What sequel set do you actually find to be good? Previous: >>11646434
>>11654943Picrel is a really solid build with an alright interior. Then again I remember Jang saying that it's a really good set like 10 years ago so that might have shaped my view. Also, am I the only one who find the Kylo Ren boxart nostalgic.
Boys, I'm afraid for my legos. I keep rare figs in those small ikea freezing bags and I had them displayed for a while on one of those Ikea lego baseplates that serve as lids for the lego boxes they used to sell. I'm kinda autistic and worry about damage that isn't apparent. Could the baseplate maybe have damaged their heels due to the studs being maybe a bit shitter than Lego baseplates? I mean I don't know if Ikea or Lego make these but they are still official Lego. Also the picrel bags..... are they a viable storage solution? I keep my stuff in closet because I don't really have a lot of room right now. Also should I worry about cold air getting in when I air out the room? Also was having some of my sets displayed on shelves that get some light morning sun terribly detrimental to them? I see no discoloration. Please calm my troubled mind. One last autismo question. I'd ocassionally smoke a ciggy or two in the living room adjacent to my bedroom. Maybe like once a month so there wouldn't be a lot of smoke. The only a big time of smoke was produces was poker night with the boys but that transpired only once. Did I ruin my legos by smoking in another room? They have no smell to them.Fuck I hate being retarded.
>"everyone will change their mind on the sequels in a few years and love them j-just like they did with the prequels!">10 years later I am forgotten dogshit
>>11654943>>11654946Seen a couple TFA 10 year retrospectives on YouTube & comments like these all around I’m feeling the StarWars nostalgia/hate cycle is finally shifting in favor of the sequels & thank god cus there’s a lot to like
>>11655028lollmao even
are sequel star wars the rarest star wars sets in existence?
fun fact, this was the last set to include the cut-in clone helmet, in 2010it also is the first appearance of barriss offee, with a film based appearance i think the set is a reference to the cut order 66 scene where she was to be killed by an at-te on felucia, but i don't know for certain
>>11655028the best the sequels are going to get are ambivalence, only youtube grifters keep up the hate train but everyone else has moved oni don't think anything more needs to be said about them, they were bad and directly caused the public to stop thinking of star wars as a must see film franchisethey also failed to secure a young audience, if children are into star wars today it's because they saw the older films, the new ones have nothing for them to latch on to that wasn't already done better the ot or prequels
>>11655028Don't group me with those fags. I felt nostalgic only for the boxart because it reminded me of a time when I was happier. The sequels are shit and I always thought that.
I literally cannot even remember any new or unique vehicles from the sequels other than Kylo's ship, and that was pretty bland, and made for an equally bland lego set.I guess the First Order troop transport was ok, but any troop transports are ok by virtue of generic troops being nice to get lots of.Though, I guess maybe this one, because the red Sith troopers were cool, but it kind of blew that this army builder only came with one of the generic regular Sith troopers...
>>11655130don't forget that kylo's ship wasn't even correctdisney was being stingy about 'leaks' and gave lego outdated/ incorrect info when they were licensing the sets the set's wings are straight up and down, while in the film they angle outwards
>>11655134to be fair, toy makers need about a year's head start and designs might not be finalized when the toy company gets the drawings.A movie isn't finalized until a couple of months before release, so CGI will be finished around the time merch is starting to be put onto the ships.
>>11655130The crazy thing to me is how Doug Chiang and his team did the designs for the sequels as well as rogue one, Mando etc. The latter have plenty of sovl designs but everything in the sequels is ugly and forgettable. What happened?
>>11655176Director asks designers to make designs.Designers make 50 different variations.Director picks what he thinks looks best.PS, the director has a thing for squinty eyes and no nose nostrilsPPS designers were told the spaceships have be slightly updated OT designs. So it's like hiring the best chefs in the world and telling them they're catering a party for a bunch of autists who only like oscar mayer hot dogs and mac and cheese
>>11655176abrams went out of his way to get ot looking designs because he wanted the movie to just be a nostalgia fest for anhhe's the primary reason for why the sequels turned out the way they did, before he got hired as director of tfa things were leaning more into what lucas envisioned for the sequelsjj threw almost all of that out, and then lied about it later
