Gold-colored plastic always looks like shit.
Mark your calendar and don't forget. There will be a new MC figure that day, they haven't told us what it is yet
>>11733919So, some news regarding Mattel Brick Shop sets! With the piece count compared to the figure count, I’m not sure if these “new micro world figures in dynamic poses” are actually articulated, or if they’re called dynamic simply because the poses vary from figure to figure even though each one is static. The Fright Fighter, though, is a helicopter, which gives it the highest chance of using the old micro action figure system. It’s much smaller compared to Castle Grayskull and Snake Mountain, which are full fortresses. Because of that, there are basically three possible outcomes.1. The “new micro world figures” is just a rebrand of the current micro action figure system. That would be the best case scenario. Maybe the Fright Fighter could carry that legacy even if the other two sets don’t, simply because of its smaller size.2. It’s an entirely new figure system. Whether it’s larger than the micro action figure system, or more or less articulated, remains to be seen.3. Worst case scenario, they standardize the 1x1 stud static figure system. You know, the 1x1 Cortana, Roland, Vault Boy, and Squid Game Pink Soldiers. I’m not against that system, but I’m hoping it won’t end up being a cop out that replaces the micro action figure system. Then again, all eyes are on the Fright Fighter… unless they somehow decide to include a 1x1 Skeletor figure with it, which would honestly be kind of laughable.Right now, the full lineup of Mattel Brick Shop Masters of the Universe movie sets seems to be:>Buildable Display Havoc Staff>Buildable Display Power Sword>Buildable Display Skeletor Bust>Castle Grayskull with micro world figures>Snake Mountain with micro world figures>Roton display set>Fright Fighter display set>Buildable Display Battle CatIt really feels like Mattel has given up on aiming these at kids. Mattel Brick Shop looks like it’s going to be geared more toward teens and adults instead.
Mattel could actually do this for their JP Reimagined subline. They just don't care to do so.
>>11733923I think it looks rad here. I’m going to try to put that gold skull on the movie figure if it’s not too glued in
>>11733927I don't want JP repaints, I want a full on Tyrantisaurus.
>>11733927Does anyone have Hammond collection figures itt? I want to see them next to origins.
>>11733925How did Mattel manage to kill Mega Bloks for good?
>>11733927I don’t understand why they wouldn’t do colorful Dino’s like this. They would fly off shelves. >muh realism Dinosaurs are fictitious creatures so who cares
>>11733937>Dinosaurs are fictitious creatures
>>11733937They do, it's their new survival line. I think the rimagined line is just updating old kenner figures.
>>11729397Realistically, how possible it is for Mondo to make a 1/12 Scare Glow since he didn't appear in the 200x series thus doesn't have a design to be based on?I wouldn't mind an original design or a shorter version of pic related.
>>11733982My guess would be pretty unlikely but not impossible, we already know that:1.- They Love Scareglow, I think minus maybe skeletor and He-man he has the most MOTU love, several versions of the 1/6 line but also the huge sofubi and it's color variants.2.- They are not opposed to doing a mondo take, scareglow himself got scare-mare which while approved by mattel was a MONDO design.Probably gonna depend a lot on how good the 200x line does.
>>11733923blame gold plastic syndrome
>>11733982Even they do it might take a while provided they release first the main characters. They've teased Clawful I think, but I think they also made the Anti Eternia He-man so who knows.
>>11733934I've used dollar store dinos and animals on my shelves before, they looked decent but he man was taller than the trex.
>>11733982Ackshully...he does. He was comic-only
>>11733919We're getting this shit before origins disco skeletor? Fuck me.
>>11733997Man it's reassuring to know Mondo loves him, fingers crossed for a future 1/12 Scareglow then.>>11734015Oh right, I forgot Clawful is in the making too. It's gonna take a while if they plan to release my glowing boy then.>>11734022Man this only increases the chances. I won't say it's guaranteed but at least the possibilities are there, we shall see.
The only characters (to the best of my knowledge) that are hard no for Mondo due to no 200x designs at all (not even 4H concept art) are>Extendar>The Rock Men>Gwildor>Modulok>Multi-Bot>Ninjor>Blast-Attak>Saurod>Blade>The Energy ZoidsEveryone else has a toy, cartoon, comic or concepti art design
>>11733844>>11733845Still have hope that Chronicles will convert to Origins better than First Ones.
>>11733937My daughter has loved pastel and brightly colored dinos since she first said "dinosaur".

>>11733888Duffman-At-Arms
>>11734205200X was too based for this gay earth
>>11733919>>Chronicles figures I'd seen the previous reveal but wanted to see what the stock footage looked like, apparently you can't even pre-order these and Mattel Creations has shit as nothing for the movie all over their site, not even First Ones. And fuck me if Bezolandia wasn't a full-on waste of time (more so than usual) in coughing up prices, etc.)
Im so glad I decided not to get in on the 200X line holy shit
>>11734483Is something wrong?
>>11734460Christ, what is going on with mattel sculpting team. Every teela has look fucking awful other than the CC fig.

>>11734577That's lame, what's with mattel and fucking over scareglow glow?>>11734583I trust that if we get a 1/12 scareglow from MONDO they'll make him glow, but IF it doesn't, I think I would pass, that's an insane asking price for the character to not have it's main feature.
>>11734577Gotta slap on some GiTD paint from Hobby Lobby.
>>11734463Yeah, I loved this dude. I honestly remember buying him from a freds for like $3. Always enjoy a new orko, teela is ok and roboto...idk. >>11734558Lucky duck. I'm in-between vehicles so I can't go look for him. I'd pass IF I got the acala skelly and id drop both for sketch book manny. I missed ss spikor and I'd rather get a origins vykron than he man but damn it all I've got to get that sketch book man e faces. Any idea on a street date, he is out of stock on target.
>>11734463hell yeah merdude
>>11734510It's enough to make a man not want to see his waifu get a toy at all

>>11734724Someone who's not in new movie?
>>11734724maybe was intended to be a masterverse figure before quickly changing it to this?

I got through the snake years, through the endless crossovers and them just realized that none of this matters.

>>11733925>>11733935 I suspect several things... MEGA as a loss leader, Shitty distribution that got worse when Matty bought the company. "Shrinkflation" as sets were re-released - but 1 figure smaller. Lack of follow through. (no Scully with X-files release) "Masterbuilds" bot designed for play. - but rather "something nice for the desk". Lack of support for Vikings and Beyonders masterbuilds by providing more products. Price creep and over-priced mid-range items. (and this one *some* hate - I don't really care either way - slime - ) "Licensing" to LEGO instead of producing a product and "Threatening" LEGO.
>>11735382Here's a picture of Monster High Beetlejuice
>>11735382>>11735404And here's Chucky and TiffanyThey'll make a girl Skeletor
>>11735312I had to tap out when the thunder cats got announced and after seeing the transformer crossover I knew I made the better choice for me and enjoyment of motu overall. If the bad guys weren't so cool looking and the deluxes didn't have a that swanky baf I doubt I would have bothered with tog but I'm honestly glad I did get the tog figures I do have. And it's an unpopular feeling but I do enjoy the snake men being further developed, that's the type of stuff I want to see from the line going forward as we are closing the door on vintage figures. I just don't want to keep buying he mans and skeletons over and over, because I'm like you in that I've been actively collecting since the beginning of origins, it just feels dumb and it kinda bothers me that I'm pretty much wasting $20+ to build a collection that no one gives a fart about other than me, like hoarding in a sense. What I would like is for mattel to explore preternia or maybe even some new person on new world, it worked with She ra so why couldn't a similar idea work now? I just don't see myself being here this time next year if all mattel is offering are cross overs and the main cast in new colors. I know that the movie is coming and that mattel will focus heavily on that and the new customers but they have to give us old guys something. I like to think mattel appreciates our dedication to motu and will not just leave us out the cold.
>>11735410Nta I started collecting after a year break when I noticed they did PoP cartoon Collection but then they only did 4 specific to PoP and I couldn't find a Heman for some reason and gave up again. I bought some crossovers and will buy random dudes like Stonedar here and there. I always only got my favourites and was never a completionist though. I was expecting to get into 200x but I couldn't for some reason. Not detailed enough as the old toys which I liked too much.
>>11735382it's because often boy dolls sell terribly (a common complaint is that mattel doesn't put any effort into fashions for boy dolls)but there's also some collectors that don't want to collect boy dolls at allpeople also think Skeletor will be a girl doll based off leaked hand-shapes being big-sister sized instead of man-sized

>>11735637No, he's right. The face is definitely off. I think it's the five-head that is throwing everything out of wack.
>>11735312>>117352364chan's true original audience is aging and doesn't have the patience for the people who relentless brigade all the boards. Phone posting worsened the experience and since the janitors ranks are often replete with the same type of idiots who are ruining the boards, not much reallly gets done, which again puts off the older users (and by older, I mean guys in their 30s who grew up with 4chan from high school, I don't mean boomers).
>>11735917I'd like to add that there's just not a lot to talk about either. I'm all in on Origins, and Mattel has confirmed that in 2026 it's getting put on a shelf for the movie year.I've loved these generals for years now and we don't get too much low quality posting, but it does ruin a good thread.
I don't understand why they didn't just finish the original line in Origins and then at least it would be a natural stopping point. Instead they did this spin off stuff endlessly
>>11735808>a borf star reference>in my motu generalYou guys always pleasantly surprise me

>>11735928>and Mattel has confirmed that in 2026 it's getting put on a shelf for the movie year.Where does this even come from?I've seen people keep saying Origins is on hold, but the only thing I recall hearing them say from Toy Fair was "Origins will continue as is" and "Masterverse and crossovers were going on hold".

>>11735946Can you post the exact quote with a link please?Because like I said, the only thing I recall being said was thishttps://youtu.be/Om23z0nhWhY?si=otpNsoUa71Q483u31:28Mattel saying Origins will continue as is, the kids line is not replacing it, and they only said crossovers on hold. Continuing as is implies at bare minimum still getting monthly Origins on MCI'm not outright calling you wrong because maybe I'm misinformed, but if there is a contrary statement that contradicts this saying all Origins is on hold, i'd like to see it so I have the correct info
>>11735935Every toy line must end, and Origins is at the end of its rope, there are not enough buyers. They need to finish the original line before it becomes totally unprofitable or the original line will forever be unfinished in Origins style
>>11735917>phoneposting skyrockets >phones have cameras >OC toy content dwindles >other sides have FUCKING HAND POSING I dont understand. I shouldn't be a hypocrite and post my own stuff but I'm old and ruined my back I wish I was joking.

>>11735928>just not a lot to talk about eitherI beg to differ, but not in a dickish way. There are a lot of things that anons would be talking about if there was any excitement for it. For example, 200x has a lot of new stuff out now or for preorder. No one is posting their hot new 200x toys like we would have seen a couple years ago. Stuff just comes out and no one on here spergs out about some nitpicky details or comparing it to the vintage stuff. If there isn't even criticism of them, there must not be a lot of excitement because no one cares enough to post about it.I want to be hyped for the movie and the new toys but its another main cast reboot and this time in two different scales from what came before. That bad ass Scare Glow looks awesome but as soon as the word "exclusive" popped up, all the non-burger fans checked out.I would love it if Scott (the Mighty Spectre irl) did a break down of what Mattel is thinking because it seems like they fumbled so often that they lost all the boomers good will.

Thankfully there have been more posting lately, but it also brought in more trolls too.
Yay! I just bought a Stonedar and declined the grey skull membership thing. What's the point? We've done it for a year and it's pretty solid for deals sometimes but otherwise it's just $10+tax for not much. Could things change and we get another grizzlor situation? That's all it's worth, a chance to be in line for a figure you could just get a few days later.
>>11736414Yeah my membership ended recently and I'm going to keep it off until I actually need it to buy an exclusive figure or something. No need for it otherwise.

>>11736381This absolutely makes me mad. Most of stuff that Origins didn't finish falls in two categories a)It's getting finished - vintage keeps rolling, for all Two-Bad delaying he will happen unless something crazy happens. Club Grayskull and POG continue so Eldor will happen, He-Ro was just last year. or b) They barely started or finish line is poorly defined. Say She-Ra, it was like 5 figures. And where does it ends, vintage characters? What's about Razz, Scorpia, Imp, Star Sisters, Sea Hawk...But there is no bloody excuse for not doing 2 figures with little or no tooling to finish a clearly agreed on, almost finished set of six!
>>11736580You say that like they're both never going to happen at all, ever. I get being impatient for shit, but Jesus. Those two would clearly just fall into the first category you mentioned, and if you've convinced yourself that "no, they're not sure things!" then what makes you think vintage or PoG will "finish?" Club Grayskull could just do Axelslop forever and never do the old geezer. And you're just gonna take Mattel at their word they'll do all vintage, no exceptions, because corporations never lie, go back on their word or otherwise fail to deliver? And you must think Origins as a whole is going to die very shortly if you don't think there still plenty of time and space in the line for them to happen.Tldr you're overreacting.
>>11736589Slamurai and Snake Trooper were in 2023 and Terroar and Lord Gr'asp were in '24. In what year do you think it would be acceptable to start worring?

Bow is taller than He-Man which is just disrespectful imo.
>>11736580>Say She-Ra, it was like 5 figures. And where does it ends, vintage characters? What's about Razz, Scorpia, Imp, Star Sisters, Sea Hawk...By making it "Cartoon Collection", they made the A-list that didn't get made Scorpia, Adora in Filmation suit, Glimmer, Angella, Razz, Imp, Kowl, Loo-Kee.Some of the toy line characters got as few as 4 appearances (and only 1 for Spinnerella!). But numerous fans care more about Entrapta/Octavia/Dylamug to complete the Horde than the Rebellion's B-list.
>>11736441>>11736475Yeah me too, I won't pay full price for red shadow or the grand poobah wizard but for $12? Yeah I'll bite that. They do have some discount for selling your email I think.

How many people do you think will remain with origins and just ignore the new lines?
>>11736774I'll just pick up some Origins on Mattel Creations, yes.Would love for Mattel to include more PoP in it. I'm about ready to expose my eldest to my Origins collection and the Minicomics tome, and she'll be asking about those characters after we get through the 80s MotU ones, and there'll be Filmation cartoons to watch.

Welp
>>11736774Bro, I'm a guy that didn't even accept Cartoon Collection as real Origins despite anything Mattel or tooners try to tell me and stuck with the original line. Until the line I like is either cancelled or leaves me satisfied, I'm not starting anything new

>>11736842how does this even happen? they clearly have different numbers too
>>11736774I'd be willing to at least pay attention to anything that is not connected to the upcoming movie, not another re hash of the core characters or a cross over. Just like I've done with the cartoon collection I pick up a figure that is unique or different enough from the origins figure that I can explain why I bought it. Sn example would be clawful, it looks completely different from the origins figure or say a vultak who doesn't have a mainline origins figure. I got the cartoon skeletor but skipped the cartoon he man, because to me skeletor looks spot on as far as screen to figure goes but he man just isn't different enough for me to buy another version of him. Regardless I doubt mattel will do anything to get me back to level of excitement that I was riding for the past few years.

>>11737052>>11737060We all know about how the discord trannies, Mattel shills, and YouTube manchild mafia want to run these threads like its their own personal playsets.Honest anons can acknowledge how bad the DEI hires at Mattel have bungled what could have been. Shills will tell you that its not Mattel's fault they made a "comic book" Stratos that killed the line. A Stratos who couldn't be comic accurate because it would just cost to much to tool up a feather necklace and belt.>just buy Masterverse Stratos and parts swapWhere did they get the money to tool all the snake later? Fuck no one ever explains that! Sophisticated nostalgia boomers like me can't have nice things we want but we got money for fancy snakes and crossovers. And Rulers of the Sun. Only under Biden would we get a 3 pack of unproduced Sunners but Mattel can't make a New Adventures product because "no one cares" but the suits felt Sunners coul make a go of it at retail?
All the boss fight immortal champions are up on Walmart (except hellboy) if you don’t want to pay shipping. Curious to see the scaling between these and origins.

I would throw my money at Mattel for those if they made it easy but they dont. I spent a whole year reading every article on battle ram blog every day and pouring over the concept art obsessively. Then I bought the Mark Taylor concept castle greyskull day 1 and it had white speckles in the plastic and I returned it. >>11737177I'm not an expert but as far as I know, she only used her hair like hands in Nu Ra.
>>11737230I'm a leaf and I know the pain of not being able to get the exclusives, combined with being kicked in the nuts a second time when you hear about them going on clearance. Are you newer to collecting Motu? >>11737111I browse Walmart at least once a week because I need shelf stable groceries delivered fairly regularly that it's easy to get free shipping on a cheap ($10-13-15) figure combing the crap I need with one thing I merely want. And those aren't really cheap prices for them. Maybe for that brand?
>>11737521>And those aren't really cheap prices for them$30 is the standard pricing for 5.5 inch figures from anyone that isn’t Mattel it seems.
>>11737381>>11737394Seeing you guys respond so positively is the cherry ontop
>>11737055I need Halo Origins now for good future armor
>>11737521Yeah it's a smaller company so it cost more and I'm sure there are licensing fees as well so their figures are priced accordingly. It's a fair price overall and only slightly more than a master verse figure. It's pretty neat to see a smaller company like this to be on walmarts site, I'm guessing it's a collector con special deal? I wish I could see their red Sonja, I can't tell just how much different her body is to a origins female body. Hopefully some day mattel will come up with a new body style for female figures.
>>11737765>I'm guessing it's a collector con special deal?Last year WM got an exclusive glow in the dark blue preorder skeleton. A month or two later they added the rest of the figures. They've been up for a long while now for preorder
>>11737770That's cool, I never would've noticed or even thought to look for these there.

No teases for the reveal tomorrow? It better be Vintage Two-Bad.
>>11738262I have my doubts that a character with as much anticipation as Two Bad is not gonna get announced ahead of time to build excitementIf it's vintage it'll be someone like Twistoid that they don't think will excite anyone so no need to pre-announce him, just dump him
>>11738266Imagine if they announce a Red Shadow repaint.I would laugh but mostly die on the inside.
>>11737871You're welcome anon! They carry larger off brand madballs too. Honestly, getting new madballs left me with an itch for more. In the late 2010's kidrobot did a bunch of licensed ones. I wish we could have gotten some MOTU madballs at some point.
>>11737838Solid little display! I appreciate all the bootlegs and copycats in your collection. I remember the first time you posted that gargoyle guy
tomorrow's reveals will be another artist figure series like picrel. don't even bother tuning in unless you temper your expectations for dogshit.
>>11738336Even if it's revealed, Battleram posted the countdown calendar and the collab is not going on sale until next week, so there's still a different product going on sale tomorrow.

>>11737846>>11738335Thanks! There isnt any funny posing but I didn't want to wait any longer to post some toys.DD is an absolute masterpiece. Not just glazing Zolo but however good this looks in person, its better in your hand. The paint on the metal pieces looks so real. I could believe that this guy would come alive at night and murder me in my sleep.I got the garoyle from a friend who wanted to get into customs and had bought a box of broken Motu figures that he could practice on. Garg was at the bottom of the box and fortunately I noticed him before buddy did something dumb like paint him or snap off his wings.
>>11738589No worries, it's been awhile since we've seen a collection shot like that in these threads anyways. Zolo's offerings have tempted me for years but I've always held off for one reason or another. You know how life can get. Aside from the upcoming boss fight 5.5. Hellboy, I cant think of much I'd jump at besides maybe an official Fuerza T line. I'm still surprised nobody else has thought to license it from Top Toys.Good on you for saving Garg though. He's clearly happy to be on your shelf.
>>11738415I just thought he drew flowers and shit when I googled his art. I didn't realize how insane it was or how he was a MotU fan already. In weirdly really excited about this now after seeing Coral Skeletor.
>>11738809Not sure how I feel about Heman but I love his art. I'll just call this Fabulous Secret Powers of LSD He-Man if he ends up looking like this. It's weird being introduced to artist through a fucking motu toy crossover. Also I think I can actually buy them on their website if they're counting down there right???? They wouldn't just put target exclusives to me a Canadian on a fucking countdown right? He's wearing a leaf on his head you can't fuck another leaf over like that...
>>11738415Does anyone actually have a link to this countdown I cant find it on their site. I found this video though. Coral Skeletor has so much potential to go with Merman and Clawful especially if it's an origins figure and can part swaphttps://www.instagram.com/jamesjeanart/reel/DV_dAECj1uu/

Who is this semen demon in the thigh thighs?I'm so erect thinking that she is the mattel employee responsible for monitoring these threads and she has to report on the frequency and eroticism of my Raz posting.
just need some goof off now for my savage heman/oolar. The stranger things head is the only one that matches the skin tone for the feet and body.
>>11739126>>11739123>gets to go to a live show and show off his toys>gets first dibs to the new heman>has his hotel and everything accommodated, everything else is a tax write-off to his LLC>probably enjoying the break from his wife and kidnah I'd say he's having a great time gossipping with the Mattel employees right this second and making dinner plans with them
So is New Eternia Evil-Lyn having shit QC a known thing or have I just gotten extremely unlucky? I bought two different ones recently and they both had problems right out the box. The first one I got had her entire knee joint fused together. Even cutting deep into the joint wasn't working as the entire knee piece seemed to molded together into the thigh and the calf. So I set up to return that one and get a replacement, but when that one shows up there's a huge tear at her ankle so her foot is just flopping about in the joint. She's also missing half the paint on that same boot. I figured I'd just swap some of their parts around, make one good one and return the crap one to get junked...but apparently it's super difficult to pull these figures apart. The peg for the boot cut specifically is super thin and super deep into the actual boot itself. Even heating them up with super hot water didn't help as I noticed the peg itself starting to tear.Is it even worth trying a third time for this figure, as I've never seen QC this bad in the line.
I'm actually tempted to buy this is anyone else?
>>11739150>buying masterverseshould've done the hot water trick anon
>>11739153I liked the He Man a lot. It fits the artist style and it does fit the Motu vibe, I could easily see this one called "kingdom of flowers he man" or some shit in the 80s

>>11739130>Who is this semen demon in the thigh thighs? He asks without sharing a pic.
>>11739169If there had been a He-Man and Battle Cat gift set in Princess of Power...
>>11739154I did, the first figure the three parts of her leg were all fused together as one piece. No amount of hot water in the world would get that knee to bend. The plastic on the knee joint itself was stretching as I tried to move it, but even cutting that didn't help as the entire joint piece is molded into the thigh and calf. I also tried hot water when I went to pull a figure apart, but that didn't work either. These things are pretty solidly built. I figured they'd pop apart like Origin figures, but those pegs do not want to come out of their sockets and the more I tried the more lose the rest of their joints became. Figured it wouldn't be worth the swap at that point if it left me with a still damaged figure. >>11739153This is honestly kind of badass >>11739169But this just looks kind of sillyI love the concept, but I feel the figures themselves don't really mesh well with the idea. The Origins guys are too stiff and toy-ish, so putting the artsy stuff on top of them just kind of clashes in their aesthetics.
>>11739224Probably means the mousy brunette glasses marketing girl for the stream who opens the show. Tight shirt over big cans, short skirt, and thigh highs on for maximum nerd appeal. Something Hasbro would never do with that whale from their PR team who talks over everyone every stream. The stream is on YT and linked up above.
>>11739169>Easter Knight He-ManFucking kino
>>11739233Oh yeah, the artwork is way better than the figures, but there's no way to do it justice fully, unless these were statues.
>>11738990>"sorry we have the mighty masters but theres no location in the back. We could look for it but *yawns* im too tired..."Fucking walmart wagie scum
>>11739242Yea, I agree with that. I'll be honest, I don't misb often, but I'm tempted to get that Skeletor just to hang on my wall because the packing on that actually looks *really* nice. It's not a figure I'd actually play with so leaving it in a box that nice wouldn't bother me none. Even the He-Man set looks better in it's package.Sadly it's a bit pricey for an impulse buy wall decoration. Understandably so for what you get, but too much for me.
>>11739169Bro, this goes hard. I like it. I know marc ryden did not do it but that's who comes to mind, no disrespect meant to the actual artist I'm just not into modern world stuff. I got sketchbook spikor and it's amazing, the spikes are kinda soft which is neat. I'd like to see the die they used for this guy, I'm just in awe of the spikes. So laser light is $33 and I've used up my meager toy funds on stonedar and the spikor I just mentioned but this laser light he man is a must buy. Idk how I'll do it but I'm getting this he man figure.
Lmao

>>11740328These seem like something that will pop up for $5 at Dollarama in a bit, and I say that in the most positive way possible. If I am able to find them at that price I wouldn't mind getting them. I can't imagine this line will have much depth, but I'd love to be proven wrong.

>>11740691It surprised me, too
>>11740479Ok, I'll be honest. I dont like white paint om Goat Man's face. He looks as if he ate a bunch of cakes and didn't bother you to wipe off the icing.
>>11740890It's like someone said "hey, Beast Man has face paint on his upper lip and around his eyes and nose, so let's do the opposite with Goat Man and put paint on his lower lip, chin and neck" but the idea didn't pan out irl
>>11740890That's the evidence of him stealing 40 cakes to prove how terrible he is.
>>11740931Beasty' paint blends so we'll you might mistake it for his face.
>>11740890Honestly, I thought the whole cover looked like dogshit. I usually am pretty vocal about how bad all Motu comic art is, and just kept quiet this time because even complaining has lost its appeal.
>>11740626Do you mean the art style? It reminds me of a Mad magazine cover.
Have you accepted that collector MOTU figures will cost $27 from now on?
>>11741045No I mean idris elba. He looks terrible as Duncan.
>>11741068Considering there’s a $10 alternative and marvel legends are the same price now yeah I’m okay with it but we all know the economy is about to be destroyed and no new shipments of toys will be coming in. Fuck we’ll be lucky if groceries stores have any food by the end of next month.

>>11741177This man speaks the truth. He will be hated here because he speaks the truth.
>>11741177>>11741179we need more people like this who can call it as it is, scareglows that don't glow might as well be a heman with no muscle
>>11741177Brainlet take>>11741179>paint the bones blackThis man is retarded.
>>11739623Strangely enough, all my store had was the MotU/WWF crossover figures.
>>11741177Calling a domestic figure with import level joints and smoothness trash for being $27 is some real entitled shit. What he’s asking for in this economy with the paint would push the price up to at least $32. In his perfect world this would’ve had to be a Mattel creations exclusive. Shame on anyone buying an easily accessible action figure that’s reasonably priced at brick and mortar.
>>11741179>paint bones black>head doesn’t glow
Scareglow is ringing up $10 at Walmarts (two of four) that have the core class smaller Skeletor on the shelf next to him, probably a sku error. Out of the 4 Walmarts I found him at, only the ones that had both were $10, with SG by himself he was his full ridiculous $27 price. I still couldn't force myself to buy it at nine bucks because the fig is trash. It's not to scale with ANYTHING, not even ML as it's barely under 6" but the body style is fat and stocky. Doesn't match masterverse or origins. And don't get me started on the fact that he's called SCARE GLOW and doesn't even glow aside from the head??
>>11741330This one IS worth $10 and has the Alcala head. Also has knee, elbow joints, ankles and wrists! That's an amazingly sculpted and articulated figure for the price
A couple Walmarts also had these minifigs, straight up 80's design with 5poa (maybe wrists, didn't check) and weapons.
>>11741274>doesn't know the figure has the black outline of bones all over the bodybrainlet
>>11740639Man-At-Arms-And-Elbas
>>11741346That’s not what he said to do you illiterate fuck
>>11741330It will scale with the upcoming Chronicles line which will allow you to buy all your MOTU favorites all over again. That is what you want, don't you? To keep buying...eternally?
>>11741330>ridiculous $27 priceYou’re such a faggot
>>11741334>anklesNo. Are you a troll or just fucking dumb as dog shit
>>11741403No, that's a sleazy move if that's the reason for the scale change. Mattel made their Origins to scale with the original figures so people that had them as kids could buy them for their kids, and both lines would work together.>>11741405I can't see below the name plaque but if it's got wrist joints (hinged, not cut!) its gonna have ankle joints as well. I mean what kind of stupid fucking company would go through the trouble of giving a character hinged wrists and not feet for posing? Hasbro goes out of their way to make sure every Transformer and ML figure has ankle tilts even if it's a detriment to the design! I can even see the top of the boot is separate from the leg meaning it either plugs in or slips on. Either way that means it'll have an ankle joint because Matty isn't so fucking dumb as to mold the entire calf into the foot so they can never reuse those seperate pieces for other figures.
ML, SW, and Joe are all $27.99 now so why not Chronicles?
>>11741436He’s a troll. Report and don’t engage
I’m going to kitbash gold skeletor and movie skeletor
>>11741404Oh sorry Mr "I've lived under a rock my entire life" but I buy all the motu lines so I'm well aware of what they all retail for. Why the absolute fuck would I pay $26 when I could get a Masterverse for $23 that's an an inch+ taller, extra hands, more accessories, alt heads and swappable looks? I don't even buy ML for 26, and I LOVE that line. The figures are simply not worth the money. Mindless One Series? Found them all at Ollie's, 10 bucks. Blackheart series? Whole set at Ross $5.99. Zabu and Nemesis wave? Snagged them at Target's clearance. Rom wave in Walmart's clearance isle where I got the Gamerverse 2-packs for $35 each. Guess what, if you stop wasting your money companies will realize their figures are getting picked up at clearance and not in stores. Have some self control and self respect you mindless child. The moment Dan Yun tried to pawn the Hellcharger off on us for $375 and call it a deal was the end of Hasbro's Legends. Collectors lost respect for the line and it left a bad taste in everyone's mouths seeing as you can pick up giant ass Sentinels for $250. Mattel can follow suit if they think can shrink the figures and charge 3 bucks more. Absolutely ludicrous and predatory business practices.
thundercats monkian at german toy fair
>>11741436Because it's Hasbro and either they're just plain greedy (my opinion) or they paid way too much for those licenses somewhere down the line. No other company's 6" figures cost that much. Mattel's lines, JakPac, Jada, I mean name off other 6"ers they're $24 and under unless it some sort of exclusive WWE multi-head softgoods bigname. That's why these ragebaiting trolls call people 'poorf**s' because they buy at Ollie's and Ross instead of full price. They're bitter and hateful little children with no self control, consuming endless product and characters they probably have no interest in just so they can feel superior paying full price like they're told to by daddycorp. I ask you all. Do YOU feel good about blowing (after 9% tax) $31 for a figure? Or do you cherish a figure you were looking forward to at Ross for $9.99? Or when you hit Walmart's clearance lane and find all the Masterverse figures there for $11? What figure in your collection pleases you more, the overpriced or the underpriced? It's the same with people whining about tariffs and shipping costs. Simply don't pay it. When enough people do the same, those figures end up on bbts clearance with $4 flat fee or at Ollie's for less than half price. Either the companies will realize their folly and make things cheaper, or we'll keep getting them at bargain stores until they go out of business.>>11741446See>>11741252
>>11741453>Absolutely ludicrous and predatory business practices. If the xisters on discord hadn't had them chopped off, this trvth nvke would really rustle their jimmies. I stopped buying Motu a long time ago and it feels better than being a paypiggy. Imagine how many Beast Mans and Man-at-Arms I'd own..fuck finding space for that. And there would be more on pre-order. Mattel could have done it right with Club Payskull. Sure I'll pay some bullshit membership fee if it meant getting the fan deep cut characters, hassle free.

And the chick, granita?, just deserves a figure, hopefully a box set with the meteorbs. Offering them up as a set just seems to make sense for mattel, they won't be a high demand figure individually imo so a set would help make sure they won't be stuck with inventory. >>11733919>walmart spends the entire week being lazy cocksuckers who refuse to go into the back to get scareglow even though there are eight in the back because "durr no location found">go today and they say all 8 are out on the floor but all the new shit is all mismatched and in different aisles i cant even find scareglowIm fucking done. If walmart wants to be such belligerent lazy fucking niggers who wont do their jobs properly and make it like pulling teeth to even get their products then i dont even want to buy scareglow anymore out of burning spite. I have ti hold back the urge to punch out and beat the shit out of these brain dead hick monkey workers for being such subhuman rats. I cant take this shitty hobby anymore all it does is make me feel eternal rage i just wanted a fucking toy for gods sake.
>>11745681Man, there was a Tumblr or blogspot I had saved that covered nothing but bootleg motu stuff. Ugh, anyone know what I'm talking about? >>1174563My store got jack. Nothing. Zilch. Two pegs of superstars but I'm waiting for those to get marked down since no one but me wants them. Oh and the WWE/SF figures but those don't catch my eye. I'm having car trouble so going on toy hunts is not a viable option. I just want the gold skelly, maybe scareglow since he looks rad AF regardless of which line he came from.
>>11745964Isnt Formo Toys already doing that?>>11746229It rings a bell but I dont recall any specifics. There was also one for the bootleg colombian super powers line "defensores de la tierra" but the guy deleted it some years back. These days blacktubbootlegs and phelous are the only guys discussing the niche.
