Building these was a joy. They're so creative compared to the paint-by-numbers car builds I've encountered, I was astonished.

I would have liked to get new Roman Collusseum soldiers and African-themed minifigs, too. they used those things to manipulate the judges: look how box-checking we are! aren't we the best?! the whole way they not-said it out loud (by talking around it) was part of how cringe it wasit's because that whole challenge backfired so spectacularly, that they didn't do it again. no more "winning team gets their winning build as a set!" how hard would it have been to make a giant cool spaceship? unique, imaginative shape? some cool color scheme? maybe a colorful planet under it? A neat name for it? something like that would have sold zillions of copies and become an inspirational legend.
Only the best is good enough.
