Does anyone have the dark magician monster arts and have the clear gap between the applied-on front hair bangs and the unchangeable head and back hair, showing a sliver of skin colored plastic visible even when he’s wearing his helmet? Got the recent band of the hawk Guts and I gotta admit, I'm basedfacing really hard, this figure is great. It's good but also a bit of a shame the painting is great because a lot of buckles are unpainted and it's distracting. I'm also happy they still haven't made Guts' black swordsman outfit yet, it's just a damn shame his outfit from my favorite arc was the one they fucked up. I am an Asuka fag and I wasn't planning on getting Rei initially but I liked how she looked in reviews so decided to go for it and I am really glad I did. I think she's amazing. I'm quite surprised how much I like her. All the joints feel very nice and smooth. The articulation is really great. There is no retarded overengineered bs that SHF tends to do. The only "experimental" thing might be the way they did the drop down hips but I actually think it is a clever design. While posing I kept thinking nah she's not going to move this way but she did. The only areas lacking I would say are the legs can't really close together so you can't do that knee hug pose the model kit has the part for. I tried but she has to cross her legs. And also the backward tilt on the head is limited too but that's kind of standard I guess.The differences in the faces is very subtle and at first I thought what is the point of having so many that are almost the same. But actually I feel like they make quite a difference. I think a closed eyes face would have been nice to have though. And I know people don't really like the head and yeah it's not exactly 1:1 to the anime but you can tell it's Rei and that's good enough for me. I love the orange stand too that's a nice inclusion. She honestly might be one of my favorites. The only annoying thing on is the hinge in her head keeps popping off, idk if that's common or just my copy. But other than that I'm actually pretty impressed. I'm looking forward to Asuka even more now. Also hope you guys like my poses. Unfortunately I only have a garbage phone camera. I hate how shitty the pics came out, they don't do her justice.

So shit happened and I had to cancel my shf grievous, sucks but you know, anyways keep an eye for it on plaza japan if you missed the other preorders, Merry Christmas
Got two big boys in the mail. General Grievous looks better than expected, the textures and paint over the whole body are nicely done. For poses, the biggest problem is that his hip joints are bit complicated and annoying to post at first, and now after I finally learned how to move them the balls became very loose. Another two good things for GG is that the cloth cape is really nicely done unlike the previous shf cape I got, and the interchangeble arms are very easy to swap and you don't need to worry about breaking them too much.Seeker is like the opposite of GG, there are many damages and stretches sculpted on the body but none of them are painted. I didn't play the game so I wasn't aware of all those things and I thought those were big QC when I first got the figure.The joints feel much better to move than GG and the the articulation is pretty good for such design. The cape are also pretty good here but I don't if the material used is those that would deteriorate in the long run.In summary, both have pretty big up side and down side. I had alot of fun with them but they are definitely not worth for the price bandai is asking, and fortunately I preordered on Amazon jp with some discounts.

Bros unironically Rei might be my favorite figure I’ve gotten this year which I can't believe I'm saying. I got several figures from various brands and while I am satisfied with most of them, Rei was one that actually impressed me and exceeded expectations. I'm not even crazy about Eva or Rei. I just think she is well designed and feels very nice to handle and the overall package with all the hands, faces, and stand is solid. I would go as far as to say SHF Eva girls, assuming Asuka is of the same quality, are the definitive Eva girl figures. Everything else is outdated and/or lacking in some way.

I can see why these three are less prioritized in action figure commercialization even outside question of right, very large portion of the major audience groups are outside action figure market.That being said, Bandai's recent strategy seems to be about making products for as many popular IP as possible to capture the trend of growing adult buyers/collectors so anything is possible at this point.
