Piece count also isn't a fair comparison since sets used to have fewer but larger pieces, while modern sets have more complex builds with smaller, more specialized molds. You also have to consider that the baseplate counts as a single piece.Finding something at a similar price point is probably a better way to compare. Picrel is pretty similar (has a baseplate equivalent, multiple minifigs, a vehicle, and a building) and at a glance it does seem to be more substantial. I'd say this one is a better value than most other modern sets though.They really should bring back the old printed baseplates. They really go a long way in tying the scene together and making it feel like you're getting a lot.

Kind of actually reminds me more of the Detective's Office with one somewhat shorter building. The left side definitely looks a bit too much like the Boutique hotel. I'm so glad that I finally ended up buying the forestmen hideout GWP. This is genuinely one of my favorite sets ever, it's so perfect and classic Lego but with some modernization. The only thing I dislike about it is the overuse of those stupid rounded 1x2 plates that are being overused in every modern set.

I cannot believe I'm saying this butThe 2007 imperial walker may actually look the most accurate compared to the one you see in Return of the Jedi. I looked at it from so many angles and it really does hold up more than people realize. Its head is also MUCH straighter/blocky than what all of the newer ones are trying to pull off.Maybe it's just the lack of studs on its head surface, but you also have to remember that the old one is 100% clean-gray while the newer ones all have those visible blue technic pieces sticking out like a sore thumb.
