sure, though they'll each be Leader class priced because of it.

They already gave us Goldbug, I don't know why they can't do the other 5. They could be easy retools of the existing molds.

>devastator and the MP/commander are so big I have to put them on the ground

SS devastator complete

I think I would like to get my hand on the classic G1 devastator just to see how much improvements are there between the vintage and the current SS

Checking on my local sellers
The encore reissue and the Tonkanator is about the same price

Though for The encore I am afraid the set might be Kos and not to mention the discoloring between the Greens- it is very transparent in the photos

Maybe Tonkanator is a better choice? There are no KO of the thing. And the yellow is a change from the usual green. But that is not really TV devastator though

Both mold should be same right? With the new improvements?

>Encore anime
Yeah no. That thing is like $300 right now

Dreamwave was better than IDW thats for sure. The only bad TF comics ever were IDW. Even the old Marvel comics dunk on IDW. Even if you put aside the massive amounts of pussy ass faggotry in IDW, the designs and the art were vomit inducing

Is anyone able to find the instructions for this online? Hasbro site for instructions seems finnicky for search terms and the unicron site didnt seem to have it either, or not that I can seemingly find. I got a loose autotrooper and could just watch a video or get the ironhide I think it is instructions instead I suppose, but gosh the instructions are hard to find for this pack

same with me. modern transformers are not safe to just 'figure out'
fuckin original tigerhawk had steps that could be very confusing and I often found myself pulling hard on really thin parts of plastic that flexed.. and even the black remold that's like 20 years old or more now.. still didn't break last time i tried to transform him from memory.
>>
>>11594420
I haven't bought much Hasbro stuff since we got headmasters and the WFC stuff. If Bruticus lives up to the hype I will be ok playing that much since I tend to just do 3p purchases these days.

He's cool, I guess. He was also over THIRTY fucking dollars after tax. Like, I guess he's big enough to be considered a deluxe, although a fairly insubstantial one. He's definitely feels a bit hollow in both modes. I know the idea is that size classes are just price points now, but I can't say that I'm feeling that extra $X.XX worth of quality anywhere.

And he's got the same problem as pretty much every transformer I've bought over the past few years—the transformation is unsatisfying and the alt mode feels unfinished. There are a bunch of little tabs and bits that ultimately only seem to affect his final proportions slightly, and I'm not sure why because his proportions are still weird. The whole thing could have been a lot more elegant, I think.

I don't disagree with you. Even with his ridiculous feet, his proportions are still better. Plus he had to have a titan master cockpit in his torso, so I feel like that's the only reason his head gets left out in the cold. And wasn't the MSRP for legends still like 10 bucks at that point?

Honestly though, the new one looks better if you leave his feet un-collapsed. He's still got gorilla arms, but it fixes a lot of my issues with his proportions. It feels like these designers are adding steps and parts to transformations just to try and justify the absurd price points, lol. All these fiddly little panels just for the sake of aesthetics feels like a step backward. It feels very "3P" to me.

>>11594565
>Personally I'm looking forward to every issue
Yeah, I like it. I've got a lot of catching up to do. I'm interested in what Kirkman is gonna do as writer. I was just really sad when DWJ stopped doing art back around issue 6 or whenever it was—his page layouts and paneling were excellent. The guy that followed was decent enough at copying his style, but his layouts were fucking snoozeville, and it made me realize that was a big part of my enjoyment.
>>
>>11594575

>>
>>11594553

The clearance of the fan frame around his head is hugely important for me, not to mention the new one is a lot more fun to transform than the TR one.

To be fair, it was a pretty bad first look. DJW had this way of making his designs look really unappealing in their stock art, you had to see it motion to get a feel for it.
>>
>>11594583
He managed to make the leap from page to screen, which comic OCs rarely do
But it's the amount of merch he's go since then that feels disproportionate

I read the entirety of their G1 series (not all of War Within though). Only the 1st mini series is dogshit. The 2nd mini and ongoing were actually quite good.

Honestly one of the reasons I like Skybound so much is the first 24 issues try to keep the references to previous Transformers media minimal (mainly a handful of eyerolling 86 movie references) and it mostly tries to do something unique with the Sunbow setting. I hate how self-referential Transformers has become. It's grating when every other line out of a character's mouth is their G1 bio or some quote from the 86 movie.

It's one of those bots of yesteryear that manages to stay relevant just because it's unique and stylish. His posability isn't even bad, it's just that some of his joints are weird. But he makes up for it with a cool, functional alt mode, which is something modern bots fucking suck at.

Yolopark made 2025 Botcon-exclusive model kit toys and packaged in a story with them. While this botcon was unofficial.. the licensed toys were not, technically, and in the story the universe 'Lady Cliffjumper' comes from is named 'Primax 625.12 Gamma', which is a Transtech-style universal stream designation.

So, Pulse FINALLY decided to send me my Onyx Prime today. He's the one Prime I was actually excited about, and I was getting impatient seeing others with theirs all this time.\
He's bigger than I had expected from pictures, and he's actually a Quad-changer of sorts.
Standard robot mode looks cool and imposing; his hooved feet are digitigrade and have some extra joints that are useful for posing. His shoulders are also on pseudo-butterfly joints, so you can swing them forward a bit if you raise his extra set of legs that are draped over his shoulders. His wings look nice and can move back and forth as well as having a joint in the midsection to make the tips go up and down, but I wish he had a joint at the base of the wing as well for better range of motion in his other modes.
He comes with a spear, the tip of which is actually intended to be a reimagined version of his signature Triptych Mask.
>>
File: Triptych Mask.jpg (246 KB, 1500x2000)
246 KB
246 KB JPG
>>11594871
Speaking of the Triptych Mask - yes, it is indeed possible to make him "wear" it, though it's not documented in his instructions. His chest panel opens up to reveal a little square slot that the armature normally slides up on when in Beast Mode, but the rectangular port on the back of the Mask/Spearhead fits into it perfectly; closing the chest panel (which is slightly curved and conforms perfectly with the cylindrical base of the spearhead) holds it in place, and his forehead fits right into the groove on the raised ridge that runs along the back of the spear. It's not perfect and looks ridiculous, but it works.

>>11594872
Centaur mode. Throw his shoulders forward, unfurl his extra legs so they come down and around, then bend the joint in his midsection; from there, it's just arranging his legs and pushing his robot face up into his helmet to give him a more beastly visage, and he's done. In either mode, his tail detaches and opens to become a bow, and his spear can be attached to a slot on the edge to turn it into a massive arrow. It's honestly pretty ungainly and difficult to pose him with - the length of the spear itself gets in the way of most of his arm articulation. Still, I like that he can go full Sagittarius, and it's definitely my favorite of his four canon modes.
>>
File: Onyx Prime3.jpg (301 KB, 2000x1500)
301 KB
301 KB JPG
>>11594874
Dragon mode. This isn't really much of a transformation - it's just his bipedal robot mode on all fours with the tail moved down slightly and his robot head tucked into his chest while the dragon head hanging off of his back is folded down. It's not the most horrible beast mode I've ever seen, and I was a fan of the Prime Predacons, so it doesn't bother me too much. Technically, the ankle spurs on his hind legs are supposed to fold into his hooves in this form, but I'm keeping them out to further differentiate it from his next form.
His spear plugs into his back for storage, with the Mask detaching and reattaching to one of the pegs on the spear handle's side with the other peg tabs into a slot above his tail cover; the spear can also be tabbed into a slot on the back of either of his wings.

>>11594875
I'm honestly not sure what to call this mode. a Hexa-dragon? Whatever it is, it's official, and has an entire section dedicated to it in his instructions. It's basically the exact same as his dragon mode, except you fold his shoulders forward and flip the extra legs down, using the extra joints on them to shorten them a bit. It definitely looks alien, but doesn't really accomplish much more than the normal dragon mode.
>>
File: Onyx Fanmode.jpg (252 KB, 2000x1500)
252 KB
252 KB JPG
>>11594876
Lastly, I tried out the fanmode an anon here posted a little while back. By repositioning his robot arms and slightly raising his upper torso on the joint used for Centaur mode, the additional legs can be brought forward a bit more, giving him four hooved legs and making him reminiscent of a Hippogriff - albeit one with a dragon head. This mode leaves his torso a bit unstable, since you bend the transformation joint about halfway between its centaur and normal configurations to give the robot arms the clearance they need to move back, plus the robot hands are left kinda hanging out exposed in the rear, but it's still a cool configuration and one I actually have him in on my shelf right now. He has a bunch of other tabs on his body that look like they can be used for other unofficial configurations, though I'll have to play around with him a bit more to see what I can come up with on my own.
Overall, I like him - definitely the most interesting of the Primes released so far. I'm still wondering if they'll do a blue repaint of him for Shockwave-Onyx at some point.
>>
>>11594871
i was so worried that he'd be too badly short-shinned, but really he ended up okay in that department. not great, but better than he looked from the promotional images
>>11594874
but then this, the part I assumed would look good, does not at all. Someone needs to tell them a centaur doesn't have the horse legs right behind the horse arms. yeah you need horse ribs and horse tummy and hips and shit. looks more ridiculous than Motaro. and the tail is the bow? I love weapons storage, but... I want to be able to display a complete-looking centaur archer. also: rule 1 of winged archers is the bow comes from the wings.
>>11594875

It depends on many factors, but stock in general seems low for this line. A unique problem for me is that locally, stores barely stock anything, so it's online or bust. I mostly have to get lucky with sales or ebay.

The other problem for figures is that everything after w2 tends to be a mystery on what will go on sale or sell out. Hell, right now Targets over in the united states are tossing out leaders and some people have gotten them for a few bucks, but others have been denied sales.

Wow, that reminded of a YTMND bit with this image. Used Sgt Hartmann from Fullmetal Jacket's like "What the fuck is that? Hooly Jesus..." and repeated.

But yeah, that image reminds me of the hate it got when it first appeared. All the boards and even non TF boards were all "WTF is this?"

I think you have to use the Target app on your phone. You can create a free account, and can add "Circle bonuses" to it that are available each week. Then when you check out at the store, you scan the barcode on your app, and it applies the coupon.

>time to finish Devastator
>switch to Pokemon cards because this season is hype with team Rocket and Mega sets
>...

>no money to finish Devastator
I'm thinking about going back to transformers after i will get couple of cards i need.
Trasnformers is a much better hobby.
In pokemon cards regular "cheap" cards cost like one Deluxe transformer and a card you really need costs way more than a Leader or have even a price of a Titan.
And at the end you just get a thin paper you put in your binder.

I was out of Pokemon Hobby for a year and i felt so happy collecting Dinobots and other SS86 stuff and and it felt SO GOOD having physical chunky heavy objects that just make you feel nice.

Another thing is community. I know TF-community like to argue about stuff but it's not nearly as shitty as Pokemon community filled with absolute dogshit people - investors scalpers NFT-Crypto bros and other degenerates.
They don't even like pokemon cards. Most of them joined yesterday and just want to sell you some garbage.

this is so toxic it eaing your soul
Transformer bros...i betrayed you...hope i still have time to finish Devastator...
>>
>>11594978
Not gonna lie collecting isn't any better here. Scalpers are still a problem with some releases, QC is still inconsistent especially after the omega prime fiasco and the prices have yet again went up. Like 45+ Dollars for a voyager at retail price? 80+ dollars for a trailer-less ss86 prime with a megatron arm? Any more increased price hikes after this and I'm for sure to tap out.
>>
>>11594981
I've been collecting transformers in a long time.
Just saying that i left it for Pokemon for a while.

I was trying to say that owning a physical thing like SS86 Swoop feels so much better than a pokemon card of the same value.

And the community is a constant "YOU ARE POOR! NO +YOU+ ARE POOR LOOK AT MY CARD. HAHA YOU BOTH ARE POOR LOOK AT WHAT I GOT!!!"
what a bunch of fucking normie clowns.

at least tf-community is still just nerds collecting toys
>>
>>11594967
oh okay. thank you! I probably won't bother. apps are not my cup of tea, but good to know. I mean maybe I will and I'll get sky byte for cheap.. or something.
>>11594978
yeahhhh the thing about cards is.. they need to be cheap, to be worth it. like real cheap. How much do booster packs go for these days?
I really miss POGs and I occasionally want to go collect more, but they're not as cheap as you'd hope.
>>
>>11594983
Don't forget the SJW demanding queer representation like the bon binary owl
>>
>>11594983
That's funny, I just ordered an 86 swoop off ebay just yesterday. But I agree, at least the community doesn't have dick measuring contests with their collections, it's all just genuine fun.
>>
Can someone explain to me why voyager got such a crazy price hike compared to deluxe and leaders? 8 dollars is crazy when deluxe wenr up by 3 and leaders by 5. Do voyayers sell that well?
>>
>>11594986
>yeahhhh the thing about cards is.. they need to be cheap, to be worth it. like real cheap. How much do booster packs go for these days?
>I really miss POGs and I occasionally want to go collect more, but they're not as cheap as you'd hope.
I do have a card that costs $600 (i just pulled it from a booster that was $5). Stuff like this keep me in pokemon.
Pokemon is all about money and gambling and it just fills your soul with junk.
So many people in Pokemon community became investors and trying to get rich quick. Pokemon is now a shitty NFT-market only people switched from digital NFTs to physical cards. Lots of crypto-bros moved to pokemon.

It's like this He-Man lesson: https://youtu.be/yJb646u5hno
Man...so many years have passed and He-Man still speaks the truth.

Just be a sane man and do it the right way. Have a healthy hobby (like transformers, lol) and do your job.

I used to own Botcon 2013 Screamer. It was the RotF Terradive mold in a luscious black with hints of green. A decade ago you could have gotten it for around $50, but now good luck even coming across a listing! Of my previous collection it's the one I miss most.

I hope elon buys Hasbro. I'm so sick of their bs and greed.
They wanted Takara out of the way for years. Finally get it, fuck over their funding for projects, raise prices on everything, give you less product for your money, raise prices again, use cheap factory from Vietnam and Singapore, use shit plastic, use cheaper paints, lie to customers over bs like selects, pull the ultimate crap with haslab and claim stores wouldn't stock a product yet are happy to release endless trash movie Bumblebee figures.
They claim they have money issues yet somehow have funding for trash lines which dont sell, waste time energy and money on awful shows with prowl saying he thinks the fat ugly black tranny is brave and how he himself is non binary.
There gona be charging $200 for a deluxe by 2028

Seaspray is mixed feelings. He definitely feels like they tried to overcomplicate a simple design to justify the price point (the most blatant is probably how his boatshoes fold in on themselves). He feels less ... solid than others and might have benefited from tiny wheels so he move around on flat surfaces like other . His robot mode is pretty good at being Seaspray and I like his colors. I feel like the Sideways I got in the same order was the better toy for the price.
Also that might be a problem with toys in general, but the card part of his packaging is far too large for the actual toy.
