>>11576864IMO soft goods only works with capes, not coats
>>11576850goddamnit why was that a store exclusive?!
I went ahead and edited the checklist for my own use. the progression of Carnage figures is wild. >Green Goblin wave CarnagePainted on black stuff, no accessories.>Monster Venom wave CarnagePainted on black stuff, but it had accessories!>Venompool waveSculpted on black stuff, but no accessories>Target exclusiveSculpted on black stuff and accessories! It took them four damn tries to make a good Carnage, and it was a fucking store exclusive. It's nuts that we haven't had a Symbiote-themed wave in five years, despite multiple Symbiote events in the comics and two movies coming out in that time.
>>11576871It works fine when it's done well. That looks like a fucking dish cloth because the material is too thick and fuzzy looking. I think the best 1/12th figure soft goods coat I've seen is Figscript Ryoma Nagare.
The one I made using ML's coat before.
>>11576890Shit
An acceptable Mandarin swap. I still want the retro carded animated version though.
>>11576883yeah the flow is good but the texture's all wrong.while we're at it, shouldn't the blue parts be metallic?>>11576890yeah like that. but less cyan more sapphire
>>11576900Shove them up my ass.
>>11577052If it's a comic version, yeah his boots should be metallic blue.I find it funny that it's damn near impossible to get spot on comic versions of comic characters despite there being so many companies putting them out. Not one motherfucker out there can get a Jim Lee or Capcom Psylocke right, for example.
>>11576728Not only do they raise the price, but they also remove accessories that were shown in promotional shots? Neat.
>>11577098They were only shown in the renders to be fair. See >>11576804. The in hand sample was accurate to what actually released and when they went over what accessories she came with, they only mentioner having one set of alternate hands. This is why I don't like using renders, especially in package renders. I can understand showing off a render of the toy initially but we don't need to see all the accessories or in box shots until the actual thing is fabricated. Would prevent a lot of this shit, like with the various Mystique fuck ups over the years, and I'm sure others. Whoever is in charge of doing their renders either isn't kept in the loop or is kind of a lazy piece of shit. Either way they need to cut this shit out.
What is the best Jubilee? (Must have a pretty Asian face)Is there a Channing Tatum Gambit figure yet? What is the best Phoenix Jean? What about other 90's style X-Men enemies?I do like more detail than simple spandex, but stuff more like torn and normal clothing would be better than just random greeblies or sculpted details, the X-Men should look more like a bunch of young cosplayers than sci-fi tech equipped guys IMHO, only ones like Gambit, cyclops, and Xavier should have a custom made set of gear.
>HOW COULD THIS HAPPEN TO ME? I MADE MY MISTAKES, GOT NO WHERE TO RUUUUN...
>>11576444>>11576447>>11576452Thanks for posting, that's nice to know. The tentacle not being all bendy really sucks, they did something similar with MCU Reed and that figure sucks too.>>11576804>one shitty grip hand so she can hold the mini comic nobody asked forThat's such a dumb idea. I know some people may love the mini comics and I'm happy for them but I think the majority just throw them in the bin.
>>11576871This. I'm buy this Gambit if he had Hush's coat/arms. One looks like a collectible and the other looks like a doll.
>>11576896Based Marvel Action Hour Enjoyer. I'll be using Wong's body with a cape for my Mandarin.
I think this looks cool and it makes me want to double back for the first two pack just for the head
>>11577215You posted this last thread and no one replied. You don't need to post it again.
>>11577217I’m not the op schizo
>>11577220Still. You didn't need to post it again.
>>11577230Lmao get over yourself you fucking faggot. Go mod a discord or kick a puppy if you want to feel in control.
>>11577237Go cry into your pillow about it. Sorry that no one gives a fuck about your head swap.
>>11576882The exclusive had a worse headsculpt than the Venompool wave
>>11577100Dude, I don't want to have to watch hour long streams just to get accurate information on what the figure comes with. It should be on the promo pics they make because that is what is shown on the order page. Inaccurate information about what a product comes with needs to be punished by forcing the company responsible to offer a page on their website where anyone who ordered one can claim a non-return "refund" for the full price of the product. That would get them to knock that shit off real fast. But of course corporations have no regulations here so they can just do whatever they want.
>>11577327Bro, I'm agreeing with you that it's not ok that they fucked up. I was just pointing out WHERE the fuck up occurred and that I don't like them using renders for the promo material on actually solicited toys. They should be using actual photos of the toy and in package photos on the actual solicitations you see at various websites. At least the websites got the box contents correct in the description. Not an excuse mind you, but it's clear that the issue was they used an outdated render as the solicitation/promotional images. Pretty glaring fuckup, not sure how no one caught that.
>>11577340Actually I double checked some of the other releases and if she only had one set of alternate hands it should say one set, and not two. So even the item description was fucked up. I take it back, scalp them.
Any zombies you guys wanna see be made into a toy? I'm personally hoping for a Thor and Captain Marvel. Ms.Marvel was one of the first infected in Dead Days so having a zombie version of her feels right. Zombie Thor with Red lightning effect would be crazy. Zombie Captain Marvel having translucent skin would be a cool effect. If they still did lights id even say put some i. Her head and chest so she can glow.
>>11577366Trash.
>>11576900>>11576900Tendrils are backwards, believe it or not. Shuma's segments come from behind his body. If you want to fix the gap around his eyelids heatbthe area around it up with a hairdryer, pull it forward a bit, then super glue it down. There's a ring inside, a ledge where the outer body is supposed to sit, right up next to the moving eyelid but they didn't glue it on.
Made some tweaks. Forgot that Beast was with Gold Team until I rewatched the episode. How did 97 end up being so good?
>>11577452Because it was run by someone who actually liked the original cartoon and wanted to do it justice.
>>11577468Based big gay black bear
I get shuma today
>>11577468>and then they fired him next season is gonna be shit
>>11577494I got pozzed today uwu
>>11577500I think he had s2 planned out from what I recall, but s3 will probably be shit. Unless they just totally rewrite s2 and such, then no bets on that either.
>>11577553Pretty sure you're right and they're going to use his outlines for S2. So hopefully the quality won't nosedive. I want to see Morrison New X-Men in animated form. Too bad it'll be hot garbage if they ever make it to Astonishing.
>>11577494Do you fear him? >>11576900
>>11577577He'll be kept it in the box and sold 10 years from now
>>11577580Will Marvel Legends collecting exist 10 years from now though I wonder?
>>11577587Could be good for me if it's not
>>11577214Stop crying and post more toys
>>11577452what the fuck is even going on in this picture? LEARN TO POSE. I'M BEGGING YA.
>>11577611Are you going to whine every time?
>>11577611What exactly do you want him to pose them doing?
>>11576864Asking this thread cause I'm curious and doing research, what's the general consensus on the MONDO line of figures and such?
Why did they choose a character with as bleh a design as Gladiator to bundle with Deathbird?
>>11577649QC is apparently not great. Paint easily scratches. Articulation is kind of lacking. They look good but I think functionally they're a bit lacking.
>>11577653They're both Shi'ar. Did you really not know that?
>>11577666Wrong
>>11577620If he keeps posting shitty pictures like that, then yes.>>11577637How about anything? You tell me what Wolverine is supposed to be doing in that image?
>>11577670Yes, they are both together in X-Men 97 as well. That doesn't mean his design isn't terrible. I'd rather have a totally unrelated character.
>>11577699How about you actually buy some toys before you come in here and bitch at others?
>>11577699My interpretation is Wolverine is grabbing Magneto from behind and is about to impale him with his claws.
>>11577718>My interpretation is Wolverine is grabbing Magneto from behind andthats hot anon, keep going im almost finished
>>11577718Almost like the scene from the TV show the guy mentions in his very post. I swear some of the retards here like >>11577699 are such casuals I don't even know why the collect these toys. (They don't)
Ok, which one of you did this?
>>11577734No, seriously? Why would you do something like this?
>>11577734>>11577736>failed customs of the same charactersThere's your reason
>>11576883>>11576871the big issue with fabric on toys like this is toy makers that specialize in plastic don't really know how to make the fabric portions at that scale. The stitch thread needs to be darker in the areas that have actual depth lines in the source material, and match the fabric for the stitching that should be hidden. The density of the weave needs to be as fine as possible, due to the scale. This also impacts the hand of the fabric (the way the fabric folds and moves) so careful selection is very very important. Lastly, while they plastic gets paint, the fabric rarely does. That Gambit does a better job than most without getting a higher scale, sure. However, at that price point, they REALLY should be knocking out some superior quality. I feel like their Scarlet Spider did it better
>>11577734I swapped my 97 wolverine for the gamerverse wolverine. Included the unmasked head and cowl. Even trade baby.
>>11577366How the fuck did Thor and Marvel get infected???
>>11577734I love it when swappers go the extra mile as if the Walmart wageslaves will notice or care
Oh hell yeah, Amazon came through, I got my girl!Getting her balanced on those heels is a nightmare. Does anybody do stands for ML figures?
>>11577779one of the writers has a boner for Wanda and she basically wins every fight and never has any weaknesses throughout the entire series
>>11577880Just use your generic tamashii flight stands.
>>11575685That actually really sucks, this thing is a space hog and it'd be nice to store it when you need to re-do your room or somethingAt least it's probably a 'trim the mushroom cap before you put it on the body' mod like on the old BAFs
>>11578117Also it's not as good as the CGI model, but the cross-armed pose CAN be done
>>11578118Cg renders need to be banned as promotional images put on store pages
>>11577880OK the cartoony hair sculpt is starting to big me. I might need to consider head swap options
>>11578460Agreed
>>11578460Thirding this. I specifically mentioned this yesterday about the Rachel Summers extra hands thing.
ITS UP!!!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=huvo6MGbh2M
>>11578587Bootleg is a bootleg is a bootleg. Sucks that these things get shilled so hard here now.
>>11578587>This is Otto isn't it?It's OK not to know basic lore but it's pretty dumb to admit it.
>>11578801Because it's better made than an actual ML. Why do you sound mad anyway? A company isn't your friend, they don't give a shit about you, and if someone else is willing to produce better figures for same cost, why not get them?
>>11578840Who even mentioned ML? I didn't. Don't project your weird insecurities about a toyline and a toy company on to me sister. They're just not as good as the real Revoltechs and Mafexs. It's cool they're doing original designs I guess, but they're shilled a bit too heavily by the crowd that likes them, and I say this owning a couple of CT products that vary in quality.
>>11578801Its a cheap toy, things that rarely get released anymore
Amazon just charged me for both Juggs and Shumagantos but it still says they're coming November
>>11579000They've been shipping out the past few days. Some folks have them already. My Shuma is in the mail.
>>11577714Get the two pack and sell off Gladiator then. I know there's demand for him because I sold off the last version of him years ago and made suprisingly more than my money back. That was such a shitty figure too.
>>11579019Only issue is a lot of other people are going to have the same idea so ebay will be full of Gladiators and if the 2 pack doesn't sell out you won't even get half due to ebay fees.
>>11579026I think you're overestimating people just wanting Deathbird. For most people, if you want one, you'll want the other too. Especially since the BaF was difficult to complete. Not even sure why you're getting so uppity about it. Are you the same guy who sperged out about the most recent Doom being in the Cabal three pack?
>>11576864>gambit shit color editionThey took the wrong page out of SHF’s book
>>11579033Gladiator has already had a release, while Deathbird has not, so it makes sense she would be more in demand.
>>11579033Also not sure why you're mentioning BAFs. You seem to be implying Gladiator was a BAF when he wasn't but maybe I'm misunderstanding.
Marvel Legends Series IV Gambit has been my stim since I was a kid, apologies to any collectors since I've broken about ten of them so far.
>>11579043>>11579044Oh shit that's right, it was the Apocalypse head that was the BaF part. I got it confused. He was just hard to find for whatever reason.
>>11577653Gladiator was going for $40 on average like three months ago so I don't see the issue with Marvels Legion of Super-Heroes Superman rip off with an actual heat beams head getting an update
>Cyclops& Jean 2-pack on the wayAnyone else? Whilst it's an incredible bland figure, I've been wanting to replace the buckycap cyclops since I got it 5 years ago. Another character like Daredevil that is taken far too long to get a update figure on a new buck.>>11577653I'm gonna be one of those on eBay looking for Gladiator. Since I'm only collecting silver age to mid 80's, the 90's DB does nothing for me, although I could probably sell her quite easily like I did zabu wave Cable.
>>11579063Jean's angry. She wants her boots customized on.
>>11579053>He was just hard to find for whatever reason.Oddly enough he wasn't, he was easily the worst seller of that wave. Problem was that since so few people bought him he became rare on the secondary market and anyone who needed the Apocalypse head was stuck having to pay rape prices for Gladiator.
>>11578848Not that anom but calm down little bro, its a simple comparison. Anyway, how would you know Revoltech and Mafex are better? Did you already compare it? Do you have them in-hand? You'll send pics/video right? Also no one has even mentioned ct toys in the past threads so I dont know where you are getting this idea from.
>>11578587Painted webbing sure doesn't look as good as the flat designs in the previous two, but otherwise seems alright. >>11578830No one should be shamed for not reading Dan Slott crap.>>11578848I think they're a little underrated, if anything. No classic bootleg shortcomings on mine.
>>11579063i still prefer the shitty old buckycap one since it has shading and the head sculpt looks better
>>11579082>Also no one has even mentioned ct toys in the past threads so I dont know where you are getting this idea from.Mess Toys is CT. They just renamed. I have three different CT figures and they range from good to pretty rough. CT Anti venom being the best of the bunch. As for how I know how they compare to Mafex and Revoltech? I literally own like two dozen Mafex figures at this point and like a dozen or so AYs. The difference is noticable. So comparing the figures I have in hand I have a pretty good idea of the quality comparison.
>>11579139No mention of ct or mess toy last thread. So again I dont know where you are getting this. Also do you own the new mess toy figure now? Have you predently made an on-hand comparison?
>>11579182>No mention of ct or mess toy last thread. So? I'm responding to the video of the Mess Toys Superior Spider Man posted in this thread. >So again I dont know where you are getting this. Are you retarded or an ESL or you just didn't read the conversation?>Also do you own the new mess toy figure now?I own a handful yes. >Have you predently made an on-hand comparison?Seriously, are you an ESL? And yes I have. Why do you think it's so impossible for someone to own a Mafex or an AY? Are you that poor?
>>11579234>I'm responding to the video of the Mess Toys Superior Spider Man posted in this thread.Thats like one guy with one vid jfc. You make it sound like a million people are screeching for them. Why are you so touchy with them?>Are you retarded or an ESL or you just didn't read the conversation? Are you? Thats one guy with one vid. Youre seeing things that arent there.>I own a handful yes.I ask if you own the new mess toy figure ie the superior spiderman not their entire catalog. Lol and you're asking me if im ESL when you cant answer properly.>Why do you think it's so impossible for someone to own a Mafex or an AY?I didnt, when did I say that? I was merely asking if you compared them and you went ballsitic for some reason. I suggest you go outside and take a deep breath, you are inhaling too much plastic. You need ventilation in your basement little bro. Its bad for your head and lungs.
>>11579000My Shuma is already here. No sign of Juggs yet. Still says the 22nd of Oct for me.
>>11579276You're the one getting touchy about my opinions about some shitty chink bootleg. I'm not the one who needs ventilation Ping.
>>11576864Whats the best figure from marvel legends or GIJoe to make this guy
>>11579292Nah thats you Jose. I ask a simple question and you got so worked up.
>>11579491If you insist
Is there a figure of this?Or will I have to wait till doomsday
>>11579665I wonder if hasbro will risk a wide assortment for Doomsday. If the movie fails like every marvel film this year it will lead to a lot of mad retailers
>>11579672I doubt they'll make more than the main cast, probably as two packs for $100 each.
>>11579711>two packs for $100 each.
>>11579806They're still the old price elsewhere. You know Amazon does this algorithmic pricing shit. Why are you all so fucking stupid. Oh my God.
>>11579811Algorithmic pricing is insidious and must be exposed. It should be rendered illegal and prices should be required to be set by a human.
>>11579834Sorry to burst your little commie bubble, but here in the land of the free, retailers are allowed to charge whatever the fuck they want for an item. MSRP stands for manufacturer SUGGESTED retail price. Yes, algorithmic pricing is scummy and needs to be done away with, yes it sucks that Amazon is upcharging for these toys now, but we all know this already and just don't buy from them when they do this. Once again, why are you all so fucking stupid? This is like basic stuff.
>>11579842>j-just d-d-d-don't buy itDoesn't solve the problem because the endless consumerist sheep will, thus validating retarded shit to a company and making things worse for everyone else. Shut the fuck up and accept some things need a firm guiding hand (read: fucking bitch slap) to keep corporate cunts from ruining everything and you dumb fucking cocksuckers trying to go to bat for a company only make it worse. Stop being a fucking retard.
>>11579842Your freedom is just enslavement to corporations and their freedom to screw you over.>algorithmic pricing is scummy and needs to be done away withHow exactly do you think that would be done? Because there is only one way.
>>11579846>Whining about consumerism>On a board dedicated to collecting toysWhy. Are. You. So. Fucking. STUPID?????>>11579847>How exactly do you think that would be done? Because there is only one way.Banning algorithmic pricing isn't really the same thing as banning retailers from charging whatever they want. One just prevents an AI from doing the price adjustments for them.
>>11579853Again, stop being fucking retarded. You can buy things and also want consumer protections you goddamn dickless troglodyte.
>>11579853It would keep the adjustments from happening very frequently because a mere human can't manually adjust the prices for things that frequently while an AI can.
>>11579856Exactly. Which is why they should ban the algorithmic shit.>>11579855I'd be more sympathetic to your plight if you didn't have numerous other options to buy these things for cheaper. These figures aren't Amazon exclusive, go buy them from a company that won't gouge you. This isn't exactly rocket science.
>>11579859Every other option will charge him for shipping unless he's buying $79+ and will end up being a wash.
>>11579861You can mitigate shipping costs. If he buys two figures from BBTS, with their flat rate shipping, it'll still be a dollar or so cheaper than if he buys from Amazon with the higher prices.
>>11579867BBTS upcharges this wave of MLs to 25.99, so with 2 dollars shipping per figure it'll be the same 27.99 for 2 figures. Would need to get 3 to see an advantage.
>>11579868Then buy them from Target and waste money on gas. I don't know what to fucking tell you bro, but whining about Amazon and it's algorithmic pricing on 4chan accomplishes nothing and is just annoying. Yes it sucks that prices are going up and I'm sorry that it's pricing so many of you out of the hobby, but holy fucking shit stop taking it out on the rest of us.
