Deadpool and Wolverine Wave 1
>>11654863Deluxe Deadpool
>>11654865Grizzly/Ursa Major
New Riders Ghost Rider
Deluxe Abomination
Punisher Mech
I'm glad all the deluxes so far are not that appealing or have deep flaws. Saves money.
So we basically have confirmation that Professor Hulk is going to be one of these three releases with the tease from the end of the last stream, what do you expect the other two Hulk figures to be? Immortal Hulk since we're getting an Immortal Abomination head?
>>11654879Worldbreaker Hulk needs a new figure.
>>11654879Abomination, Smart Hulk, Mecha-Hulk and Doc Samson were the ones on the leak list
>>11654895>Doc SamsonWhen was the last time he even got a figure? You think they're gonna do him as a regular sized figure or a larger deluxe?
>>11654879Seems he basically confirmed the "deluxe hulk wave" rumors have been floating around
>>11654895>Mecha-HulkNeat
Mafex Jubilee delayed to March.
>>11654906There's gotta be something wrong at Mafex, like all their figures are suffering multiple delays
>>11654908Are you new to Mafex? This is pretty standard practice for them since they've been doing 1/12 scale stuff. You just put a pre-order in and then forget about it, and when it does finally come out, you be pleasantly surprised.
>>11654912I don't pay great attention to mafex unless people talk about it. I have a few but were bought long after they released.
>>11654948Yeah delays are par the course for Mafex releases. They've been like this for years. It sucks but it is what it is. You just add 3 months or so to any given release and you'll be close to it's actual release date. Sometimes it seems like they have a harder time with certain soft goods so they get delayed even further.
>>11654905This is dope.
>>11654865Why couldn't they just release this as an accessory kit?
>>11654974And, I would've been more tempted to buy it as an accessory kit. Even if I don't care about the price of the deluxe, which I don't really, I still would be left with two D&W Deadpools which I don't need. I'm at a point in my collecting where price isn't the biggest concerning factor, it's space. I only have a finite amount of space for these things, and I really don't need to be doubling up just for an accessory pack. I get that they're trying to appeal to people who haven't purchased the first figure, and that's fine. But it wouldn't kill them to also release the accessories as an additional pack alongside the deluxe. That way there's options for everyone. Charge $20 and I would pay for that set. Oh well, I guess there are plenty of third party options that look better anyway if I really cared that much. It's more of the principle of the matter really.I recently bought one of the Fresh Monkey Fiction Operation Monster Force guys and while the figure itself wasn't amazing quality wise, the included accessories were so well done it prompted me to order the additional accessory kit to trick him out even more.
>>11654992i aint reading thatpay up piggy
>>11654994I didn't ask.
>>11654906>>11654912I think the issue is the soft goods; i've noticed her and rogue have been a lot more delayed than their usual figures, which of course always get delayed but never this many times
True thread
>>11655046Yeah absolutely the soft goods can cause issues if they can't get satisfactory results from the factories. I agree with you that that is probably what is going on with Rogue. She's been in limbo for a while now. I had something similar happen with the SHF Ben Kenobi classic verison Bandai just reissued, it was delayed a few months and people were assuming it was because of the soft goods cloak
>>11654905Still have that chunky fellow. I can't wait to not buy Hasbro's disappointing version.
>>11654863Crazy that X-23 sold out.
>Sentinel still hasn't sold outhuge megaflop
Is $27 good value for the recent ML Hulkbuster?
>>11655179200 dollars this close to the holidays means it's gonna take a while. I'd love to get one but I have to make space first
>>11655180Yeah. I thought it turned out pretty good for what it is. $27 is a great price imo. >>11655179What >>11655184 said. I'm actually getting my holiday bonus next week so I'm tempted to grab one if it's still in stock. The main thing holding me back though if I have nowheee to put it. It's so tall.
>>11655179I didn't even know it was still for sale, I thought it was a pre-order only thing. If I had room for it I'd probably bite the bullet, but I already have like four other giant robots just standing around in my toy room getting in the way and I don't really mess with my Marvel stuff enough to add a fifth. It's a neat looking piece, but I wish it's "battle damaged" parts were a bit more extensive as the two little swappable pieces just aren't convincing enough for me.
Why do blue venom and blue punisher look so good?
>>11655216hehehe. kid, c'mon. don't be a joker. that's DC.
>>11655179Because it's a huge figure that only hardcore X-men fans would sacrifice the space for
>chest has sculpted plugs that are glued inShame, but not surprising
>>11655175Well liked character, rarely gets figures, when she does they are pretty shit, first 1/12 version of Daphne version, comes with more accessories than normal and it looks excellent for ML standards. Doesn't surprise me at all.
>>11654860>(Fan Channel)What is that? Do they sell it through their official instagram or something?
>>11655287It means any store that isn't Walmart or Target.
>>11655287It means outlets that aren't standard retail. You'll be able to get it at Amazon, EE, BBTS, Gamestop, etc.
>>11655288>>11655289thank you very much
>>11655216wish i knew. i was annoyed that i had to get the venom to get the captain america but i find him very satisfying. i don't know what it is about the punisher but he feels very nice too. did they change up the plastic for legends this year? everything ive grabbed since retro she-hulk feels and looks better than anything before
>>11655179Didn’t it take like a month for dragon man to sell out? He was also $120 cheaper and it wasn’t the week before Christmas
>>11655369Feels like most of the hangups people have with it are size and a place to display it. That's my biggest hurdle.
>>11655244but you can unplug those things and left a plug whole right? it can be filled with putty or some other things
>>11654865>>11654972you will be better off by getting the mafex instead
>>11655395Yeah I actually got rid of the haslab sentinel because it was too much space for a toy that honestly was never what I wanted anyway. This is the classic look I hoped for and its a little smaller but it’s still a lot of space. The price having gone up $45 is also a big deal; I don’t really even think it was worth the initial 180.
>>11655410Yeah, I really do prefer the way the 97 one looks myself as well, but I'm having a hard time spending $220 for something I have no place for in my collection room. I know I'm gonna be mad if I skip it though. Goddamn it.
>>11654905My first custom Toybiz figure. I still love it to this day.
Is there really a big interest in movie based figures? Don't get me wrong I grew up with Jackman as Wolverine but I would never want a figure with his face.
I'm trying to remember if they did before but has Hasbro ever done "seasonal" themed Legends?I think the Star Wars ones are pretty fun for what they are, and am kind of surprised Marvel doesn't lean into that some more too. I thought there was a rumor of a christmas Spidey this year but that doesn't seem to have materialized. The I Love You 3000 Iron Man is almost a Valentines figure but releasing 2 months later so thats kind of weird.
>>11655460That figure looks awesome
>>11655470There apparently is--depending on the popularity of the movie, although it has shrunk since MCU went down the tubes. Hasbro was able to estimate demand for the FF movie figures pretty well unfortunately, which means they did not really drop significantly in price. I have not seen them go to Ollies either. So they aren't making as many as they used to, but there apparently is a market, just like there's a market for old 80s comic characters.
>>11655470I mean, different folks, different strokes. Some people got into Marvel because of the movies. I mean, I got into Marvel through watching the Spider-Man Animated Series in the 90s. People like what they like.
>>11655495>I'm trying to remember if they did before but has Hasbro ever done "seasonal" themed Legends?I think they've tried to time certain figures to release or be revealed around certain fitting holidays, but nothing outright like the SW guys do with their Halloween and Holiday figures. >The I Love You 3000 Iron Man is almost a Valentines figure but releasing 2 months later so thats kind of weird.Agreed, but at the same time we've been getting releases about a month or two early for the past few years now. I wasn't expected to get my Executioner wave or mini comic wave until January 1st, but I've already had them for like a month.
>>11655470They used to take priority over comic figures for me, but I'm done collecting them post-endgame even though I still watch most of the movies and shows. My last MCU figure was Captain Falcon.
>>11655531I keep saying I've been done with MCU stuff since Endgame yet here I am, getting four figures from the new D&W wave. I've just relented that I'm gonna get what I like, and not try to limit myself to one or the other. Works out because sometimes MCU figures are legit good figures. The Born Again figures come to mind as being contenders for ML of the year for me, just in terms of how well they were done.
>>11655340I'm the reverse, I wanted the Venom and was annoyed that I had to get the Cap figure.
>>11655531>Captain Falcon"Show me ya moves!"
>>11655546I'm the third option. I didn't want either figure that much but decided to pick it up when it was super cheap at Target and was plesantly surprised that both figures turned out to be really good. I'm trying to hold off on grabbing that Punisher 2 pack with Fury, but goddamn it looks good.
>>11655470depends on the design, besides some movie figures can be used as modern look of alot of characters
>>11655340do the rifles look as small in person as they look on the product pictures?
>>11655547A-train lookin a bit different
>>11655730ML weapons are always sized oddly. I don't know why. It isn't consistent either, sometimes the guns are undersized, and other times they're too big. It's kind of annoying.
>>11655730yeah they're undeniably too small. they almost seem like they're 1:14 scale
>>11655743Looks the same to me!
What was your ML of the year this year? My top three were ROM, Maximum Spidey, and Born Again Frank.
>>11655404Have they even announced a Deadpool yet?
>>11655914It's already up for preorder.
>>11655914it went up for PO like 5 months ago
>>11655894ROM, Gamerverse Wolverine, Kaine.
>>11656022Those accessories are way oversized
>>11656021>>11656022How the fuck did I miss this?
>>11655894DD was also good
>>11655179I expect it will not long after Christmas when everybody gets Christmas money.
>>11655504thank you‼
>>11655495They should remake this two pack.
>>11655507Yeah, they actually seemed to get the numbers right for F4 figs. They made enough that it wasn't a chore to get them but not too much that they became an Eternals situation. And to be fair, Eternals was kind of it's own unique beast with Marvel banking on it to be the next big thing and the overproduction of several ML waves at the time. A perfect storm for disaster.
>>11655575I use the Hawkeye show Clint Barton figure as a modern Hawkguy since Hasbro refuses to make an updated version.
>>11656176I'd buy it
>>11656176Marvel toys used to be fun
>>11656051No idea, but they also have both versions of Wolverine, AND the brown suit Wolverine also in the pipeline.
>>11656488I knew they had both versions of Wolverine as well as them just announcing the Brown Suit version as well, I just somehow completely spaced on Deadpool.
Talk me out of getting a Sentinel. I'm very tempted.
>>11656581Its way too expensive for what it is and they fucked up its proportions pretty badly. Thats all Ive got. I want one so fucking bad but Im not pulling the trigger
Gamerverse Wolverine is pretty awesome
>no neck joint>terrible butterflies>no boot cut He was this close to perfection. Hes got the best ab crunch on a ML ever
What are the opinions on weapon x?
>>11656666Probably the best we're likely to get. Objective issues are he could have used some more paint hits, but what ML doesn't that apply to? Kind of phoned-in the unmasked head execution, too.Subjectively, I hate the proportions of the buck.
>>11656581It's too big, it looks like some of those giant 12" shampoo toys stores sell. It is mostly unpainted plastic so it will yellow with age, it doesn't look like a collectible due to lack of paint and shading, they already raised the price once since it was announced so if it wasn't worth it then it sure as hell isn't now, it can't really pose for shit since it's so big, basically all you're going to get is outstretched arms and head movements, it has screw holes when Hasbro is shilling "pinless" but where's the 'screwless'?, the fingers warped on some reviewers meaning they may not be great for long term displays holding figures and lastly it's too big, space better spent on other Legends.
>>11656690Man, the only complaint you listed that I actually care about is it being too big. But then Galactus and the Haslab Sentinel were even bigger. I also prefer the more classic looking 97 Sentinel. Dang, you're not doing it. I'm gonna end up getting one at this rate.
>>11656654>terrible butterfliesHeat him up
>>11656697get it so they can make a better one I can buy
>>11656731Who are we kidding? You won't buy it and find something to gripe about lol
>>11656645>>11656651>>11656653>>11656654Isn't Gamerverse Wolverine freakishly big, though? At least by comic standards.
>>11656745He's almost out of scale with other MLs. Just look at his hands in comparison to other figures.
>>11656745>freakishly big
>>11656772what's perspective?
>>11656581It would make you gay
>>11656798Welp that did it. You've convinced me.
>>11656581
>>11656835Shit now I'm right back to wanting one. Where are you keeping yours?
>>11656745hes basically a 1/10 wolverine for comics
>>11656838Now sleeping right next to me.
>>11656835Nice shot. Still hoping they release a scaled down version of the haslab one day.>>11656176this and the spider-hulk figure would be cool
>>11656843Does he have his own little bed?
>>11656899No, actually, it's standing right by my pillow while I sleep, just waiting for the day an earthquake knocks it over.
>>11654865>those web/thwip handsI lol'd
>>11656964The sound of silence is a Sentinel crushing your head in your sleep.
>>11656964I can only imagine how much plasticizer fumes it's giving off
Damnit I'm going to do it. I'm gonna order the fucking Sentinel.
>>11657171Enjoy the plasticizer fumes such a giant toy gives off. Hasbro assures you they are not dangerous. (But we all know the truth.)
>>11657183Even in a closed space the fumes even a 22in figure gives is so minuscule you would like die from running out of air before dying from the fumes.
>>11657183As if your balls are not full of microplastics. Kys nigger.
>>11656666It's fine. I have the old version and didn't feel the need to upgrade, but I think it went on sale once or twice. So if you get it for cheap you'll be set.
>>11657171I ordered one too. Its not worth $220 but fuck it, theres never gonna be a better one than this unless its a statue.
>>11657264By ordering it you are in fact saying by your actions it is worth it.
>>11657283Ok?
When things are sold out on Hasbro pulse does it mean that they are done and other stores won't get re stocks either?
>>11657321I mean, you have to check other stores to see if they still have stock. Generally, if a store is going to get a second batch of figures in, they'll put them back up for pre-order. But generally after something sells out everywhere, you're stuck waiting and hoping for a reissue. They reissued a bunch of stuff this year though, so you never know.
Merry Christmas, check your Targets
>>11657494I'm not going back only to find nothing.
>>11657587This. Some faggot has already bought everything again.
>>11657628*sigh* C'mon man. Why the f-slur? It's not necessary. Be better.
Merry Christmas Marvel General! Did you get anything Marvel related for Christmas? I got picrel.
>>11657641Shut up niggerfaggot
>>11657647This>>11657641PUSSY
Just talk about toys you dorks.
>>11657641faggot get out
>*sniffff*Yup, here too
>>11657712I literally posted that I got Maximum Deadpool though. What about you?
>>11657731
thanks a lot scamazon
>>11657806what's the problem? That's the normal price.
>>11657644Is this any good? The only Deadpool I still have is the old Toybiz one and it's showing it's age
>>11657806I saw these discounted at Walmart at one point. Not sure why you guys get in a tizzy about certain retailers charging more when you can easily get it cheaper elsewhere.
What would be a non cloth brown armor I could try on him?
>>11657904Kinda like where that is going, anon.
Merry Christmas Marvel General
>>11657889NTA but having to enter a Walmart is a lot different from ordering online
Cyclops not shooting his eye lasers today
>>11657984>scott just now realizing xavier was gaslighting him this whole time and he never needed to wear a visor or glasses
>>11657970It was online.
>>11658030Non-preordered action figures shipped by Walmart now are fulfilled as deliveries from a store, so it may have been on sale online for you because a local store had it but for someone in a different region it may never have been offered for sale. Walmart is now extremely regional in their offerings due to building their shipping network to be based on stores to avoid high shipping costs and the disasters of post-2020 shipping logistics.
>>11658037I saw several different people report that it was clearanced out, but whatever. Keep throwing a temper tantrum about one retailer having an upcharge on exclusive 2 pack that you're not even going to buy. It's Christmas. Don't make me get you a big pile of a coal.
Dragoness is neat. Are there any rumored "bunch of bad guys" sets which could have her?
>>11658057I'm not the anon who had the temper tantrum about the amazon price, just providing information. As I said in the earlier post, "NTA"
>>11658106That's fine. I'm just pointing out that it was cheaper elsewhere at some point.
Didn't know about this thread and I was stuck in that shit one this whole time.
>>11658133I'm sorry for you anon. Welcome to the better thread. Merry Christmas!
NIGHTCRAWLER!!
>>11658175
>>11657193>It just makes you retarded, bro don't worry about it
>>11658095None that I've heard but I think she's really low priority. Even having Stryfe as part of the last villain set didn't do much to sell it so I think Hasbro realizes the MLF as a whole aren't super popular.
>>11657889it's just one weird freak who's obsessed with amazon pricing
>>11658275Nope, I'm the freak who is obsessed with Amazon pricing and that post wasn't me.This is getting out of hand, now there are two of us!
>>11658275I hate that I have to share a hobby with such mentally ill weirdos. It's like goddamn, you can collect toys and not be a sperg. They aren't mutually exclusive.
>>11657984Anthonys cumstains
>>11657904Looks awesome
Any legends reviewers who actually pose the figures instead of just pulling on the joints like they try to rip a beyblade?
>>11658300As more retailers get more malicious with toy pricing there will be even more who complain about their scams. Your anger should be focused at the retailers who are all starting to act like ebay.
>>11658576No. I'm a normal, well adjusted human being so I don't let such trivial things cause me anguish. I just chose to buy from somewhere else and move on with my life. Stop being so mentally ill and try to do the same. Holy shit.
>>11657984jean is mentally blocking his beams while sucking him off
>>11658554Y'all care far too much about toy reviewers and what they do.
>>11658602I just want to see some poses before I buy something, sue me
>>11657831It could be better, it kinda feels like ass, but it looks gorgeous and comes with a lot of bullshit to give to other figures
>>11655894Gorgon is shockingly good but yeah probably Rom
Do the comic GotG have any decent ML figures? Or, are they all like 15 years old?
>>11658629>it kinda feels like asswym?I've been eyeballing the Maximum Deadpool because it comes with most of the accessories the toybiz one did, including Doof, so I could finally toss that one
>>11658650NTA, I'm the guy who just got it for Christmas. The plastic is very gummy and doesn't feel great imo. The right arm on mine too likes to pop off at the bicep swivel, the actual peg is fine, and isn't stressing, it's the socket in the arm itself, it's like it doesn't seat all the way properly. I've messed around with it a bit and it might take some customizing to fix. I've thought about contacting Hasbro, and I still might, but this seems to be a common issue with the figure, as I've seen numerous reports across the internet of people having issues once I opened mine and discovered it myself. The shoulders are very stiff too, and the right arm issue only exacerbates that. I've seen some people use the cheapo Black Panther that is Ollies fodder and swap the shoulders. I'm tempted to do that if I can find a cheap BP for fodder. Otherwise, as the other anon said, it LOOKS great, but it just kind of feels like ass. Which is awful considering this is the premium line we're talking about.
>>11658641If you're referring to the DnA looks, then no, we have no recent figures of the GotG. Closest you'll get is kitbashing the movie figures. They were however doing classic versions a few years back. They gave Drax his 90s looks with Moondragon and then we got Star Lord in his original outfit before that. No word since that though.
>>11658580You only have so many options to buy these toys from, each with their own problems
So after reading Punisher Max and currently reading Fury max. I kinda want to buy this set, those would be my first ML figures. Now the question is how are they in general and more specifically on those ab cuts, do they tend to damage the paint if you move them a lot? I can imagine it being really ugly if the paint at the corners rubs off.
>>11658723It's not enough of a problem to make me sperg out like a retard though
>>11658725They're considered pretty good as far as I can tell. I don't have the set personally, but I have another Punisher they did on the same body and he's great. A bunch of people are praising the set, personally I'm tempted to grab it myself but I have a bunch of Franks as it is, with the Mafex on pre-order, so I really don't need another one. Plus I have a SHIELD Director Fury already so I'm good there too.The ab cuts on these figures aren't bad, but I wouldn't get too crazy with Frank if you want to be careful, on my Punisher that uses the same body I haven't had any issues.
>>11658650Bicep and thigh swivels both feel real bad but also don't actually feel like they're going to break so it's mostly whatever
>>11658725Based FuryMAX enjoyer.
>>11658725I'll just note that $64.99 is not an auspicious price for a Marvel Legend set.
>>11658880It's only $63 on Pulse
>>11658966WOW! What a deal!
>>11658966Well in that case...
>>11658970>>11658971Hey guys, that $2 is a big deal to some of the people here.
So, what was your Marvel toy of the year? For me, I think it's AY Deadpool 2.5. Just an I amazing damn figure. It's kind of finicky but it poses so beautifully and has every accessory I could want for Deadpool. Really just an overall great toy. For ML, it has to be Maximum Spidey. He really turned out to be a lot better than I thought he'd be. Hasbro's definitive Spidey. Helps that I'm a sucker for McFarlane Spidey. Honorable mentions include ROM and the redone Extremis Iron Man. The updates they added to the latter really make it one of the best Iron Men they've done.
>>11659041Well I found a deal too good to pass up on SHF Cyclops and decided to get him as a Christmas prezzy for myself, so I am hoping it's him when he arrives, but aside from that, none of the official figures I bought were actually released this year. I was hoping the X-23 and Warpath pack was going to be the answer to this question at the outset, but it ended up being a flop, so hopefully the Deapool version will be my answer when you ask next year.Without owning (for now) but wanting, AY Gwenom, Gamerverse Wolverine and Fantastic Four She-Hulk look the coolest to me, I should have got Gwenom during a christmas sale that just ended.
>>11659041Gamerverse wolverine Ultimate iron manBorn again daredevil Shf amazing spiderman
>>11659095SHF Spider Man isn't out yet.
>>11659095For anyone that doesn’t understand my list>gamerverse figure>comic figure>mcu figure>import figureAnd correction I meant mafex amazing spiderman 2. Objectively mafex tasm2 is the best marvel figure of the year
>>11659099I fucked upAlso learn to read
>>11659105You posted your correction after I made my post. I couldn't read what you hadn't posted yet. No worries tho.
>>11659111No dipshit you thought I meant gamerverse spidey from Shf I meant tasm2 spidey I know you didn’t read or reread because tasm2 shf spider has been outStop being so confident in your ignorance
>>11659123>No dipshit you thought I meant gamerverse spidey from ShfWell actually, at first I thought you meant SHF Andrew, but he came out last year. So I assumed you meant the Gamerverse one for some reason. Sorry I didn't realize you meant Mafex until after you posted >>11659101. Why are you getting so defensive? It's not a big deal, and I acknowledged your correction.
>>11659127Why are you so hostile?

Talk to a lawyer, get your assets together, keep your cool, don't let her know you know until you're ready to serve her papers. Blind side her. Anyway, to keep it toy related, your picks are all solid. Born Again DD was great, I really liked how Ultimate Iron Man came out, I don't have the other two, but Gamerverse Wolvie does look pretty good, I just already got my definitive tiger stripe with the 97 figure, and then I opted for the SHF Spider-Men instead of Mafex. I have mixed feelings on it, I like some stuff better on the SHFs, some better on the Mafex, just not enough to get both.
>>11659162Nta but if you have the money get mafex tasm 2 spidey. It’s the best figure mafex has ever made and it is the best spiderman figure ever made. For context I thought the best spiderman figure ever made before this was toybiz spiderman 1
>>11658746thank you very much.>>11658880yes ML seems to be more expansive than it needs to be. However if it goes the same way as the other gameverse sets it will be up to 75€ soon.
>>11658670I mainly meant the DnA GotG, and the original year-3000 Guardians. I know we got a comic Yondu a while ago, but dunno anything else.Damn, I'd even take redo's of the first/second Movie designs. The Vol.3 figures have good face printing, but I'm not into these versions of the characters having the DnA uniforms.
>>11659337Yeah. It's really a shame they haven't redone the DnA looks.
>Almost $20 in sales taxYuck, that pushes it over the edge for me. I would've done it at $200 plus tax, but pushing it to $240 is too much for me imo, not worth it.
>>11659425Fake fan
>>11659433I also don't have a place for it. I won't fit on any of my shelves. If I actually had a place for it, I might be more inclined. Where should I put it?
>>11659433Real bitch
>>11659425Im right there with you. I want one so bad but it is absolutely not worth $240. People are completely losing sight of the value of money. This thing should literally be $80
>>11659478>but it is absolutely not worth $240.Wrong
>>11659482No, you’re wrong.
>monkey arms >tiny torso >tube legs with high hips >leftover transformers blast effects >barely any accessories >hat dosent stay on >qc issues Not for 240, nope
>>11659478$80, yeah right. That's unrealistic to expect in today's world. $200, not great, but a pill I could swallow. $240, it's just too much when I don't even have a place to display it. Wish I could justify it more, but I can't.
>>11659486Literally nothing wrong with the proportions.
Guys, which is the better Cable? '97 got the better guns but aside from that?
>>11659494>muh in todays world Tired of hearing this shit
>>11659504As soon as you develop a time machine, be sure to share it with us, I don't like it either, but it's the reality of the situation.
>>11659516I developed a brain that refuses to buy overpriced shit
>>11659520Then you must not buy anything anymore, because everything from toilet paper, to toothpaste, to food is massively overpriced. How do you get by? Genuinely curious if there's a secret.
>>11659498Revoltech 1.5 looks like the coolest, but out of those two, surely it comes down to the style you want right? I think the 97 one has better overall proportions, the other ones is top heavy/skinny legs, but I prefer his face and aesthetic. I've heard the 97 one can also have an annoying issue with the straps where they peg in to the shoulder, sometimes the peg doesn't stay stuck in. I agree with you that 97 is the better overall package though.
>>11659498I have both. I was on the fence about getting 97 Cable since I have the comic version as well as the MvC version that's also in your pic. I ended up grabbing him and I can't say I regret it. It's a good figure. It clashes slightly with some of other comic styled figures but it really isn't bad. The MvC version is also a really good figure. Honestly, it just comes down to whichever look you prefer, both are good figures.
>>11659523>>11659516Nta but if you look at the actual inflation rate and compare prices on toys which are comparable from before we entered the nightmare dimension, Marvel Legends has gone beyond the inflation rate. This should not be tolerated. But because upper middle class people with a lot of disposable income are toy collectors they just keep buying. And this is what hasbro is counting on as ML prices continue to climb.
>>11659533>Nta but if you look at the actual inflation rate and compare prices on toys which are comparable from before we entered the nightmare dimension, Marvel Legends has gone beyond the inflation rate. Not arguing against that. Just pointing out that EVERYTHING is more expensive, so saying something like "I'm tired of hearing about tired hearing about today's world" is silly and tandem to sticking your head in the sand.
>>11659526since you own both which is better to pose/ got more range of motion, do you know If the '97 guns also fit in the hands of other ML figures and do you know more about >>11659525>I've heard the 97 one can also have an annoying issue with the straps where they peg in to the shoulder, sometimes the peg doesn't stay stuck in.
So the only action figure ever made of Flash Thompson is that retro carded Agent Venom? They never made a cartoon toy to go with the Ultimate SM show and it doesn't look like any of the live action versions got one, even though Jacob, Zendaya and what's their face got figures from the Holland movies, correct?Because that Agent Venom doesn't really look like too many of the Flash in the comics but I more familiar with the Ditko era look and the more recent right before he went to space and space Venom runs. I see someone passing off their Ben Riley and other random white teenager-ish blonde male 3D printed face sculpts as 'custom' $30 Flash Thompson heads and it makes me think I should just pick up some blonde AWE or WWE wrestle for $3.99 remaindered, slap it on a civilian teenage reasonably fit body buck and call it my custom Flash?
>>11659658>So the only action figure ever made of Flash Thompson is that retro carded Agent Venom? No.
>>11658966I think the problem is that the price for a single ML should be 20 or maybe 25 at most, which makes those 2-packs ridiculously overpriced even tho you should save money on those sets. However since Hasbro wants 30 bucks per figure now, those 2-packs are still overpriced, wtf are they thinking?
>>11659658They made a Space Venom too
>>11659658>I see someone passing off their Ben Riley and other random white teenager-ish blonde male 3D printed face sculpts as 'custom' $30 Flash Thompson heads and it makes me think I should just pick up some blonde AWE or WWE wrestle for $3.99 remaindered, slap it on a civilian teenage reasonably fit body buck and call it my custom Flash? You may as well, the chances of anyone making figures of Peter's various civilian acquaintances is pretty small. As it is, the only way they made an Aunt May was to make a cartoon version.
>>11659626Honestly man, the articulation is going to be pretty similar. The difference in range of motion is minuscule at best. Really in terms of quality, both figures are on par with one another and it just comes down to whichever look you prefer. Wish I could help narrow your decision down further. As for his guns, yeah they should fit into most other ML hands. I haven't outright tried it myself, but there's nothing making me think they can't. And about the strap, I've seen and heard about it, I got lucky and didn't have the issue on mine, but I've seen some pretty bad ones. it's just luck of the draw tbqh.
>>11659658 The TAS Vulture 2 pack comes with a Flash head that can be used on the Spider-Man body to represent the time he dressed up in the Spidey costume and was mistaken for him by an enemy. Works for the TV Show and comics. That's how I have my Flash on display on my Spidey shelf.
>>11659658>So the only action figure ever made of Flash Thompson is that retro carded Agent Venom?lol
>>11659658flash as Venom has several figures but only one (retro card) has an unmasked head based on modern redesign to of Flash being blonde haired. A more traditional ginger Flash head was a bonus item for a TAS two pack per an old Ditko era story where Flash impersonated Spiderman but no dedicated civilian body to exists for him
So today, I sold my last Retro Spidey for 70 bucks. Which Spidey should I get as a replacement, CT Spidey or Maximum Spider-Man?
>>11659791Maximum. CT is too inconsistent with QC.
>>11659793Just checked out Maximum SM and holy shit, he's still going for 60 bucks?! Fuck that, I'd rather face QC issues than pay that much for a basic-ass ML figure with a few additional accessories
>>11659805IIRC he's the only regular costume Spidey on the market right now so the high price is a latecomer tax
>>11659739its weird that theyre pushing this Agent Venom/Anti-Venom so hard. They should make good characters who never saw the light of day. I guess they know anything with the name Venom sells
>>11659805He used to be 50, but ML is creating a fomo culture (perhaps after seeing it working with McFarlanes from DCMV) so they are no longer making as many toys as they used to, which leads to figures holding their prices or becoming impossible to find.
>>11659937>Casual hasn't read Rick Remender's Agent VenomOof. Big fuckin oof. That run is great.
>>11659940You can skulk most gamestops for them if youre resourceful enough to find the ghetto ones. Just make sure you don't wait more than a few months. Spiderman is probably the hardest to come by at this point though.
>>11659937It'a modern marvel. They're so clueless it's not even funny.
It's time for Mammomax
>>11659663>>11659743I guess I should have been clearer.Yes, I was asking about a figure with an unmasked head.I wouldn't mind both a blond head and a ginger one, since I do like Ditko Flash. But fucking decent spare head sculpts with red hair aren't easy to find.>>11659739I might buy one of those white ones once I figure out an unmasked head I can swap on one. But a masked Agent Venom is not what I meant when I said "Flash Thompson Action Figure," anon. But thanks for the nifty visual guide! Helpful put downs are always better than shit posts!>>11659704That one I came across. I had actually just started buying toys right around then and think I even saw it at a Game Stop or some other place. When I looked yesterday, you can't even really find it on places like Mercari or EBAY except as the loose head if you really fucking look (trust me I wasted an hour) and some idiot wants $25+ and postage/taxes for just that and I am not sure it's that an not some 3D print or bad paint job, since it's just called "custom fodder" on the listing. I'd rather buy an AWE/WWE and repurpose it if it's just a head.
Do those ML figures really feel like rubber?
Im getting blue Venom today :)
>>11660232Did you get him for as cheap as he was going for from Target before the holidays?
>>11660232Based. He really is a good Venom. I wasn't originally going to get the set, but I got it on sale at Target a few weeks back, like >>11660266 mentioned, and I just ended up being way happier with him than I expected. He looks really good in person, and the tweaks they made over the retro carded Venom, like his new shoulders, just really do it for me. He's a good fig, even better if you got him cheap.
>>11660294Lol, forgive the blurry pic, I didn't really notice my camera focused on his legs until I blew it up on my monitor lmao.
>>11658866finished it today, it was indeed great. What should I read next?
>>11660294he does look dope but nut 70 bucks dope.
>>11660298Wrong
>>11660301NTA but reminder this is a $76 toy. That Venom is definitely not a $76 toy. Remember, there are better outlets for quality toys out there for your money.
>>11660298It's $47 on Target.com right now if that makes any difference
>>11660377americans can't stop winning.
>>11660377Wasn't it like 35 before Christmas? Why buy it now for more?
Pleather Remy gon' fall apart, mon chere
>>11660443looks like a rapist.
>>11660298Certainly not. That's why I only paid $35 for the set. Totally worth it at that price. As stated earlier, I didn't even really want the set, but at that price, I couldn't say no.
>>11660423It was, that's what I paid for mine. And it's possible that someone may want that two pack and missed it when it was cheaper, and $47 is still not terrible, considering it normally goes for $60 normally.
Psylocke re-release has hit Targets. Got myself three. Get em while you can.
>>11660616Still not online so what's the point? Im not going on the same wild goose chase that I did back when it came out only to find nothing.
>>11660650>wild goose chase>drive 5 minutes to the store>grab the mobility scooter>drive to the toy isle>look around>ask the qt/3.14 clerk to get it off the shelve for youvery wild indeed
This figure is sick. Something about it really spoke to me as soon as I saw it. If this had been some type of an event exclusive people would be begging to pay $120 for it.
>>11660709please tell me the teeth are painted white from the inside too and not red because Hasbro needs to save $0,000000000000001 on paint per figure.
>>11660650You can always call them and look up the dpci.
>>11660444So you're saying it's accurate.
>>11660650I just opened it and saw her ass in person, it's worth the hunt, anon.
are all Legends heads interchangable? I wonder if game verse Nick furys head would fit on the bodies of ww2 logan and savage land professor x?
>>11660809There are various different ball pegs for heads. I have the 3 pack Fury, that can head swap with Gamerverse, so I can try that out on Chuck and WWII Logan in a bit after I dig them out.
>>11660814that would be very nice of you.
>>11660824Here ya go anon. In reviews for the Gamerverse 2pack I saw that people could swap heads with this Fury head so the Gamerverse head should fit on both Savage land Chuck and WW2 Logan. As far as the skin tones matching, I have no idea. The skin tones on WW2 Logan match quite well with 3 pack Nick and I won't lie, it looks pretty damn good, except that his proportions don't quite work for Nick. It's definitely fugable though, especially if he's in an action pose. The skin tones on Savage Land Chuck however are completely different. At a distance it's probably not bad, but up close it's really noticeable. The head sits well on the body though and isn't over or undersized which is nice. It does sit a tad loose on the neck peg, but not too bad.
>>11660756Most of the female figures have good asses though, anon. I'm more interested in the effect parts.
>>11660709This is the difference between being employed and being unemployable. Toy collectors have no problem being willing to pay for toys they like while gamers endlessly seethe over $10-20 price increases.
>>11660905Have you seen people complaining about prices on this very toy board itself before posting that? People are buying it for 35-47 for a 2 pack. That's basically normal 2 pack prices
When are they going to reveal that tasty Onslaught that I need?
>>11660905Sounds like toy collectors are clueless retards then.
>>11661035No, just unemployeed it seems.
>>11661035What are your favorite Marvel figures that you got this year?
>>11660954>They re-release the Onslaught baf>It only comes with the Red Skull head>The body is repainted with metallic paint so the old Onslaught head won't work with itThere's your Hasbro monkey paw.

>>11661335Fucking kek that's great.
>>11660842thank you very much, you're right the ww2 one does look better, the neck makes a big difference. if there was a very old Nick head it might work better with the jungle charles body, for his nicaragua mission.
>>11661245Outside USAgent getting a new look (ditching the mask for the beret) in the last couple of minutes of the film, they don't have new costumes to shill. Also Black Girl Ghost is still too controversial for a reissue.Be thankful we got the two two packs and movie Sentry
>>11661418I have the older Fury too, I tossed the head in one of my accessory bins so I'm not going to dig it out right now. But I do know the skin color is even more of a difference on the old one, so it definitely wouldn't work. It's pretty ass by today's standards anyway, the 3pack head and the Gamerverse head blow it out of the water. The Gamerverse head seems a bit better suited for a younger, more brash Fury with the messier hair, whereas the 3pack is an older Director of SHIELD Fury with his hair combed properly.
>>11661545Gamerverse Nick is my real Fury, while 3-pack is an LMD in charge of a corrupt SHIELD. Real Nick is working with Frank, Logan and Natasha to expose the UN-tier evil SHIELD does and find out who is really behind the LMDs (probably Doom or Red Skull). Shelf cannon is fun.
>>11661599I don't have the Gamerverse figs as I have plenty of Punishers as is, plus I've got the Mafex on pre order, so I'm good there, plus I don't really need the non SHIELD version of Fury, since my Fury is hanging out with Dum Dum, Sharon Carter, Maria Hill, and some no name SHIELD grunts on my shelf. I did repurpose the old Nick Fury that's on the BuckyCap mold and gave him the Nick Fury Jr. head that came with the 3 pack, so Sam Jackson Fury has some rep, even though I think he's kinda dumb.
>>11661165>>11661243NTA but the question was 'that you own.' Not pictures you had seen on line nor opinions fed to you from TikTok.

No restock on Target online for Psylocke eh? Quite sad
>>11661787I'm pissed that she still doesn't have any waist articulation. Christ, hasbro is so shittily slow about rolling it out to female body molds...
>>11661787Fantastic.
>>11661787>>11661829How do you guys self-insert into female action figures? When I try to play with a female action figure my mind goes blank. There isnt a feminine bone in my body and thus I feel like I cant relate. What do you guys do with your female action figues? Do you stroke their breasts and pussies and buttocks? I own hundreds of action figures and I can count the females on one hand. I just dont get it.

>>11661911>How do you guys self-insert into female action figures?I don't, why are you self inserting into action figures? Why are you playing with action figures like a child as a grown adult? Why are you such an autismo? Why can't SOME of you at least be normal, holy fucking shit?

Can you also teach me to be fun at parties? Also what is life like without an imagination? I have been trying to get rid of it as well as my inner child for decades!
>>11661911Alive internet theory.
>>11661947You little faggots always get so sensitive when called out about literally playing with your toys like a child does. To answer your question, I pose them on my shelves, do toy photography, fiddle with a figure when watching a movie or something, I also do custom stuff. So yeah, in a way, I do play with my toys, but I don't sit on the ground and make up stories and make fwooshing noises and play around with them like I'm six. Sorry that tickles your pickle the wrong way, but maybe consider that it's odd for what I'm assuming is someone in his twenties or thirties playing with toys.
>>11661993You little faggots always get so sensitive when called out about literally not playing with your toys like a child does. So, when youre just “fiddling” with them for your “photography” (OC not posted btw) you have Wolverine in flying poses and Batman shooting guns, right? No, you know who the characters you bought are, and you know how they should act. You then proceed to act those things out in your mind to some extent you apparently havent fully processed yet. Surprise! You play with your toys. Ive read your exact post multiple times over the years; some weird ass cope. Why are you ashamed of your toys? Was your dad mean? Also, Idk where you got the notion I am sensitive about my toys. I play with them all the time and have storylines that have been running for literal decades as I am over 40. Try not to act so pompous on a board for toys, pal.
>>11662027>You little faggots always get so sensitive when called out about literally not playing with your toys like a child does. You even argue like a baby. Holy shit. Not sure if you're actually a child or just fucking dumb.
>>11662033>arguementI wasn’t aware that we were losing our temper. Quite juvenile of you. Also how is this an argument when you refuted absolutely nothing I said. >>11661911The problem isn't that you're playing with a toy whimsically, it's that you're self-inserting into your toys. Nobody does that. I never did that as a kid, and I had action figures of girls like 07 Arcee and shit. You're just weird.

I won't lie this is surprising to me. I feel like the movie wasn't as popular as the MCU used to be, the movie wasn't a dumpster fire, but that's not really saying that much. Have people really just been clamoring for a decent F4 set? I find that hard to believe considering the Retro carded figures were cheap until literally six or seven months ago. Personally, I didn't get anything from that wave. I did grab the Titan Heroes Galactus since he can kinda be fudged in pics and was super cheap.
>>11662734His statement is proof that MCU figures when the normals will buy them have a much wider sales reach than comic figures. Now why the normals bought into F4 figures, I dunno. The movie as mentioned didn't do that great. It's really perplexing to me. I guess maybe they had some notoriety cache from previous movies. While Thunderbolts and Red Hulk vs Cap2 didn't.
>>11662734Seeing how all the F4 figures are pinned shit from the Biden term or earlier, yeah, I'd like a good comic F4 set for once. I'd even take them in their Reborn costumes, but would perfer classic black and blues.
>>11662782The movie figures are not classic looks. There's no way they will stand in for comic looks. Once a new comic wave of F4 comes out, those movie figures will be rendered worthless.
The older figures aren't even that bad. I genuinely don't get why people don't like them unless it's because they were unobtainium because they were Walgreens exclusives.
>>11662796The retro carded ones were widely available. People don't like them because Hasbro has brainwashed every living creature that pins, despite being used in action figures for over half a century, are somehow bad.
>>11662820Nah, they were just overproduced for the most part. The Thing was never as easy to get as the others.
>>11662820With pinless tech improving stability, face print tech improving and hiring competent head sculptors, the old FF simply look and feel outdated compared to everything thats come out in the past 2 years. My Sue falls over every couple of weeks and my Reed has floppy arm joints. The clean aesthetic of pinless is just a cherry on top to the objective quality of life upgrade to my figures feeling stable for once.
>>11662837I dunno, i don't really feel like the pinless figures are THAT much more stable than pinned. I mean I can tell they are a bit, but for a lot of figures, I just didn't have a lot of the issues people complain about with pinned toys.
All this anger over blue Venom..
>>11662851My Reed has warpped-ass legs and those duck feet are embarassing. And remember Sue's face? The F4 need a total redo.

>>11662734>>11662781I think by far the most popular figure was Shalla-Bal. it consistently sold out online whenever it was available. I think people just really wanted her/a female Silver Surfer for their collection.I thought the FF wave actually looked pretty good, but I don't even remember seeing them in stores at all. I ended up buying Sue on amazon and then she sold out right after.
