"Welcome to Derry" drops this month and there's a trio of Pennywise figures for the show.

Standard Ultimate Pennywise
>>
>>11596161
Bob Gray as Pennywise the Dancing Clown
>>
>>11596166
And another 18" scale "Derry" Pennywise.

...which I should mention, Nerdzoic just got a ton of the 18" figures in stock if you collect that scale.
>>
Halloween Resurrection Michael Myers

Ben Cooper wave 11, the TMNT wave. Currently up for preorder.

Does anyone have the original 18" figure?
>>

I love this one. The faces look amazing, and I'm kind of loving the weird stage props. Definitely gives the character more to do than just be a gorey monster.
>>
They're making a Metaluna Mutant? Sounds sick.

Don't know. The show does follow a black family that moves into Derry (Mike's grandfather as a kid? Not sure), so maybe it's his father that gets killed.

i stopped carrying about action figures like a year ago or so. went to check out the figures while i was in walmart and saw an entire shelf of 25 dollar neca figures. was like woah wtf. checked each one out. couldn't be bothered though. they all looked like they were cheap pieces of shit. the gargoyles were the most temping thing though. a couple of them were actually kinda cool and seemed like it was worth it for 25 bucks. still passed though.

>>
>>11597282
I asked Randy about making mst3k and avgn and he said neither is popular enough to consider making figures of, that was like 2014 though
>>
>>11597286

The problem is that Disney doesn't play ball with those licenses, which is why we keep getting modern garbage like Romulus shit and the Feral instead of updated stuff from the older movies.

Watched Cat’s Eye last night for the first time in forever and NECA really needs to do a figure for the troll. Obviously they’d have to scale it up like they did with the Puppet Master figures, but the SFX for that troll are amazing and still hold up really well. Bonus points if it comes with General.
>>
>>11597282
What about characters from the movies they watched? I can't imagine the licensing rights would be too difficult.

>Rausdower
>Krankor
>Horror at Party Beach monster
>Trumpy
>Creepy-Girl
>The Neptunian leader/record-guy from 'Invasion of the Neptune Men'

Not to mention the various cosplay versions of the bots. Also Mike the Were-Crow.

>>
>>11598853
I dunno, he's kind of transcending the movies already and becoming his own Freddy Krueger and Jason style celebrity.
>>
>>11598853
I don't collect much of the horror shit except Alien and AAWIL, but this is a weird place to draw the line. Freddy Krueger is a child murderer. Leatherface was based on Ed Gein. Jigsaw tortured people. The Firefly family raped and murdered cheerleaders. Hannibal Lecter is a cannibal. Even the Xenomorph is a murderous rape monster. I can understand not wanting some of this on your shelf, but suddenly deciding Art is where the line in the sand needs to be drawn after NECA have been making horror shit for decades seems weird.
>>
>>11598957
This. They're all killers, they take life, we just watch with glee. There's no moral ground to it, it's fantasy fun.

maybe its because i think some of those movies are genuinely good that happen to be full if violence while terrifier is just torture porn. idk, those movies rubbed me the wrong way, especially 3.
>>
>>11599500
Gotta love how my Walmart is just fucking Funko Pops
>>
>>11598587
I’m hoping they do an ultimate for all my favorite obscure Universal characters. I’ve been waiting for a few years and I will continue to be patient.
>>
>>11599690
Whom are you wanting?
>>
>>11599716
I’m hoping for Dracula’s Daughter. She gets shafted all the time, but I think it’s a great movie.
>>
>>11598957
I think the difference is Terrifier insists upon itself and comes off as a high budget snuff film in equal measure. It's like someone thought: "what if Hostel, but with an identifiable mascot character?"
>>
>>11596795
>>11596875
Now I just need to track down the Bride and my Universal Monsters will be complete!
>>
>>11597282
I'm honestly surprised there isn't more MST3K merchandise in general, NECA or otherwise. I know it's kind of a niche show, but it's not THAT niche, especially not nowadays. Even fucking Funko only made Pops of Crow and Servo. WTF.
>>
>>11597690
>>11597695
Is this the same Randy that was constantly saying stupid shit about the Godzilla line back when they had the rights to Godzilla? He might just not be familiar with MST3K (or at least familiar enough) and is/was talking out of his ass.
>>
>>11598247
Would Torgo and the Master be public domain? I can't imagine anyone has bothered keeping up the copyrights to the movie, considering the embarrassment it caused them all.
>>
>>11599960
Or, you know, you're full of shit yourself. Nobody was saying "stupid shit" about the Godzilla license you nutjob.
>>
>>11599963
Really? So he didn't say "we're making King Ghidorah" and then followed it up with "I never said we're making King Ghidorah"? Okay, cool.
>>
>>11599959
I actually had the Pops at one point, the only Pops I ever owned specifically since they were the only "figures" ever released, but I sold them with the prices of both of them hit like $50 each. I liked them, but I wasn't that into them.

I'm not sure what another toy maker could even do. The robots are the best part of MST3K, and they would functionally have no, or almost no articulation.
>>
>>11599894
it comes off to me as genuinely mean spirited and just rubs me the wrong way. i liked the grime and humor in the first one, the absolute insane fantasy shit in the second one, and almost walked out of the third. it made me kinda reflect back on the other ones and desu i think the second art pulled a gun is when it really put a bad taste in my mouth.
>>
>>11600033
>I'm not sure what another toy maker could even do.
Well, like >>11597282 said, they could make all the hosts and Mads (other Mad-related characters not mentioned in the list: Gerry and Sylvia, Dr. Peanut, the other two Observers, Ardy (and his dog), Dr. Donna St. Phibes, and the Boneheads) and not just the Bots.

As >>11598247 suggested, they could make some of the more notable characters from the movies they watched, assuming they're not a legal nightmare. Plus playsets (Comedy Central SoL, Sci-Fi Channel SoL, MST3KTM SoL, Deep 13, Deep Ape, Castle Forrester, Moon 13). Oh, and Timmy. Easy Crow repaint/reuse.

Also, if they wanted to go the route of some companies who make actual life-sized Good Guy dolls of Chucky and Tiffany, they could go big and make actual proper puppets of Crow and Servo and maybe M. Waverly. Gypsy and Growler would probably be too big. Maybe make a lamp or projector or something of Cambot in his Mike-era floating ball form?
>>
>>11600067
I guess, but some of those are really deep cuts (its been so long that I only vaguely remember some of those, and outright don't remember some of the others.) from a show that was already kinda niche some 30-35 years ago, and has basically been forgotten by many of those same people who probably don't even know that it became even more niche after the show "ended" like 20 years or more ago.

If anyone makes figures, I can see it being Crow, Tom Servo, Joel, Mike, and MAYBE Forrester/Frank and Pearl/Bobo/Brain Guy.

I can even see them just doing Joel and Mike, and pairing them each with Tom Serve and Crow for a total of 2 actual products released.

>Terrifier insists upon itself
Motherfucker
>what if Hostel, but with an identifiable mascot character?
Ok, I understand. It's not the severity of the acts of violence, but the gratuitousness of it. Hostel was my line in the sand for torture porn. Loved Saw, it actually felt like it has a story to tell and the violence was a result of it, but Hostel felt like it was the other way around.
>>11600056

Saw it at Walmart, hemmed and hawwed, but got Art in the end. Never seen Terrifier, probably never will, but I cannot deny this is a really expressive figure. NECA did a good job on him. The lanky nature of the character allows for a good bit of movement under the rubber overlay. And God all those accessories! I have to decide how to display him.

Had to heat up the knees and hands a bit, but he moved quite well outta the box. The face swap is nice and easy. NECA switching to face plates has been great.
>>
>>11600575
The violence in T2 catapulted it to mainstream but his design is really the core of why it's been successful. The director Leone was an SFX guy, they know how to make great characters. Same thing with Wishmaster (which we should also get a figure for)

>>
>>11603605
Agreed, but don't you think that at least Nancy and Sidney are iconic enough to give them a try? Freddy Krueger especially, has so many accessories that rely on interaction with other characters and no way to use them. It's frustrating really.
>>
>>11603631
They would at least have the benefit of reuse, since they're all girls wearing pants. Kirsty from Hellraiser, Sally from TCM, etc. I mean they already made them for Sheryl from Evil Dead.
>>
>>11603597
I saw a smaller figure of her on that displayer at Walmart. I don't know who made it though. I could see it happening.
>>
>>11603533
i don't know what boogeyman are you refering dude but it's a real question i have seen them using the same ugly articulations from a decade ago, not even the torso can move in their figures, is there any reason why they haven't updated it yet?
>>
>>11604124
Uh-huh. It's standard articulation, the torsos can move on their figures. Why are you here when you clearly have no experience with the toys?
>>

It sells. And I personally don't want to sacrifice scuplt for articulation like some Yamafaggot where you can't even see the figure because of the joints.

Well this is a surprise, they're doing a pre-order for the 8-Bit Video Game Jason! After all this time it's getting a re-release.

It's got the hinged hands, so this is the updated body too. Nice. I wonder if they'll try to get the video game colors Toony Terrors Jason out finally. I know that got gummed up with the game color Freddy when the licensing went wonky.

>>
>>11605110

The white eyes aren’t accurate. Should just be plain purple.
>>
>>11605309
So Elmo is definitely on the table as we’ve always said.
>>
>>11605382
nta but good job. I can't afford many figs so have to be selective, but probably gonna order the Bunsen and Beaker pack. some cool others in there though.
>>
>>11605272
Are they white? I haven't checked mine in a while but wasn't the original yellow?
>>
>>11605312
Nope, won't be happening.
>>
>>11605281
I mean the color scheme is whatever they want it to be. And I think the white eyes this time around is a good move, adds just enough of a color contrast to the face. It'll look especially cool popping out behind the mask.

And people can still feel like their original figures are special. Or if you're really butthurt, you can do a head swap really easily if you want the new articulation on the bod.
>>
>>11605430
Images I've seen of the original had the eyes the same purple as the head. I've never actually played the game, does his mask even come off in it to see his eyes?
>>
>>11605727
No, you can just barely see sprite pupils on the mask. I think they're purple on the sprite itself, but for a figure where you CAN remove the mask, the white makes more sense to actually show up in the eye holes. Otherwise it all just blends together. Unless you do light up eyes.
>>
>>11605979

>>
>>11606017
How the hell is Elmo a line killer?
>>
>>11606209
He's not. Blokees, Carbotix, and Nendo Elmos are either close to selling out or have sold out in many places. Here's how he's going at HLJ.
https://www.hlj.com/search/?q=*&productFilter=series%3ASesame%20Street
Not sure about how well the ReAction is selling, but they announced that the line will be continuing earlier this year around the same time that the wave with Elmo shipped.
The anon you replied to has a weird grudge against Elmo. I think he must have been one of Kevin Clash's victims for him to seethe about Elmo that much.

>>11606312
Elmo does not sell, and there's not going to be an Ultimate, so you can fuck off and die.

>>11606312
Man, thank goodness you're not making the decisions for any successful toy lines.
>>
>>11606365
At least I don't have anything as embarrassing as Disney's Dinosaurs on my resume. I can run toylines to be successful enough to last more than 3 waves instead of being quietly dropped after 3 figures.

>I can run toylines to be successful enough to last more than 3 waves
Not by going with shit like Elmo you can't. You've already failed.
>>
>>11606442
NECA isn't making an Elmo, so there's really no reason to keep shitposting about it like you do. Elmo does not sell, and the Sesame Street line is actually doing well without Elmo. Suck it.
>>
>>11606576
Sorry, but you're wrong. This isn't the 90s anymore. Nobody wants Elmo, let alone in the Ultimates line. They're not doing Elmo.
>>
>>11606463
>Elmo does not sell
There are only 11 Nendoroid Elmos, 3 Carbotix Elmos and 17 Funko Pop Elmos left in stock on BBTS. And judging by it's position in the listings, there are between 24 and 37 Super7 Reaction Elmos left in stock.
https://www.bigbadtoystore.com/Search?SearchText=Elmo
Apparently he does sell, even when made by companies as terrible as Funko and Super7. This is how I know a NECA Ultimate Elmo will sell very well.
>>11606586
>This isn't the 90s anymore. Nobody wants Elmo
He is still one of the most popular characters to this day.
https://www.weareteachers.com/sesame-street-characters/
But let me guess, you hate children and thought the sample size for that survey was too small, right? It's not even restricted to little kids liking him. He was the second most popular character among adults surveyed in 2019.
https://www.statista.com/statistics/1073642/favorite-sesame-street-character-us/
This article compiled results from several polls and averaged it out, and Elmo was ranked third.
https://247wallst.com/special-report/2019/11/19/the-most-popular-characters-in-sesame-streets-history/
Elmo is popular. Continue to be old man yelling at cloud.
>>
>>11606609
You better buy one of those then, cause it's not happening in the Ultimates line. Elmo is not a wanted character.
>>
>>11606629
Sorry, I have other characters that are my faves, like Cookie Monster, Two-headed Monster, and the Martians. But just because I like them doesn't blind me to the fact that Elmo is a consistently popular character that is in high demand. I can like other characters without seething about Elmo's existence and the fact that people do want him. You should try it.

Please take your meds, because eventually you agree going to have to deal with reality.
>>
>>11606846
An outdated poll that has no bearing on the Sesame Street line. Deal with it loser.
>>
>>11606849
So post a more recent poll that proves Elmo isn't a popular character.
>>
>>11606851
That's cool, still not getting an Ultimates figure. Thank God they're ignoring him outright to do better characters four waves in.
>>
>>11607200
Unironically yes. Actual fans of Sesame Street want them.
>>
>>11606965
They are clearly saving some of the popular characters for later, which is why we haven't seen Cookie Monster or Grover either. Can't have all of the heavy hitters front loading the line, or it will die before we get obscuros like Fenwick.
And speaking of more obscure monsters, why isn't Frazzle in the Toyark NYCC gallery at the top of the thread? Was he an accidental leak that NECA put on display prematurely?
>>
>>11607231
I'm sorry that you're so out of touch that you don't know what actual fans want out of the line.
>>
>>11607258
This. Same with Wolf Predator.
>>
>>11607271
Abby premiered in 2006, so he's technically in the clear. He definitely didn't grow up with Sherlock Hemlock though.
>>
>>11607266
No, you're just an autist that would run a line right into the ground because you want to push this Elmo BS.
>>
>>11607269
They can't make Godzilla figures because Playmates got the license, and they let them get it so they could keep making TMNT figures, dumbass. And Tempestra's coming, they've already teased her arcade cabinet. They already confirmed Wolf was coming still at Toy Fair. They have to do what Disney wants first, which is push the new shit. Use your brain, christ.
>>
>>11607395
I'm the one saying that an Elmo figures will sell because he's a popular character.
I don't think he will get a figure by wave 6 since NECA rarely put out more than two figures per wave in any line except TMNT.
>>
>>11607394
There's no failure going on, just insane ranting coming from a retard, you.
>>
>>11607392
Disney owns Predator you illiterate moron.
>>
>>11607393
Hiya isn't sold in major retail stores. You do know that's how that works right?
>>
>>11607414
None of those lines were run into the ground. But putting out an Elmo that nobody wants certainly would do it.
>>
>>11607416
Keep making up shit. Elmo isn't coming to the Ultimates line.
>>
>>11607420
Which has nothing to do with anything. Go be off topic somewhere else.
>>
>>11607425
Polls for children have nothing to do with sales of collector figures. Just keep living your life being wrong all the time.
>>
>>11606825
If anything, Elmo has gotten even more popular in the last couple of years ever since people discovered the running joke with Rocco, plus the Twitter incident.
>>
>>11607452
Yes, because Larry David decided to try and be funny before actually having a joke in mind.
>>
>>11607448
>The lack of self awareness is astounding.
Yeah you need to do something about that. You look like a spaz.
>>
>>11607458
>you need to do something about that
I can't do anything about your lack of self awareness except point out when you are being a tard, like how I pointed out that I posted an adult poll while you cried that children's poll mean nothing because they aren't buying the NECA line. Your strawman arguments go well with your hypocrisy and no true Scotsman fallacies.
Now would you like to post any proof that Elmo isn't popular among adults fans of the show? I'm guessing not, because you are a liar and have no proof to back up your ridiculous claims.
>>
>>11607478
I love that they're never going to make an Ultimate Elmo and that it pisses you off so badly.
>>
>>11607513
The lore is that you're a shitposter
>>
>>11607511
I don't get pissed off over such minor trivialities. I'm not even pissed off that NECA will never make Griff because they completely ran the Gargoyles line into the ground, and I really wanted Griff. There are Star Wars characters I want that Hasbro still haven't touched after 20 years and it doesn't piss me off. You'd have to be mentally ill to get pissed off over a toy existing or not.
I love that they will make an Elmo because he's a popular character, and when they do you'll change your tune like you did with April O'Noggin when you went from "Her head isn't too big" to "well, it was the factory's fault."
Now post proof that Elmo isn't popular among adults fans.
>>
>>11607524
>they completely ran the Gargoyles line into the ground
They didn't. They got the entire main clan out plus villain in two styles, and Eliza. It's a pretty fucking successful toyline. One that other lines wish they could get to.
>>
So no new licenses? Neca is slipping.
>>
NECA Store exclusive 1/4th scale Art. I think this might be the newest 18" figure they've done, right? Well, this and Superman. That's awesome.

Goes up 10-28 on the store. Around 2pmEST.
>>
Guys, what is your NECA pet peeve?

Can be something minor or something major. No company is perfect, so I'm interested to hear yours.

I only have two off the top of my head.

My first is with the Creature from the Black Lagoon. the color version. They gave the creature blue eyes. I have no idea why they chose to do this since every other form of official merchandise or images, even from Universal, show the creature has yellow eyes. Even one of the official posters, the one that NECA used for the Black and White version of the figure, shows the creature has yellow eyes.

I'm honestly not sure where they got the idea that the creature has blue eyes. Maybe they're basing it on the standard poster that they used for the figure itself (although this in itself is an issue because the eye color in the original poster is not very distinct. it blends in a lot with the skin. If anything, they eyes look white on the original poster.

And my other gripe is with the Bride of Frankenstein figure. It's a small gripe. ...They did not include peg holes on the bottom of her feet. This makes her a pain to stand properly. She's the figure that most frequently likes to fall over in my collection

Terrifier fans eatin' good
>>
>>11608222
Well my Keno on Scooter fell out of my cabinet while I was taking stuff out for a picture, and despite catching it the goddamn delivery box broke one of the hinges in the back. That little fucker wobbles too easily, I almost want to put the bike away because of how volatile it is.

wow, that was fast.
>>
>>11608410
Not really. It's Wal-Mart. One store will put shit on clearance just because.
>>
>>11608416
it was on shelves for less than a month. that is quick. you don't have to make excuses for everything you weirdo.
>>
>>11608421
That isn't quick. Not for Walmart. They've put brand new stock of things straight to clearance before. It's nothing new. It's not making excuses for anything, it's literally just Walmart being Walmart.
>>
>>11608430
less than a month is objectively quick. that walmart also takes forever to ever put anything on clearance. i assure you i understand my local store better than you do.
>>
>>11608432
It isn't quick. At all. I got the Black Series ROTS packaging Dooku on clearance the minute it was released and hit that store. It's Walmart doing weird Walmart shit. You don't seem to understand jack shit.
>>
>>11608437
100mph isn't slow just because 101mph is faster. you are a weird freak. why are you being a weird freak about this
>>
>>11608437
I remember when walmarts were putting the Dr. Strange MLs on clearance some time ago and they had just come out.

Seeing my Targets stock blind box Chucky and the toony Art the Clown. And the Other Father doll, if you're into that.
>>
>>11608663
Who the hell buys this???
$35 for niche figures
Random plush on the bottom
Shit blind bags
>>
>>11608674
Tons of people, otherwise they wouldn't be stocked. Those plushes sell like crazy though, especially in college towns.
>>
>>11608663
Oh shit, the Jack Skellington is out? I gotta get on that.
>>
>>11608212
So they're doing two versions. The Bloody Version is the one that's exclusive to the NECA store, clean Art will be at the usuals. Different weapons for each.
>>
>>11609131
>only side eye options
>>
>>11609237
Fitting for the character at least
>>
>>11609131
The look of Art in the first short is still way better than this tryhard face. There's something way more unnerving about a person with a normal face dressed as a clown than a monster man.

My NECA preorder list is now empty except for the classic Munsters. Waiting for more Sesame Street pre-orders. Curious to see what 2026 brings.
>>
>>11609249
I wonder if they have the rights to do proto-Art? It was the same guy right? That'd be kinda neat.
>>
>>11609630
I doubt it, they might do Art from the final segment though.
>>
>>11609630
IIRC the guy from the first 2 shorts is a different actor than the guy from the Terrifier movies, so they might need to negotiate additional likeness rights assuming they even care to try and replicate his actual face instead of just something inspired by it.
>>
Huh, is this the gargoyle from Predator 2?
>>
>>11610077
for sure. if they sell this thing and it isn't an overpriced hunk of resin im all over it
>>
>>11610077
I'm very curious about this. If it's just a display piece, that's cool and all, but I wonder if they'll do a new City Hunter to go with it?
>>
>>11610331
If it's not just the gargoyle, then I can only assume a 3.0 City Hunter? Or....maybe props?
>>
>>11610353
Possibly City Hunter but in the Movie Poster series.

Are the series 8 Ben Cooper figures being shipped separately? I had only spotted Predator at both Target and Walmart for about two weeks now, but found Garfield randomly at Target today. But Alf and Pee Wee are still nowhere to be found. I noticed the series 9 figures popped up a bit sporadically as well but that was during their toy reset and the whole line appeared over the course of a few days so I just assumed it was getting worked out of the back in parts. Also still not sure why wave 8 is showing up after wave 9 but I'll take it. Only thing I can assume is because they wanted the 9 horror guys out for Halloween and the more classic celeb/character type figures out for Christmas.
>>
>>11610384
Yep, I think that's it. The background of the tease is the same as the movie poster.

That would be underwhelming. With Predator Badlands nearly released, I was hoping they might show off a tease or Dek's father.
>>
>>11610414
Oooh, that'll look really cool though!

>>11610409
Yeah the Cooper kids seem to get shipped out separately and in weird ratios. Ah well. I think Wave 8 showing up after the fact was because of some factory time shifting. Where they were able to start on one earlier than the other and get them on the water sooner.
>>
>>11610384
ewwwwwwwww
>>
>>11610414
>That would be underwhelming. With Predator Badlands nearly released, I was hoping they might show off a tease or Dek's father.
you will not get a neca figure until 6-12 months after the film has hit theaters
>>
>>11610579
Good, then it won't be based on concept art and early set photos. Figures that come out before a movie hit always have that risk.
>>
>>11610579
Yeah you're right about that. Fuck I miss the days when a Predator series had 3 different figures.
>>
More blind box Chucky comin'
>>
>>11604129
ok mr necashill
>>11604129
i mean they don't have to go to that extreme but they could at least try to improve it a little. I guess it helps that the characters they make figures of, at least from horror movies, don't have poses as dynamic as spiderman or any anime character.
>>
>>11610983
Basic information is shilling now huh? Be more of an obvious troll.
>>
>>11610524
Is this in order of appearance? Because if so I had no idea Baby Bear came before either Zoe or Rosita.
>>
>>11611350
Baby Bear and Rosita both premiered in 1991, but BB beat her by a few episodes. Zoe was in 1993.
