So I can expect these are coming. Everyone is chomping at the bit to cash in on Rivals.
>>11634941>RivalsDoes anyone even care about that FOTM garbage anymore?
>>11634991>FOTM for 12mo straight
They are one their way. I dont have fucking room for this shit! Argh!!
Finally got around to reading Grant Morrison's Batman/Deadpool crossover. Holy shit, I love how he writes Deadpool. I forgot what good comics were like. Can we get a DarkClaw Hasbro? Please? How would that even work, who would the rights for Amalgam characters?
You'd think by the third or fourth time they'd final use a new mold for Silver Surfer but nah. All you get is no pins. Wooow. I hate that duck footed placed low little peanut shouldered flat chest wide hipped mold. Fuck this joke of a company.

>>11635176Yes yes nice buzzwords, however you buy Marvel Legends. You are the slop.
>>11635177Your post doesn't even make sense Ping.
>>11635022>How would that even work, who would the rights for Amalgam characters? The amount of billing time it would take for the lawyers to figure it out would overlap any profitability, until/unless DC & Marvel actually get owned by a single parent company (not impossible). This is also why Disney/marvel won't do anything with the Malibu/Ultraverse characters, it's not that are unwilling to pay the original royalty agreements, it's just that it would cost too much to figure it all out.
Why do Storm's arms look like noodles?
>>11635056None of the ML versions will feature such intense ....looks.
>>11635232You're a cannibal who looks at arms and sees food
>>11635231I dunno. If doesn't seem impossible. Look at what Jazzwares did with their recent DC/Sonic crossover figures. Jazzwares doesn't hold the main license for DC figs but they somehow made it happen. They even have Sonic characters in DC outfits. Shadow as Batman, Sonic as the Flash, Knuckles as Superman. WB is at least seemingly willing to play ball with the idea of crossover figs.
>>11635235Not at all. It is a commentary on the lack of muscle definition on her arms. It is the kind of critique an Anthony would make for a Marvel Legend.

So what Marvel figures were you thankful for this year? Personally, I'm really thankful for Daken, Astonishing Beast, Chameleon, and Maximum Spidey.
>>11636058>>11636085Toybiz hips
>>11636214Hasbro started the y-joints.
>>11636214also easily confirmed with a quick google you retard
>>11636210Jugs and Shuma. Basically the Gamerverse line in general.
Are the Mafex figures, particularly the X-men, worth it over their Legends versions? Going to be getting rid of most of my Marvel Select figures now that the line's dead and replace them with 1/12 versions. Until now, I've only really bought imports for anime and domestics for superheroes. Only Mafex I have is Homelander. But I see Wolverine, Cyclops, and Magneto have all been rereleased recently.
>>11636457Look at the holes in the figure's elbows, chat.
>>11636450I don't get the reasoning behind getting rid of cherished figures just because the company or line ended. It just means you can stop consuming. Now is a good time for that.
>>11636462>Discouraging people from collecting because you're a pitiful loser that hates everythingFuck right off mister pessimist. Why are you even here? It sounds like you don't even like toys. >>11636450While, getting rid of figures just because the line is dead will never make sense to me, they are Marvel Selects and as someone who owns a bunch myself, I don't blame you. That being said, the Mafex figures are pretty nice alternatives to the MLs if you're willing to pay extra. They have pretty much rounded off the Blue and Gold teams at this point except for Beast and Bishop, which I'm sure will inevitably be announced. The Legends are good too, especially stuff like 97 Cyclops and Wolverine, but the Mafex's are definitely superior.
>>11633448You told me they raised prices ahead of Black Friday and then drop them on Black Friday. But no, Amazon proves you a liar. It's still the same raised price today as it was.
>>11636462 >cherished figures>>11636467 >pitiful loser that hates everythingSomeone is projecting. Calling figures cherished is not a words of someone who hates figures.
>>11636493I reread my original post and I guess I didn't clarify. They raise the prices on items that have been discounted year round back to full price, only to drop them back to that same discounted price that they were the rest of the year. This Doom never was discounted therefore doesn't apply to my statement. That was my bad, I thought I mentioned that it was for items on discount previously. Also, still sounds like you're new to online shopping. >>11636495Fuck off loser. No one wants to listen to you cry about how everyone should stop collecting because you've personally been priced out.
>>11636499You're not understanding the new paradigm online retail has for collectibles since around 2023. That is why you confused Retro carded Doctor Doom for yoyo pricing. Collectibles are whale bait, so Amazon and Walmart.com now use algorithmic pricing to raise prices on figures that sell well (that is Retro carded Doctor Doom) to find the limits the whales will pay, and they only do discounts on the misses/garbage no one wants. Even then it is generally a meager discount unless they have been unsold for multiple years.
>>11636509I'm aware of this but this has nothing to do with what I was originally trying to convey. I understand that I didn't clarify in my original post last thread, which is why I did so in my previous post here. There are items, not just toys, that are discounted on Amazon for the majority of the year. However, for Black Friday, Amazon will bring those prices back up to their regular value in the weeks leading up to Black Friday, to discount them back down to what they've been sitting at for most of the year. There is a discount, but it isn't specific to Black Friday, it's just their standard deals they usually do. And they do discount things, even MLs pretty regularly. Sure it isn't the ones that are popular, but it's the mid tier ones, like the recent Lilandra 2pack or the 2 pack with Dr. Strange and Wong. Those dropped to below $25 a pop this year on Amazon, I got the Lilandra set for $22. Only time I've seen them cheaper was when people posted them at Ross, and even then if you could find them, it varied by store. My store had the Lilandra set for $20.Them applying algorithmic pricing, which they do for everything, not just collectibles, has nothing to do with them slowly taking away discounts that have been in place for the better part of a year, only to reapply them as "Black Friday" discounts.
so, how are they?
>>11636537Feral isn't worth the 38 bucks. There's better booba out there and they aren't tied to a werewolf.Rachel is basically required buying but it's basically the boring normal female buck everything uses. And then Black Widow is just the boring female buck with a tummy crunch and a barely usable butterfly.
>>11636462Bro, Marvel Select literally didn't even finish their X-men team. I held out for over a decade for redos of Wolverine, Cyclops, Jean, and Storm, only for DST to go under before even putting out that great-looking Archangel they'd been showing for a few years. No point holding onto those except big guys like Colossus.>>11636467I'll probably keep most of my MCU Selects since I'm kind of over it post-Endgame, but it's just too frustrating having forever incomplete comic teams. And since they're 1/10 there's not even an option to mix lines to fill the gaps like with 1/12. I keep older lines that are complete like the DCC New 52 Justice League or my Arkham collection. But, yeah, while I don't mind paying more for quality, the 97 figures and the gamerverse X-men look pretty good, too. It's not like with anime where the domestics can't even compete with the import versions 9/10 times.
>>11636552Completionism is a sorrow of collecting. It leaves one forever empty, forever longing for the next purchase while sucking the joy out of the existing purchase.
>>11636552Professor X will be the reason my X-Men are never complete. There's no fun or posing possibility in buying a 33 dollar man in a chair. See this picture? He even farts in my general direction.
>>11636559I do want a figure of professor x but this figure is not good enough, I’ve considered getting one of those 3d printed chairs but even then the figure sucks, why haven’t they redone him for 97 anyway?
>>11636562How could they improve a guy in a suit? They would probably just reuse that body buck if they made him for 97.
>>11636539a shame, I remember them getting hyped here.
>>11636570You’re probably right I just think that suit body is shit and they need to make a new one already
>>11636558Fuck off you negative fucking Nancy. Holy shit.
>>11636578They made a new one recently but it's too HUEG for Charles.
>>11636570Maybe throw out his "muh cartoon/classic" suit and give him some street level clothes? Pic related.Or give him real battle chair with tacticool guns, lasers and rocket launchers?
>>11636582Only issue with that is classic looks always sell more and people would complain it isn't X-Men TAS/Jim Lee
>>11636578I think the MCU Matt Murdock is a new suited body. >>11636562I mean, other than the doofy accessory for the helmet, what exactly is wrong with it?>>11636582So, essentially you want not Professor X then? They've done him in his Savage Land getup and they've made a normal wheelchair, I have two of them.
>>11636585the body is shit and the face looks bad compared to any ML released in the last several years since they switched to face printing, at the very least he needs a new head thrown in with another figure since Hasbro in their usual genius decided the savage lands Xavier needed to be both a different skin tone and have a different peg size
>>11636587I don't understand why they don't standardize peg size. It would save them money
>>11636585>So, essentially you want not Professor X then?I need Xavier as battle ready combatant not some background dude in wheelchair and suit. We talking about action figures after all. There just not much action with guy in static chair.
>>11636590Maybe Spinmasters and other kids toys are more your speed.
>>11636591Well if you're don't care about ACTION aspect in your fucking ACTION toys you can just stick to statues instead.
>>11636597I mean, if you insist. I prefer my figures to be accurate to the source material I consumed in my youth. Not whatever headcanon some random guy I'm the internet made up.
Is Marrow still considered a must buy or will she get a re-release in the gameverse line?
Which way, western man?
>>11636607Marrow is considered TOOLATE, she's sold out everywhere. No one knows if she'd get a re-release but I would not bet on it because the look she is using is basically the same as in MVC so it'd basically just be re-releasing the same figure. Which I guess they have done just recently (Power Princess and Warbird)
>>11636614>she's sold out everywhereshe's in-stock on hasbro pulse, she's even on sale
>>11636617Oh ok, I don't check Hasbro Pulse due to their ridiculous shipping. Same reason I don't buy from McFarlane's store
>>11636612Left. I still have mine sealed
>>11636617>hasbro pulseI read their terms of service recently when forced to. It was funny.>We do not accept unsolicited ideas or proposals. If you nevertheless provide suggestions, ideas, or feedback (“Feedback”), you agree that we may use them without restriction or compensation and that such Feedback is non-confidential.They think of everything. Don't give Hasbro any ideas.
>>11636612Yamaguchi body (idk you can probably even grab bootleg for that) with head from 3-pack is perfect Pylocke to me.I like detalization, metallic colors and transparent hair on this one. Not so knees and shoulders joints.Problem with yamaguchi is that his figures good for action posing but really bad for static poses like on your pic.
>>11636607She doesn’t really need an update so that means they will shove her in a 2 pack with a character who does, like sabertooth.
>>11636457Looks better than the figufarts
>>11636612They all have their flaws, but if I had to choose one, I'd go with Yamaguchi. The ML is by the numbers and boring with WesternAngryFace and her accessories (not shown there) are about the only interesting thing. Mafex is boring "standard import" body with no artistry to it and the face isn't good either. Yamaguchi may have the weird joints, long neck and have an animeface but it's sufficiently stylized that it looks appealing, and that's when it is at a disadvantage because it isn't in a dynamic pose.
Are they as cool as they look like or are they full of flaws?
>>11636537How is Feral, Wolfsbane and Tigra not just the same character?
>>11636636The characters each cater to slightly different fetishes for their animal lady tropes.
>>11636637I know, but instead of 3 shitty characters, Marvel could've made a single cool one that went on multiple teams. Like, oh I don't know, Beast?
>>11635493This is fucking gorgeous anon, good work
>>11636612ML, I have the AY and it's fine but the static hair is kind of annoying tbqh. I never liked the man face Mafex gave her.
>>11636558I'd agree if we were talking about D-listers, not the core X-men. I don't need, like Cannonball or something, but it's ridiculous not having a Cyclops, Jean, or Storm in an X-men display. Even my only Wolverine is the Hugh Jackman version.>>11636559Less posing options for a paraplegic character's not really a problem for me. But that figure just looks dated. The telepathy effect is terrible. It's like a giant splooged on the cerebro helmet. After I get everyone else, maybe I'll grudgingly pick him up, though I really hope they do a new one when 97 comes back.
>>11636655>The telepathy effect is terrible. It was terrible even back when it was released. Everything else with the set was fine for it's time, it's a bit dated now, especially the face.
>>11635493can you please send this to every companie that produces action figures, with detailed instructions and also you telling them that you don't want money, credit or anything else if they copy it? Thanks.
>>11636655Completionism is exactly more than just the basic evergreen characters like Cyclops, Jean, and Storm. Completionism wants full, obscure teams that will likely never be made by a profit-driven company.
>>11636590Then buy Savage Land or Crossroads/Overlord Xavier then
>>11636636Tigra is an an Avenger, private eye, and Hank Pym's girlfriend Wolfsbane is a shy abused Catholic school girl who is secretly a huge homophobe and bitch if ever given a chance to be a cunt with no responsibility Feral meanwhile is a secret psychopath who killed her mom and framed her sister for the crime, hid out with Xforce and managing trick even Cable into thinking she was a goody goody before she got busy and sent to jail and nearly killed Syrin but due to nostalgia fags, writers write her as a replacement scrappy for Wolfsbane, as Rob Liefeld has openly admitted that he only created Feral as a replacement for Wolfsbane after the character was yanked out of New Mutants at the last minute to be used in PAD's Xfactor
>>11636688What if he doesn't want that look? It's beyond cringe to tell people what to do about buy fucking toys. Jesus, you guys are such dweebs.
>>11636694They really are drastically different people.
>>11636707Tell buy the Toy Biz version who's not glued to the wheelchair. But at the end of the day, if you want Action Xavier, you mother fucking but Overlord or Savage Land Xavier faggot, because those ARE the two main action versions of Charles Fucking Xavier
The Marvel Legends sales this year are rather underwhelming.
>>11636733What if I have both?
>>11636664fag
>>11636754What street background is that? I've been needing multiple bgs for dioramas
>>11636634They're good but not worth MSRP. Get them when they show up on sale. I got a set for $37.99 on AMAZON a few months ago.
>>11636804NECA street diorama
>>11636612I have all 3 I would take the ML The yamaguchi is annoying to deal with and the Mafex doesn’t do it for me
>>11636612is there a reason why western sculptors have such a hard time with female faces? This seems to be the norm across all brands from the west
>>11636636As the world's only Greer Nelson fan, fuck you
>>11636642For starters Tigra isn't even a mutant. The Cat was one of the three comics written by a female writer when Marvel tried to appeal to a wider audience which quickly got scrapped and she was reworked into a "monster" character. Then she went on adventures where she got spooked by Ghost Rider and Molecule Man, kept as a pet, lost control of herself to cat instincts (twice), and get beaten up horribly on a semi-regular basis. Also she was a grown woman with a dead husband to start with while the mutants started as teenagers years later. Feral at least was a replacement for Wolfsbane because she ended up in X-Factor's cast instead of X-Force. She drifted into the "bad" version of other animal people in both morality and getting her clocked clean by Wolfsbane in a fight.
>>11636928She has a 2 in speed despite allegedly being faster than humans and doesn't have the big muscles you would expect from a tiger. Tigra was a mistake.
>>11636634I picked up 2 set for 12 each at ross when all those Legends were dumped last month. Theyre okay for that price, nothing wow factor about them.
>>11635082>I said what what
>>11635493Doing God's work anon, keep going with the good stuff
>>11636450>Are the Mafex figures, particularly the X-men, worth it over their Legends versions?Yes, but I have an unreasonable hated of Marvel Legends, so my opinion ain't worth spit.>>11636467>Gold teams at this point except for Beast and Bishop, which I'm sure will inevitably be announced.Colossus and Archangel, as well.
>>11636880Yeah, the legends body is great, but the face looks like she wants to speak to the manager. Hope they eventually do a single pack release of her with a different head. The one from the X-men three pack is probably the best legends Psylocke head sculpt, but the skin tones wouldn't match.
>>11636880The sculpts are usually fine, it's the paint.
>>11636457Goddamn it, whyyyyyy. This could have been classic.
>>11636537Does Feral even have furry tits?Because she looks like she has zero fur anywhere.Hasbro cheaped out way too much.
>>11636612I own the Yamaguchi. It's not for me. At some point when I have the energy I'll toss it in /bst/. I prefer the MAFEX to the ML but I do wish the lips weren't such a bright purple.
>>11637302Looks like Hasbro also should have given her a disgusting stretched out leg too but I guess they cheaped out
Guess I’ll just stick to the legends vhs until storm or jada makes one I guess.
You're welcome when they announce the Spider-Man retro card and regular single release of these in the December stream.
>>11637363These are exactly the Franks I want.
>>11637363I won't lie, the Punisher on the right is my ideal Frank. Really nicely done. Is it just swapping parts around or was there some repainting involved, I can at least tell the thigh is repainted to remove the white section on it on the left Frank.Whatever you did nicely done. Still shitty that you need to buy two 2 packs to kitbash an ideal Punisher. This is why I'm just getting the Mafex.

Anyone else get thier 97 Sentinels delivered? Mine were yesterday.
>>11637616Mine is apparently shipping December 15
>>11637616How is it? I was almost considering grabbing one if they go back in stock like Dragon Man did.
Wait, why is Feral $40 on Amazon? Is she really that popular? I thought Phoenix would be the one they'd jack the price on but her price is only $2 above MSRP
>>11637805>hurrrrr why is one toy more popular than another???A mystery not even Reed Richards could solve.
>>11637805Guess she was the popular one. Still not sure why you guys all get on about Amazon all the time when there are just so many other options where you can get the figure at retail. You can get her at Pulse, EE or BBTS right now. Hell, your local Walmart may have her since they're getting the wave in now.
>>11637805She's the last member of Xforce to complete the team.
>>11637805Anon, don't consider that the price of Feral set by Amazon's AI actually makes sense. It's set by the same kind of AI that when you ask what the dimensions of a product are, it spits out some nonsense that is entirely untrue with a citation of some website that is talking about a totally different make/model. It has no idea what it's doing.Camelx3 shows what happened: third party scalper(s) were allowed to put up Feral and priced her at $36.99 and so the AI got scared that it was losing Amazon potential profits by keeping the price "low" and so it jacked it up even higher to $40, then dropped it to match the third party scalper(s) eventually.
>>11637342>think storm or jada will get rights to do any marvel characters.
>>11637876>>11637915I think what he's confused about is why this happened with Feral and not Phoenix, who is also the last one needed to complete a team and was even previously sold out
>>11634902I can't believe they didn't invite X-Man or Stryfe.
>>11637975Because a third party scalper didn't happen to put Rachel up for 36.99
>>11638009She's not even that price when I pull her up now. Anon is having a conniption over nothing.
>>11634991>FOTM for 12mo straightAnon forgive them. Time passes very slowly for some of these fuckers.
>>11637342It's game accurate.
>>11638038She's back to 30 yeah. But he couldn't have known she'd go back down. Imagine the idiots who bought her when she was $37-$40 though. Serious buyer's remorse for falling for Amazon's scam I assume and this isn't a preorder now so they aren't getting a price match down to normal
>>11638090Stop being an over dramatic faggot. Shit like this happens on Amazon regularly. Has for years. It's stupid how you're making s big deal about nothing.
It's time for Mammomax
>>11638104Taking action figures over MSRP only started from Amazon themselves in 2023 and it was very small bumps in price at first. Third parties of course had been doing it forever.
I wasn't a big comic fan until recently. How fucked am I if I want a big Savage Land diorama? Missed out on the Rogue three-pack and rarely see any of the Zabu wave in the one store nearby
>>11637458I had bought a Phantom Rider to take the gloves and boots. Boot swap worked, just had to dremel the boots out a bit. Glove swap was going well, but one flew out of my hand while dremeling and I can't find it. So for now I'm using the glove overlay from the Gamerverse figure. Gamerverse figure has the boots/gloves from the War Journal and they each have one another's harness/belts/holsters.>>11637509Shit, I knew something was throwing me off. I'll probably paint that when the coat comes in, along with the headband.>>11637426I'm very happy with both, gonna list the animated Frank for an obnoxious price because I don't care if it sells.
>>11636457>>11636459Oof
