they can't be serious if they're doing a fucking Alpine 2025 car release of all teams, no one cares about them, wouldn't be surprised if it's the least selling set of all (except in Shartgentina and Fr*nce)
maybe it's some gay F1 academy abomination (F1 w*men series that gets shilled and leads them nowhere) to get good boy points from globohomos who force handless cripples into Friends sets
maybe it's a 2022-2023 special livery Alpine that was run for a few races (picrel), but... why?

back when they came out, the very concept of in-universe reason was not even a thing.

you were supposed to build your own reasons.

maaayybe just a general idea that the Star Trek series had color-coded uniforms, so Lego could benefit creatively from having more than one color, but there was nothing "official" about what colors they picked

>>11627274
I know there are a flea market that apparently has a large toy section in the next county over, in a football stadium parking lot every week there are no games and in the spring. And it would be great because you can actually inspect used sets and also save on the shipping.

I've never heard of a LEGO only con, but apparently there is one, in another suburb near me, at an airport hotel. $50 would be steep just to maybe, possibly save on postage for a few recent but out of print sets I am interested. But I'm sure for families and people more interested and invested, it would be fun.

You're welcome, I suggest drying with the studs down or sideways so the cavities inside are exposed to the air, otherwise the water doesn't evaporate. eg the white wheel pieces would be better sideways.
Also it's worth giving the 2 by X bricks a shake into the bucket or sink first because water likes to stay in the tubes. Also other pieces with tubes such as those doors. What >>11627352 said too, or a hair dryer.

I salute you, my friends, of Lego General of 4chan. I come to you with a great question that could change my life forever, and perhaps even determine the fate of an entire company. As many of you know, I’m a huge Star Wars fan, and Lego Star Wars has been a financial burden for me, I actually lost my job and have been a NEET for about four months.
Now, I want to buy Star Wars collectibles that are cheaper but still nice, something like a Lego set, but more affordable. That’s where Funko Bitty Pops come in. I want to collect the Star Wars Bitty Pops, including the Death Star display, which actually seems better than Lego (lol).

So, should I go for Star Wars Bitty Pops instead of Lego Star Wars?
>>
>>11627176
>>11627225
officially the classic spacemen didn't have any specific roles, but the designers of the sets did have something in mind for what colour of spaceman did what, iirc it was
red = pilot
white = explorer
yellow = scientist
blue = security
black = spy

microfighters are among the best things modern Lego has done

cool little ship, cool minifig, not expensive at all. (they crept up a little, but still not terrible)

they are WAY BETTER than those "mech" things. I mean, I'm glad the mech things are not expensive and include a cool minifig, but I'd rather have a cool little ship than a awkward robot thing that's never been in a Star Wars

I would like them to do more microfighters, but they still seem to keep doing a few, so I can't complain

Small tyres were greasy as new until around 2007. It's one of the things that I remember about getting new LEGO sets as a kid. I bought pic related at Skærbæk LEGO fan weekend in 2022, and the elements stopped being greasy after a while without any washing.

I'm not giving that person that 3-in-One, I am giving them a Creator 3-in-One. The question isn't about how good a set or whether or not it has a favorite, I'm not a LEGO collector so I have no favorites and if this person has favorites, I don't know what they are.

The question is - this seems to be kid, if you were an grown ass man (which apparently, you fucking aren't since you can't even parse shit on line), would you insulted to get this? It's not meant to be a gag gift, for example.
>>

>Star Wars Bitty Pops
NOPE
Vinyl toys aren't the problem.
I even bought a fucking Bitty Pop last month, but it's a rarity.
But generally Funko Pops are souless plastic landfill fodder.
The only good thing about Funko Pops is that for some fans, it might be the only way to get a certain character that will otherwise never get a toy, but as long as they are all essentially identical and especially with so many people keeping them in those fucking boxes, they aren't toys - they are souless crap.

Now - for your bigger question: I feel for you, son.
Get into some other way to express your fandom. Figure out some way to stay involved that doesn't involve wasting what little money you have.

What a strange question

The new Death Star.
>>
>>11627386
>Star Wars Bitty Pops
YES.
Vinyl toys can be great.
I even picked up a Bitty Pop recently, and honestly, it surprised me in a good way.
Unlike full-sized Funkos, the Bitty Pops actually have charm — they’re tiny, they display well, and they don’t feel like the usual mass-produced junk.
And for a lot of fans, Bitty Pops are a perfect way to enjoy characters you love without dropping an entire paycheck on a figure or Lego set. The Death Star display especially looks great on a shelf and doesn’t swallow your entire budget. They can absolutely be real collectibles, and people actually take them out of the boxes, so they feel more like little toys than sealed plastic bricks.

I feel for you, son.
If you’re struggling financially, Bitty Pops are actually a smart way to stay connected to your fandom. They’re inexpensive, fun to collect, and won’t wreck what little money you have. If collecting makes you happy, this is one of the safest ways to do it.

>THIS WILL BE THE LOTR OF THIS GENERATION
you can't say that because it already is a thing, and it's not (not LoTR-of-a-generation)

Zelda has a nice spot as a niche thing that is recognizable. a less-nerdy Star Trek situation; where everybody knows about it, even if they don't "KNOW" about it.

the way nobody wants to read the book, but if they make a movie of it, sure, let's check that out. the movie will sell tickets to all the normies who thought video games were for nerds, yet they want to see what that Zelda thing was about.

there's so few characters, I predict the movie will get ONE set. (and it will be under $50 to attract the curious normie bucks??)

here is fundamental of lego set assembly

1. for system block sort block with brick, plates
Tiles,Snot,Slope,Technic. ignore colors

2. for Technic block
sort pin, technic block, axle, beam, thin beam, and Other's ignore colors

if you sort block, you will shorten your build time.

3. measure axle length with stud.

keep on eyes on instruction, check your build during construction so you can prevent disassemble mayhem
>>

it blows my mind, too
yet there's nothing that can be done about it
it's an economics of scale.

it might sound like it's a lot to make a million dollars, but they only need to sell 10,000 sets at $100 each to make that. 10,000 might even sound like a lot, but America alone has 50 states. that's only 200 people per state. 200 sounds like a very achievable goal, no matter what kind of nonsense set it is.
>>
>>11628571
This would have been an adorable little $40 City set that I would have instantly bought but instead they made it 18+ and one forth of the pieces are dedicated to an unneeded base, not a single minifigure in sight and then bloated up to $120. I hate modern Lego.
>>
>>11627956
looked this up and apparently someone added cloth sails to theirs, maybe you should do that anon
someone also seems to sell custom cloth sails for it on etsy, but they're pretty pricey
>>
>>11628754
Huh, I never noticed Soi Wars just straight up stole the bad guy ship from Space Police 3 Hyperspeed Pursuit and painted it grey for their latest slop. I guess Didney is already fucking LEGO's ass, not like LEGO's going to say "no you can't have that."

Blue looks so much better for the Imperial vehicles. I don't get why they haven't done a sand blue one yet, the colour is perfect for it.
>>
>>11629117
Sadly the masses prefer the boring black/grey. I think there's some non-lego model kits out there that sometimes use blue, but I don't think we'll ever see another lego set do it unless the source has it explicitly in blue.

Do they though? It's become the status quo but I wonder if one set had the two version side by side which would sell more? Also, in the source material they're pretty much blue. I know it's because of blescreen fuckery in but it's still the reality of what it looks like. I remember even the non-lego toys I had of TIE fighters as a kid were blue.

Speed Champions gets a pass on the stickers though. the sets are made for the "model builder" audience, you know, the people who should buy regular plastic model kits instead. the stickers slow-down the build, increasing the "value" of the process. that sounds lame, but it is what it is.

I agree the eyes are insane. at least the eyes should be printed. not only should the eyes have been printed, but I feel like they could have included extra windshield pieces so you could change his expression.

LMAO at the REAL reason the eyes are a sticker:
--Lego cannot print the color white.--
especially on a dark-ish color like red.
they always cheap-out on the ink mix, and it looks faded or translucent where you see the color underneath. they must have tried in the development stage, realized it looked terrible, and WTF let's just make it a sticker.

Lego is full of crazy contradictions and lack of standards among their own products

they make polybags with TWO minifigs! for only $5!!!!

literally NO reason this polybag can't contain 2 new spaceman colors, or a generic castle knight and a goblin, or a LoTR elf and orc, or a Star Trek away team with a red shirt guy and a blue shirt guy. Link from Zelda with a skeleton warrior?

extra for license? nope, this 2-minifig polybag has Spider-Man and Venom.

it's not "possible" it EXISTS
DO IT LEGO!

I guess happy for the trains and western fans, even though you guys seem to get something every other release
But man, this all just continues to prove Bricklink's releases are just so bland if you're not into the classic Lego staples, or modular bullshit. Hardly ever an ounce of anything fantastical, unique, or creative.

i want an actual one. larger than death star. two sets, one inside with jedi ship, anakin naboo fighter, nute, etc. and outside is the cut ring around it. they connect together. on top of it all, you get the FIRST ever OOM-9 mini

it was last year sometime, I watched the movie again, and saw OOM-9 looking through the binoculars...

wait...
....why would a droid need binoculars? aren't his robot eyes... binoculars?????

and I had a good laugh about it.

that cool looking ship has the potential to be huge and come with a lot of exclusive Nemoidian and planet Naboo minifigs. who was the "communications blackout can only mean one thing..." guy? him. $500 bucks easy.

>it was full of nexo chads
im that Nexo-guy
i didn't buy any nexo-stuff this year...i can't believe myself.
I just bought everything i wanted in 2024.
And strangely i was seeing all super-deals on Ebay just in 2024 and less of that in 2025.
PS:
If anybody wants-there is a Colossus going for a reasonable price (2 figures from this set costs like this whole lot).
I would buyt it if i didn't spend all my money on toys for myself for Christmas and a giant ~300eur Sewing Machine for my grandmother.
PPS:
OH FUCK IT WAS BOUGHT ALREADY
damn now i feel stupid
this was a wild price for such set.
Once again proves that there are insane lots for Nexo Knights from time to time.

maybe i will be buying nexo sets in 2026 and will drive /lg/ mad again
See you next year bros!!!
>>
>>11630662
Based Nexo chad. I'd be tempted for some of those monster figs to buy into the series, but nah. I'm fighting tooth and nail to find decent deals on retired Monkie Kid sets. Half the series eludes me and never goes up on sale.
>>
>>11630647
In the first film, the OOM series droids (one with yellow on them) are the only ones that can talk and think, they manage and control the droid armies and told directly what to do by the Trade Federation itself. Second film onwards, all droids have that level of intelligence I think.

If you have a Monkey Kid as your "main" theme then go for it - in lego it's better to use every second/minute/day/etc. to search for good deals because latere there will be none (i wasn't buying any Nexo sets for this whole damn year - there wasn't that many cheap sets anymore)
>monster figs
From what i saw - this two sets can spawn cheap lots sometimes.

70353 The Heligoyle
70350 The Three Brothers

Gargoyle helicopter usually being broken by kids that tear its wings and break them so normies selling it for cheap.
but of course never search for nexo stuff normally - normies with cheap lots dont usually put set numbers
>>
>>11630703
It's not necessarily my main (I got for Bionicle and older monster themes first) but it's been rising up rapidly.
Thanks for that tip though! I'll keep an eye out for those two and see if I can find them at a bargain sometime.

I also don't know what to call it, but sometimes you see a set and it looks like pompous showboating from the Lego Designer: look at how perfectly complicated this set looks! aren't I amazing?!!! the asymmetrical way the roof looks like snow!? the hexagonal walls of the gazebo attached to the bottom plates?!! even just that NPU corner curve rotated sideways on that tiny tree to look like a hanging ornament!! (swoon) I... Am... Awesome!

also Lego having a tendency to make a Dat-Hairpiece in a color, only available in expensive sets. that brown fancy railing is only available in expensive sets, too. (this set is not "free" it "costs" $130 to get it.)

>wait...
>....why would a droid need binoculars? aren't his robot eyes... binoculars?????
The Trade Federation built their battledroids as cheap as possible, so they only have basic photoreceptors that can't do anything fancy like zoom in. It's cheaper to just buy some off-the-shelf binoculars for the command droids than it would be to modify their design to include better photoreceptors.

There is a curse when it comes to lego youtubers

TheBrickshow = banned for 1 leak while other channels could continue to spread the leaks

TheBrickQueen = destroyed by MandR and never recovered

Just2good = a likable nerdy guy with a girlfriend turned into a degenerate transgender furry

TieTheLegoGuy = vanished, rumored to be dead

JangBricks = never the same after the famous road accident, went crazy over time, ditched his lifework (jangcity) and is hating lego more and more every day, while praising off-brands like the second coming of christ.

Was going to buy the space ship but decided to actually buy the scorpion since this guy also like hobby kit models that include soldiers but also insect and animals in those kits.

Also took this guy's advice >>11627308 and bought two identical ones (were on sale) so the recipient could have both more "neon yellow" and more pieces to mix and match, and thus have more variety. They arrived today.

Hopefully this stranger will appreciate 'em - thanks for the feedback/input. Have a hot drink with whiskey or beer of your choice on me.
