I would love to enter the contest and make a design for this but i have no idea how to design sets. how would you even represent minifigs like yugi with his hair?

Support the chassis with a solid base of bricks and remove wheels and test. If the problem goes away you may have a scrub radius issue or the weight of the build may be too much.
