Got it done earlier than I thought I would. For the record I'm not the long neck April troll. I used Rainbow Elvira for the body and didn't realize she'd be an inch taller than April. The movie version looks even worse. I tried, personally I think she looks pretty good. I've also got the new pet turtle playset if anyone wants pics of that.
>>
>>11596978
Yeah, the Elvira figures are in the retro cloth line that are 8 inches tall
Nice job anon, looks good
>>
The Lingjihun/Mety Turtles look really good. I never ordered them because I was unsure of the steroided out look (particularly the gut). But these look awesome. This is the event exclusive versions, Samurai Raph and Ronin Mikey. They can be stripped down a lot to kind of get the idea of what the normal turtles will look like.
>>
>>11597093
I kind of regret not getting them when they were kind of cheap on AliExpress after discounts, but oh well I'm sure there's another set of cool turtles coming out as usual.
>>
>>11597094
Looks like they can move even with a bunch of that shit on so the normal versions should be even better.
>>
You should add the TMNT/Godzilla figures to the list.
>>

Depends on what is reasonable to you. The Samurai/Ronin ones are Shanghai Wonderfest 2025 exclusives, so you could only get them there.

For the regular ones, on AE as a set of 4 it would come out to under $90 USD after shipping and discounts. Can't remember the exact price.

Now, if you space out when you order (so you're able to use multiple discount codes) you can buy them as a set of 2 so they come out to just under $100 USD a piece. YMMV, because I'm pretty sure USA gets better shipping and deals than here in Canada.

This company's figures are known to be amazing, and they're packed out with accessories so might still be worth. For example, they all come with multiple pizza slices and Donny has 2 different bows (one basic and "techier" metal version like in the pic). They're also pretty big, 16-17 cm tall (different heights each). But there are a million different turtles coming out all the time, so there's never really a lack of cool turtles coming out. For example, HeatBoys are coming out with regular turtles too.
>>
>>11597395
Thanks for the detailed explanation! Yeah that samurai Ralph is the one I would of wanted. I got so many sets of the 4 turtles but now I think I might just collect my favorite Raph. So that would of been a nice start. All 4 together do look amazing.

>Shitty image in the OP
Lots of threads have OC made by anons for the OP image. I'd rather see OC than some shit scraped directly from NECA's Instagram. It would help foster a community in these threads and give them some personality instead of the thread feeling like a bland extension of corporate dominated social media.
>>

>help foster a community in these threads
>uses bait and shitpost images meant to antagonize people
Pretty obvious how disingenuous this post is already, but bro, c'mon. Could you be more transparent?
>>
>>11597889
MOTU general had an OP image a while back that made fun of all the Snakemen fans, and they didn't lose their shit or piss and moan about it. As a Snakefag, I thought it was funny. If an image 'antagonizes" you, you are an insecure bitch that needs to be medicated.
>>
>>11597898
That isn't the same thing at all. You trying to justify a troll OP, one that doesn't even update information, is pretty damn pathetic.
>>
>>11597889
It's the obvious Mutant Mayhem troll poster that has done bait posts in that style before.
>>
>>11597899
It's the same fag that does those lazy DC threads that clog up the board
>>
>>11597899
Making fun of the fact that so many Turtles fans will buy literal shit like those acne scarred Playmates remastered things is no different to making fun of a subsection of the community that likes something that another part of the community doesn't like. You are only mad because you like eating shit and feel called out. And I didn't comment on him not updating the info because that's standard for this thread. We had the Haulathon shit like Panda Khan and Tattoo/Wyrm listed in it for almost 5 months.
>>
>>11597906
Wow, really building up that "community" bud. Totally sincere attempt there. Also that Haulathon "shit" was still in stores and current to grab. That's the point you nitwit.
>>
>>11597911
>Also that Haulathon "shit" was still in stores and current to grab.
Weird how the Super7 2k3 shit didn't stay in the OP for 5 months despite being "current to grab."
>>
>>11597906
>Making fun of the fact that so many Turtles fans
A lot of people are taking it to mean attacking the action figure hobby as a whole. Which, fair point, valid argument, but not the place for it. It's different than specifically complaining about Snakeman fans or whatever in a He Man thread. There's a time and a place.
>>
>>11597926
Nobody is buying Super7, that's the big difference.
>>
>>11597939
Nobody was buying Creepy Eddie and Shibano Sama, or Dark Leo, so there was no difference. In fact, I've seen more people post their 2k3 shit than those 3 figures, and that's not even counting the Reddit reposts. One anon posted Dark Leo, and I don't think anybody posted those other 2 D-lister shits.
>>
>>11597939
Wasn't the last time anyone talked about those figures just some nutter that took the pictures and post from Twitter or Reddit?

I mean, nothing about this shot makes sense in terms of perspective, but taking it at face value, streex/blades is still easily seven feet tall. are the IDW turtles way taller than usual? Or are they the typical five-foot-not-much shrimps. because they have TINY fucking heads, so I gotta think they're at least 2003 turtles size.
>>
>>11598162
not if you take the tilt of the shot into account, and the fact that he's way in back.
>>
>>11598168
if the ground were level with the horizon, yeah. but in this case it's tilted heavily back, so he's elevated up considerably.. he also appears to be kind of up on the curb but it's hard to see.

>>11600897
The 4 main turtles are pretty nice
>>
>>11600897
nice. the super7s are definitely awesome, and now that they're so discounted, it should be possible for people to catch up
but keep in mind.. they do have pretty bad QC and are liable to break, so the supply might not last that long.
>>
>>11600915
I think the QC was less about breakage and more about those terribly designed loose hips. You need to make sure the pose balances the center well otherwise they kinda slide around.
>>
>>11600916
design mistakes are not QC mistakes, but you're right about those hips. they could get a damn product tie-in with floor polish with how much you gotta tighten those up.
I had about three or four of them just snap at the knee or foot, or in the case of samurai leo, the head just was clearly not actually meant to be replaced, and the new head snapped the neck peg. plus his sandal fell off. yknow everybody has been really good about replacements. And in the case of Metalhead Michelangelo, the issue was a backpack with two left straps. All of those could have been caught by QC, but the hips thing .. that was just a bad choice, compounded by the weird use of an inner pelvis piece allowing for waist swivel under a shell (what?)
>>
>>11600921
oh right, and said metalhead mike also had one completely stuck elbow. like I could SEE that the plastic was flexing at the joint peg and not turning in the hinge, so if I kept it up it would just snap. Never seen such a stick. so I felt fine sending the entire thing back and rolling the die again. Next one was fine.

I'm gonna hold off on McFarlane Page Punchers foot ninja until I can get a confirmation on whether or not they scale with the Loyal Subjects figures I already have. It looks like they're probably going to be closer to 5" scale than 1/12, and the Loyal Subjects figures were close to Marvel Legends scale. The turtles look like they'll be similar size but in true McFarlane fashion, the idea of scaling figures around each other is non-existent. The Loyal Subjects Shredder towers over the turtles and he's the same height as a classified GI Joe, so that does not bode well for the foot ninja. They also have less articulation.

Almost nothing alike aside from the general design concept. Archie Slash is leaner, and smaller than Super7 Slash but he's got height on the toon turtles. I actually feel a little dumb lately for going all in on the TMNT figures when super7 is basically over, buuuut the movie ones are still tits mcgee, even if they still haven't made my favorite movie character in his best form.

the one I really feel dumb for supporting is Gargoyles.
>>
>>11608328
>the one I really feel dumb for supporting is Gargoyles.
nta haven't you gotten pretty much the whole cast?
>>
>>11608339
I guess, if you look at it that way. but we A) never got folded wings for everyone, B) never got what we should have gotten in the first place: wings where the arms are held up high and the fingers point down, C) got kind of iffy but acceptable sculpts, and D) come on, I gotta have the Pack. even though doing them properly would be at least like 18 figures all by themselves.

If Coldstone actually comes out, that will be fine I guess. though Weisman's iffy new comics are trying their best to assassinate his character.
>>
>>11608328
Why? It's like the full cast and they look awesome
>>
also I paid full price to send a message that there's SUPPORT for this, and they apparently rewarded that with trying to get me to buy the same figures multiple times to get all the stuff, and then cut the line off. Thanks guys.
>>
>>11608339
The main cast? Yeah, but would you be happy if you only got the four turtles, Splinter, April, Shredder, Krang and a Foot Soldier before the line was shitcanned? Because that's the equivalent of what Gargoyles got.
>>
>>11608368

On no, one figure! You poor baby. It's not like it comes with a bunch of extra accessories and a new head and is based on a specific episode...oh how horrible!
>>
>>11608372
there was a guy working on it, but his designs were undersized, and he was only doing Goliath, and I'm pretty sure he's stopped, and it would cost like 40 bucks per figure to get that.
It's really really hard to 3d print huge and thin wings. The neca figures use styrene for lightness and strength and it works a treat, but there's still been breakages at the hinges.
>>11608369
agreed, I know I shouldn't expect the moon. Really, what we got is more like
>the 4 turtles, casey, april, splinter, mona lisa, shredder, supershredder, and uhh irma.

>>
>>11608384
if you wait for the 2-pack, you don't get their normal wings. you see the issue here?
>do you really need it?
As props go, it's huge. Goliath comes with the Grimorum Arcanorum, and this is part of the same trio of items. this would be like if you had to buy redundant transformers to get the Golden Disk (which is ALMOST true, ugh. but I got mine.)
>>
>>11608387
There's no issue. You don't have to buy everything. You're making up problems in your head.
>>
>>11608369
>>11608372
You are missing the point, but that's to be expected. This is the toy equivalent of "how would you feel if you didn't eat breakfast this morning?"
I know there are toylines that have bigger and smaller fanbases than Gargoyles. The question is WOULD YOU BE HAPPY? He has a right to be bummed that the line ended before it got to the characters he wanted.
>>
>>11608389
that's literally how problems work, anon. Do you have trouble with that?
also I don't recall them having swappable faces before, I'm pretty sure only Demona did? if at all? and Goliath you had to pop off the entire head, so that's kinda interesting that they changed it. and the new expressions are pretty good, though none of them really looks right.
>>11608391
thank you. and it's only a minor bummer. a tiny regret as I run short of shelf space, and wish I had more money for a different collection which is currently putting stuff out. It's the first time I've ever really let myself regret a purchase since a couple of Beast Wars guys I got once just because I had money burning a hole in my pocket. Snarl fucking sucked lol.
>>
>>11608392
Oh, man... those old Beast Wars toys with the shitty ball joints?
>>
>>11608392
No prob. I understand where you are coming from.
Don't regret it. Enjoy what you got out of it. Look at it this way, if the line kept going, you'd be running out of space eventually. The toon did have a pretty big cast.
I have issues with the line, and it pisses me off that Hudson will never have his draped wings, but I'm really glad that I got the full Manhattan Clan and I like setting them up with my Mythic Legions knights attacking them, so I have no regrets. I'm saaddened that they barely got past the mains and into all the other clans and teams like the Labyrinth Clan and The Pack, but i'd probably be more pissed if Lexington had never been released.
>>
>>11608387
folded wing accessory pack would have gone a long way with the fans
>>
>>11608392
>though none of them really looks right.
Look right to me. I think you're trying to just be upset about something.
>>
>>11608375
And I missed your reply, but at least there is one person in this thread that can conceptualize without resorting to "buh muh turtles is more popular."
Gotta be honest, I'm impressed. I guarantee most people would be pissed if the line was killed before Bebop and Rocksteady were released. Honestly, I'm kind of glad that Gargoyles didn't end up with half finished teams. It would be worse if only half The Pack got figures before it was scrapped.
>>
>>11608405
nta Bebop and Rocksteady are cool and all but not essential if I could army build Foot soldiers. Baxster Stockman or some kinda third faction character would be a loss for me.
>>
>>11608395
i've heard stories about those joints loosening over time, but all of mine have held up great (maybe because I stored them in a closed box?)
But some of them were still pretty dumb toys and I should have saved my money, it's just.. back then, there was no ebay, you had to wait for a shopping trip and they had what they had
>>11608397
true! I wish we had some guarantee from Neca like "hey, sorry for the hiatus, we're gonna put gargoyles on hold for 2 more years then start anew" because my wallet would love that.
>>11608402
ehhh I mean... like I said, Broadway's cheeks were too thin until the new version came out.. most of them are just an inevitable victim of trying to add realism to 2d drawings, but there's some definitely like brow to nose proportions that aren't right, overly visible lips, overly detailed faces..
Then there's lateral changes, like changing their claws to more anatomical looking instead of just having blades for digits. i'm okay with that.

What if playmates abondons the whole remaster shit, and just makes new vintage style figures instead. The TMNT market is flooded with better articulated figures. I'd rather get vintage style figs of characters we never got, like the rest of the Punk Frogs, Tempestra, Big Louie, 90 movie Casey Jones. I'm even open to new characters or even pull from other timelines. 2003 and 2012 characters in the old vintage style and card art.
