Can anyone explain why McFarlane makes so many versions of the Flash when 90% of them all look either like this or like the initial Rebirth Flash they released? Maybe I just don't see the nuances of Flash's costume, but they really seem like they're just rehashing the same 2 body bucks for him and hardly changing anything, slightly different headsculpts for example. Flash isn't Batman or Superman so I would not expect them to sell well enough for Flash to be evergreen.

Very doubtful given how much buck reuse is needed for their line--plus the fact that the symbols need to change based on different eras or looks so they can justify remaking the character again and again. Like Superman's S changes, Flash's changes, etc. Sculpting it all out like McFarlane Toys tried to do in the beginning was a bold move, bolder than any of you know, but it was ultimately not a profitable one. This is the line that truly destroyed McFarlane Toys and turned them into a company without creativity or artistic vision. It may have seemed like it happened earlier, but you can mistake ignorance of technical idiocy for those. Now they just rehash body bucks consistently just like Marvel Legends or MOTU

Let's be realistic, Matt is not going to make good figures. At best it'll be Masterverse, which while they pose better in the legs than McFarlanes, that's mostly down to having thigh and boot cuts and joints with more give and less harsh ratcheting. Then in the torso and arms they often pose worse than McFarlanes when you consider many don't have ball pegs for the waist (just a swivel) and a lot of the female figures now have single jointed elbows after they started out with double.

And unlike McFarlane Toys who only had to exploit collectors to stay afloat due to nearly collapsing due to so much peg warming and creating tons of new tools... Matt is just like Hasbro, he's corporate. He has shareholders who want their cut. So they will be exploiting collectors from the start.

McFarlane and Matt have been in kind of a blood feud since the beginning. McFarlane turned them down to make Spawn figures because he thought they'd make shitty figures (which is probably true). Then they told him he can't call his company Todd Toys due to some weirdo Barbie little brother character called Todd so he had to change it. Then he blew them out of the water by making great high detail Spawn figures, so they poached his 4 horsemen to make DC figures. He kept going with staction figures, but a lot of his niche retailers like Suncoast collapsed which ended that (which is the only incident here that doesn't seem related to Matt). Then over a decade later he outbid Matt for the collector's portion of the DC license when Matt's DC line was at a low point and he grabbed up one of their people. Then Matt outbid Todd right back when his DC line was at a low point.

Anyway, figures will come in blind boxes in late 26, you may get a torso or head etc but yeah, by this time next year prices will be so inflated that producing entire entire figures and the risk of peg warmers will neccesitate blind boxes in order to keep the prices as low as possible. So what im hearing is that each box will retail for $12 and youll need 5 boxes to complete a figure. The completed figure will be 4.5 inches with 5 poa.
Mcfarlane toys will randomly start putting ground beef vouchers in their ELITE series so if youre really lucky instead of another nft youll get a chance to provide your family with a meal of sloppy joes or hamburger helper.
Chinese manufactured figures are secretly recording you btw, so id be leary of the gong or fondjoy or any of the others.
