgirl and another female I'm too tired to think of at the top of my head) but that will also include Batman or Wonder Woman or Superman in some team-ups. >shift focus to major characters onlyNah, he'll still do shit like make a Peacemaker series when there's only TWO fucking TV series so far (three if you consider animation an equivalent series). You're getting a Clayface movie, partially because it's cheap. So if someone pitched another similar highly inexpensive thing, it likely would fly. I also wouldn't rule out team up movies - except it won't be Guy and Mr. Terrific, but Guy and five other characters plus a significant cameo from Diana, Barry, Arthur, Hal, Clark, Bruce, or some other reasonably interpreted Heavy Hitter.
>>11577765>like he could be a senile old man
>>11577836>getting axedAnd that's exactly why I wrote: Gunn "will still do shit" and then followed that with "LIKE MAKE" and not with "many more seasons" or "a third and fourth and fifth season" or "even more Peacemaker"tl;dr Gunn will shit out another series LIKE Peacemaker, featuring some other D-List rando character
>>11577857He’s getting every he can out before his contract is up and paramount or whoever buys wb up
>>11577673>Lois figures are needed. She is key.I agree she's needed and she would sell well on-line, unlike say the MJ figure that Hasbro did for the Holland movie (which partially failed because it was a horrible dressed and looking figure, similarly to the Zoe figure of Selina from the Batpatinson movie). The Sasha Calle figure sold out, notwithstanding that two of the three Ezra figures peg warmed and you can still find them on sale where they are in stock like BBTS and Crapazom, Even the Melissa/Supergirl figure that Mattel did sold out. But even as a Superman fan, and someone who owns the Bombshell Lois statue, I would never say Lois "is key.">>11577685>clearly not neededwrongI wouldn't necessarily want a movie version but a classic, vanilla figure would be great, just like they should have done a classic suited Henry as Clark Kent (even if he was barely Clark and was barely in Friday Casual clothes as Clark Kent). I mean, Todd released a fucking Alfred figure.
>>11577601>>11577597Crapazom and even toywhiz have it for under $40 ATM
>>11577251The way most distribution works is: china ships toys to east/west coast docks in shipping containers. The shipping containers then get offloaded into temporary warehouses (usually third party logistics) to sort things out and/or shipped directly to distribution centers (Walmart, Target, Amazon, etc have their own distribution centers). In the temporary warehouse, things get sorted and then shipped out to distributors/retailers. These temp warehouses don't want to hold shit for longer than a week, btw.Almost no toy company has their own warehouses or distributors. Toy companies may have their own stores, so their own toys are shipped to them from the docks. They also get cases shipped to their headquarters, which is by no means a warehouse and whatever stock they get is usually equal to what a medium toy store gets (dozens of figures). So basically, McFarlane Toys has almost no control over how fast or slow something gets to your stores, especially with Walmarts/Targets/Amazons, because these stores almost always get their products shipped directly from the docks to their own distribution centers.Walmart/Targets are also the first to get their shipments too.
>>11578326This figure could've been so much better if the suit wasn't so washed out looking. I picked it up cause I like the head, but it really is kind of...sun faded feeling.
>>11578343Mostly cause of money and priority sway
>>11578326Wow under $40 for a $20 quality action figure? What a deal!
>>11578343Walmart/target definitely don't always get marvel Legends before Amazon as i get mine before I ever see or hear about nonfan channel waves going to stores actually appearing there
Do not be tempted by wireless Supes
Fuck yeah, got my order in.forgot you get a nice discount if you buy a bundle and use a coupon code so that's pretty cool. ships in october apparently.
>>11578601
$30 for a reused Superman buck with a new head sculpt and a shiny cape with no wire. Spectacular.
>>11578616Don't worry they just sold out, but you can still buy them on eBay for $60 each! Joker will probably be a $100 fig by next year and both mullet Superman figs are now incredibly expensive.
>>11578616You new to action figures?
>>11578619He's new to NuMcfarlane whereas McFarlane used to actually make new sculpts, but that time is over.
why is everyone here so miserable? nobody talks about figures anymore, it's just snyderpajeets bitching about Gunn or people bitching about the figs you weren't going to buy anywaysi get most of you here have been priced out but why even continue coming here if all you do is be a sour pussy? yeah there's like 100 problems with mcfarlanes right now but crying isn't going to fix anything, shit the line is at it's fucking end.
>>11578631>you weren't going to buy anywaysI was going to buy Superman but the changed the cape material and neglected to add a wire. This was the version I was waiting for.
>>11578679Just put pipe cleaners in the openings at the ends of the cape, that's what I did to my No Man's Land Batman and it basically fixed the figure
>>11578685It’s a $30 figure having to fix it in any way shape or form is asinine
>>11578703Okay then don't buy it.
>>11578706I won’t Todd. Going to buy some dragon ball figures instead
>>11578711NTA but you don't need to announce you're not going to buy it like some overly dramatic teenage girl.
>>11578716I’m not going to buy it twice as hard now faggot.
>>11578720You literally can't. Trying to stick it to some random person on 4chan by not buying a toy isn't the own you seem to think it is. I don't even collect McFarts, I'm just pointing out you're being a dweeb.
>>11578738>>11578744Damn didn't notice he didn't have white gloves until now and now I can't unsee itThen again, purple gloves are completely accurate to the source material.
>>11578769Yeah but I’m going to swap the digital jokers hand and head on.
I feel an almost sexual desire for this figure, I gotta say.
Will the new joker fig's shipment be completely stolen too?
Like the returns wave I parked a preorder for everything and I’m going to cancel these too. Can’t justify the price. If anyone wants to camp Amazon if you missed joker and Superman anywhere else I’m canceling in exactly 10 minutes
>>11578415>>11578457Only because as of recently, Bezos has his own pallet place at the docks that get shit for Crapazom and it goes from there to his warehouse points. And since they have multiple warehouse points in the country, it feels like it gets to people faster. >>11578616>with a fugly new mullet head sculpteasy passI bought the Fleischer and New 52, I don't need to pay more than I did just to end up with a buck that I would simply want/need to replace the head on. I have plenty of greasy badly painted mcfarts as it stands.
>Todd makes yet another female a red platinum
>>11578631Im miserable but i dont bring it here. And i agree that we all know what to expect from this figures by now. I dont really feel a need to talk about a new figure since i assume that those interested already have their own opinions. I talked about the lithograph mtr bones came with when i got him. Maybe things will pick up again soon, deathstroke is out and several more figures should be coming soon.if the delivery dates are reliable.>>11578808Lol. Never heard anything else about that heist.
>>11578631To be honest, it's almost not even worth posting your toys in this thread. Too many people are mean spirited and autistic to actually talk about the figures. They'd rather obsess about your background and accuse you of being every boogieman on the board or whine about your posing or steal your pics and repost them. It's just weird honestly. I understand that a lot of people are priced out of toy collecting now and that sucks but you should really just enjoy what you have then and try to make the best of that. You don't need to be constantly buying new shit. But it is what it is. Please stop taking it out on the rest of us please. Thanks.
>>11578631The classic look eaters got what they wanted. They ruined a cool, unique line and made it only for themselves, a small audience that can't support a line outside of electronics and also requires whales to shoulder price increases to keep the line afloat. >>11578859>steal your pics and repost themThis happens with such frequency that it's honestly unnerving.
>>11579078Helmets have to be huge to contain a normal sized head, so its perfectly normal that his helmet is large.
>>11579119You think I don't know that, dumbass? But paired with it's crappy proportions, is going to look very dumb. They're comic characters, not real people. You can forgo a little realism to make it look good.
>>11579085Nobody steals my pics :>(
>>11578457>Walmart/target definitely don't always get marvel Legends before Amazon as i get mine before I ever see or hear about nonfan channel waves going to stores actually appearing thereWalmart and Target their their stuff shipped first because they need to travel further and they order the most stock. So you may not see them there first, because they need to get to local distribution centers and THEN get sent out to retail stores... who may or may not get the newest figures, depending on how well the previous waves sold. Whereas Amazon has fewer distribution centers/warehouses, so there's less travel time AND shit gets shipped out directly from their warehouses, instead of a 4,000-10,000 retail stores. So of course Amazon will have theirs available to ship/sell before Walmart/Target.
>>11579208prolly suck butts.
>>11578859What you said reminded me of neoGAF back in the early 00s, when they had a thread showing off their video game collections. Someone in that thread found out that there was another forum reposting their images, doubting that anyone could have collections of more than 20 video games and that everyone the collection thread was putting their own collections together with other posters to make it look like they had big video game collections.Turns out that forum was made up of Chinese nationals mostly living abroad (mostly Austrailia), working as cooks/gardeners/farmhands, and sending money back home to China. Third worlders have no idea how big the world is and how difficult it would be for posters to come together to even do that. And despite ilving in a western country, they had no clue how much shit westerns can actually afford.... but i guess new zealand and austrailian are poor examples of western countries.>You don't need to be constantly buying new shitMan, back in my day, the people who got priced out made it publically known. They made big deals about how $15 was WAY TOO MUCH for a MArvel Legend or how shitty Mezco is for raising the price $15 for their One:12. Bitch bitch bitch and how they'll never buy their toys again, which are now suddenly the worst things ever.IT makes me believe that most of the haters in this thread never bought a single DC figure, because most of the hate already existed before 2025.
>>11579208Because you're annoying Jarret.
Something tells me Mattel and DC will allow Todd to continue to make DC statues. And he will become the Marvel and DC statue man. Just like he always wanted. No articulation anymore, he wants POA to turn to...0.
>>11579281Who are you talking to?
>>11578631Too many retarded schizos camping here instantly replying to every post with insane garbage or throwing tantrums. They (most likely just one person) smother the general and drive everyone else away, then bitch when no one posts their toys, then screech when someone does post their toys. Another DC General classic is when some schizo talk to himself all afternoon about someone else's Wonder Woman pose, spams a Marvel character, then starts publicly shitting his pants when people call him an autistic queer.Everyone here is niggers.
>>11577049Ehhh even Revofags are tepid about the dumbass head sculpt
>>11576458>>11576557>>11579405custom head sculptors and painters love this figure
Anyone here has Inart stuff? I'm tempted to get this base body to make a Superman custom, but I'm not sure if the quality will be good.
>>11579431I feel like painting all the joints would be a nightmarehe's so chuffty I don't know who I'd have him as on my desk if I got him. Maybe get a dark skinned one and put the Mike Colter Luke Cage head on it.
>>11579337>Another DC General classic is when some schizo talk to himself all afternoon about someone else's Wonder Woman pose, spams a Marvel character, then starts publicly shitting his pants when people call him an autistic queerThis one guy has really buck broken you hasn't he?
>>11579449I was planning on giving him a suit cause yeah I suck at paiting, but the Luke Cage head is a good idea.
>>11579488Funny thing is when I post my figures just on my desk or something, he never complains, only when I use my street diorama.

>>11579692>>11579686Are these in the holy scale or the 2big scale? If I recall though LPZZ is the one releasing $50 6in figures, and Inart is too expensive unless you Really want the character at over $100

>>11579692
>>11579740
That’s all folks
>>11579732Not really. In terms of design and engineering everything is done in AutoCAD. Designing the engineering on a slightly smaller figure is no different than for a 7in fig.
>>11579736Why is Steel so weird looking? If that's even Steel and not some weird mech suit for Superman
>>11579757It was a joke pointing out how shit mcfarlane figures are you sperg.
>>11579761They look to be doing some original designs.
>>11579763You didn't convey it very well.
InArt is doing some wild shit. Got damn.
>>11579757If you look at McFarlane's 5in Walking Dead figures or his earlier, now defunct Disney line, or his rare 6in output, you will notice McFarlane actually can't do the same engineering at 5-6in as they do at 7in. It's much worse, almost archaic. Then again McFarlane may be using a version of AutoCAD from 2012 for all we know.
>>11579772Those are design choices, not limitations. Why he makes those choices is up to anyone's guess. Personally, I think he does it just to spite us.
>2025, InArt does wonky Death Metal designsDC gen reaction: "Wow, Inart is doing some wild shit!">2021, McFarlane Toys does wonky Death Metal designsDC gen reaction: "CRUCIFY HIM! WE WANT CLASSIC LOOKS! NOT THIS DEATH METAL GARBAGE!"What happened?
>>11579777>One comment is the consensus of the whole threadWhy are you all so fucking stupid? Inb4>Hurr in was just pretending to be retarded
>>11579706Then they're too expensive
>>11579789I see no one bashing them as Death Metal garbage like they did for McFarlane Toys' Death Metal offerings back in 2021
>>11579804That's because there are only two Death Metal figures mixed in with a bunch of stuff from other DC lines. I ask again, why are you fucking stupid? This isn't rocker science.
>>11579777Inart is doing some wild shit tho. They look like 1 12 hot toys that you can actually play with.
>>11579808Wrong, 4, and a lot of other stuff like the giant mech suit and the Absolute Batman that has the same non-classic air to it. And movie stuff which Todd also did.
>>11579808It’s punk rocker science
>>11579686Rooted hair
>>11579815Oh God 4 out of more than a dozen figures. Oh gawd, it's the whole fucking line! Also, nobody's bitching about Absolute because that's apparently popular right now. Death Metal was lauded before it even released, and was never popular.
>>11579684What are these designs? But also this is the kind of hair AY Nightwing should have had. Just a bit of texture would have gone a long way.
>>11579822You might want to look up the definition of lauded unless you're implying a conspiracy by comic journos to push it.>Absolute because that's apparently popular right now.>Death Metal was lauded before it even released, and was never popular.Do you have the sales numbers for the first issue of Dark Nights: Death Metal to compare? >>11579833>Well that ruins it, it'll be subject to horrible interactions with dust and wear and tear.the inart looks better anyway
Is LPZZ showing anything DC off at that event or not yet revealed?
>>11579837Lpzz is now upf
>>11579841Traded one weird name for another I guess
>>11579833>You might want to look up the definition of lauded unless you're implying a conspiracy by comic journos to push it.Who cares what journalists of any variety think? The actual people who read the comics hated it. I remember, I was there for it. >Do you have the sales numbers for the first issue of Dark Nights: Death Metal to compare? Nowhere I see doesI don't need sales numbers to show that the vast majority of the fandom was sick and tired of the Perpetua shit that had been stewing for 2+ years at that point, and then retreding Metal which just took place didn't help things. Also, everyone was sick to death of the Batman Who Keks. He was massively overexposed at that point. But because you're such a contenious little faggot here. According to CBR Dark Knights Death Metal #1 sold 260,000 copies in it's first month.
>>11579833>>11579849Meanwhile, Absolute Batman #1 sold nearly twice that in the same amount of time. So, eat shit you faggot bitch.
>>11579849>>11579850You only showed the sales on Dark Nights: Metal 1. Not Dark Nights: Death Metal 1. Different designs. The McFarlane designs that were lambasted were Dark Nights: Death Metal designs.
>>11579851Misred the title, give me a second to pull it up.
>>11579851Hmmm.... Interesting that DC has never published the sales numbers for that one particular book, yet for the first Metal series and Absolute Batman, the sales numbers are like the first result in Google. Did it really sell that badly lmao?
>>11579854I anticipate Death Metal will be equal to Metal or worse, but best to have the accurate numbers to compare to Absolute.
>>11579858Interestingly enough, DC never published the final sales numbers for that book. I don't know why, especially when they're bragging about how many issues of Absolute Batman sold. Death Metal must've sold like trash. But your assesment is sound, Death Metal, at best, will have equal sales to Metal, but it's more than likely that it's far worse. Like I said, the readership was pretty much done with Perpetua, the Batman Who Keks, and everything else related to that story. Actually, it'd be a more fair comparison to compare the original Metal's sales to Absolute Batman. The characters in question appeared in that original book, and it wasn't nearly as hated as Death Metal was, so anon probably actually meant Dark Knights Metal with his original statement here >>11579777.Regardless, I think it's pretty clear that the readership is more interested in Absolute Batman than Metal, by a fairly wide margin. This isn't even accounting for the higher price of comics now compared to 2021 and the overall worse economic state of the population which would result in lower comic sales.
Lmao,he sure shut the fuck up didn't he? This is why you need to shame the Stupids and make them feel bad.
>>11579874You’re such a faggot
>>11579881I accept your concession.
>>11579874I didn't say DM would have higher sales than Absolute, I just wanted the real numbers to compare and see if both were popular and how much more popular Absolute was, but apparently there are none.
>>11579678>>11579720Would still get the supes at least, especially if it's in stores and not an annoying thing to have to find. >>11579431I agree painting would be a choreYou should buy some cheap plastic shit to practice if you intend to really get into customization. I know people who actually find it relaxing and enjoyable.
>>11579901
>>11579896Your argument could also be stated about the original Metal, since the characters in question appeared in that too. Those sales numbers are published, and even with it not being outright despised like it's sequel, it still sold nearly half of what Absolute sold. You can infer from that Death Metal's sales being at best, equal to Metal, but more likely lower. Regardless, the whole crux of the original argument was wondering why DC General isn't complaining about the line having four out of almost two dozen figures, being Metal figures and somehow the goalposts got moved to sales figures. Regardless, the original statement was and still is stupid. One comment doesn't dictate the consensus of the entire thread, nor should the thread be bitching to the same extent about a handful of Metal designed figures when Todd was putting out literally nothing but Metal figures for like a year.
>>11579901>>11579904
>>11579901>>11579698>>11579680>>11579071I don't get why importers are doing NEW toys of all these older DC characters, particularly when they are repeating a version (e.g. HUSH) that other importers and toy companies shave done more than once. I'm sure they must sell enough to make it worth their while OR in their home market, it's what they want (e.g. more TDK, more HUSH) but from, I would suspect, many buyer's and collector's perspective, it just like excess and overkill for some of these arcs/characters/lines.
>>11579901>>11579904>$116And you guys bitch about $25? Holy shit. It doesn't even come with unmasked Jason head. I've purchased Marvel Legends that come with as much stuff for a fraction of the price.
>>11579910>I don't get why importers are doing NEW toys of all these older DC charactersThese are the characters that sell. Not too difficult to understand.>particularly when they are repeating a version (e.g. HUSH) that other importers and toy companies shave done more than once. It's what sells bro. Hush in particular was touted as babies first Batman comic, with the Jim Lee art, gallery of rogues all appearing, the entirety of his then supporting cast and extended Bat Family appearing, all of it. Of course it's going to be popular. They're catering to the lowest common denominator in order to get Maximum sales.

Regardless, the original statement was and still is stupid. One comment doesn't dictate the consensus of the entire thread, nor should the thread be bitching to the same extent about a handful of Metal designed figures when Todd was putting out literally nothing but Metal figures for like a year.Todd putting out literally nothing but Death Metal figures is not true though and you should know it. There is factual evidence of it on mcfarlane's site with the figure release dates and actionfigure411. It was mixed in with movie figures (just like this display) and video game figures (just like this display) and unusual comic figures (just like this display). McFarlane had figures like Deathstroke from Arkham, Batman from Arkham, Cartoon Cyborg/Batman/Superman, a wave of Snyder Cut figures, a Rebirth Joker and Flash, N52 Red Hood, Cartoon Harley, etc. all also came out around 2020-2021The main shared function of InArt's display with McFarlane's 2020-2021 output is the low amount of classic costumes. Inart seems to have a classic Joker and a DKR Batman (which I guess you could say is a classic look, although not the most 'standard' classic look). McFarlane early in the line in 2020 had DC1000 Batman and AC1000 Supes which both work for classic looks as they may be modern comics but the looks work for classic looks. The Batman was just done horribly. From what I can see, the problems of early McFarlane are all here in this InArt display.I suspect there is little care because InArt isn't a major budget line DC license holder ready to pump out tons of figures fast and thus the audience was looking to Todd for what they wanted, while now they look to Mattel, and ignore "weird" import lines.
>>11579915>that sellAnd I implied that - I suspect this is what sells in say Japan, where they think DC Comics is Batman and his six sidekicks. And that Gotham is the center of the DCUAnd every Robin lives at Stately Wayne Manor.
>>11580026That’s some terrible art even compared to modern western comic slop
>>11580026Lmao, you're implying this isn't the case for audiences outside of Japan as well?
