i wish he was smaller, but he does look good
>>
>>11592547
I actually agree. The size is cool but it feels more like a novelty than anything. I will admit it looks good, a definite improvement to the Retro carded one. Too bad I can't fit it on my X-villains shelf, he's too tall for it. Also, $120 is pretty steep imo. I guess he comes with a lot of stuff, and it's a lot of plastic but it still feels too expensive imo.
>>
>>11592506
Anthony was shilling this figure. He has almost totally reversed course and it's sad. He almost gave a $40 ML a 7/10. I miss negative Anthony when he was getting any sleep and hated action figures.

I really don't understand mezco's character selection sometimes... I know they're making a Hulk but he just seems destined for clearance unless its a convention exclusive.
>>
>>11592579
If it comes with a 90s head I'll bite though
>>
Can someone explain why the Sentinels needed to have pins?
>>
>>11592579
Yeah, it's definitely to go with their Hulk, but I really don't see too many people paying Mezco prices for the fucking Leader.

>>11592588
Maybe some stability issues they encountered during the assembly process? Maybe it's difficult to pinless at that size? It being a robot makes it an easier pill to swallow but yeah, it is kind of shitty.
>>
>>11592588
Why does it matter?
>>
Is pin complaining a newfag thing or is not caring about pins an oldfag thing?
>>
>>11592598

>>
>>11592598
The real question is why Hasbro keep photoshoping them out of the pictures
>>
>>11592606
They're not Photoshopping them out persay, It's because they're using renders for their solicitation images. That shit needs to fucking stop, see the Rachel Summers fiasco with the render showing an extra pair of hands, and the figure being advertised with them despite them not being present during the stream when they showed off samples. I don't mind them using renders to announce figures but when they solicit them for sale, they really need to be using actual photographs, same for figures that use renders on the box. They really need to be photos too.

Found Outback Storm today and took advantage of that $10 off $40 offer Target had to grab her and a TF. Wasn't even really looking for her but I thought about it and realized I actually had the rest of the Outback team already. Got some of the others on discount for parts, though I did get the Mojo set for Mojo since it was only a couple of dollars more than his single release at one point and is the superior paint job. Now I want an Outback Betsy.

I just realized according to the leaks they're going to be wearing Morrison's New X-Men costumes, and that means I'll finally get figures from one of my favorite eras. Too bad they won't emulate Frank Quietly, his art translates nicely to 3D imo.

Also have that and he was unfun. Maybe this one will be better 2 inches shorter and not a lank fest? Probably not but he looks amazing. Big guys are way too hard to play with in any case. Even the old Toybiz Pitt was shit to move around and too bulky.
>>
>>11593053
We know they do this. It's because of the rush of people buying them when they first go up for pre order. Just wait for clearance, these are absolutely going to bomb price wise except for maybe Enchantress. Or better yet, buy from somewhere else. Hasbro Pulse has them for MSRP.

You don't need to post this every thread.
>>
>>11593060
I only want Enchantress and Skurge for this wave. So I guess I only want Enchantress for now until the rest tank hopefully. And she's either going to get impossible to get or tank as well but I played it safe by po'ing her.
>>
This wave is pretty much doomed. Higher price for less desirable and notable figures. This was not the best wave to put out so early in these new prices cycle.
>>
>>11593126
They may not have had the option as the teriff and price shit has been pretty all over the place, plus the release window for these waves are decided months, if not a year om advance. Definitely going to be a hard sell with less desired characters and higher prices. I only really want WWII Logan and Enchantress, still debating keeping my orders for Werewolf and Iron Man.
>>
>>11592594
No, it doesn't. If anything, pins on a robot actually make sense.
>>
>>11593156
I only preordered Enchantress. I think she is the only one that has a chance at being that hard to get later (besides the BAF). If they overproduced these, I think the wave could get sales. Although there is the fact it's fan channel+Amazon only. But the looks are SO niche. It's hard to imagine a large volume of people paying $28 for many of these.
>>
>>11592965
I guess I would get it for $10, yeh. Even just for the head sculpt I guess.
>>
I also just preordered Enchantress. I'm hopeful Maximum Thor is in the works, and maybe one day they will make a Mangog, so I guess what I'm saying is I'm starting a Thor shelf. Loki needs a pinless (and scuptled chainmail) upgrade as well.
>>

You ever have a complete collection? For a while I did, but I lost it all. Rebuilding is going to be a nightmare, honestly.

I mostly collect movie stuff, because I like likenesses and life like sculpts, but my true completionism was villains. Lord, I had a gorgeous KO Thanos Figuarts, and a used Ultron, and so many of Thor's family members, Lord it was beautiful. Some of it will be incredibly easy to replace, some I figure is basically lost to me forever. Just have to saddle up and rebuild, I guess.

Serious question Anon, when you bought this figure, did you just not look at any pictures of it or anything? Was it just a text listing? How could you look at this atrocious looking action figure and then not only buy one copy, but two? I am being genuine, because I really wish to understand why so many people just buy everything that comes out regardless of what it is. It's not like this is some bait and switch, it was clear how bad this figure was just from the promo shots, the only real difference is that you couldn't tell how badly mis-matched the reds were.

>Serious question Anon, when you bought this figure, did you just not look at any pictures of it or anything? Was it just a text listing?
It's a retool of the RYV mold. I've gotten plenty of them in the past without this issue, and it's hardly like I'm the only one experiencing it.

>How could you look at this atrocious looking action figure and then not only buy one copy, but two?
I only paid for one but they sent me two. I didn't even pay full price, I paid $30.

>I am being genuine, because I really wish to understand why so many people just buy everything that comes out regardless of what it is.
First of all, I like Spider-Man, so I'd want a figure of him but battle damaged. Not that tough to comprehend. Second, I wasn't planning on buying it initially, I only got it in the first place because I was able to get it on sale.

>it was clear how bad this figure was just from the promo shots
How are you supposed to tell the ball joints in the hips are too large for the sockets on the leg from promo images? Because that's my problem. The figure itself is fine, they just fucked up some of the joint tolerances for some reason. It's almost like you didn't actually read my post.
>>
>>11594063
I’m just so sick of you crybaby bitch boys. It’s a hasbro product what do you expect? Did you expect quality>quantity a la Jada? Or intricate figures from LPZZ? Legends is a budgeted line that can overcharge because donkeys like you will buy it. Don’t expect the latest and greatest in terms of plastic quality, articulation, or sculpts, that’s reserved for respectable companies like Storm not hasshit.
Companies like Jada and LPZZ are pushing the envelope when it comes to showing what can be done in the toy world. Jada has already standardized their new and improved articulation scheme with 360 butterflies that can stick out and toe joints across the the board (you don’t need to wait for a MAXIMUM to get toe joints with Jada lol). Long hair characters like Blanka and Daphne have much softer plastic hair so you can actually articulate the head, unlike 99% of female legends. Meanwhile you got 2025 legends missing waist articulation and no butterflies (not to mention pins still visible).

Legends will always be behind everyone else. So stop complaining you already know what you’re purchasing.
>>
>>11594073
Jada isn't quality at all, quit licking their asshole already.

>>11594074

>It’s a hasbro product what do you expect?
NTA but the bare minimum is that the legs should be able to move without the peg sheering.

>Did you expect quality>quantity a la Jada? Or intricate figures from LPZZ?
What are you even trying to argue? No one was trying to compare it to a higher quality figure. The complaint is that the joint tolerances are fucked up compared to the rest of the line.

>Don’t expect the latest and greatest in terms of plastic quality, articulation, or sculpts, that’s reserved for respectable companies like Storm not hasshit.
Once again, no one was complaining about that. What are you even going on about?

>Jada has already standardized their new and improved articulation scheme with 360 butterflies that can stick out and toe joints across the the board (you don’t need to wait for a MAXIMUM to get toe joints with Jada lol). Long hair characters like Blanka and Daphne have much softer plastic hair so you can actually articulate the head, unlike 99% of female legends. Meanwhile you got 2025 legends missing waist articulation and no butterflies (not to mention pins still visible).
Ok. This doesn't predude Jada from fucking up for whatever reason and coming out with a figure that has shitty joint tolerances. It obviously wasn't meant to be like that, but something fucked up along the way.

>Legends will always be behind everyone else. So stop complaining you already know what you’re purchasing.
do you even know what the original complaint was about?
>>
>>11594073
I just wish these other companies would stop making the same fucking figures as each other. Literally the same fucking renditions of the same characters, enough fucking Street Fighter, Hush and Snydershite etc. it's insufferable. Imagine if literally anyone else tried to do even just a bit of what ML do with niche teams/characters.
>>
>>11594089

>>
I said it another thread but this board has a goddamn reading comprehension problem. Like it's clear >>11594073 didn't even read the original post with the complaint about the Spider Man because none of what he says has anything to do with said complaint. I just mean instead of 15 companies doing Chun Li from sf6 or Bale as Batman, I wish they would do like you said, Blokees realise there are no Rivals figures yet, so they do one. Like LPZZ and Inart are doing literally the same exact characters. We have Jada, Storm in two tiers, 52toys, and then like a dozen random Chinese companies doing 1/12 Street Fighter figures, enough man.
>>
>>11594092
transformers third party bootlegs are responsible for this given they make nothing but G1 crap
>>
>>11594092
His post was about quality issue. I argued that other companies don’t have this problem because they are quality over quantity.
>>
>>11594095
I wasn't contesting that, I just went on my own tangential rant because I agree with you, but as they don't provide an actual alternative to the characters Legends provide, they aren't the answer. Also I don't buy that if LPZZ decided to do like an X-Force line or something, that shit wouldn't sell out immediately, that's what I was lamenting.

My post was about them fucking up something on this particular figure. A very specific thing they fucked up. Didn't someone else mention the same thing about the neck just last thread?

>you don’t need to wait
They did this 2.5 years after the release of SF and other figs. And only after Storm Arena mocked them by releasing better Ryu and Ken at the same price. Nobody is mocking Hasbro right now with Marvel and Star Wars. Why should Hasbro try so hard if they simply don't have and won't have any competition?
>>11594089
>Imagine if literally anyone else tried to do even just a bit of what ML do
I think Disney is very comfortable with Hasbro. There's no way they give Marvel licence to another 25$ action figure company. Maybe there's even exclusive partnership that lasts for decade. Of course they gave marvel comic licence for Mafex and SHF but theirs sales won't affect Hasbro's.
>>
>>11594105
I'm sure you're right, I guess I am just hoping some Chinese team does like Eye Beam Summer, Badger Girl, Jane Grayson etc. or just Mafex or someone at least doing some characters other than just the X-Men.

No, different markets. Hasbro product is sold at big box retailers like Target and Walmart. Diamond Select stuff was relegated to specialty shops like comic shops and other boutique style stores. A lot of the same stores that are under Hasbro's Fan Channel umbrella like GameStop and FYE also sell Selects because they fall into that boutique style store genre.

You insufferable retards dont know how you have it and never will until hasbro loses the license
for good or bad hasbro is the ideal parther for the marvel line
jada and storm are relatively small with a limited production line, they probably do a/b listers and main teams for years until you could get the average deep cut hasbro does every 3 or so months, with the difference jada and storm can't tank literally who figures flopping like hasbro does, marvel legends has a team completition audience and for all their faults Dan and Dwight actually shills for them, thats why we get 90s literally who mutants as regular releases.
not to mention the mcu issue, disney quite literally forces them to shit mcu figures even tho they Dwight clearly doesn't give a shit for them, imagine Jada and Storm dealing with that.

Besides that hasbro has been improving, the 85 years line and the mvc line are fucking great and they are sthealtily using double ball joints and better necks now, look at the apocalypse and mvc wolverine, double jointed, look at mcu daredevil, has a great neck.

if you want to see what real slop looks like look at lightning collection, look at black series, look at dc macfarlane and mortal kombat figures

Maximun Spider-Man articuales more and is overall better than the mafex 75 and 185, has better qc, better proportions, more durable, cheaper, the paint doesn't chip, has more accesories, etc.
and to this day people refuses to admit it because they became conditioned to hate hasbro and shill other brands or articulation schemes, i do think the jada/mafex scheme is the better one but for most people thats irrelevant over brand shitfighting

I also have both and the mafex is probably the most overrated figure i ever had, i have even painted it myself and the paint falling down to the touch is quite common

you should see the mafex gigantic head and diminute hands and feet
the maximun isn't perfect, its feet are too big, but its centantly better than the mafex
also the maximun has more torso and leg range despite not being double jointed
its like the one time they actually executed that articulation scheme in a good way and people do mental gymnastic to deny them any credit since its competition its quite literally babies first import

Just wanted to echo this. I don't even care about Power Rangers, but I loved all the big, goofy monsters they did. Great for generic fantasy or sci-fi displays. Also, the single release Rita Repulsa is probably the best version of that character we'll get for a long time - which is probably why that figure is going for stupid prices on the aftermarket.

The dude shilling for Hasbro has such terrible taste that he's ragging on some of the few products Hasbro actually did WELL in recent memory.

>Mattel is a lot worse than Hasbro, even by today's standards. It's clear you don't collect anything made by Mattel.
What Mattel figure lines are your referring to? WWE? MOTU? Most Masterverse releases are very good. Sure, they've had issues with a few female faces recently, but the are re-releasing that Teela figure at least. Besides, they're getting the DC license soon. Then we'll have a very direct comparison with Marvel Legends. Until then, I appreciate Mattel's (slightly) higher quality and lower prices, compared to Hasbro figures.
>>
>>11594307
I'll give you Masterverse but the rest of it is pretty crappy.
>>
>>11594307
Masterverse isn't bad but they're WWE or JP releases, at least for the humans in JPs case, felt like a step down all around from Hasbro. Articulation was engineered worse, the likness wasn't even close, the paint was sloppy, the plastic felt even gummier and shittier than most Hasbro products. I'd have to assume that Mattel is somewhat more constrained on what they can do for licensed IPs vs ones they outright own. I'd imagine it's a similar situation to Hasbro in that the GI Joe Classified figures feel a step up form you average ML, probably has something to do with the fact Hasbro pays licensing fees for Marvel whereas they own GI Joe. Mattel is the same way.
>>
>>11594307
Masterverse HAS to be good because Revelation and New Eternia were really divisive among fans. DC has a huge fanbase baked in already so Mattel could get away with crap and people will still eat it up.

I think MOTU Origins/Cartoon/Crossover stuff is pretty great too. Also, not a fan of the property, but the Mattel Lightyear toys had some great generic stuff - Big robots for GI Joe or X-Men, vehicles and playsets for 1/18 scale scifi, a big NERF bazooka - There was something for just about everyone.

I'll even pick up an occasional WWE figure to be a random sumo wrestler or sultan. Don't care about dinosaurs though. So, if JP is the only line they're failing at, I'd say they're well ahead of the curve.

>>11594363
its actually hasbros fault
hasbro has the master license for the 6inch domestic toyline and articulated action figures, thats the reason diamond select was 7 inch and had limited articulation, hasbro was cockblocking them, thats also the reason Marvel Funkos are bubbleheads, to work around hasbro master license
mezco is the only american company that makes 6inch marvel figures besides hasbro and is mostly because they classified themselves as a high end expensive collectible
meanwhile Sh and Mafex only do figures on asia, supposedly mafex was cockblocked out of having european distribution because doing so would make them lose the marvel license since that conflicts with the master license

>>
>>11594410
As someone who gets the wrestling stuff it's actually pretty good, better on accessories than the average Legends. Just got a Terry Funk on clearance for $13. Not a big hand of how the wrists plug in.
>>
>>11594380
You're repeating many myths. Disney has all the power to decide who can make figures. They can create another niche type of license if they want that doesn't conflict with Hasbro's master license. Diamond Select's license also had nothing to do with limited articulation (look at their Psylocke; it has quite good POA) but more to do with where it could be distributed, i.e. not major retail places like Target and Walmart where MLs are. Now that company is gone however, its unlikely anyone will be given the same license.
