In less exciting news, prices have increased across Hasbro products by a significant amount. Even on inventory that's currently sitting on shelves now. Will this impact your decision to continue collecting Star Wars?
>>
>>11599946
Some of these are very baffling to me.
>>
>>11599949
Not much of a reason to keep collecting with prices like this. Army building goes out the window fast, and they're going to produce even less world building and background characters.
>>
>>11599946
Why are Anbore slop pegwarmers on this every single time? Also 7 of these, Pelli, Palpatine, Krell, C-3PO, Wrecker, Faggot, and Arleil are pretty much guaranteed to come out next year.
>>
>>11599952
Which ones?
>>
>>11599966
Nothing is guaranteed in this line anymore. That's why these fan polls have to happen to begin with.

Why is the toy industry dying?
>>

>absolutely zero troopers/armybuilders
Yep, disappointed but fully expected that to be how it'd go.

>>11599949
Extremely unhappy with both hasbro and myself about the price hike on the snowtrooper 4-pack, with them for doing it and with myself for not buying a few more before it happened. It's not gonna make me quit collecting, but it's definitely gonna push me to wait for sales on things that aren't huge priorities for me, because there's no way I'd be able to afford armybuilding otherwise.
>>
>>11600043
That stinks. I think I'm pretty much done preordering anything at this point and will just wait for sales. Of course the shitty thing is that means sale prices are just going to be the old MSRP so it won't ever feel like much of a deal. Might make an exception for something like the rumored Cantina 4-pack but definitely won't be bothering with single carded releases or the army builder sets.
>>
It's really funny that General Lando, Ewok Leia and Reva are still hanging around at Walmart and they're now expected to somehow sell at $27.99
>>
>>11600075
Pretty sure you can already buy all of those for less than half their retail online.
>>
>>11599949
Unironically this is the death knell of the line. Only so many whales, there's just not going to be enough attention to an already dwindling franchise.
>>
>>11599949
TBS sculpting has mostly caught up to and surpassed imports from 5-10 years ago and we are still paying below $35-$45 per figure.

$28+ isn't too bad for me but I wont put up with reused sculpts from 2013, 2014, 2015 and etc. I've also reduced my army building from 7-9 figures to just 2 (because space and change of desires).
>>
>>11599949

I'm kind of one foot out the door already, though this doesn't help. I'm down for anything EU or ROTJ related in either scale, but that's about it. Only upcoming figure that I'm actually looking forward to is Kyle.
>>
>>11599949
Eh, I've gone literal years without collecting a single Black Series figure. I will admit, this year, they released some bangers with the SotE stuff, the ANH, reissuing missing Jedi from the PT, and giving us a new Ani and Obi, but other than the new Jango (the old one is so bad) and maybe the new BoBF, I think I may be done with collecting SW stuff outside a random Clone here and there, and even then, my PT shelf is so stuffed with Clones I just have to call it a day. I've limited myself to two Army Builders per unit now due to space anyway, so army building is out for me. I already have a nice 501st squad of Clones and a good number of Stormies so I'm good there. Still, sucks. I'd hate to be just getting into collecting right now.
>>
>>11599949
Black series prices don't bother me. Like >>11600199 said the sculpting on new figures is so good that I think they are worth it. $20 for 3.75” is wack though but there's not too much left that I still want now. I packed all my TVC into a box and don't really care about displaying them anymore. I am probably only going to display the haslab gunship so will likely only get figures that can interact with that. For black series I think I’m done too though there is an ESB Boba on the yak face rumor list which I’m curious about.
>>
>>11599949
Glad I got a Luke, $15 Vader, $10 Palps and a bunch of $4.99 OT Black Series figures from Ollie's when they dropped the price. I'd say that's a fair price for an IP that will slowly now fade away. Needless to say I don't think they will produce anything more that I need.
>>
>>11599949
Can you imagine someone paying $23 for a Sequel figure? Holy shit, it's suicide.
>>
>>11599976
Kleya, Pelli. I understand wanting them but not so desperately as to be in anybody's Top 10, much less an aggregate top 12. Luthen I get because he's a great character and Saw and Baze I understand for the sake of completion. C-3PO is the most obvious on that list. He's in mine too.

I dunno man. There are so many major characters/costumes that could still use good versions or updates. I sympathize with not wanting a line that consists of nothing but main characters and troopers, but do I want Sim Aloo or Clone Trooper Ninja Turtle over a new Bespin Luke? No fucking way.
>>
>>11600532
I seriously don't know who is still buying ST stuff. Even 10 bucks is too much for most of that. If it's a cool alien design or something or a bounty hunter it might be worth better, but for the base characters...whew, why would people spend more than clearance prices?
>>
I don't know who they based that new TVC Ben Kenobi on, but it sure as shit isn't Alec Guinness, Jesus.
>>
>>11600624
There's some ST stuff I want in TVC. A decent Kylo would be nice. TROS Emperor would also be nice. I don't expect any of it, though.
>>
>>11600648
I see a lot of Guinness in it, but it's not perfect. It reminds me of the TBS sculpt.

Hasbro is watching. They are seeing how collectors use their figures--how most just A pose them on shelves. They are cutting back on articulation. You must show them you demand high articulation, or we will return to the 1980s
>>
>>11601375
I mean, to be fair, I don't need Han Solo hitting Spider-Man level poses.
>>
>>11601377
Well I do because I have an imagination.
>>
>>11601379
I mean you do you, but the vast majority of adult collectors aren't going to be playing with their toys like children do. Sorry, but it's true.
>>
>>11601377
Do you need your Han Solo to be able to bend his ankles? Then better get with the program.
>>
>>11601390
I collect Black Series, so all my Han's do have ankle rockers. Maybe don't collect a scale for babies?
>>
>>11601383
That doesn't mean they don't pose them. Even now those adult collectors are complaining because the older figures for the Cantina can't even fucking sit.
>>
>>11601394
Black Series will be phasing out ankle rockers by 2028
>>
>>11601394
Black Series is the scale for babies. They're larger so morons like you can't choke on them when you put them in your mouth.
>>
>>11600546
Kleya was surprising to me. I would like her to be made but what would she go with? If they make Luthen, then he'll likely be the same one that was made for Black Series and that wouldn't really work for her since they never interacted in the same space together when he was in that costume.

Peli was on my list so I'm glad she's there. I think she deserves to be made at this point since she fills a spot for the Razor Crest HasLab and the N-1. To me she's a glaring omission from that source alongside season 1 Greef Karga in TVC. I find it weird she's been missing from both lines for so long to be honest. Figured Black Series would at least have her by now considering they could pack her with the droids they've made too.

But yeah, it's crazy that no army builders made it this time. I'm also surprised so many people still want Qimir. Figured support for him would have fizzled out by now.
>>
>>11601474
>I'm also surprised so many people still want Qimir.
I'm not, but it's surprising that he's above characters like Kylo Ren. Part of the problem with these polls every year is that people approach them with different goals/mindsets.

The head swap for the Night Troopers looks pretty great. The only minor gripe I have, is the white of the Boba Fett Stormie heads are a much starker white compared to the off egg shell white of the Night Trooper body. I am pretty darn happy with it overall. I also like the Boba Fett figure as well. The Temuera Morrison head sculpt is scary accurate for a figure this size.

What are your guys' thoughts on who these could be? We know one of the blues is Kyle Katarn.

Best guesses, based on rumors:
Blue: Kyle
Blue: Dooku (TotJ)
Green: Quinlan Vos
Red: Eleventh Brother

Personal Wishlist:
Blue: Kyle Katarn
Blue: Juhani (KOTOR 2-pack)
Green: Jolee Bindo (KOTOR 2-pack)
Red: Dark Bastila
>>

This will fail. Everyone who collects Black Series only wants 6" and the market for Star Wars goods is already at its lowest in a long time. No way will someone be able to succeed with a 7" line when so many black series are literally at Ollie's for 4.99. Even heavy hitters that they have there are going for cheap--I bought a Boba Fett off ebay for around 14 bucks, a Vader for 8.50 at Walmart during a sale.
>>
>>11602068
I don't think new Star Wars figures get released in stores anymore, at least in my state. The only figures I see are the same old Darth Vader, Mando and a few others. And if they don't go to physical stores then they won't go to Ollie's.

Haven't seen anything Nu Wars since the awful Sequels, so I've got no real interest in any figures of the new stuff, but I picked up Neel from Ross for $8 today. He kinda gives me the vibes of being Max Rebo's little gay bastard son or something lmao. I'm surprised at how fun he is to mess with. Of all figures for them to put effort into, I wouldn't think it'd be this. Couldn't imagine paying $25+ though, sheesh.
>>
>>11602592
Skeleton Crew turned out to be far from the worst thing Disney Wars has done and Neel was the heart of the show. If they only make one more figure from that show in TVC then I hope they choose him.

>>
>>11602654
Ankles have been a problem with Black Series I've noticed. Like the damn Dark Troopers. I can't even display those fucking things anymore because they all would topple over if my cat farted. I got so sick of them dominoing the entire shelf they were on.
>>
>>11602797
I have the same issue with my Dark Trooper. I have him poster in a way that the foot joint locks at the best angle. It's only on foot too... odd, right? I learned my lesson and put him at the front of the shelf so he only hits the glass if he slumps and falls. I have this same issue with the New Republic Security Droid.
>>
>>11601799
Darth Vaders face grill is already turning me off.
McFarlane has pumped out 7in and I don't really care for that size.
>>
>>11599966
I feel like whoever runs this is fudging the results because they are such garbage choices aka stuff we prob will get.
>>
>>11602797
Its actually a problem with most of Hasbro's stuff in general. I collect way more GI Joe Classified figures than Black Series, and there's an issue with loose ankles over there too.
>>
>>11602895
I can tell you with certainty if they were fudging the results, two Andor characters would not be on there

>>
>>11603328
Representation is provided consistently in the toy aisles by Lando figures. They have representation quotas at major retailers that boys action figure and girls doll sections must consistently meet. Lando adds constency and allows stores to order new SKUs without worrying about whether they need the SKUs to be of a certain make up for them to continue to meet the quota.

Its CurrentYear and you really have to ask this stupid question? Lando is now an asset, because he's "representation" that DOESN'T have to be included in future shipments and he was purchased at much cheaper rates. Every store can now claim they are serving that community without taking in more inventory and Hasbro can get back to making assortments of better selling (not by much) characters. WM doesn't want to be accused of "racism" for clearancing out Lando.

Didn't think I was going to get TBS Han and Chewie but I'm glad I did because they are crazy good. Think this is the definitive 1/12 Chewbacca, not that there are many alternatives. The only gripe I have is the bowcaster kinda sucks. I hate that they keep making it two separate pieces because the bar thing always falls out easily. It's not as bad as on 3.75" versions though which annoy the hell out of me. Also Chewie's trigger finger weirdly sits behind the trigger and I don't think there is enough space to put it in front...

Han is great too but sometimes I can feel myself struggling against the lack of thigh swivel. On some figures no thigh swivel is not so bad because they have big ball sockets to compensate but Han does not.

But it's mostly minor things with these two imo. Recent black series figs that I've picked up like Anakin, Obi-Wan, the Sandtrooper have been fantastic and have really impressed me.

No, he's not. He fights the Empire at any cost and he's brutal and uncompromising, but that's the reality of war and oppression. To have a journey like Luke Skywalker's where you self-actualize into a better more complete person and your moral character winds up being more or less spotless at the end is exactly what George Lucas intended it to be: a fairy tale.

In a perfect world they would've made that Osha instead of the janitor one, but obviously we're nowhere near a perfect world with anything regarding this show, including hasbro's ability to make figures from it.

>>11605972
This getting single-carded before the RotS Anakin with a non-sith-eyes face feels like some kind of prosecutable crime, I'm really not sure this move makes any actual sense. Doubtful if the price is in any way based off recent history but it's possible Disney still thinks Star Wars is worth what they paid for it after they ruined it.

They did do double joints, for a long time. It's rather clearly a cost cutting measure.

>>11606335
I also get why they made him but I hope they don't go any further with that source. I know people are going to want Jecki and Kalnacca, but fuck, TVC can't sustain having pegwarmers and The Acolyte never having any other major media support is a good reason to just drop it and save the tooling dollars for something better.

I am glad they stopped those double joints with pins because they were ugly and didn't necessarily even provide more range.

>>
mr stevie, i...
>>
>>11607086
It really varies. The double joints on the old clone trooper for example were useless and only got 90. The single joints on the new Han for example get about as much as the double joints did
>>
>>11607128
This. My single jointed troopers all can kneel better than my double jointed ones. Clones and Stormies.
>>
>>11607129
The engineering really is so much better now. I think people overestimate the utility of the old double joints and underestimate the new deep cut ones. It's not that I am against doubles and shilling singles. I wouldn't mind doubles if they looked aesthetically clean and they could definitely do that now as they do with Marvel Legends. But I also can live with singles because I don't think you really need that much range for most characters. A figure having the kick it's own ass level of range is not that useful without a toe joint anyway desu
>>
>>11607021
Are the tentacles bendy and where can I buy it?
>>
>>11607129
>>11607138
Going to generally disagree with this. The Han there looks good, but the knee on the stormtrooper is just around 90 (its single elbows work nicely). And beyond just function it looks ugly, see the Boba above where the top part of the knee faces the air (knee pads especially make double joints work) and there's a huge joint facing where the knee would be. A well engineered single joint can often can articulation that's close or just as good, but it isn't like it looks so much better than it's often worth it, I think. I'd generally prefer having a double (or some of those new styles that incorporate a single with a ball) just because I also generally prefer function over form.
>>
What articulation point will Hasbro take away next that people will defend? Ab crunch? Wrist hinge?
>>
>>11607189
>Ab crunch?
I can see this. Just put a ball at the waist and they can say how cleanly they maintained the sculpt.
>>
>>11607189
They can get rid of the wrist hinge if they replace it with an actual ball joint like they did with Black Series. I'm sick of them being schizophrenic when it comes to giving lightsaber wielding characters the correct vertical hinge.

I hate the sequels to the point that after TFA, I never saw another new Star Wars movie in theaters again, but Kylo was the best part and I think something made with someone behind it that isn't JJ Abrams could have been interesting, maybe even good. But I find Disney's reason for not going through with it to be retarded. You said yes to bringing Palpatine back, but not the one character that most audiences could agree was the strongest part of the sequels? And then you go and greenlight projects the focus on Rey? Iger needs to hire someone to write better excuses for him. That being said, I don't think it's going to happen at all. Fans can put up billboards and hire planes to fly banners over Disney as much as they want, but this will all have about the same impact as the shit people did to try and get The Acolyte renewed for a second season.
>>
>>11607273
It sounds like Iger shot it down without even reading it, and probably didn't give them a full meeting. I have to imagine Driver and Soderbergh knew the first thing anyone would ask is how Ben Solo is alive and would have an answer for that, but Iger probably didn't give them an actual meeting. He probably got the script, didn't read it, turned it down for whatever business reasons, and just sent "yeah Ben Solo's dead" as the memo.

The worst part is that it's literally Leia doing it, she uses the last of her strength to give her son a hallucination that instantly turns him good again and then dies. They seriously could not think of a way to turn Kylo back to the light side except to have his mom use literal space magic to do it.
>>
>>11607379
I can't believe so many people, even those who don't like the sequels, think Kylo at least was a good character.
>I want to be le bad but… I also want to be le good?
The "reverse Vader" conflict they gave him doesn't make any sense and just makes him an edgy faggot. Why is he dark side anyway? Oh yeah because somehow our beloved OT heroes became shitty neglectful parents… Losing to untrained Mary Sue in the first movie also totally undermined him as a main villain that could be taken seriously. I guess Adam Driver's acting was good enough to fool people

>Black Series nor TVC have ab crunch. Wrist hinges have long been replaced by ball joints. Clearly you guys don't actually buy toys...

I only buy Black Series from Ollie's or deep discount on ebay so I guess I'm a little behind on what their current figures have for articulation. And by ab crunch I mean whatever ball joint they put at the ab level--meaning a waist swivel or nothing would be the articulation for the torso. Luke blowing up the death star doesn't remotely equate to him defeating Vader, he had help from his friends and the force to blow up the death star, because he couldn't have done it alone, because that's the entire central theme of the damn movie. If he had U-turned his X-Wing to go dogfight Vader instead of trusting in the force and his friends, he would've been blasted into a fine mist, which is the exact opposite of the dynamic created by Rey personally holding her own/winning in single combat with Kylo. I'm not even a huge 7 hater or whatever, your argument is just terrible.

ANH and TFA are structurally and thematically similar. Rey's victory over Kylo is actually pretty similar to how it went with Luke. She begins the fight panicked and reactive like Luke early in the trench run. When Kylo tempts her to the dark side, she closes her eyes and “lets the Force in.” That’s the moment of internal transformation, equivalent to Luke’s “Use the Force, Luke.” Both heroes are beginners who experience first contact with the Force under pressure. Both rely on community and timing, the hero isn’t alone. Rey is fighting to protect Finn and her victory is possible because Chewie had already wounded Kylo with the bowcaster. Almost like it went with Han. In both cases the protagonist’s victory depends on others’ contributions. Both films end with a first victory over evil that sets up a larger conflict. The key aesthetic difference is that Luke’s victory is externalized (blowing up a battle station) and Rey’s is internalized (a personal duel). But narratively both are expressions of the awakening of belief. The moment each protagonist steps from “ordinary person” to “Force hero.” You can dislike how the duel looks or feels in TFA but the function of that moment in the story is nearly identical to Luke’s trench run.

Luke IS actually just as much of a Mary Sue as Rey. Goes from farm boy to ace pilot in a few days. Is instantly comfortable flying an advanced military starfighter, something that should require years of training. Successfully uses the Force his first time under real pressure to hit an impossible shot. Is trusted by Rebel leadership to lead an attack despite having no combat experience. Barely understands the Force but nails a shot that veteran pilots couldn’t. Obi-Wan gives him a ten-minute lecture and suddenly he’s “one with the Force.” His victories are portrayed as destiny driven. I like the movie too but come on...

>>11607737
No, I was comparing A New Hope To Force Awakens.
>>
>>11607805
But I'm not shitting on Luke I mean. That's kinda what the mythic hero archetype is. Not realistic but idealized symbols. You see it with Hercules, King Arthur, etc. Rey just inherits this archetype in a media landscape that’s now more self aware and critical of narrative convenience.

There was plenty of other, way more retarded stuff in TFA that doesn't even make sense, like how in less than 30 years or whatever, everyone forgot Jedi even existed to the point that they were already myths no one believed, or the fact that Luke would go into hiding/exile and not want to be found, but then just leave maps to where he was at anyway.

ANH may have followed a simple formula, but it didn't have actual retarded plot points that required a lobotomy to pretend don't exist.
>>
>>11607879
>ANH may have followed a simple formula, but it didn't have actual retarded plot points
Yes it did. The Death Star’s terrible design flaw,xObi-Wan’s “certain point of view”, Obi-Wan Kenobi (a known fugitive) using his last name, the bad guys let the Millennium Falcon go and the good guys don't even check for a tracker, Stormtrooper accuracy, Luke see the charred corpses of his aunt and uncle and is just like, “Well, guess I’m going to space now.” Obi-Wan just disappears during his fight with Vader without tell Luke he was gonna do that. Scared the shit out of Luke. Tarkin’s overconfidence, Luke’s Force learning speed run... should I go on? Or, wait, lemme do ESB since you guys cherish it so much.
>>
>>11607898
Oh, forgot, The Empire wants to find the child of Anakin Skywalker. Where’s he hiding? On Anakin’s home planet. With Anakin’s stepbrother. Using the same last name.
>>
>>11607898
>xObi-Wan’s “certain point of view”
That's ROTJ, stupid
>soooooo much retardation that's literally explained in the fucking film
Put down your phone and actually watch, zoom zoom
>Luke’s Force learning speed run
Literally built up in the film and the reason Kenobi let himself die to join the Force and guide him.
Bruh. You're literally retarded.
>>
>>11607481
>Luke is just as much of a Mary Sue.
Oh, I see. Retard posting. You clearly don't understand what a Mary Sue is. Its a character that everybody in the story likes. Rey was liked by everyone, to the point even Leia snubbed Chewbacca to give a girlpower hug to a complete stranger after Han died. MEANWHILE, Luke was shit on by everybody except Kenobi. Beat up by Tusken Raiders, Beat up in the cantina, shit talked down to by Uncle Owen, Han, Leia, Dr Evazon, etc. You need to seriously shut the fuck up since you don't know how definitions work.
>>
>>11600532
Black don't sell
Then add the fact that it's a terrible sequel series.
>>
>>11607916
>That's ROTJ, stupid
Technically, but it happened in ANH. Massive lie of omision. He could’ve just said, “It’s complicated, I’ll explain later.” Instead he sets Luke up for a psychological meltdown in Empire.

>Luke’s Force learning speed run
While we're on that, how long was Luke actually training on Dagobah while they were stuck on the Falcon with no hyperdrive? Your counters are all ad hominems. I like how you assumed I'm a zoomer. I'm not. I love these films too, I just don't hold them up as some holy grail.

>the reason Kenobi let himself die to join the Force and guide him.
Which Luke has no idea he can actually do. Bro immediately starts shouting, waving his blaster around and running toward stormtroopers, putting the whole plan in danger. He couldn't have explained that plan before dying?
>>
>>11607921
A “Mary Sue” isn’t necessarily liked by everyone in universe, the defining feature is that the story itself treats them as if they’re perfect or beyond meaningful criticism. Rey isn't liked by Unkar Plutt, Han Solo (at first), fucking LUKE SKYWALKER, Poe Dameron for a bit in Rise, Leia is skeptical of her, Force ghost Yoda is basically a warning about the kind of hero Rey’s becoming. Too perfect, too fast, without understanding failure. Maz Kanata even challanges her. The perception that “everyone likes her” mostly comes from how the narrative treats her. She rarely fails for long, people come around to her quickly and the story positions her as morally and emotionally “right.”
>>
>b-but the OT was bad too!
It’s crazy how sequel shills have to resort to this every time they try to make excuses for their trilogy. If you want to hate on real Star Wars to defend fake Star Wars, just admit you never liked Star Wars and are not a real fan.

>>
>>11607111
He didn't. It's the assadin droid from the Mandalorian show. made to shill the new media.
>>
>>11607273
Kylo sucks cock.

He's basically Anakin if you made him extremely ugly, an incel, and incompetant to the point where he gets owned by people picking up a lightsaber for the first time.

If they kept his Mask on, only to reveal his ugly ass at the very end, made him an actual threat he could have had potential. Thats basically how Hollywood writes the new "bad guys now". Whereas older villains used to be the "smart calculating semi authoritarian white guy" mold now it's always "whiny incel incompetant and ugly whiteboy".
>>
>>11610138
>Look at what happened with the SDCC exclusive Anakin and Obi-Wan set?
What are the odds this shit actually comes back for a reprint? I missed out, thinking it was a definite (this is Hasbro, what Hasbro item sells out the day of and never comes back ever?), but it's been like 2 months now. They could be holding back to entice people who missed out to pick up the slop single releass of Anakin-Obi-Wan instead and then bring it back afterwards(seems like a Hasbro move), but if theres no word by December probably not happening. This is like one of the few Hasbro items I was actually interested in so pretty gay. And I'm definetly not paying over market price for it.
>>
>>11610305
I think it's gawn anon. I really wanted it too but honestly I don’t care anymore now that I got the singles and would be pissed if it comes back because then I’ll have to go through the hassle of getting rid of my singles. I'll probably just 3D print a platform. I did kind of consider paying aftermarket but nah fuck those scalpers I don't want to give them money.
>>
>>11610305
A reprint is highly unlikely, but they might have extras they keep in the warehouse for exchanges that they'll put up during one of Pulse's future sales.

Exactly the audience for the Black Series which is why it was good to finally make him.
I don't understand why they suddenly release figures like this as if its nothing. Conventions and toy show premieres are like 'oh hey fans I know you all have been wanting another Darth Vader...' and then put up listings for waves like this next one as if it were an after thought. Although, maybe a bit of self reflection will show me that I am not the main audience anymore. Maybe characters like Mara Jade and HK-47 are the ones most Star Wars fans don't care about anymore. Hmmm.

Anon, the first game came out in 1995 (Dark Forces). I played that, but didn't really get into the series into Jedi Knight II - Jedi Outcast.. I am going to approach this as you aren't being a massive shit eating troll. Who do you think Star Wars is even for at this point? They are finally appealing to their core demographic, people in their 30's - 50's (or even older). The youngest age range of people would be 20's and that is mostly from the Clone Wars CGI series. That is the reality and everyone knows it. Nostalgia is the only thing holding the brand togehter at this point. So ya, I fucking want Kyle Katarn and give me Jan Ors, Desann and Tavion while you're at it Hasbro. I think most people would melt down if we got a classic Dark Trooper. Managed to get the Blokees IG unit. Proportions are obviously more exaggerated and paint is lacking. Even the accessories are overly stylized and the bandolier is missing but in terms of construction and poseability this feels leagues and miles ahead of the stupidly gummy and floppy TVC version.

I'll probably turn it into a different kind of droid, but if we get more droids from Blokees for custom projects I'm not complaining.

>>
>>11612174
I don't get why they keep pushing Arleil in these, it's a given Hasbro's not going to let it go to waste, they're aware there's a demand for it. Are they afraid Hasbro's going to suddenly decide that because he's not in any of the fan tournaments, he isn't worth it?
>>
>>11612178
I think it's just people voting for what they want. Voting based on what you think Hasbro is least likely to make just muddles things in my opinion, but that's clearly what's happening in a lot of these.
>>
>>11612178
I mean the Star Wars team themselves said if we want something to be made then fan polls like this are the best way to let them know. And it gives them a stronger stance when they have to pitch them to the bean counters and Disney. While it's likely that Arleil is coming, there's no harm in letting them know that we still want him. He won once, but winning twice would just make the argument all the better if he isn't in the pipeline yet.

Although I would like someday to have a set of Luthen's shop that could come with him in that look and Kleya as well.
>>
>>11612520
I think this is more proof that it is real people voting. If it was faked then 3PO would be there still along with several other mains. One of the creators of the event who is also in charge of cleaning up the data after the top 10 submissions is adamant about Hasbro not making more Andor figures, so there is no way Luthen would be dominating the top spot as much as he is.

If they make Luthen it should be as part of a bonus set or an online exclusive or something. He didn't sell well at all in 6 inch, I doubt he's going to do well at mass retail in 3.75 inch.

Give me Captain Antilles, Biggs, Camie, Laze, Uncle Owen, Aunt Beru, Reikan, Lobot, moar ot stuff please hasbro.

It wouldn't bother me using her as a stand in for the OT version. That’s actually what I would have done if they made her in TVC but they never did. Surprised neither version of her is ever in any of these fan polls considering she's kind of a key OT character that you'd think the OT boomers that vote in them would want.

>Bitch, those prices aren't what killed Star Wars. Disney and a string of terrible movies/shows did.
You're correct, I'm not OP, but those prices are the final nail in the coffin. I was hoping for more OT 6" deep cuts, but man, fuck those prices!

>blokee kit

I say this does things better than the bandai one. Also does things worse than bandai

It is smaller than than your average 1/18
It is slightly more solid than Bandai kit but you are getting less articulation and missing the two additional guns.
The gun also molded with the hand so no switching around. Also no gun holster.

But you do get the full proper hands. I really hate bandai cheap out give you no fist.
The general silhouette does match that of bandai which is the closest to the screen but some details are clearly exaggerated for easier build.

I would say this one is more of action figure than a proper model kit. Some additional work need to be put into it for bandai kit.

Better than Black series trooper?

Yes

It's a gamble these days for me. I try to pick the figure I know won't end up on clearance racks or ROSS and bite the bullet and pay retail, like Dash Rendar. Skipping the exclusive because they'll just make retail versions anyway, they can no longer keep exclusive sculpts a one time use figure. Don't care about the box art.

probably salacious again with an antler glued on.

You did get your Mace Windu and Palpatine sets, right? They’re sold out now.

>better than black series
I see a lot of people saying this, I mean to each their own but I think the black series is the best 1/12 stormtrooper. All the others have weird proportions or shaping including the blokees which looks very stylized. The knee hinge being so skinny bothers me, it doesn’t give the impression that there is a person inside the armor. Though maybe the helmet on the blokees is closer to OT helmets. Black series helmet doesn’t really match any of the OT movies. I know it’s based on the Rogue One helmet but not sure it really matches that either

Apparently they only put up like 500 of them

>Emily left the Star Wars team
Over for TVC. More and more it is looking like we won’t go past 2027
>>
>>11614485
I got a pit on my stomach when they brought that up on the SWTVC podcast. I hope she's at least taking over the Hasbro 375 stuff but it's a huge loss for TVC. I wonder if her replacement was the one who handled The Stranger and is a preview of things to come..

I don't buy Stevie's explanation, Ahsoka and Boba have thigh swivel with similar pants, there is no reason they couldn't do it for the stranger. I think they said TVC would keep thigh swivel to give them more flexibility to reuse parts. But honestly, I can't think of any instance where they have kit bashed a figure's hips above the thigh cut with another figure's legs legs. Both are always new or both are reused. So yeah won't be surprised if there is no more thigh swivel in TVC either lol
>>
>>11614661
That's my feelings as well. They will technically keep thigh swivel around because of reuse potential... so long as the figure being made can reuse old legs. Otherwise I feel like more all new sculpts are going to see that POA go. It goes hand in hand with that recent poll Steve posted on IG asking collectors if they'd prefer "more detail - higher price", "less detail - same price", etc.

Not only that but it kills new blood. What kid is going to see anything there and go "YEAH! Let me spend $20 on THAT thing!"

Anakin Skywalker arrived today. These are all the jedi on my council so far.
>>
>>11614949
Looks more like they're in Anakin's Jedi harem than a Jedi council.

I dipped in and out of the Black series years ago and finally sold them all maybe 3-4 years ago. But the stuff they've released in the last year or two has really impressed me. Him and the new Obi Wan...hell most of the recent Jedi, have been great.

>get new TIE Advanced
>missing targeting computer decal shown on box
>no paint on the vehicle at all

Cool. Thanks. Love that price tag.
>>
>>11615094
In fairness, Hasbro at least said they're looking into the issue for the targeting decal since it was supposed to be there. The paper insert for the instructions was also missing, so something definitely happened at the factory.

Looks like the Black Series Bespin Luke and Vader has shipped out. Really excited for that one since the Bespin Luke we have is old as hell.

Nice. Mine should arrive today or tomorrow

I wonder if they will do a single release of that Luke possibly without the battle damage.
