Who the fuck wants a freddy freeman figure?
>>11642667Looks good. I don't usually buy regular action figures but I might have to hunt this one down since I'm a major Nicholson Joker fan and he rarely ever gets any good merch. Only ones I recall being good are the Hot Toys and Lego figures. Are you guys happy with the McFarlane figures? I don't know much about them.
>>11642692No they're shit and you'll never be able to find one unless you want to pay $500 on ebay. If you're new here, stay far far away from Todd's garbage.
>>11642692I have been dissapointed by just about every Mcfart I've bought.
>>11642695>whoops just made a chunky little mcfart myself while posting in the mcfart thread
>>11642681Freddy Freeman fans?
>>11642709Who the fuck is a freddy freeman fan?
>>11642723People who like the character. Sorry that your pathetic zoomer brain can't fathom someone liking something you don't, but it happens. Sorry that it rustles your jimmies.
>>11642728enjoy your dead line, friend.
>>11642734The line died for a multitude of reasons, putting out niche characters wasn't one of them. If anything it was reissuing the same Batman figure over and over again with a slightly different paint job.
>>11642737>If anything it was reissuing the same Batman figure over and over again with a slightly different paint job.this is literally what mattel did and will do again
>>11642740I never claimed Mattel would be any better. That was another anon. I'm strictly imports when it comes to DC stuff unless somehow Mattel does the opposite of what it normally does, mbut I'm not holding my breath.
>>11642744>I'm strictly imports when it comes to DC stuffBut they make nothing but the same bat crap. No one else makes anything worth a shit.
>>11642667Whether it be DC, Marvel, or Classified, anyone else getting tired of arms that aren't able to go straight down? Some toy sculptor should have been able to figure out how to fix it by now.
>>11642753They're drip feeding me enough. I'm slowly building out my Bat Rogues still, and they've opened up doing characters from storylines that feature the Justice League and other such heroes. They've teased a new Wonder Woman and mother fucking Lobo.
>>11642489>Couldn't afford the likeness for JokerTo be fair, I don't think it has anything to do with being able to afford but actually wanting to pay that much for a one-off figure when your line is effectively dead next year>The new classic Shazam fig is actually of Freddy not ShazamYou should have read the leaks properly. Both Freddy and Classic Shazam are getting released. The Big Cheese will just take a bit longer>>11642604Are people really having problem finding figures at this point? This year, figures have been easy as hell to get online. Last year was a whole other thing>>11642650This. People talk out of their ass half the time in these threads. When every single leak gets confirmed, people still cry like the rest of the leaks that haven't been confirmed so far, will turn out to be untrue. The constant doomposting and bitching is Tumblr-tier. I understand we're talking about toys but it's like these threads are filled with asocial toddlers 95% of the time
>>11642692They're so-so. The sculpts tend to be fine, paintjobs range from terrible to good but the articulation, proportions, as well as lack of accessories are the biggest downsides to the line. Just check out reviews and make up your own mind. It's a good line for getting your favourite figures because they really have been putting out tons of niche characters but the actual figures are very hit and miss>>11642681>>11642723>>11642734I don't give a shit about Freddy but are you too dumb to imagine that some people might actually be Shazam family fans? Do you tend to be upset about everything in life or are you just a regular retard who has to seek validation everytime you don't like something?
>>11642737No, anon, that's backwards. Those Batman figures are actually what keep the line going so people who collect niche stuff can buy Captain Thunderbutt, Battle Hogie McFreeman and other strange figures few have ever heard of.
>>11642810I don't understand why casuals who don't even care about the property spend so much on toys of it. It's like you're trying to fit in.
>>11642816They care about Batman and Batman alone. Even Collectors such as Anthony are of this type
WEW
>>11642910Oh fuck oooooff
>>11642910>pleasegodletthisberealtimmyt.jpg
>>11642910hasn't DC suffered enough?
When will I be able to buy a gay black trans Netflix's WB's DC's The Batman figure? My shelf is too white and it's problematic.
>>11642910It's really sad that cultist are so delusional that they will create, and then swallow as truth, a bad generated fake schoop of xshitter nonsenseAnd then go and spam it across multiple boards and threads of a fourth rate Mongolian basket-weaving site, no-effort click bait farms like screen rant and other social media shitholes they've infested like vermin since 2017, just in the hopes of getting a few more idiots to swallow the kool-aid
>>11642910All those companies still making Snyder figures just fucking won.
>>11642971Hey dipshit why do you think Zack Snyder has been posting pictures of Henry non stop for the past month saying >he IS SupermanLmao
>>11642910AI slop
>>11642964Wave 1 Mattel will be black versions of the justice league from the new Netflix series
>>11642975
Fake but Gunn is gone after man of tomorrow
The year is almost over and there is still no sign of mcfarlanes missing trailer or any supergirl figures on ebay. Did DB Cooper highjack this truck?0
>>11643204you have to understand, cases like these can take years, maybe even decades. Hell, it may never even be solved.
>>11643204>>11643205Reminder there was never a police report filed for a missing truck.
>>11642681>>11642723Elvis Presley. You under aged faggot
>>11643216digital collectables?
>>11643216I don’t understand any business decisions mcfarlane toys makes.
>>11643204Some mysteries are best left unsolved, Todd told the authorities not to worry too much about it.
>>11642910I know this is AI but if Snyder makes a deal with the Saudis this can happen. Those guys have zero taste and enough money to buy Universal and demand 10 more Snyder movies just because.
>>11642964Here >>11643348
>>11643210This. Never forget a fucking week before it happened an anon said a batch of figures were tainted and would never reach the public
>>11643361Yup then Jarret ran the proven leaker off with his faggotry. He’ll even still do>leaker herePosts to mock the guy that has not posted it almost a year. Imagine being so much of a fucking loser.
>>11642910At least make something plausible, anon.
>>11643204As far as anyone knows, that was only going to Walmart, so other places got Super Girls. Also strange behavior from McFarlane Toys: They're re-putting up preorders for figures like Red Tornado with a new announcement at BBTS and such. Why? Usually for McFarlane a sell out is a sell out
>>11643384>Also strange behavior from McFarlane Toys: They're re-putting up preorders for figures like Red Tornado with a new announcement at BBTS and such. Why? Usually for McFarlane a sell out is a sell outYeah it's weird as hell, once mcfart figs sell out they sell out but these randomly got restocked? EE got Cheetah and Joker too. Also not to long ago Red Lantern Guy Gardner also got more made.
>>11642667DC should just contract Shazam out to Fantagraphics so they can reprint their golden age stories since DC has no desire to reprint those comics and Fantagraphics is already doing old Marvel comics
>>11643384>red tornadoSweet! I missed his previous releases and id really like having one. I also saw some supposedly OOP figures for sale again too on the Mcfarlane toy store and while it may not be related i saw two Guardians on the shelf during my last trip out. Which i thought was odd since the Guardisn is red platinum so they are the smallest print runs. Either way, ive never seen two RP at the same time. But we know how odd Mcfarlane toys are about these things so it could be interesting to see if they decide to re release certain figures.maybe its an exclusivity window type deal? Maybe the big stores orders are so small that they arent much concerned over exclusive figures? I know that the Turtles of Greyskull series had two Walmart exclusives that ended up on bbts around the time that walmart began fufilling and canceling orders and i think there was an Amazon exclusive Man-E-faces that was on bbts eventually aswell. If they are doing re releases what figure would you like to see? Id like Ragman, The Spectre, and the 90s Catwoman. Cyborg Superman would be great as box set with Eradicator, Super boy and Steel
Anybody have Eaglemoss stuff? I'm curious about the quality.I have Black Canary (picrel in the back) and Mad Hatter. They're heavy which is cool but the quality is a bit off, too small I guess.
>>11643464I have Power Girl and Starman Jack. They're alright for what they are
>>11643422>If they are doing re releases what figure would you like to see?I have pretty much all the regular figures I wanted at the prices they would ask for them, but not platinums as I refuse to hunt or order huge quantities. The actual original Blackfire Platinum and the Digital Two-Face Platinum as figures that are actually able to be ordered are examples of ones I'd buy if they offered them for sale with no weird double pack gimmicks or the like. This is what perplexes me about McFarlane and their weird platinum strategy. They have a lot of potential customers that they have basically turned away because they refuse to just sell a figure with no nonsense. It seems like a really weird, round about way to try to make a line succeed by making stuff so rare it's worth a lot on ebay. If anything that only turns a lot of people off from the line because they don't want the headache of either overpaying or trying to track down rare stuff. They just want a fun, cool toy.
>When you be collectin' cool lookin' figures, but he only be makin' men in spandex figures
>>11643361Now ask yourself why they would lie about this? The reason is because they already released multiple figures with lead paint. We need an anon to test McFarlane’s figures for lead, I guarantee they test positive
>>11643361>>11643609And don’t forget that is the exact same time they pulled mcfarlane from the kids isle
>>11643368Insider here. You're a faggot.
>>11643620Why is it still in Target's normal toy aisle though then? Only Walmart moved it to electronics. I'd be surprised if Walmart was more health conscious than Target.
>>11643626Jarret’s leaking come from his ass again
>>11643649
>>11643659>>11643675Fuck off
The colors really pop together
>>11643680These unironically look great together
>>11643680Does any dollfag actually have both of these to see what they really look like together? I might actually get these now
>>11643680Fixed the height for you
>>11643705gong is taller than mezco
>>11643709>>11643705>>11643680
>>11643705Yeah your probably right
>>11643709yeah, that's why I made robin not as tall as he would be next to mezco batman as shown by you>>11643712
>>11643718I concede
>>11643705Nta but this still works for me
>>11643464They are too small. I picked up the Lex and Clark Kent, because I'm always interested in Superman as Clark and they sculpting looks good. I had heard from other owners that they looked good, but they are too small, even for just a desk. And these were chess pieces. So they were on a taller base. Imagine if they were just on one of those regular flat bases like in your photo?
>>11643712>>11643716I can't get past that smirk on Robin or that teeny lil bulge in his green panties.
>>11643659
Took advantage of the current Target 40% off sale on certain DC and McFarlane items, and ordered this; for $15, I'm sure I'll get that much use out of it. I am sure I'll regret because I'll see it popping up for like $8, but the Superpowers Fortress playset was also essentially half off so I picked that up, some DC Direct Retro (this location was surprisingly well-stocked) and one of the Mega Figs. Todd has the Fortress for cheaper but after I pay for shipping, it would actually be more. They also had a $5 off Circle credit, plus another Circle offer of $5 for every $50 you spent, and with everything else, I got another $15. It's still over-valued worthless plastic junk but it beats becoming an alcoholic like my next door neighbor, who bought two cheap toys for his children, and filled his shopping cart with 1 case of White Claw, 1 case of High Noon, three variety packs of cheap flavored canned Mexican beer plus two frozen pizzas.
HOLY AUTISM BATMAN!
>>11643759Why are you digging through your neighbor's garbage?
>>11643759I got Target to price match PICREL to Amazon (and everyone else, by opening web page after web page), so it was 40% off $69, not $79 as they wanted to originally charge, plus the additional $5 off. I still would rather have lucked into at some discount outlike like the Florida or St. Louis anons, and paid only $7 or $9.99 but I can live with the $34.82.Like I said, overpriced plastic junk but it beats alcoholism addiction to cheap, flavored boozed.
>>11643780>diggingSilly rabbit. Pay attention if you want to properly shit post.We drove to this Target together. It's one of those small stadium monstrosities. In the suburbs. Several hell holes away from our building. He needed new golf clubs and wanted an excuse. I wanted to an excuse to look for toys.It was supposed to be a 'guy's night away from his kids.If you paid attention and exercised proper reading comprehension, you would remember I wrote the words: "filled his shopping cart" - mine was the one with the five McFart's, remember? Plus, his shopping cart was next to mine in the check out line. It was pretty easy to clock what he bought. I didn't even need to wear my Detective Chimp cap or anything. Also, we put the garbage in plastic bags. They go through a chute at the end of the hallway. It ends up in a locked room in the basement parking area. I doubt the HOA wants us either labeling our individual bags or would allow anyone in the sealed room to 'dig' through them. You are such a silly billy, son.Do better next time, 'mkay?

>>11643797>retailers got a hard end date of June for mcfarlane multiverse >figures now coming in July Leaker anon confirmed right againI suspect Todd had too much shit already in the pipeline and they were kind enough to give him an extension
>>11643786Why are you writing fan fiction about your neighbor and you grocery shopping together?
>>11643800Actual leaker here. WB wants toys on shelves during the transition period while Netflix takes over. Mattel is waiting to be told what characters they need to make to align with future DC projects coming out after the acquisition.
>>11643808Just let him talk to himself about Target at 3am, he isn't hurting anyone.
>>11643809No.
Stop talking to yourself you schizo.
>>11643725>>11643473thx, I guess I'll only get rare chars which are hard to find cheap. These are like 8-12$ new. And some like Black Cannary come with a box that's thrice the size and a character history booklet.
>>11643892It's literally one person just talking to themselves.
>>11643897If you are in the UK or EU, they are apparently easy to find. Diamond use to distribute them in the USA so you could find them for those prices at comic shops. But now that they have fucked off and gotten themselves bankrupt and no one knows what the people who bought the name and mailing list plan to do, who knows where to get these. All I know is that they are overpriced on eBay because of the weight, and insurance, since they apparently break easily in transit.
>>11643736>>11643748You’re on to something doodlefag but you are still a fag
>>11643897I'll post some pictures when I get home from shopping. They're cool little statues, probably the coolest statue Starman Jack will ever get

Thanks Todd, youve destroyed my investment portfolio by re releasing Jade. Its cool, though, i still have my NFTs so ill still get a new patio.
>>11644056Don't see anyone saying jade got rereleased. Not seeing it up on the usual places either
>>11644088Mcfarlane toy store sent an email saying she was available. I did find red tornado and blackfire on bbts yesterday. Id atleast skim through the mcfarlane store just to see if anything is back in stock.
>>11644013>StatueshitFuck off.
>>11644120>visiting toot's sitenah my browser says it isn't secure
Will Todd's version of Starman have the zodiac on the back of the jacket or do you think that would be too much effort?Still not confirmation Jack will even come with a cosmic staff.
>>11644135>lois lane has a superman toy on her deskcute
>>11644120>Mcfarlane toy store sent an email saying she was available.I checked--she is available at MTS. But MTS doesn't count as a place one can buy toys, since the actual price of the toy is the MSRP+11 dollars for shipping. And no McFarlane is worth that. They arent really even worth the 27
>>11644132It’s wild that the legit fake mirror site hasn’t been taken down
>>11644123Singapore
You can't explain this.
>>11644276Youtubers are stupid
>>11644238I'm not the bot you retard
>>11644276Not to defend Anthony, but he bases his scores relatively to the rest of the line. The Mafex is an 8 relative to other Mafex, the McF is a 9.5 compared to other McF.
>>11644276Sure you can, Anthony is a retard.
>>11644289I thought he factored in price and t he mafex is much more expensive? Why does he bring up price if he's only comparing within the same line?
>>11644135Did Animal Man or Superboy come with jackets? How Todd managed to skip giving Superboy, the Page puncher figure, a jacket after making Mr Terrific with a jacket is just a frustration i cant deal with. I understand Aminal man not having one but Superboy wore a jacket for years. That jacket is basically his cape so for that to be ignored is just hogwash.>>11644212The shipping is really bad. Anything crossing therocky mtns seems to get a good upcharge in rates. Idk if this is just me but shipping from the west coast to the ms river area is high. Ive only bought there twice and would rather use another store front to shop from if possible. Was Mr. Bones worth the $45 total or whatever it ended up being? Yeah i guess it was but thats a special premium Mcfarlanes toy store EXCLUSIVE figure. Lol.
>>11642910I think the people at DC made sure all the necessary bridges were burned and it would take Disney money to rebuild them.
>>11644383By the time Animal man and that Superboy were made, Todd was no longer involved in this line. If you watch the streams and select interviews, you can see who runs the DC show there now: a guy who used to work for Mattel, a guy who used to be big at DC Direct and their underlings.
>>11644385This is crazy. If ZS had succeeded with his Netflix movies, after this, he could've taken back the reigns at DC and finished his trilogy. Too bad he chose Rebel Moon.
>>11644401He's not a character creator or a writer. He's an aesthetical artist. Only NF would have gambled on him creating something new.
vigilante with out guns, so fun.could mcfarlane get away with just selling gun packs that coincidentally fit with their characters?
>>11644444He already did. Gun pack 2 had an unmistakable version of Frankenstein's gun from 7 soldiers of victory
>>11644444As long it's kept to online stores DC has no reason believe Amerimutt parents will see the evil conspiracy that's occurring.
>2026>still being on todd's wild rideyou know matt will make everything alright when they start releasing figuressave your money
>>11644454I feel like that is more likely to be some guy named Matt who will sweep in and make third party figures rather than Mattel given their track record.
>>11644463Matt;s old figures were rough but had souls and better articulation than Todd's. With modern era tech Matt will make every good.
>>11644465I like this meme of Matt promoters speaking in strange english like "Matt will make every good."And look, Matt has already done cloth goods before!
>>11644463Mattel is apparently good with things again after all the HE-money. I can't blame them over skimping out during the Avengers era, with Marvel completely kicking DC ass in merch sales every which way. Why spend the money on good sculpts nobody will buy because they want 50 different Iron Mans?
>>11644480Heman stuff tends to be on sale on many sites. I am skeptical they made a lot from that
>>11644487Walmart still stocks it in store after 5 years running now so they must.
>>11644276
>>11644276Price.
Price should be in a separate score because that can change drastically.
>>11644549And most McFarts are ebay exclusive so MSRP is irrelevant.
>>11644503Based.
>>11644444As long as it a a true Theatrical Deluxe and captures the actor's likeness, with cloth goods uniform, I could care less, Sell it without guns. I already have the first two ammo accessory packs and I already know where to pick up a chain-saw for a 7" figure. Vig in tighty whities with a chain saw is just what my display needs.
>>11644660>>11642667Im not sure whether they mean the hbo version or the comic version as pictured in op. I do hope you get your man panty version one day though.
>>11644276the Todd azbat is a really bad figure, too
>>11644756Vigilante was actually in the golden age of comics and is almost as old as Supes or Billy as that cowboy. And while it's not one of the Timm looking bucks, the cowboy was also the animated version from JLU that most people knew until Arrow. However, it would be very on-brand for the Todd-Father to release as a popular, desirable chase the theatrical Peacemaker series platinum of the current TV incarnation. But also knowing Todd, the chase variant with be the cyborg from Kingdom Come, probably featuring partial reuse of that Cyborg Superman arm.
>>11644777>44777Id be ok with a movie vigilante, because im pretty sure my knowledge or even awareness of the golden age vigilante is limited to a possible appearance in crisis on infinite earths. I wonder what could happen to dc comics if the netflix deal gets approved.

After experiments with many McFarlanes, new rule: any figure with a long plastic cape, with overlays covering wrists or ankles, overlays covering the torso, with diapers that do not curve upwards are the most frequent reasons McFarlanes cannot properly articulate and these should be avoided unless one is buying for sculpt/ aesthetics alone
>>11645399What if I like the character though? You little queens get so uppity over the littlest of things. Must be nice to have a life so uneventful you can spend your day whining about action figures not being made to your exact specifications.
Supposedly my Target Batpattinson cycle was so cheap because it was being fulfilled 'directly by the manufacturer. It even came separately to the other (non-McFart) toy I ordered to hit $35 for free shipping. So Jeez someone will lose money on this deal since they paid for two shippers and it arrived in two days from Indiana? Todd or WB has a warehouse in Indiana? My fucking BBTS pile of look recently arrived from WI via FedEX and that took 7 calendar days. The moto box was fucking dusty as fuck and the bottom of the box looks like it has been sitting on some cheap balsa metal rack because it was all discolored.Bike itself looks good. >>11645605“Toys?”
How it's currently going at McFarlane Toys' DC figures division.
>>11645149I didn't pick up any figures over the weekend but I did buy a bunch of acrylic shoe cases that were on sale and my girlfriend helped me set them up. I've been thinking about buying this London After Midnight figure and swapping out the head with a a Keanu Reeves print to make Shade for my Starman stuff.
>>11645622If you add up the total cost of the acrylic shoe cases per sq ft display space and compared to a glass display case's sq ft display space, you'd probably find it as the same or the glass display case would have more.
>>11645624Nah it was five pack cases for $20 so we filled a whole wall for $100. Mostly it was so she could put her stuff next to mine. The glass display cases are for my miniatures.
>>11645630Ah ok, that's way better than any online deal for such things then.
>>11645633Yeah we pissed ourselves when we saw them. A bunch of coworkers who collect Lego stuff bought a bunch for their dusty flowers and shit, and you can put them on their side to mix up the layout so you aren't locked into one setup. If they start to yellow or bend, fuck it, they were dirt cheap anyway.
>>11645486Oddly enough I wouldn't buy. I prefer the Death Metal design if we're going hyper edgy Batman designs. Something about him here is just too musclebound to be Batman to me. Of course it's alt universe though.
>>11645622I think i know exactly which cases you bought. That could make a nice display, wish that had crossed my mind. >>11645637I came around to the absolute designs, at first i thought they were goofy to an XTREME level but i guess they arent that bad.
>>11645486This is some really gay bara shit.
The people still collecting McFarlanes are starting to rant on youtube about the difficulty of finding red platinums. The years have begun to wear on them, as they suffer under the immeasurable strain of the constant hunt, the daily disappointments at the local shops. You can only exploit the average customer so much and put him through so much suffering before he will stop buying your product. The jig may be up for McFarlane Toys' rarity game.
>>11645775Tell em to post here, they wont have much to say that we havent discussed to death but itd be nice to get a few more non asshole posters.
>>11645790There's a few things left here that this gen could be useful for although mostly only for people still buying some figures. I will occasionally consider a figure if I know it will go on sale at a reasonable price. But there are few mcfarlane figures that can safely play clearance chicken with. Failsafe is one. I'm wondering if it will make it down to $25 or if it would even be worth that. But I doubt even as a megafig being produced in 2025 would lead to enough production to get it down to $20 on sale.
Gong hush Batman will be my last DC figure until Mattel starts shipping. Thanks convincing me. doodlenigger
>>11645819>until Mattel starts shippingI hope the rumor that their kids line is Motu 200x style is true. Just picked up the thundercats and I can see a vast dc line working in this form factory. These guys are so fun. >muh articulation TOY.
I'm so bald now that my head gets cold if I don't wear a hood or hat. Life is suffering.
>>11645843My only reservation is the thought of capes being plastic. Obviously they don’t need to be wired for something like that but plastic capes would ruin them.
>>11645847Derma roller on scalp in the shower D supplement Omega 3 supplement Zinc supplement Magnesium supplement
>>11645850It's too late and it won't fix genetics. Feelsbdman.jpg
>>11645858Might as well try pussy.
>>11645843The 'sort of origins' MotU 200x style would not work as a kids toy line for DC. Those types of figures need to be like ~10-12 bucks per figure and that MotU 200x style has 19.99 as an MSRP. Actual toy lines still need to remember to keep their prices within parents' means as an impulse buy, not something that costs as much as Marvel Legends did only 5 years ago.
>>11645806>clearance chickenThats how i missed out on wave rider and red tornado during its gold label run.i cant fault you for that since weve all done it and mcfarlanes arent exactly the most action packed action figures going right now. Im waiting on latern baz to get the clearance aisle upgrade but after all these months he justs there. Which is a good sign since the store must be selling multiverse figures at a decent enough rate where the store isnt marking down anything yet and gets the shelves refreshed at a more resonable pace. >>11645843What do you guys mean when you say that you hope mattel will do dc like motu? Do you really want origins styled bodies or is it something else? Origins got me back into collecting and ive been following the series since the walmart wave 1. Im just not that excited for more motu or motu styled bodies outside of motu or wwe superstars. They are great figures, and mattel hasnt had many issues with line outside of waves 2-4 with availabilty and some knee issues in lyn or teela. Mattel makes good figures overall if you ask me but im not sure what to expect from their dc line outside of a decent action figure
>>11645865>Thats how i missed out on wave rider and red tornado during its gold label run.i cant fault you for that since weve all done it and mcfarlanes arent exactly the most action packed action figures going right now.McFarlane isn't making much I want right now so I'm good with missing the figures I'd only buy at a reasonable price as McFarlane's prices have gotten less and less reasonable this year. It'll certainly be no loss if I don't get Failsafe, it's just a semi-cool looking robot figure. I'm just keeping an eye on it. I know any female figures will sell out immediately so something like Zatanna or Black Canary is take or leave it at MSRP.
>>11645865>What do you guys mean when you say that you hope mattel will do dc like motu? Do you really want origins styled bodies or is it something else? The new bodies are bigger. With how these are set up I expect we’d be able to get a ton of character along with playsets and vehicles vs the more collector focused line. I just want an expansive kids line really and I’d be happy if they’re as good as these new 200x figures
>>11645885Another example
>>11645888If we got dc figures like this I’d be all in if the price were right. Mattel for play lpzz for display
>>11645892NTA but It'd probably be more than $20 given that MOTU has no licensing costs.
>>11645899There’s no telling really. Our only recent examples are spin master which are very cheap and affordable and mcfarlane which is flat out price gouging his customers. It’s entirely possible Mattel could put out 200x style figures priced at $20 or slightly under
>>11645909Yea we also don’t know if kids products have less of a fee.
>>11645684>>11645610>>11645527>>11645496the autism on this board has been awful of late.but the sheer queenie autismo BS on this gen seriously takes the cakeJesus h. Christ on crackerwhat is wrong with you people
>>11645913Absolute Batman is absolutely fucking gay and anyone that says they like it should be made fun off for being a closeted faggot.
>>11645919
>>11645909The 200x figs would have to be the collector line at that price. Look at Spin Master DC prices, they are much less than anything we pay per figure.
How do you feel about having looks that will never be made again? Do you think there's something interesting and alluring about it?
>>11645990Sure if it's cool shit but those Thomas Duke figures pegwarmed so hard it had to be a factor in why Walmart stopped ordering products from Todd. The weird stuff was cool but he made way too much of it and not enough of the big sellers like Wonder Woman and Power Girl early on. The back to back movies like Black Adam and Blue Beetle bombing didn't help, either.Unless Mattel does something really unexpected, McFarlane's run will be my DC collection with supplements from other ranges. That said, many anons have high hopes for when Matt starts giving us toys so we'll see what happens.
>>11645994That is also a curiosity for me now that I think about it. Imagine being able to say you own the figure that killed a toy line. I definitely remember him pegwarming. Of course we'll never really know and it likely never is just one figure, but rather a consistent repetition of problems. Like remember The Drowned was hanging around Walmarts in the years before Duke. There's also upside to them making more niche characters as they are not all from runs fans didn't care much for. I remember people being really happy that Frankenstein got a figure and I imagine it might be hard for something like this to get made again.
>>11646005Yeah definitely. Todd's paint apps are rough but the detail in the weird monsters and robots like Brainiac were phenomenal.Even AC1000 was better than any other Superman figure that'd been released up to that point, if purely for the sculpted S with metallic red paint. When McFarlane's run was good is was great, but the lows were too devastating and there were too many factors that dragged it down.I think what you're pointing out is why I get so angry at McFarlane Toys when they bungle the sales and marketing angle of releasing a toy, because the sculpts were usually better than everything else on the market. The paint apps were rough but nothing that couldn't be fixed with a little effort. Most other toys on the market are smooth, simpler, and use gaudy happy meal colors. I know I'm coming from growing up playing with gaming minis so I care about weathering, shading, and sculpt quality so I hate everything about this ronald mcdonald aesthetic. That said, there are still a ton of characters Mattel could make that have never gotten figures. A Maxima might have potential.Maybe Mattel will get weird too and go for some kind of Warworld and He-Man crossover where everyone is running around in skimpy outfits with swords and axes.
>>11645775>The people still collecting McFarlanes are starting to rant on youtube about the difficulty of finding red platinums.yet they are incredibly easy to find. maybe i'm just the luckiest boy in the world.

>>11646032is that guardian figure cool?
>>11646050it’s fine. he has a cool texture, and the mask with a face beneath looks good. I expected the shield to be soft trash but it also is fine. that’s the most recent one I’ve bought. cool that Gangbuster is coming along right after.
>>11646050it's a kyle rayner repaint with a new head. it's fine. whatever. it's like asking if a marvel legend on the bucky cap or vulcan body is cool. it's the same as every other figure with it, you probably already know what you're getting into, yknow? it's the best guardian figure ever made but that isn't saying much
I think I want one but I'm not sure and no one is posting cool pics of him
>>11646095Get a new gimmick.
>>11646050Looks kind cool in a Chad is a full body condom and mask with semi visible facial features sort of way.

>>11645621>I heard you're a racist now, Father!

>>11646344His chest might be new with a sculpted emblem. Kinda looks like it but I doubt it
>>11646345There is no way that chest is sculpted, the pic above also looks like it's just paint
>>11646326I don't want to buy one and don't agree that Vic should be on the main team, plus, of course, it's too small, but the Cyborg that Jazz Pacific made for their DC Sonic combo actually looks good. Was trying to find a Batman because I figured I better buy one before they are only scalper copies left, since I don't even want to pay $20 for batwank, I definitely won't eat scalper pricing. And it was almost all Cyborg. The left arm looks especially well done for a weapon arm.
>>11646328Nah, Fire looks like shit in person. She has a giant dilator rod you can see buried in her diaper and the zipper lines from the reused body parts.

>>11646391Yeah I thought she'd be cool too but it's a really bad figure. All the joints and pieces inside her are visible, so it isn't really transparent it's just garbage

Yes, I am sure I want to leave behind a $5 Aquaman, McFarlane Toys. Their FOMO emails are funny.
>>11642667Can someone explain why jack Nicholson doesnt want to sell his likeness?
>>11646620> adds item to cart> gets email about item in cart> this is hilarious
>>11646658It's not that he doesn't want to sell his likeness so it can be on figures. He just wants an obscene amount for it that makes it unaffordable and unfeasible for the toy companies. He's like the Nintendo of likenesses. He thinks his likeness is worth the highest of prices and he refuses to lower the price no matter what. He's like the ebay seller who is selling a mediocre figure for $40 and it sits there for years at $40 and no one buys it. And he doesn't care, because to him he's only selling it for $40 and it's irrelevant what anyone else thinks its worth.
>>11646667The act isn't funny, their wording and their urgency/FOMO attempt is funny when in the context of a movie Aquaman that no one wanted so they had to drop it to $5. I added it to the cart, browsed around a bit more, saw the shipping cost, loled and left.Basically they didn't really stop to consider when writing that maybe not all their products are the bee's knees.
>>11646308I just realized there is no reason to buy most of these figures. What is the point of it? It can articulate a little bit better than roughly half the DCMV figures because it doesn't have a giant plastic cape, but the ratchets will just limit it in the legs and the small feet will keep it from being able to easily balance anyway. It doesn't matter. I don't think they're even trying anymore, what about that body buck screams "ice" to them enough to use for her? At this point people are just buying pretty faces. I can just save a picture of the headsculpt on the HDD and look at it and it'd be as good as the figure. What did I even buy most of these figures for?
All this talk about movie figures got me curious, has Todd done a Ryan Reynolds Green Lantern yet?
>>11646701No and i seriously doubt any will ever do those again
>>11646701Still blows my mind that they somehow managed to fuck up Green Lantern of all properties. Shit basically writes itself. That year was a rough year for super hero flicks. Wasn't that when Wolverine Origins came out too?
>>11646724I don't even recall what people said was wrong with that movie. Bad CG or something.
>>11646732Did you actually, you know, watch it? The whole thing was a travesty. Only saving grace was Mark Strong as Sinestro but they didn't let him turn evil until the post credit scene.
>>11646732It was an early 00s movie in the 20 teens after avengers.

>>11646764>le edgy joke man
>>11646764How long until Matty releases an Absolute Joker do you think?
>>11646782Never
>>11646797Why not? It's absolutely marketable as a toy and the IP is big
>>11646658He's super famous (legit A List actor) and one who explicitly only took the role of Joker because he saw how much money he could make playing the long game in terms of merch (as seen by the fact that his contract giving him a huge cut of the film's merch money). The Joker made Jack set for life financially and he requires huge fucking money from license companies for his likeness rights because fuck you that's why. Dude is insanely wealthy and while he in general is apathetic about the character, knows that he can make insane big bucks off the few suckers willing to pay him for his likeness while also ensuring that it doesn't overtake his legacy via keeping Joker merch rare and few.
>>11646800Do you think he would be happy that McFarlane is literally skirting around paying his likeness rights with an "inspired by" figure. Like if they can do that why even pay for the likeness rights for anyone?
>>11646732
>>11646808He probably doesn't care so long as Todd doesn't use his literal likeness to promote the figure. Todd probably will give the inspired by figure generic DCMV packaging to skirt the issue right down to making the back box/card artwork be some generic Joker image (most likely the new artwork DC commissioned for the 70s Joker series collections) to give him plausible deniability that it's not him skirting likeness rights.
>>11646818Anyone can tell by the outfit just exactly what it is. Frankly I wouldn't risk it if I were Todd. There's no real point. He's not going to make a large amount of money off it anyway since he's probably going to make like 9000 units of it and it'll sell out in a second just like most of the stuff he does now.
>>11646832What actually is McFarlane Toys' obsession with making miscolored Supermen? There was the green skin one and now blue skin. I can't believe these sell.

(d) Only a few the Monsterverse Mega Figs. I saw and thus bought the same Guardian red plat at a Target, no where near my part of the county. And it was the only one they had on their pegs. You can't even find vanilla versions, so of course the plats are no where to be found.>>11646257>always on clearanceMetamorpho's are still peg warming and aren't on clearance yet, specifically at Target. And I've been wanting one to add to my Superman support figures. What worried me about the shied is it looks slightly smaller than it should be. I also wished he came with a second, 'unmaked' head or that at least the helmet came off easily. I never understand why so many Batman collectors are willing to settle for figures that just have him in the cowl 100% of the time.>>11646081>Kyle Rayner repaint I never even bought any of those so why should that matter to me unless there are specific issues with a buck?
