== BIOMECHA GROUPBUILD ==

Build a mecha/cyborg with a visibly biological component integrated into the machine. This can include:
>Mecha that naturally have some sort of organic component to them (Evangelions, Aura Battlers, etc)
>Mecha that have organic elements attached/fused to them, willingly or otherwise
>Cyborgs, androids, and human with mechanical attachments/enhancements (Robocop, Kamen Rider, mecha musume, etc)

Send your entries to gunplaplamo@gmail.com with at least 5 photos of your finished build along with any WIP photos and a description of your entry.

are trigger airbrushes as beginner-unfriendly as everyone says they are? how much more difficult are they to use compared to a double action airbrush?
>>
>>11634864
God damn, that thing's design is ugly as hell. What the fuck happened to Digimon? How do you go from WarGreymon to THAT?
>>
>>11635125
They are good for coating the whole thing quickly (priming, topcoating etc), but not really for shading and things like that. It's all about fine control of the spray.
>>
>>11635141
While I didn’t expect my pic to be in the OP, I will say that Digimon are always ugly, which is part of their charm. KaiserGreymon is the combination of like ten different spirits, hence the clusterfuck.
>>
>>11635154
And I think Bandai's being sadistic enough planning to release MagnaGarurumon exactly one year after KaiserGreymon's by proxy. They didn't announce him in the recent reveals last week, so it has to be another September release.
>>
>>11635145
I know that's a common complaint with them, but I really haven't had any problems doing fine details or shading with my trigger airbrushes. It's definitely not quite as accurate, but I think it's perfectly fine for something the size of gunpla. Only time I bust out the classic style airbrush anymore is for much smaller stuff, like minis.

Can you free-hand camo with a trigger airbrush? I don't think I could (but it's probably not so much about the trigger as about the distance from the hand to the tip of the airbrush for me).
>>
>>11635141
fuck you, kaiser is great

>>11635245
I'm almost sure they will make magna pbandai, hence more expensive for you to make susanoo
>>
>>11635340
And fuck you too, if they are making an all-original Digimon design with no parts shares P-Bandai. It's criminal, especially for a Garurumon parallel.
>>
>>11635345
>It's criminal
yeah, right up Bandai's alley, unfortunately
>>
have any of you dudes tried kitbashing? I'm thinking about getting some cheap kits and going to town. I kinda want to do something similar to makoto kobayashi's designs *not pictured here*.
>>
The 30mm armored core kits worth it? The prices seem to just keep climbing its disgusting, even with usagundams sale they still seem overpriced and the bs with the gun packs not having all the parts bothers me.
>>
Current WIP.
Not much left to go and I painted the eyes.
>>
>>11635322
Can't say I've ever tried, but I've never tried free handing camo at all before. Maybe I'll try it on my next kit and report back.
>>
>>11635497
No, they're pretty small for their price tag.

OH No no no no

Gunpla bros
What is our response?
>>
>>11635599
What's there to say, the tamashi line is typically more expensive than gunpla. If you want gunpla to look good, you're meant to put some work in yourself like painting, scribing etc.
>>

20 year old plamo vs modern action fig?
>>
I want to start getting into Kotobukiya’s Zoids kits. Is Godos a good one to start with? Also Guysack the Scorpion one.
>>
If I didn't pre-order (I fucking hate pre-ordering) the Rajang and Mizutsune Zoids collab kits, am I fucked? I don't think I saw the Rathalos and Magnamalo reprinted at all since the first release.

Anyone have experience with Gaahleri's mini compressor + airbrush? Want to move on from spray cans and wanted something smaller so it seems good, but literally every review on youtube comes from an influencer sponsored by them so I cant find something unbiased

Hey guys. Started with an RG (left) and gave up. A year later I bought an HG (right) and had fun doing it.
I like to think that they're fighting but left lost miserably, just struggling to survive.
>>
>>11636067
RG Red Stray sucks ass, sorry you had to experience that. It’s from when the line was still finding its footing.
>>
>>11636260
I do like the model. Considering doing another from the same saga or whatever they're called. So you don't suggest i do so?
>>
>>11636293
More modern RGs are way better constructed and have fewer gummy ore-built elements. If you’re saying you want to do another SEED RG, there are some more recent releases that are good.

It's 20 more than if I had gotten it from the Gundam base in Camden a while back but hey, at least it isn't the 120 people usually sell it at.

Say, if you are outside Japan and your P-Bandai item is bound for shipping in December, when exactly will your item arrive? I once ordered an item slated for November last year, but it came in on December 1.
>>
>>11637328
They send you an e-mail with the tracking number the day that it's put in a shipping container. There's no rhyme or reason, other than sending you an e-mail when the pre-order period ends telling you when they expect to ship it out, and the second e-mail with the tracking number itself.

From what I can tell, there's variance depending on the specific items you ordered (I assume they estimate the shipping date based on when your ordered kit gets printed and boxed). I've seen other anons get their P-Bandai shipments a few days before me, probably because their order contained different or fewer things.
>>
>>11636770
FUCK!
The one I bought here was a replacement for one that was lost in the mail almost a month ago and now that one is arriving today.

I guess the good thing is that I got one for free but still.
>>

Anyone got any insight?
