The TTRPG line is a great jumping in point for new fans and an easy way to get relatively cheap builders and accessory sets for old collectors. So what class would you play? Any guesses on what the stretch goal figures will be? Do you even have space for all these figures? Let us know and share pics while you’re at it. Semi related since fantasy, but I got my D&D Ben Coopers in (well, Superstar). Great set with some very nice colors on the costumes. Also nice to have a small wave to open and not one of 7...
where's Eagalus
>>11722865Hey alright. The colors aren't quite as bright as they're supposed to be, though.
So first two Stretch Goals got hit and the second one is a brand "new" figure with two returning faces. The Monster Builder set is a Dwarf sized figure set with the parts to make either the Demi Vampire, Varg, or a Boarrior with updated hooves. The Add-On price for this guy is $45 a piece. While I was really hoping we'd see more smaller figures in this project, I was honestly expecting Goblins. Conceptually, this is a great idea, especially for new fans who don't have these figures. You could even mix their parts with the Barbarian Upgrade legs to make a full sized figure. ....but I already own both of the originals of these guys and I prefer those looks over these and $45 is too much for me to drop on army builder fodder. Should've been a stand alone figure/upgrade combo like all the others because I probably would've jumped on some $30 Boarriors, but I'm sure others will buy tons of these guys. Next figure unlock is at 1 million, which should certainly happen at the rate things are going.
>>11723026Oh I like this a lot. I Already have Vargg, but I like the idea of giving him a brutish friend. They could be a sort of vampire pinky and the brain.
>>11722865What the fuck are you doing? That's my pic you weird asshole. Why are there so many of you freaks on this board that steal people's images and pretend to be them?
>>11722860I'm so much buying that sorceress.Almost certainly getting the cleric, too, and possibly some others (dwarf?, some unlockable?), but that will depend on the final price. I intend to preorder on some local retailer, not the KS. The KS is theoretically cheaper, but I expect that buying local will beat it once shipping prices and customs fees are factored in. Even if not, the difference should be close and it should be more convenient.
>>11723088I'm already $300 in so the savings per figure will add up to way more then what shipping would cost for me. Even without any of the RPG bullcrap, this is probably one of the strongest waves of figures they've put out to date. Their best figures are when they lean into the ability to make them generic blank slate characters. Unless those two last unlocks are super stellar, must have releases, I'm pretty happy with what I pledged for.
>>11723066He does it in the Marvel General too. Pure autist.
>>11723026It's cool, but they should have kept the Boarrior parts as an upgrade pack. I never liked how the Boarrior turned out with the first release.Really, you hit the nail on the head. It should have been a goblin, with the Boarrior parts and the Varg head and wings being two seperate upgrade packs. $45 is too much for an army builder when I don't want to army build either monster. If it was a $30 gobbo, I'd buy multiples.Honestly, I'm finding myself wanting to prioritise army building over the rpg characters and upgrade kits. I wish I didn't want that damned exclusive cleric/paladin so much. He's worth two orcs, and I have trouble justifying him when I think about it in those terms.
>>11723246>Honestly? >Personally? >Chunkily? >Really? >No bones about it? >Well that was awkward >Gyaat zamn>I just roaring for some gobbo cock for my epic Cooma Display Kino photography
>>11723246>I wish I didn't want that damned exclusive cleric/paladin so much. He's worth two orcs, and I have trouble justifying him when I think about it in those terms.I know, I kinda wish he stayed limited so I wouldn't have even had to worry about trying to get him. As is I plan on getting two of the Red Clerics already, so the the SDCC one isn't just eating funds that could get two more figures, but he's similar to figures I've already gotten two of. At the very least I can skip the Paladin expansion set and just use the SDCC knight helmet on one of the red Clerics. Though I really think the Paladin look should've been the default head of that figure. It seems the momentum of the project finally slowed down, so now it's just gonna be a long crawl to hit the rest of those goals. Kinda wish they had more goals as waiting for the 250k between em will be a slog.

>>11723824
>>11723819>>11723824>>11723826I was just thinking last night the Neve head would look good repainted, but this is some quick ass turn around. They probably had this set already planned and are just gonna cram the red headed face in there since it's already made. I was hoping to grab that head anyway, but having it come with another cool head AND a new set of arms is certainly a bonus. I can't wait to put that red head on my Legendary Warrior.
>>11723819at least this confirms the Female warrior is 1.0 head to toe. Some were debating if the head was 2.0
>>11723854Well she's just Neve with a different head, I didn't even realize anyone disputed that.
>>11723854Something about the default head being comparable to a 2.0 face. People on istagram, Facebook, etc thought they could use the red head from the science officer cosmic legion head pack on it which lead to some back and forth if the neck peg was 1.0 or 2.0.
>>11723819I kinda wish the Neve head had natural colored hair instead of looking like a Seattle barista that you know is going to give you some of the wildest sex you've ever had along with an antibiotic resistant strain of chlamydia.>>11723897I noticed that the Science Officer head pack sold out on BBTS immediately following Sonjagate.
>>11723897>People on istagram, Facebook Well that explains why they were wrong at least. I did try to use the red headed dwarf head on the Neve body, but because her joint is attached to the torso and not a removable neck, it was sitting way too high to look good. >>11724069There's gonna be a lot of disappointed collectors. But at least they can grab an extra Wizard from the KS to make use of the head.
So 4H announced a load of new stretch goals to the project, mostly centered around the actual RPG game and most being added for free to certain pledge levels. The only new one that I found interesting though was the mention of an "Enemies Head Pack". Right now it seems to be something that will only be included in the All-In, but I doubt it'll stay that way. But if they drop a pack of Orc and Skeleton heads (or helmets as the one the skeleton has is removable) it'd be an interesting Add-On. I kinda hate how quickly this project slowed to a crawl though, was hoping to get a few more goals in before it hit the wall. I'm sure it'll blow past a million at the end, but that last figure reveal.....which I'm gonna claim is a Skeleton......is looking mighty iffy. Sadly we'll just have to sit through a month of essentially no news before we get any big pushes again.
>>11725066....nvm, just read some comments on their Insta, the Enemy Head Pack will be a stand alone add on, but added free for all-ins after the stretch goal is hit. I guess that means that have surprises that *aren't* stretch goals....and I honestly don't know how to feel about that.
>>11722860all the heads are too big. looks a bit shit desu
>>11725066Hahaha! They had to revise it cause all those dumbfucks on facebook and instagram would be getting their sets and crying where’s my stuff???? It was unlocked!!!!! This is like a gift this last couple of weeks watching the 3 Neckbeards scramble from stepping in dogshit again and again. Their cheerleader dork getting attacked cause he’s so far up their ass they thought he was an employee. Nope he’s just a super shill. Having their warehouse guys sit up all night to remove heads from hundreds of figures. Then bullshit studios getting attacked by Caball Lickers that they had to remove comments and pics from their posts. This has really been fun and it’s only February.
>>11725066>as the one the skeleton has is removableWas this confirmed?
>>11725119Oh it's keyed? So I guess it'll have a funky hole in the skull. I guess the question is how visible it'll be.
>>11725073You have some serious issues you should have checked out.
>>11725066>extra face plate in the heads packI was going to pass on the heads pack since the coif head and face comes in the exclusive Paladin, but this changes things. I'm always down for more face plates.>Enemies head packDefinitely needed to create some variety with the orc and skelly. I'm guessing it might include a redeco of one of Urzokk's other heads.>>11725123They said it is the same key as the Legendary Barbarian hair. Which I don't own, so I will leave it to somebody that owns it to describe how visible it is.
>>11725119>>11725123That means luscious locks for the spooky one.
>>11725179Apparently the elf rogue also uses the exact same key. You can pretty much make your pic.
>>11725123>>11725167Having just checked my Barbarian....it's very visible. The key is on the head itself, so the top of the head is flat with a large rectangle peg on it. Kind of backwards way to do it, but considering the whole idea started off as a sort of happy accident, I can't complain too much. >>11725179....I actually planned on doing something like that with one of my Belualyth hair pieces and a 2.0 skele head. I'm not a fan of her being the lone zombie in my boneyard, so I want to make her into a long haired female skeleton. Sadly to get it to work I'd have to either gouge off the top of the head or gouge out the inside of the hair and I hesitate to so thoroughly destroy parts to these figures. Pop n Swap is fine, I'll even cut up some accessories since i have so many, but actually chopping into their bits gives me a moment of pause.
>>11725209Oh neat, didn't know that. Should make giving him a hat that much easier. While talking with a friend about the line, I had a sudden idea to make a six man party based on the old MMO Final Fantasy XI and the Elf head on the Cleric body would be a real easy way to whip up a basic Red Mage. All I'd need would be a hat. I've already been working on a custom Warrior from a Red Armory figure, so that just leaves me with four spots to fill.
>>11725215So the peg is on the head and the socket is in the hair? So it's like a Lego minifig head?Yeah, that is kind of backwards to how I thought it would be done. Maybe they decided to do it that way because the head already has the socket for the neck all.
>>11725225*neck ball
>>11725225Uhhh, not quite like that
>>11725225IIrc, they let the factory handle the connection system as everything is initially made as a single piece. From what I remember, the swappable face plates started off as an accident, as they were originally supposed to be glued down. But during some testing the factory forgot to do that and the 4H like the idea of keeping the faces removable. It wasn't an intended choice at the start, so compatibility between faces and heads wasn't a factor. Now it seems like it'll be something they use more often, so they just decided on one system and are sticking with that. Unfortunately what they decided on is yes, the lego head system.
>>11725242>From what I remember, the swappable face plates started off as an accident, as they were originally supposed to be glued down. But during some testing the factory forgot to do that and the 4H like the idea of keeping the faces removableI thought that was what happened for the long hair figures like ghost of Christmas Past and Belualyth. From my understanding the face plates on the knights were always intended to be swappable, which was why Sir Elijah and Adalric were both sold with alternate faceplates. They were the first figures to use the faceplate system, right? Unless I am forgetting an earlier release.
>>11725066>I kinda hate how quickly this project slowed to a crawl thoughmost backer projects work like this sadly where the first week or so it spikes with backers to then see nothing until the last few days.
>>11725254Was that from the Ghost? I thought it was in response to people asking why coif and helmet faces aren't interchangeable. Since the 4H didn't design the system, the factory did, it system was never designed to be universal. Though it could very easily have also been about the Ghost/Zombie hair swap potential as it's very much the same situation. >>11725291Yea I know, was just griping. At least this one hit the goal quickly so we don't have three weeks of trolls screaming how it'll fail and how everything they do is terrible because they used kickstarter.
>>11722860people still buy this reddit slop?
>>11725499heckin gluppo shitterooni macaroni??
>>11725499your containment thread community misses you, sis
>>11722860The skeleton has a mid-torso joint, right? I wonder why they don't have an add-on pack for the skeleton that has skeletal forearms and shins, maybe a skull, maybe other things as well. They don't really seem to want to sell skeletons individually.
Looks like Savage Crucible will also have a dragon of some kind. I guess the question is if this will be a dragon or large draconian type. Maybe a dragon from Melnibone to go along with Elric. The white character in the back seems like it'll be a Toylanta exclusive, so another traveling con exclusive to go with the one that debuted at Zolocon, it seems.
>>11725179It definitely does.
>>11725851And the opposite.
>>11725853
>>11725714Kinda looks like an inverted Nashorn, glad I passed on him because this version looks way better. I also see their Death Dealer back there in plastic, so I can only assume he's close to completion as well. >>11725851That's actually kind of metal.
>>11725066Why kickstarter, they dont have money to do business?
>>11726104I believe they said that the RPG genre is very popular on KS, so it's a good starting point to launch and gain awareness that way. They could sell the figures on their own any time, and they probably will make more 'player characters' in the future this way, but to launch the actual RPG game, which is ultimately the purpose of this KS, they found it best to launch this way.
>>11723819>EDGEHOUNDERS CHARACTER PACK from Cosmic LegionsThose woud make great dreadnok heads.
>>11726104The only reason anyone uses Kickstarter, advertising. Production on everything is already started, this is just an easy way to get a completely new audience invested, literally and figuratively, in this new media avenue they're taking. Considering this is planned to be a retail release project, having a wildly successful kickstarter is a good way to hesitant retail stores to buy in. The market and audience is there, and the numbers will show it. >>11726152Shame they'll be WAY too big for Classified figures.
>street date for retail wave was Feb 18th>March 2>still nothing I'm not backing shit till I get that squared first
>>11726977People are gettin em, I'm just not sure from where. I know BBTS ain't got shit, but that's normal for them. It oould be they're getting their stock from later shipments as the Rising Sons wave was split across multiple boats, but I don't think this is a 4H issue since retailers get theirs directly from the ports.
So they just hit one of the stretch goals to add a new face to the heads pack. It's just the skull faceplate, which imo is kind of disappointing considering the significance of the pledge number needed to unlock it. Would've been nice if it was something new, as this KS seems to have not nearly enough new parts to be exciting for long time collectors. The Necro Dice pack is about to get unlocked too, after that it's on to actually good unlocks. Including the confirmed "Villain Head Pack" set at 935k.
>>11726983They said the singles arrived first followed by the All-in shipments already. BBTS' problem is they get their own cargo shipment separate from 4H sent directly to them and it's always way slower than 4H getting stuff. Presume other smaller shops buy direct from 4H and get it shipped to them from 4H. One I'm waiting on keeps saying any day now
>>11726983>since retailers get theirs directly from the ports.Nah, smaller retailers get theirs sent to Four Horsemen and they distribute them to the retailers from there, which is why 4H posted that the retailer wave had arrived at their warehouse.Like the other anon saaid, BBTS order enough that their stock arrives in its own container that gets trucked straight to them.
>>11726977Got mine from Nerdzoic
So Friday night I got a FedEx notification that my Rising Sons All In was out for delivery, but it was so late I knew it wasn't coming that night. I checked the tracking on it over the weekend and it said it had been delivered last Wednesday. Well fuck, it wasn't on my porch and I live in the middle of nowhere where porch pirates are extremely rare. Got busy with other shit yesterday, so today I get a notification that my BBTS shipment with the two Legacies Legionscon exclusives was at the post office. So I roll down to the post office, and out he comes with the BBTS box and my Rising Sons box which had been sitting there for nearly a week. So not only did FedEx notify me that it was out for delivery two days after it had already been delivered directly to the post office, but the postman also forgot to leave the card in my mail box letting me know I had to pick it up.Whatever, I have it now.TBC
>>11727637First impressions are good so far. I opened Manisha Cinderhorn and Broddr. Manisha is mostly good, but the mid section joint seems to have less range similar to the tabard torso on Delphina V1, like the way it's cut is restricting it from twisting as far. Maybe slightly more restricted than the tabard. She also wanted to pop apart at the waist constantly, but I figured out that the soft goods skirts kept slipping up the waist post as I was reassembling her, so once I made sure they stayed down as I put her back together, she was good. She looks great kitted up.Broddr is fucking amazing. I don't know what else to add that the anon from last thread didn't say. He really does feel like there isn't much to do with him since once you kit him up, he looks perfect.
>>11727645Finally, I also opened Legacies Scaphoid. I was wondering if I would have the old buyers remorse overpaying for the green wings and Turpiculli head, but damn, no regrets. Two QC issues, and one is that his hip seems to be slightly malformed and a leg keeps falling off really easy, but I will give it the hot water treatment once I get some time and see if I can tighten it up a bit. The other is that the slit in his tunic for the wing adaptor is too small for the peg of the wing adaptor. Which would be a minor annoyance, but I was planning to use the Turpiculli parts on the V1 Scaphoid anyway to give the V1 a bit of an upgrade since he is now pretty much redundant, because holy shit the V2 completely overshadows him.I'll have to grab the V1 to kit him up with the Turpiculli parts tomorrow since I have packed away a heap of my older figures to rearrange some stuff. And my thumbs are already sore, which is pretty normal for when a new wave arrives.
>>11727637That sucks you didn't get the notifications, but at least it was a happy ending. I'd hate to feel like someone made off with a full wave of these guys, especially THIS wave of figures.>>11727645Manisha is easily one of the weakest of the wave, mainly because she doesn't feel as "new" as the others. Despite being almost entirely new pieces, she feels like every other 2.0 female out there. She's not a bad figure though, I actually like her a lot, but she's easily the least impressive of the wave. I'd suggest saving Skapular for last, because he is just a whole 'nother level and playing with him might ruin the fun of the rest of the wave.>>11727648At the very least Scaphoid is supposed to be his own army builder, so you can have have multiple of him hanging out. I'm kind of on the fence about grabbing one for myself as I was never too fond of the glowing green bones. But I like the figure's build and I think he looks great without the purple tunic. I did splurge for the Con version of Valgard though, and I feel that was worth the money. He's essentially two entire figuresworth of parts, just add a second torso and arms. Sadly the gold used doesn't match to previous gold figures, but Val's beard is enough to hide the color difference of the older torso.

Speaking of Skeletons, I finally managed to arrange my horde of Legions Bone bros and proceeded to take a *really* shitty pic. Anyone got any good advice for taking large group pics? I hope they do more fat boys like the walrus. I want a fat dragon, and a fat bear anthro...
Rix the skele thief unlocked for the campaign. A $30 addition, and a character featured in the game.
>>11730061I hope so too, it's a good use of the Brute scale to make figures that aren't just slightly upscaled normal characters. >>11730087Well that's fairly random. Not a fan of the choice of boots, but I guess I'm adding another skeleton to the horde. Just when I thought I was done they go and pull this crap. Might even swap this head with the the Skeleton Fighter's head so I can give him the elf's hair. Nice to see more figures added to the mix though, the smaller distance between stretch goals might help move things along a bit faster.
>>11730087It seems he was originally going to be the 1.5 mil unlock, but they decided to mix things up and change things around some. Honestly, I'm glad they did because if he was their final, ultimate unlock I would've been very disappointed. I feel the last figure should be one of their best and this guy is *very* generic (in the boring way) and doesn't even feature new parts. Hopefully the new final unlock, if we make it there, is cool enough to be worth pushing this project to that 1.5 mil level.
>>11730129Seethe
So just random question, throwing it out there. Any Legionbros here know of a good "Knight Shield" that's properly sized for an Ogre sized figure, specifically Ucczajk. I hate that hammer he comes with so I gave him a smaller one from that NECA D&D Dwarf. But on it's own it's a pretty unimpressive weapon. I figure it'd look great paired with a decently large Tower shield so Ucczajk can live up to his knickname.
>>11722860Would the Skull faceplate from the head pack fit the Cosmic Legions faceplate heads like OxKrewe?
>>11730087Ooh. More calcium. It feels kind of redundant with the other skeleton, and could probably have been done with an upgrade pack. But I'll probably add him. Probably.Who the fuck am I kidding. I'm adding it.>>11730457Apart from the one in the ogre accessory pack in picrel (which is currently half price at BBTS), the biggest in Legions is the kite shield that came with Sir Elijah and Sir Andrew, but I don't think that will be wide enough to look good. The wooden shields in the latest Rising Sons wave are much bigger than the old ones from the first Kickstarter. There was a Mithril Action Guardians of the Horde orc/ogre that came with a wooden shield, but I don't own that one, and it doesn't look like it would be much bigger than the Rising Sons one, but maybe someone that owns it might be able to measure it.Those are all I can think of.
>>11730513Yes, they do. I put one of the Oxkrewe faces into the chainmail coif head to test if the new Cosmic head pack faceplates were worth me buying. 100% compatible.
>>11730523Yea, I knew of the Ogre pack shield. but that doesn't feel very "Knightly", and I tried the newer Kite shield and it looks tiny in Ucczajk's hand. Didn't think to try one of the Rising Sons shields, though not the style I was hoping for, they are large enough it may work. I was really hoping to find something more akin to the Demon Souls Tower Knight, a giant tower shield/scutum big enough to block most of an Ogre figure but even the 3D printed stuff out there is too small. Though I do appreciate the suggestions!
>>11730574As I was making that post, I had a feeling that none of them were going to be "knighty" enough. My only other suggestions is to look through 1/6 scale shields like these ones I found on eBay.https://www.ebay.com/itm/275154486067https://www.ebay.com/itm/136363911516https://www.ebay.com/itm/285788781082

>>11731567I like it. Only thing I'd change would be to make his armor a bit different from Nashorn's. Aside from the belt and sheath they're exactly the same (head/helmet aside).
>>11731782Yea, they're usually pretty good with mixing and matching to make new figures, but this guy is a straight repaint with a new head. Darkwolf and Teegra Frazetta Girls v2.0 are up for pre-order if anyone was interested. They come with some extra bits, Darkwolf has an extra head with the pelt drawn back which is cool.
>>11734424I was planning on getting the white tiger to pair with Tyrande, but the one with sabretooth fangs is only the deluxe version and I don't want the armour, also they are really blue which I absolutely hate, I think it looks horrible I have no idea why they didn't make them white with blue shading instead of the other way around.
>>11734424Hot damn, that elf been working her core. >>11734732 Darkwolf is an instant grab for me, I always regretted not grabbing him earlier. But Teegra has always been iffy for me. The hard plastic cloak bit and giant, inarticulate pet cat just seem like extra junk I gotta toss in a bin rather then features and accessories that enhance the figure.
>>11734916The veil cover bit and the loin cloth are both very flexible plastic, it's not really hard if that changes anything. I am in a tricky spot, I was debating John Carter, because I will 100% get their Dejah Thoris, I think she is going to look incredible, so I can't really fit these two in the budget if I'm not being very rash, but I do want them both. I know the FG females aren't the most articulated figures, but for me, they absolutely blow everyone else out of the water depicting the female form. I would take one of theirs over all these dozens of super articulated female blanks that have been coming out or the exaggerated anime proportioned ones, so Teegra really tempts me.And yeah that Sylvanas looks nice, again, I have the Greyknight one it was my figure of the year and I really didn't think anyone would make another one, so that Fury Toys version is going to put me in a pickle. I told myself I would only get one figure of any given character...
>>11734732Oh an just in case, if you already have them and want the new bits, it looks like they are going to sell an accessory pack at some point.
>>11734424Is this the Fury Toys one, or is this another company? Is Fury Toys also making an orc, or is this a comparison pic to show how the Mithril Action orcs size up with it?Though I wouldn't be surprised if Mithril Action is actually Fury Toys. Fury do create shell companies for their Ninja Turtle line.>>11734732Sweet. I kind of regretted skipping Teegra when Nekron was announced.
>>11734952>it looks like they are going to sell an accessory pack at some point. It'll also have Darkwolf's fur gauntlets which were exclusive to a Previews release previously.
Anyone making a new lion figure? I really want an Aslan in my collection, so any generic giant lion will do. I know some companies made wolves and Mythic Legions has that upcoming bear, but what about the king of the jungle?
>>11735468Damn wizards always causing a fuss.
>>11734954Fury, supposed to be the next pre order after the tiger
Letting kids play with large animals doesn't seem very safe, but I guess you can alway re-reanimate them if needed.Btw, got a tracking number for the skeleton horse.
>>11737034.....this is oddly wholesome, certainly putting my little horde to shame. Also, the joints on those animals terrify me. If not for the fact that they look like the could snap at any time, but also for the fact that I can see those things becoming floppy unfun messes in a matter of years. Awesome display, makes me wish I got two of those backdrops as well.
>>11737093Yeah, they are not fun to handle _now_. Some joints are scarily tight, and the smaller ones are weaker and delicate. They give you six replacement joins and I've used three of them.On the plus side all of the joints are generic balls, so you could be replacing them forever and feel like a necromancer yourself.
>>11734939That Dejah appears to have double jointed knees is already a huge step up in possibility from Teegra and Vampirella. Seems like a missed opportunity to not work those into the 2.0 of Teegra.
Have any of you guys who ordered the Blackstone Conan directly from Heroic Signatures had it shipped to you/any news of dispatch or anything? I haven't heard anything from them since their last email months ago, yet he's been available at stores for like two weeks apparently.
>>11738524Nope, no news since I made the order.
>>11738524 I order the deluxe set with all the gear and haven't heard a thing. Didn't realize he even came out.
