>>11642858Looks atrocious
>>11642852>>11642853>>11642854>>11642856>>11642858This is really bad. Swindle is one of the few standout combiner team members that people would probably buy on their own. It's not a good robot or a good jeep/FMC, which is really disappointing because the Combaticon limbs were three for three so far. A cosmic fumble.
>>11642856gotta throw in a trailer to justify the class price
>>11642841>>11642852Chunky boys.>>11642682>yeah they didn't really think that one through. and there's no reason the cylinder can't simply be more of a chin. The original toy also did that (it's so the grey face forms the back of the combined minicon mode) but it wasn't as noticeable. They always manage to make transformation joints uglier, look at the bike mode sides when compared to the original.
It ain't gonna suck itself.
>>11642852>>11642853>>11642854>>11642856>>11642858I actually don't mind him overall, the vehicle mode is alright and the robot mode ain't too bad. Also the trailer/gun carriage is a cool idea. That said the opaque baby blue windscreen is awful, it really needed to be clear plastic. Opaque windows don't work on open-topped vehicles.
>>11642856>>11642858Exhibit #78 of the modern Transformers design team not knowing how to make good looking alt modes to save their fucking lives
>>11642891He's a brick of mustard with a splash of purpleUnmistakably Swindle
>>11642891That's a good alt mode though. You want to see a bad one, look at the lump of parts the Combiner Wars Swindle turned into.
>>11642925one shekel deposited
>>11642852Looks like Swindle, not sure why you autists are getting so worked up over him. Must be a slow day.
>>11642931shills out in full force today
Must be a REALLY slow day lol
$100 btw
>>11642927>>11642936>hasbro cuts back on toy budget>but will pay internet nobodies to promote them to the dozen people What is this narrative and why is it easier to accept than some people are okay with something you aren't?
>>11642941I shan't be purchasing said product.
>>11642942because you're acting like a faggot about it.>GUH not sure why you autists are getting so worked up over him. Must be a slow day.>That's a good alt mode though. You want to see a bad one.But yeah, it's the OTHER people who have an issue with opinions.plus we all know shills work for shit. That's why they're shills.
>>1164285345 dollars
>>11642925Absolutely not. CW Swindle wasn't great but he actually had ground clearance, which is more than I can say for AOTP. He was also a Deluxe and could be an arm OR a leg, as opposed to this thing which is a Voyager and can only be a (rather crappy) leg filler.
>>11642925>b-b-b-b-b-b-buh COMBINER WARS!!!one size class lower btwcould actually turn into two different limbs btw
>>11642968>>11642925Also, CW Swindle wasn't FORTY DOLLARS
>>11642981a little higher anon
CW sis having a melty again, cute
>>11642981I think I paid about $40 for the whole CW Combaticon team.
Haters gonna hate
>>11642989b-b-b-b-but the shills told me combiners can't pose without a frame.....did they lie to me??
>>11642841>>11642852God this looks so fucking stupid. It's like they made the figure 85% correct but then just went 'yeah give them odd legs and mess up vehicle mode too'
>>11642878>That said the opaque baby blue windscreen is awful, it really needed to be clear plastic. Opaque windows don't work on open-topped vehicles. That would make the window shape change between modes impossible and I dig that.
>>11643008I'd take a slight inaccuracy over the vehicle mode being completely undrivable.
>>11642963>Malformed vehicle with visible fist where people should seatThe new one is a box with wheels and still makes more sense than that abomination.
>>11643011>The new one is a box with wheelsyep definitely worth 45 buckaroos
>>11643010Every single transformer with opaque windows is undrivable. And all of those who lack an interior, so all of them other than alternators. It's just about how much you're able to suspend your disbelief I guess.
>>11643013>Moving the goalpostsI never talked about the price, only about looks. You know, the thing being discussed.
Maybe the proportions are blocky because there trans

>>11643016NTA but you'd expect a $45 toy to have a better vehicle mode than a $20 one.>>11643019Chris Cocks is a fat orange?
>>11643021He's just a cocksucker
>>11642990Not really, everyone knows you can pose the legs in an A stance if you buy giant third party feet.
>>11643021>NTA but you'd expect a $45 toy to have a better vehicle mode than a $20 oneI don't see robot hands covering the seats, that immediately makes it better to me.
>>11643024No, instead you have zero ground clearance and an opaque windscreen.
>>11643024But your gona ignore everything else wrong with it?
>>11643016that's great but the price is kind of a factor since we'd have to PAY for the fucker. I'd be a lot more forgiving of the box with wheels if it was freefucking shills
>>11643020BWAAHAAHAHAAAAAAAAno
>>11643025>>11643026>>11643027What part of "new one doesn't look good but old one looks even worse" do you guys not understand? I already called the new one a box with wheels.>But the priceI never talked about prices, you're free to do whatever you want with your money. If you want to complete the new Bruticus you'll have to buy that box with wheels, if you think it's not worth it you just saved money and that's great too.The only thing I said is that saying the CW one is a better vehicle mode is laughable. That's it.
>>11643020That's about $10 more than what Motormaster cost. It's outrageous but not any different from the other base combiner figures.
>>11642931He looks fine to me. Not perfect, but no worse than Vortex or Brawl who are in that same "not perfect, but still pretty nice" category. Also people ONCE AGAIN are judging based on an unflattering render. They never learn.
>>11642858Looks about what I would expect from this line. Could be better like pic related but they gave Devastator a stupid backpack so who knows what they're doing at this point.
>>11643035WE'RE talking about the price asshole. You want to add to the conversation, THAT'S part off it. Or stay the fuck out and talk to yourself.
>>11643046Now this looks like a figure I'd pay $40 for, maybe.
>>11643046Isn't that thing just a bunch of panels and super unsatisfying to play with?
>>11643042>Also people ONCE AGAIN are judging based on an unflattering render. They never learn.people like being whiny little shits after every news online these daysim sure this will be one of the best combiners ever madeit will be a go-to combiner for a while10 years later people who own current Bruticus or Devastator will be shitting on the future gen-Z in /tf/ threads whent the new will be announcedPS:I will unironically screencap this for shits and giggles just to see how things will change 10 years later.because i have a /tf/ folder with posts and pictures much older
>>11643052He was $200. >>11643053Yes. I sold my set because it was so annoying to display and transform them. The whole masterpiece style line of figures is annoying to actually play with.
>>11642852>>11642853>>11642854>>11642856>>11642858Honestly embarrassing how dogshit this isChristHe's like a fucking dented Fridge with wheels taped on The massive tumors on the back of the ankles/shinsThe forearm tumors for no reason
So this sucks because bruticus is muh Boi. But I'm not going to pay 100 bucks for onslaught. There's no way he'd bin though right? I don't want him to be like motormaster and never find one piece of the whole kit for a average price.
>>11643054please just be trolling
>>11643056>He was $200Fuck, for that kinda cash he better come with a complimentary BJ from the delivery driver.
>>11642925>>11643011Bait used to be believable >>11643019Seek mental evaluation and treatment
>>11643060He was a 7 inch masterpiece style third party figure. Occular Max Bruticus series.
>>11643053The Swindle from that set is fine. Intuitive enough. The Vortex is a pain in the ass
>>11643059>please just be trollinghere is your (you)if they released unstable cheap picrel dogshit today you would be first to cry
>>11643061Tariffs aren't a boogie man and corporations have shown they will just pass the extra cost on to customers. The price hike is an extra $10-20 but for transformers that's still egregious. Hasbro could just suck it up and take the loss but why should they when nobody else will?
>>11643065>>11643065>if they released unstable cheap picrel dogshit today you would be first to cry
>Onslaught sold out on PulseFuck.
Why do all modern TFs have these giant torsos with tiny legs? It looks fucking retarded. They can't do proportions at all anymore
>>11643066Yeah, because hasbro weren't greedy penny pinching fucktards who consistently raised prices before 2025. Right.TDS has broken your brain
I remember when a deluxe was a big beefy toy for $10.99.
What's your Autobot:Decepticon ratio in your collection?Does having an excess of one side stop you from getting more before you even it out?
I remember when transformers were made of diecast metal
I remember when a deluxe was a big beefy toy with wobbly limbs and cheap look for $10.99.
>>11643083This was a $10 deluxeToday it would be a $43 voyager that still has a dumpy looking alt mode with opaque plastic windows and clipped wheels
>>11643080Then what are people complaining for? Transformers are an expensive hobby. If you can't afford it then you can't afford it.
>>11643091naw, this isn't a shillfor fucks sake
One of these toys was $10, the other was $25.
>>11643065for the prices they're currently asking, damn right I'd cry.but apparently, we're not allowed to cry about the current dogshit for...some reason.
>>11643092Why even come to a general thread if you won't buy them? What did you expect to be different this time? If Hasbro are being jews, why care anymore?
>>11643090missile launcher wouldn't work either
>>11643096>come to a toy discussion thread to DISCUSS TOYS? WHAT THE?we know Hasbro aint paying for the quality hucksters.
>>11643086i dont see my tf-collection as autobots/decepticons.I mix them and they just hanging out together.i also never bought Optimus because to me hes a bit generic like a mascot or stuff like that. same with Megatron. they are both "boring leaders" just like Leonardo and Cyclops
>>11643086Way more Bots, but thats because Hasbro makes more. Doesn't bother me; I head canon one Con is as strong as two or three Autobots.
Oh he mad
>>11643086I think I'm around a 60/40 or so Decepticon to Autobot ratio right now. I don't plan it like that, it's just the Cons have more low level goons with figures I like as well as more combiner teams, which are 5 or 6 guys right there.Same with BW, I have 2 Preds (Tarantulas and just got Quickstrike) but no Maximals.
>>11643111I didn't see Hasbro being greedy cunts in that list especially since the size downsizing and price up- sizing predate all your shit.rent free autist.
>>11643119current Brawl is the best braw we ever had and for $40 he piss/shits on any 3rd party brawl you cucks paid $200 for.

>>11643123who was talking about 3rd parties? besides this guy who was comparing Swindles >>11643046
>>11643126I have to say, theres been a surprising abundance of Silverbolts on shelves this year, you might be okay.
>>11643119Oh, that’s a weird coincidence given PotP was the same price per Size Class as TR, which was the same as CW, but then Siege and Earthrise (2020) were magically more, then Kingdom was more than them, then Legacy was more than that, and now AotP is more than even that
>>11643126I fucking hate pulse so much
>>11643137gee anon, why didn't you go back farther?
>>11643137wasn't Seige and Earthrise when your buddy Biden was in office?
Hello tfg, could I get a recommendation for a Soundwave, transforming, boxed/new and not too kiddy looking for around $50-ish? It's for a 13 year old. Thanks!
>>11643142>transformingInto specifically a tape player or does a weirdo spaceship work?
>>11643142The most recent Legacy United one is good.
>>11643144whatever works!
>>11643111>Muh Drumpf!Reminder that le bad orange man's tarrifs have nothing to do with the price hikes. Hasbro could easily have kept the prices the exact same and still been profiting. The prices going up are purely Hasbro/shareholder greed, with tariffs being used as an excuse.>"Oh well we weren't going to raise the prices but big bad orange man forced us :("It's purely the greed of the (((people))) demanding constant, infinite growth despite that being impossible. We've been getting shrinkflation since 2011. Remember who was in office then?
>>11643150Then yeah the Legacy United one should be perfect for that price. I really like the Siege/Generations mold but it turns into a fucko spaceship
>>11643066Numerous HAVEIt's just Hasbro being cucked retards and BBTS skimming people for more on "something something Tariffs">>11643083We had it so good
>>11643154I'd be more inclined to believe tariffs have nothing to do with it if we haven't been seeing price hikes on everything we import and not just toys. If it is just greed nobody in power seems to care. >>11643158>Numerous have Who?
>>11643158Reminder this magnificent motherfucker cost less at retail than a modern Deluxe soon will.
>>11643142Titan Returns is easy to find and a perfectly chunky, solid and fun to mess with
>>11643163I miss the Cybertron trilogy so much
>>11643165Landmine is such a cool toy.
>Anon shits himself seething and bring up "Orange man bad">Others post how good we used to have itHE'S GONNA TAKE YOU BACK TO THE PAST
>>11643145>>11643157Thanks!
>>11643169Man, the front wheels on mine pop off so easily when I try to move them to flying mode. Maybe it's just a rerelease thing because the mold is already wonky.
>>11643166Cybertron stuff in general were. Just a shame they're so hard to get complete because of all the gimmicks, keys and minicons.
>>11643169I mean the reason I got back into transformers was because of the WFC line being as good as it was. I had lost interest in transformers since the energon series.
It's always a good day when I can post Dropshot. This guy was $20 but marked down to just $13 by the time I got him from a Target. We'll never have huge transformers for that cheap again.>>11643158I think the first mod I ever tried myself was the one to free up Breakaway's ball-jointed neck, the little cockpit piece inhibits motion until you shave away a small amount of plastic. I'm 99% I learned that from some anon on here when Breakaway was still brand new.
>>11643175Yea I heard that before but luckily mine are good>>11643179WFC era gave us some really cool and fun molds honestlyJust wasn't happy with price jumps on some, minor issues and in some major issues with yellowing affecting what 10+ releases?

>>11643193That's just like, your opinion, man. I think the designs rock
>>11643196they look like big cheap chinese transformers.you just have nostalgay.
>>11643192The yellowing was so fucking bad. My Dreamcast has less yellowing. But it was an amazing time to collect TF. Still mad I missed out on Haslab Unicron though, of all the shit that's sold secondhand from Haslab that is the only one that goes for four times what it cost.
it's upI will need at least 4 of these. thankfully most of transformers coomunity is lame enough to dislike weaponizers so he will be on discounthttps://youtu.be/qHFv8kYkPzg

And Thrilling 30's prices were the same as the original Generations, which was the same price as TF2010>>11643141Biden ain’t my buddy. That idiot screwed this country over. Does anyone ever display their transformers in vehicle mode? I was wondering why I always display them in robot mode when the entire gimmick is they turn into vehicles but I like the robot mode. I keep the dinobots as dinosaurs, since they have some articulation.
>>11643111Gee thanksI'm no longer upset that things are worse now than they were
>>11643241>Does anyone ever display their transformers in vehicle mode?Very rarely. The only ones I really like in vehicle form are the seekers, but ironically they're my favorite bots so I like them even more as robots. Oh and big Soundwave holding a tiny Soundwave cassette player is always fun
>>11643198>you just have nostalgay. What a thing to say in a franchise that milks the halcyon days of 40+ years ago as hard as this one does
>>11643241it dependssometimes i display some of my transformer in vehicle modes if it fits into what happening aroundsometimes not. and other formers keep being "just a car"that's the whole point of why transformers are awesome! you can chose when to keep a robot or a car depending on your mood and fantasy!Isn't it great anon?
>>11643246I have retarded anxiety that I'm not playing with my toys the right way.
>>11643235I ALMOST caved to new Vector and the Toyhax set but there's a new AotP one planned apparently and I wanna know what he'll be like
>>11643247try to think what will be the right way at this moment What if some of transformers wants to be in an alt-mode?
>>11643252I will say transforming the Studio 86 Ultra Magnus gave me an endorphin rush I didn't expect. It was a cool vehicle mode.
How do you guys cope with FOMO? I get that I could just NOT buy something, but what if it's never available again? What if aftermarket prices just keep going up? What if it never resells again?
The new trio of announcements hasn't really excited me. I think the voyager price hike has me being extra critical of Sideways and Swindle, both of whom look kinda shit for their pricepoint.
>>11643272I look at all the bots I have that I could have 100% gone without and in hindsight wasn't even actually all that interested in to begin with, and the fact that I don't have any fucking room for anything. That helps a little.
>>11643272I spend a lot of time looking around online for it not being sold at a retarded price and eventually just start forgetting about it, but it takes awhile depending on what it was. I can't say I've gotten better at coping with fomo but it's never really destroyed me. I still feel depressed I missed out on Unicron but my life isn't worse for not having it. The want might also be stronger then the enjoyment I'd get having it. That's been the case with a couple things I've bought only to re-sell after a couple months when I realize it's just a toy.
>>11643277I had a period where I bought whatever looked cool and now I have a bin full of figures I don't think I could even sell like the Kingdom T-wrecks figure I bought for $50 that now sells for $20. Might just give them away if I can't find anything that's worth the effort in trying to sell.
>>11643277The "issue" is I'm already very selective with the things I might want to begin with, so when I miss out on one it's something I feel like I truly wanted. I guess I could always be proven wrong once I have it in hand, but still.
>>11643306That's just life, in this hobby there's always a high chance some scalper dickweed will fuck you over from buying what you want. It's hard not to feel disappointed but you just have to do what you have to do to cope. Maybe one day you'll come across it long after you stopped looking for it.

>>11643097yeah but i'm okay with that one..at the very least, if toys really wanna do the missile launcher thing, first of all it should be one that actually IS a missile launcher in the source material or whatever, and secondly it should have a 'safety' you can turn on.
>>11643335Holy fuck that owns
>>11643154I mean 'being used as an excuse' is not 'nothing to do with'it's all one big push to destroy all businesses, and it's working.
>>11643160but we've seen that for 6 years now>>11643192oooh I like this!
>>11643211huh, that kinda works aside from lacking elbows.the fossilizers were all just like -almost good-I'm happy with the two I have. the lava triceratops to be TM2 megatron's minion, and Transmutate with the idea of 'oops she tried to scan a beast mode. she isn't very good at it'
>>11643241if transformations weren't so annoying these days, I'd probably regularly get large bunches of mine into altmodes just to pose togetherif I get a more convenient camera setup, I could see taking more regular pics for you guys, but as it is.. I just don't feel I have time.
>>11643359The contrast between transforming my armada figures and the legacy line is pretty funny. I can transform the armada figures like an army guy loading his rifle.
>>11643363I think the modern design team is too focused on making "collector action figures" instead of making fun transforming robot toys.
>>11643335Fuck yeah, hes that botcon one right?
>>11643370I mean more simple toys exist as separate lines, and I'd be lying if I said I didn't want my transformers to be more collector oriented and look as good as the masterpiece line. Sadly there doesn't seem to be a good middle ground for engineering and looking good. Or not anything that would cost under $100 for the most part.
>>11643010Vehicle modes with clear windows are also undrivable. They're toys, you fucking turbo autist.
So, I missed the preorder window on Pulse for Onslaught due to being at work at the time (though I managed to get Sideways - looks like he hasn't sold out yet). What other sites can I check for him? I see he's up on BBTS, but I'm very skeptical of their "Price does not include tariff surcharge" disclaimer (why the hell would he even HAVE a tariff surcharge on him? Hasbro's HQ is situated in Massachusetts, not Tokyo), and I wouldn't be surprised if they tried to tack that shit on as an additional fee if I ordered there. He's not up on Amazon, nor am I seeing him up on Target's or WalMart's sites.
>>11643376The point I'm trying to make is having an opaque windscreen on an open-topped vehicle doesn't work or serve a purpose. On a fully enclosed car it's fine because it's hiding robot bits, but on a jeep or whatever it just makes it look like any driver would be completely incapable of seeing the road for no good reason.
>>11643370which.. I'm okay with. I'd rather transformations not be compromised. In fact I'd like to see more panelriffing chinese magic in some of theseHOWEVER, we need much stronger plastic. These Kingdom guys, I can feel parts flexing, especially the parts like Tigatron's flanks that literally have to be flexed to fit into place.
>>11643067Was stableWasn't nearly $100 a fucking limbOnslaught wasnt nearly $200 on his ownHad a PE kit to improve himHad a tcw kit to make him perfectLimbs could interchange and do scramble city modeYou dont have a right to complain about combiner wars when were at the stage the jews who run Hasbro are now charging nearly 100 a fucking limb, their voyager sized and somehow SOMEHOW they still look like shit

>>11643743I've got the old Cybertron Optimus, but I only have the Nova Prime version of the Siege mold. Still, I think it's probably similar enough for a comparison. In my opinion, the original version from the Cybertron toyline is so much better that it's not even funny. Just about the only thing the new one improved was having ankle tilts. But in every single other way, including size, aesthetic, sturdiness, alt mode, gimmicks, and playable features, I prefer the old one by far! As for whether it's worth the higher price, that depends on how badly you personally want a better toy of this version of Optimus. If you aren't particularly attached to this design, then the Siege one, despite not being a big step down, might still be able to fall into the category of, "good enough."

Cybertron personally is the only good UT series, but even that has a few stinkers that not even a Generations toy could fix. Still, a new Thunderblast would suffice to hopefully work, and I really wish they make the Planet X Soldiers as recolors of the AOTP Cybertron Sideways. Maybe in another troop builder pack, or just go all the way and sell them individually in complete retail, but with the faction switch gimmick removed (as in, no Autobot and Decepticon logos in the slider parts). As for another wishlist item, I want a new Sqweeks in the Studio Series line. We did scratch the surface on The Last Knight stuff, why not go all the way with more TLK?
I have an idea of a new TF series starring Magna Convoy as the protagonist, and Optimus as a supporting role that gives Magna Convoy's power up mode. Theor combined form named Magna Convoy Delta Mode.Apologies for my rough sketch.
>>11643610The commander class doesn't show up easily on Amazon.
