Nobody likes gen 9. We barely tolerate gen 8.
>>
>>11585725
I do but I'm trying to stop buying mid toys from Gen 6 and up. I'll probably buy annihilape when I find it.
>>
>>11585725
I enjoy some of Gen 9 but not much. Gen 8 can go fuck itself though apart from Orbeetle.
>>
>>11585725
Then why it sold so much
>>
>>11585725
Gen 9 rocks
>>
>>11585424
Is everything used an existing piece besides the face? I guess there's something about not creating new parts and only using generic bricks unlike all the Mega stuff. That said it doesn't look good though.
>>
All the Jazwares trainer stuff goes on clearance by me. Nobody wants it.
>>
>>11585854
You got a side hustle opportunity there
>>
>>11585861
people here want them? Which pokes?
>>
>>11585854
It's like that everywhere. These are all available online easily aside from people in Canada apparently. But Cinderace, Golisopod, Zeraora all hit clearance. Mega Charizard sold better and most sold out in store. Deoxys hasn't started hitting clearance yet but is still all over many stores.
>>
>>11585889
Interesting how it's flipped at the other end of the pond.
Zeraora barely appeared for sale, Golisopod and Cinderace sold out, Mega Charizard, Deoxys and Rayquaza are still plentiful in stock.
>>
>>11585911
The US got way too much Zeraora, Golisopod and Cinderace. Every store had a ton and dropped down to clearance as low as $7 in some areas. Cinderace and Zeraora are just not good figures at all so nobody wanted them
>>
>>11585719
I don't want plamos. I want Epic/Selects
>>
>>11585998
too bad
>>
>>11585998
Yeah just like they released Zacian and Zamazenta lol, jazwares it's too lazy and those designs are way too complicated for them and even if they do it, remember that because of the amount of details, any figure they could possibly release would add every horn or crest to the total height of the figure, making them super underscaled
>>
>>11585980
I think that's the problem with the US vs other countries. Because it's so huge, they always overstock what they do get and then it goes constantly on clearance.

Picrel are solid builds, except Garchomp's hole-covering stickers.

If you just want something quick that still looks nice, get a slowpoke.

She's awesome. I mostly use her as a stand in for May. I have a suspicion she may have inspired may's design. I also think a scene from the Shin Chan adult empire movie possibly inspired the opening to rse and that Wes from Colosseum inspired Allen Walker from D. Gray man.

Basically get fucked and pay the tariff, there is not another way. Also lucky for us, blokees produces shiton of toys for every line they have, right now there are still plenty of stock for the first ever blokees' pokemon wave so you can at least be sure than in a year from now, this new wave would still be up and MAYBE the economy would be better or at least you would have more money I don't know
>>
MFC has a November US release for the Snorlax wave of the Blokees. Now was that added on there just cause BBTS has them or is there actually a more widespread release?

If the arms and legs are ball pegs and can articulate that'd be great. I wonder if Corphish is just a one-off (Ash did have one) or if we might see a Classic-M show up where the more mid-sized Pokemon might be able to show up, like Crawdaunt.

Machop and Galarian Farfetch'd round out wave 3. It's cool that Machop is quite well articulated. Hope that continues where possible. Also Sirfetch'd as an M (if it ever exists) like Crawdaunt would make sense, and a Machamp in L seems to be bound to happen.

What is this "M" you guys are talking about? I thought it was just this S series and the L series for the larger figures.
>>
>>11592465
Really cool, never thought he'd get a figure like this.
>>
>>11592692
M for Mexican
It's hypothetical
>>
>>11592692
Ya, purely hypothetical/speculatory. A place to fit in the mid-sized Pokemon like those mentioned, or some of the starter mid-evolutions, some of the bigger Eeveelutions (some like Flareon could fit S, given big ones like Slowpoke), etc.
>>
>>11592689
You know, this guy looks a lot like the recent articulated gashapon Kinnikuman.
>>
>>11592707
I understand. Just wishful thinking. I think the one larger figure of each small wave is basically an M sized figure. Psyduck, then Slowpoke, now Machop even tho its on the shorter side compared to how big Slowpoke is.
>>
Well Blokees actually surprised me by making corpish and machop, I thought it would be only shillmons and starters. L size machamp would surely be made

never done model kits in my life
would you say blockees is a good entry point?
there isn't any painting or delicate tiny stickers needed to be put on which is why i am tempted
these also just look like the best articulated pokemon figures and they seem quite cheap and chinese sites
>>
>>11593311
Probably shown coming week. These were all teasers for CTE.
>>

Blockees aren't even really model kits imo.
The L-size are mostly in a tray, you just have to attach the limbs etc to the torso.
S-size are basically bigger kinder surprise eggs.

Pokepla's the cut & assemble & sticker/paint plamo.

You're so god damn dumb. A 3d model is never a 1:1 copy when in toy form. They have so much articulation and other production crap they have to do that provides tons of opportunities to have stuff look wrong or get fucked up. Not too good but not horrible like some of them. Some joints and the bendy tail just don't work. Foot movement is limited and the bendy tail is too heavy and only can bend past the half way point so balance and foot posing is an issue. Then the base port in the back was done incorrectly so it doesn't go on the base well either.

This is one of the most retarded Megas I've ever seen. Most of the dumb looking Megas (Victreebell, Skarmory, Scolipede) don't bother me much because I was never a big fan of the base mon. But come on, Feraligatr has been a fan favorite for nearly 2 decades. Why do him dirty like this? It legitimately angers me, and i think that's a first in this franchise when it comes to Pokémon design.

Most of the scale world figures are literally just the models in their idle pose.

Some of the jazwares selects look so visually similar to their 3d models that they were definitely used as a base (Raikou, Mewtwo).

>Some of the jazwares selects look so visually similar to their 3d models that they were definitely used as a base (Raikou, Mewtwo)
That's not how it works when making figures. They have to remodel them and then add in all the joints and internal components. Some sculptors have posted the sculpts they've done for the Jazzwares Selects on their portfolios. The goal is to make a figure look as close to the source material so ofcourse some figures will look like the models.

>>
>>11595755
Not sure why anyone is surprised. Just compare the designs of stuff they make now compare to 25+ years ago. Gen 1-3 is absolute peak, top tier. that ratio of designs with soul to no soul is absurdly high. Gen 4 you start to see cracks in the armor, but still very good. Gen 5 it's starting to actually get bad. Gen 6 slight uptick back to Gen 4 levels. Then Gen 7-present you are basically lucky to have 2 or 3 designs per gen that you actually like. Stuff like the Tapus, Ultra Beast, Paradox forms, things that don't even look like pokemon. boring ass generic designs or just comically goofy ones that are retarded like the Dragonite/Feraligatr megas.
>>
>>11595682
As action figures? 2ndhand TOMY Ash is pretty cheap. I got two. Mainly because the accessories were split between them, but at least the faces differ.
Statics you got the tiny moncolle, the tiny scale world and the big pvc scales. Though Ali has some 3rd party I think statics of Misty/Brock/Ash now in two sizes.

I was actually pretty impressed with their Total Anime line - the figures are pretty decent and in somewhat good scale so you don't have like a giant Anya and a tiny Deku.

The new Avatar figures look like dogshit though, especially with the cloth outfits.

I feel like having them do Pokemon trainers would really be a monkey paw scenario where they'll end up being terrible and not really in scale with anything else.

How is the Battle Feature line in general? Can I move their joints normally or is it locked to some sort of "switch"?
>>
>>11601349
if they even have joints, they're all normal
>>
>>11601350
>if they even have joints
Yes I noticed that, I thought that the selcet line was the premium version with great articulation from >>11600460, but at the store they had others from the select line and they were basically funko pops.
>>
>>11601350
This is not true at all. Almost all those 4" figures have parts that can't be posed normally because of the action feature. Like Rhydon. The legs can't be moved other than when using the action feature and the shoulders are limited by it too.

>>11601356
The select line is not just one line. The black packages are used for multiple different lines. They have 3" solid figures in metallic or translucent plastic and various sizes of vinyl figures too.
>>
>>11601360
Like I said, if they even have joints, they're all normal. its legs don't have joints
>>
>>11601349
Features usually have a gimmick locking them, like closing legs will flap wings and shit, or karate chop action.
Unless you don't mind breaking that.

>>

>>
>>11601369
>if they even have joints, they're all normal. its legs don't have joints
No, You're wrong. The hips do move and allow it to bend forward, but it snaps back into the upright pose when you let go.

Tons of others also have joints but the limbs are affected by the action feature so you're just not correct. Charizard (legs), Blastoise (jaw), Arcanine (legs), Pidgeot (Wings), Aerodactyl (wings), Grimmsarl (elbow), Cinderace (hip), etc. Almost all these figs have joints that can't move freely and keep their posed position.
>>
Am I save buying the select line? When they have joints do they just work or do they also have those play "features"?
>>
>>11601445
6" has no features but many have joints that dont work as well as they should because they didnt design the body parts with enough clearance for the joints to work. Like Cinderace cant bend his knees more than 90 degrees or move the hips up much. Some are fine without any big problems and some are really horrible figures. It varies.

It's fun. I'd say it feels in many ways closer to a traditional mainline than a Legends sequel. You don't craft your pokeballs or healing items anymore, you buy them from the Pokemon center like you normally would. There's a lot more trainer battling. The ZA promotions feel like going through a gym challenge with a few trainers then a boss. The urban setting makes it feel like another Pokemon game rather than the old setting Arceus went for. The battle mechanics I'm enjoying and it's fun seeing catchable Pokemon in a city setting like Trubbish by some trash cans.

Did any of you have these old soft vinyls? Just hoping one of you can give me tips on how to clean them. Not sure what liquids or chemicals are safe. I just want to get all the paint smears from the other figures off without taking the original paint off.

Magic eraser works well. Cleaned some old bandai kids figures.

I got one of those somewhere, thanks. If it doesn't reach all the small crevices, do you recommend letting them soak in warm soapy water?

It should be able to get everywhere. You can try ripping a smaller piece of the eraser off and scrubbing. smaller areas.

Love the thing, just don't over-scrub the paint off.
