The actual original Blackfire Platinum and the Digital Two-Face Platinum as figures that are actually able to be ordered are examples of ones I'd buy if they offered them for sale with no weird double pack gimmicks or the like. This is what perplexes me about McFarlane and their weird platinum strategy. They have a lot of potential customers that they have basically turned away because they refuse to just sell a figure with no nonsense. It seems like a really weird, round about way to try to make a line succeed by making stuff so rare it's worth a lot on ebay. If anything that only turns a lot of people off from the line because they don't want the headache of either overpaying or trying to track down rare stuff. They just want a fun, cool toy.
