Why does Hasbro need to resort to releasing Takara’s products to replace their slop?Previous:>>11742252
>>11747738how much is that box, $500?
I finally remembered to unbox Lio. Some joints feel more loose than you would want from premium TF product, but that's my only real complaint. Really nice looking bot and beast modes.
>>11747741220
Beast mode looks like a pokemon, though that's not a bad thing.
>>11747738>>11747751>220holy shit this is perfectI will buy this box and build a time machine and gift it to a kid-me back in the 90s
I have all the original Kingdom releases, but I'm tempted by this just for Black Arachnia. Looks better to the point of almost looking like a different toy.
>Just want Hasbro to release a Super Ginrai>Somehow, this still hasn't happenedI honestly wonder if they're just allergic to money.
>>11747738I'm never buying anything from them again knowing a better one is coming later.>>11747753pokemon have better head proportions than that.>>11747756good lord that is a huge image.>>11747768it's a little worse in person, one of the golds is a touch too greenish gold. but easily fixed with clear orange paint. I assume. I'll get to that later.
>>11747773mpg super Ginrai has 5mm ports and is roughly the same size as commander 86 prime. Get the KO.Although I would like a hasbro take, honestly.
>>11747768>I have all the original Kingdom releasesi have just Megatron and Inferno.feels good to be patient - i always knew there will be something cool like a collection box (plus i didnt like scorpion and wasp (and ptero-dude was an exclusive) that much and it kind of stinked the whole villain line for me)
>>11747738What a lovely set of polished turds.
>>11747780veritable dorodango>>11747779I managed to sell off my takara waspinator (because i have t30 and this new mold isnt great) and my kingdom megatron (since I got the takara one) and the rest I'm happy to turn into OCs. I feel less stupid about buying Kingdom and more stupid about paying through the nose for Premium Finish, but you know? They came with cool trading cards and shit, so
>>11747738I'm only missing two of the BW VS set's so it's still cheaper to go buy those than this set for me probably
I got G2 Sludge and Swoop yesterday.
>>11747790I use to have teal version of G2 Grimlock and I wish they did that color too.
>>11747794So you see that one part on G2 Swoop’s wing that is a clip on connection? It kept popping off so I had to use a tiny spot of glue and now it’s all good.
>>11747794maybe it'll yellow into teal for youi keed i keed
>>11747795>Hey look Madoka, robot dinosaurs. Isn’t that just the coolest thing ever?Madoka>Uh huh, whatever.>>11747797Haha. That reminds me of this sperg that to post here that use to FREAK OUT if even so much dared to mentioned his toys could yellow.
Man I wish they kept releasing some of the old Beast Wars molds... I want a Snapper again. He was the first ever transformer I owned.
>>11747776I mostly want it because I was dissapointed with how MPG handled the arms and the cab using metal when it has to merge with trailer. Seriously, the last thing I'd want from a 260 dollar figure is paint rubbing on the entire cab just by transforming it.
>>11747807All the basic flipchangers are kino
>>11747802I thought madoka had pink hair
>>11747802>>11747797Speaking of which checked on my Gen Selects Artfire the other day and saw some of the bits discolored :(
>>11747816Madoka Higuchi from Idolmaster.
>>11747807>>11747814seriously, i'm glad i still have all of mine. not every old one was a masterpiece, but a big chunk of them are.
>>11747738The OP image caught my eye, idk much about transformers with only watching beast wars when I was a kid. Are they going to be doing a maximal set too? Getting the whole cast like that is super convenient. Also are these all existing releases? If I wanted to just watch some reviews of these what do I look for?
>>11747869Yeah these are all already existing with somewhat different coloring. I think they’re mostly under the Kingdom line, maybe some Legacy
>>11747790>>11747794There's just something so alluring about the G2 decos that the G1 decos don't have for me.
>>11747869you've picked a decent time to jump on.what the guy below you said is right. This was "Transformers Kingdom" with a bit of "Transformers Legacy", so if you search for those, the character name, and 'review' you'll find it, easy. Don't get mixed up with the 'Masterpiece' line which is super expensive and complex ones for collectors, that are eerily on-model despite all the cheating from the show
>>11747827>>11747814My Snapper pulled double duty. He was a stand in for Gamera along side my Trendmasters Godzilla stuff.
>>11747869I'm pretty sure there's listings for a Maximal set. The base molds are mostly Kingdom, with Tarantulas and Inferno being Legacy. Those colorschemes are better than the base ones, so if you like the characters then the set would be worth grabbing when it comes out. Speaking as someone who owns all the molds already; Scorponok is the only real dud mold there. Tarantulus, Blackarachnia and Megatron are great, Inferno is mostly great while Terrorsaur and Waspinator are good.
>>11747892>>11747898>>11747905Thanks guys. I'll keep an eye out.
>>11747818>someMy Artfire yellowed years ago.
>>11747900tits>>11747905I understand the gripes on Scorponok and I share them (an upgrade kit helped a little, but he is a ball of baffling choices), but I don't see how Inferno isn't much, much worse. His basic concepts are destroyed in favor of a really awkward beast mode, with stupidly wrongly-shaped legs, and they didn't give him his gun. Even the rerelease just gives you two of his butt-engine. His robot hands are super dumb, his chest is wrong.. basically just the robot head looks good, and kind of the robot legs.Sometimes it feels like they're in cahootz with the 3P upgrade kit people, except those would stay available longer if that were so.
>>11747919I'm a guy. And this was in 1995.
>>11747931Anon, I know there's no girls on the internet, and that 1995 is when Beast Wars was out'tits' is an exclamation of positivity and approval. I could also have gone with 'boss.'
>>11747952Hey he might still have tits, it's 2026 or something
>>11747738It's Beast Wars it's already slop.
>>11747958Doesn't even need to be a troon - just has to be obese enough.
>>11747980I'm not gonna lie, i've had tits off and on since I was 11, and only about half of that time was I noticeably overweight. Breast tissue is funny shit, it just kinda comes n goes. plus I have naturally big pecs, so... yknow, you saw how Arnold looked when he let himself go a bit, right? It's like that.
Forget Botanica, these are the Quintus Prime remolds we need
>>11747992Neither is suitable, but I'd probably buy it.. love me a squid.
>>11747738I literally only want Megatron. God I hate multipacks.
>>11748014so buy the-okay that's still a multipack if you get the takara version, but the Optimus is real good and the skin is the right color for once.. even if the fur isn't exactly (I gave mine a slight gray drybrushing)but it's probably your best bet.
>>11748016Actually, I would like that Optimus as well. I think I'll go for it.
>>11748017mazel tovI just wish I could find nemesis primal for cheap. but that's probably not happening, they simply didn't make enough. fucking exclusives. I was HOPING I could get him and leopard print BA at the same time, but I only managed the latter. She was surprisingly affordable given how her legs were required to parts-swap to make regular BA show-accurateof course now I'm gonna repaint my regular BA, so I'm not sure if I should switch those legs back first. leopardprint looks good with an all black spider mode.
TAKARA WON AGAIN
>>11748023I like the paint front doors on the legs but wtf is that peach pattern on top of Motomasters trailer/gun
>>11748028I have seen it before but I don't know how official it was supposed to be
>>11748023that giant g2 deceptibadge on top of motormaster's cab is sick as hell
Arcee looking a little slutty there
>>11748054I just can't get over how it looks like she has super saggy titties and/or is flat but wearing a box as a tube top to try to hide it.. and also a dickey. it just doesn't quite work.

>>11748023>tfw2005 fags already whining about it being too accurate to the cancelled G2 combiner. Not surprised desu, those chucklefucks are never happy about anything.
I'm still salty we never got G2 Defensor from the Combiner Wars team. Where's my G2 Rook?
My New Bee hands for SS86 Devastator are hereVery goodThank you for joining
>>11748133bee?hands lookin good.
>>11748023It's too bad that 3/5 of these molds blow ass, cause these are nice decos
>>11748135New Bee is a 3P group. They did the really good Megatron Arm with Cannon and alt head for SS86 OptimusThe alt head is easily the best for him and lets him look up finally
>>11748023So what are the odds of Hasbro's G2 Motormaster looking half as good?
>>11748137terrible name. looks like they do good work though.>looking upshit, dogs can't even do that.
>>11748138Bold of you to assume it's getting released.
>>11748137Who taught Devastator the Turtle Wave?
>>11748148prolly this guy
>>11748054I know the MPG is a straight recolor, so it's a hard pass (she even has the tire puncher from that fight in Junkion), but... Which T30 Arcee version is the better one, the original or the SS86 version?>>11748023I've been thinking for a while, but has anyone made requests on DNA Design for any unique ideas? I mean, think about adding some stuff related to Transformers Zone that gives the recent giant toy releases their armor they got from Violenjager.
>>11747790>>11747794Local geek shop has Slug and Snarl box but I just can't justify paying 130€ for it, even if I could probably flip the SS versions reasonably well. Also I don't know how well they pair with Toxitron Grimlock, which is funnily enough the only Grimlock I have
>>11748023Yup yup, this confirms that I won't be bothering with AOTP Bruticus and will wait for inevitable Takara G2 version
>>11747738What in the actual fuck is that? All Predacons in one pack?! For less than 250 bucks? I'm not even into BW anymore but this looks amazing. Are they doing the same with the Maximals?
>>11748197Yep.
>americans can't buy this normally Retail monopolies like Target and Walmart were a mistake

>>11748054Why did they still not fix the titsGuess we’ve got to wait for the KO again
>>11748208They don't sell any MPG in physical stores in America, what are you talking about.
>>11748138>Hasbro's G2 MotormasterWho wants to tell him?
>>11748272That's not MPG, that's the new Studio Series.
>>11748273I mean, we know G2 Wildrider is coming, since he was shown in a picture attached to G1 Bruticus. It stands to reason that, eventually, we'll get Motormaster, even if it's in a few years when there's finally a free Commander slot.
How is it that Hasbro can put out Titan redecos more regularly than Commanders? It makes no sense.
>>11748305They better prepare a reissue of all the components, because Motormasters sales will be terrible if people lack even one component.
>>11748208RODIMUS WATCH OUT BEHIND YOU ITS A ROBOT CUNT
>>11748339HE'S GOT THE MATRIX BLASTING STAN BUSH HE CAN'T HEAR YOU OH GOD OH FUCK
>>11748208I already got that one a couple years ago, why would I buy it again?
What were they thinking with Basara Prime. It looks fine until you move the guitar away from its crotch and then you see this concrete block diaper with two scrawny legs awkwardly leaking out of it.
The Predacon set is on Pulse now, if you wanna spend 220 bucks.
>>11748427That's the Macross style
anyone can identify this optimus?
>>11748467Bumblebee or RotB
>>11748427this figure should have been rodimus or blaster. Why is it Optimus prime. Fucking jazz would have made more sense.
He fights for freedom, wherever there's trouble
>>11748436Is it a premium exclusive or just up early for them? I really don’t want to subscribe for 1 fucking purchase
>>11748472Isn't it meant to be another guy?
>>11748482it's listed as an Optimus Prime toy despite being called Basara Prime.
>>11748305>it stands to reason that, eventually, we'll get Motormaster, even if it's in a few yearsOh I'm sure it'll happen....just likely bundled in a four-pack with three randos that nobody wants.
>>11748474Up early. At 2 it became available for everyone.
>>11748467>>11748471Definitely Bumblebee.
>>11748472100% would have bought that if it was Blaster.
>>11748472In the same way the only transformers characters that exist are Optimus, Bumblebee, Megatron, and Starscream In Japan it's only Optimus
>>11748473"Come quietly or there will be... trouble."
>>11748472>this figure should have been rodimusNo way, Rodimus sucks too much to handle the power of rock. If Hot Rod was a young dude with dreams of being a rockstar, Rodimus is the hollow shell of that guy after years of failures, trapped in a downward spiral of self-pity and addicted to short-circuiting himself in order to see visions of the Matrix.>or blasterThat would have made more sense. But crossovers always go for the face of the franchise.
little man plays for the oilers
Any idea on what will come after AotP? I've heard Age of Megatron/Rodimus getting thrown around here and there. There could be potential for a good majority-Decepticon line with focus on their leaders as a contrast to the Primes.>Star Convoy-sized Super Megatron that won't happen because of the AoE Dinobots>Transmetal 1 Megatron>Leader-sized Comic Scorponok to go with the Comic Fort Max next year>RiD Jhiaxus>Dead/Ghost Starscream from 86 Thundercracker>RiD 2015 Steeljaw>Thunderwing>Thunderblast>Overlord>G1 Nemesis Prime
>>11748619Age of Rodimus would be a good opportunity to redeem the character.
>>11748619>Star Convoy-sized Super MegatronThis will never happen because Super Megatron wasn't Star Convoy sized in the single manga chapter. The Selects voyager Megatron and leader Star Convoy were accurately scaled.
>>11748174you can make REQUESTS on DNA Design!?! so I could have been asking for the fixes i want but never get?
>>11748208retail on the whole is something that became obsolete with the internetin the same way that it's stupid to have different cable tv providers because they all provide the same channels (THOSE compete), that should act basically as a utility.Companies should just sell their shit either directly or through a middleman that they pay, but it's dumb to have different brands of 'store' as if you care what store you go to. you care about prices and products.
>>11748427god damn do they ever suck at thighs and hips lately.>>11748465since when? that's not what Jetfire looked like

>all these incomplete Armada Optimus listingsI get pieces get lost all the time, but you'd think that would dock some of the price.
>>11748717it's like do they not realize you're gonna have to buy two? Worked for me with razorclaw. two super cheap ones, combined into one complete and one still passable as a figure, might donate.
>>11748743I'm not getting the super transformer and trailer, I just want the base figure with both wrist cannons. I almost want a Blokees version, but that defeats the purpose. Aramada was 'my' show given how old young I am.
>>11748746i am a huge fan of double-barreled forearm cannons. they were fucking everywhere for a while.
>>11748509Theres actually a jet Blaster from Universe 2.0 if for some reason you want a jet blaster. Its not as good as a valkyrie alt mode obviously but still
>>11748056To me it looks more like she has a super long neck. Imagine if that neck armor wasn't there, then compare it to her shoulder line.
>>11748651>since when? that's not what Jetfire looked likeSince the 2000's or so when Katoki started doing Armored Core and Macross Frontier. Granted that Optimus is VF-19 based so he should be smoother, but it's not far from the decades of across designs since the original series.
>>11748472Remember when Takara made Grimlock into Godzilla (good choice), but then decided to head swap him at the last minute and say it was Megatron?
>>11748842well-obsoived. she's got Avatar neck.a pretty common problem with robots these days, actually. I don't want to see a big built up trapezius area that makes the shoulders look super low, even IF the shoulders have big pylons that stick up.. if the -attachment point- is that low, it looks bad.
>>11748844Huh, that sucks, but I guess everything classic gets ruined by the new shitexcept, for whatever reason, American Dadthis still doesn't look as bad as that Optimus though.>>11748653I want a new meganated Animatron
>>11748846SO fucking lame. And they could have easily made him into a classic evil Mechagodzilla instead.
>>11748879too many cooks spoil the broth, but too many fucking head chefs spoil the industry
>>11748881>head chefs*headmasters
>>11748885too many headmasters spoil the cerberus
>>11747738Why does he... look like this? More paint does not make it more better, it makes it worse.
>>11748887in this case, it does. it looks like the show, and it's kind of amazing... aside from the weirdly overly striking green and underbelly.. which .. I wanna say Takara did a better job withI wish they sold those energon crystals, those would spruce up my shelf nicely. The main issue with this mold is that the t-rex head is way, way too small, which hurts both modes. the legs are also slightly too big (megs had big legs, but they were mostly thigh and foot bulk, not like this)
>>11748892oh and they changed up the shoulder transformation for seemingly no reason other than fun, which makes their shape and color asymmetrical
>>11748887Honestly the robot form needed the repaint way more than the rex form.
>>11748896also truewait did they paint the palate but not the tongue? hang on... okay I checked my takara one, and both are molded in plastic color, just different ones.
this just looks way better in dino form than the proposed 30th anniversary edition. The takara one looks like its way darker purple, but I can't tell because it could be the photography making it seem that way. I just hate how unnatural the belly of this extra paint version looks. The random green stripe on the throat is really god damn bad. Also the solid purple tongue looks dumb.
>>11748928I mean, woof
>>11748427To be fair, the Fire Valkyrie DOES have a big-ass block for a pelvis like that - but it's supposed to have a pointy cover over it that hides it. Likewise, the hips are also supposed to be bare on the sides like that - but the upper thighs are supposed to be much thicker and rounder, which makes it look a lot less awkward. Giving him pencils for thighs and upper arms in an attempt to evoke some Optimus traits was a mistake - you lose all of the organic curviness of the VF-19 by trying to emulate Prime's truck cab.
>>11748930well he was darker in the show than the rather bright, almost borscht-y purple of the Kingdom one. But I will grant you, the tongue not being painted is a bizarre omission. does anyone have a screencap of the show from him roaring or whatever?
>>11748427remind me again how much this costs?
>>11748937>does anyone have a screencap of the show from him roaring or whatever? The purple tongue and lack of interior mouth color...is actually accurate to the show model. Weird.
>>11748944huh. if anything, it's a DARKER purple.it's funny how this comes flooding back to me now. Also: his teeth were green. Thanks you, anon.
>>11748930the green and yellow look a lot better here.it still bugs me that they made Optimus a different breed of gorilla by making his belly hairy... also his beast head is too small, but I understand that. it has to look up and shit.
April for sure
Found something on ebay some of you guys might like. If you keep applying coupons (even if they don't work) they might send a pop up with a five dollar off coupon. It can also trigger if you leave the checkout during the payment confirmation.
>>11749063i both approve and disapprove. but thank you. I'll give that a try. Can't tell you how many times an ebay price has been just 5 bucks over my limit.sigh.. green lio, will you ever be mine? prolly not.
>>11747738>>11748887>>11748928>>11748930So wait the box set is Hasbro's own take on the Takara BW VS set?Cause it seems they're not 1/1 yet similar and have differences?
>>11749067I would not be even a little surprised if there were differences, but nobody has conclusively shown any yetconsidering BA still has the visible black joints in her painted legs, i'm thinking they haven't changed anything. I will be miffed if their BA is actually the right robot mode color unlike Takara's though.
Got the Wing kit for Onyx Prime that I've seen aroundGreat for Robot and CentaurNoooot so great for Dragon sadly as it's insanely floppyWhich it's not supposed to beSeems they went cheaper material than what was shown off, so honestly a severe let downThe additional neck joint while cool also makes the head absurdly loose and wobblySo kinda uselessThe extra Spear head is great tho and you can flip it around and have a bigger Spear
I kinda want this set, but better paint jobs or not, I really can't justify spending 220 bucks on characters I already own. Especially knowing that Megatron, Tarantulas and Inferno are the only good toys in there.
>>11749069he really needs a torso extender for the centaur mode.. and.. I mean better legs, but they're not that bad.
>>11749073Not unless you're really good at customizing, or are willing to sell your existing ones and get back yknow a fraction of what you paid, but that at least takes that 220 down to like, maybe 170.I think you're making the right choice resisting. I've had to do a lot of that lately.
>>11749069Forgot also in my Aliexpress stash was the APC Wheeljack1/1 reproduction of TF Prime Wheeljack but new hands with a hinge, new heads, grenade that can go on his hip, new swords, gunhands and feels so much better. A lot more sturdy and solid feeling that the original to me
>>11749092Also caved to the APC OptimusFinally glad to have one where the fucking back panel/side panel isn't like brownish and breaking up the Truck Mode color like the original doesShoulders pop easily but I think even on the original it did that. He feels stiffer and more firm/solid when posing so he feels greatI don't know what it isGreat he also came with the Silver styled Star Saber and a piece to have it hang off his back. Glad for that and only really disappointed in the Blades being translucent BlueHe did have an unmasked mouth alt head too so that's cool
>>11749082Yeah, I was also mentally jumping through the hoops of what I could get for the Kingdom releases, but it's just bad math no matter how you add it up (and I'm normally very good at rationalizing bad uses of money when it comes to toys). But yeah, restraint is always a good thing with this hobby and it's something I'm trying to practice more with TF too. Tempted as I am to just buy everything I want on release, there's no real reason to with certain characters. I want animated Wreck-Gar and Sureshot, but neither of those are tentpole characters, so they can absolutely wait for a bit.

While there's no topping the original movie poster, I appreciate the ones they've done for the anniversaries over the years.
>>11749313that's pretty good, how come there isn't a version as good as this (transforming) that's official?
>>11748928this is faithful to the original beastwars release in dino mode alone>>11748930this is more faithful to the show, as is the head sculpt and certain elements. Honestly it's a bastardization of two different references with a more "modern" dinosaur interpretation, so it being exactly like this or that is thrown completely out the window. It does make me want to buy the cheapest one and custom paint it to be more like the original toy however.
>>11749110I take toy purchases like i take my performance in a videogameif I fuck up a little, it's okay as long as most of it's fine. It's only a complete fuckup that requires a teardown and a sacrifice to make up for it.I think I have the best beast wars collection possible, right now, for what was available to me, fitting my taste, at the best price I could have gotten it for. still hoping I can get green lio for cheaper though.>>11749300funny, I thought she was one of the best, and she got the hue of gold a lot closer than takara did
>>11749545well you can't paint the rubbery parts, that's for sure. else I would have customized mine when I got the Premium Finish release. Made a BLACK tyranno awww yeah. Is Yolopark the most mid Non-former brand out there? They cost 4x as much as Blokees with just as much accessories and hands, and the same scale.
>>11749708>my Jimmies are rustled
Blokees should do Battle Beasts.
I know these aren't rare and can be purchased on Amazon for about $13-15 dollars. I ended up with them as part of a huge fodder lot of heads, weapons, energy effects, etc. I do have some Transformer's Blokees Galaxy blind boxes I need to sell off but I don't think someone who wants to buy THOSE will want one of these tossed in a 'freebie' - which is what the GI Joe general suggested I do with the two of those mini-toys I had. I'm not expecting to get rich, I just want to dump these and have them sell, or sell something else that people will want and toss these in.
>>11749790And Zoids, and Digimon, and Super Sentai Mechs.
>>11749797jesus, that's expensive for a deluxe, let alone this. I realize some work went into it, but..
Are there any dinosaur transformers that are good for young kids? My nephew loves dinosaurs and I've started gifting him a couple of my transformers, which he seems to be enjoying but he gets frustrated he can't transform them on his own
>>11749892Some knockoff G1 dinobots would be perfect, simple and cheap.
>>11749892There's quite a few "kiddie" Grimlocks out there.Grimlock in general is usually pretty simple.
>>11749892Look into Cyberworld Grimlock. He's pretty big and has play features that interact with other toys in the line.
>>11749892oh hey glad you came back. You are still the coolest uncle.if PotP Slash was still around, I'd say go with her, but..
>>11749895>>11749902>>11749905Thank you!>>11749908Yeah, we've been hanging out a lot lately. He always gets happy when he sees me.... though I fear that I may be getting him used to getting new toys every time he pays me a visit.
>>11749919heh. just remind him how hard you have to work.my dad bought me a turtle figure like every friday and I felt SO blessed.
Wait, so theres a different takara version of the predacon set?
>>11749936sort of.what Takara did is release these as 2-packs, one pred, one maximal. They called it "Premium Finish" (or possibly that's what they called it when released here on specialty stores)so far nobody can totally confirm these are identical to the takara releases, but one assumes they're diddly damn close at least.
>>11749936Well yeah, one's got Japanese text.
>>11750002while you're being that cheeky, I also wonder if this new set will come with the collectible cards...hmm what was >>11750000 ?

>>11750413there are so many reasons that makes no sense but cool design at least
My DNA Kit finally arrived! Now Megazilla can finally look like a proper Goji.Am I annoyed that I had to spend even more money just to make the dude look the way he should have from the start? Absolutely. But at least now I have a proper Godzilla and not just "Grimlock, but black!".
>>11750415yeah I still think it's pretty stupid lookin, but it's a lot less stupid looking now.
>>11750415I couldn't get the wrist covers on him (the screws are too short), but he doesn't really need them. His tail-sword and shield can combine to turn into a BW Megatron-style lance thing.
>>11750417he can also carry them combined as a dragonzord lance, right?
>>11750417Also, you can stow the tail-sword on his back using the peg hole in the Godzilla head's neck. It's not perfect, but I'm happy with him now, at the very least.
>>11750414His design is cool, his character owns. It makes sense, the appeal is insanely limited at best, but still. I don't even think there's a KO, and if there was I imagine it'd be like $400

>>11750448I need to get into transformer comics again. I used to read them at my barbers because he put his kids old comics on the magazine rack for kids. But I dont remember shit. Except deep lore that the Swarm were the vok but that was from some 90s webzone
>>11750458Yeah, I saw this too. I'm just not very confident in my painting abilities and I think it'd just frustrate me if I didn't get it perfect on the first try. Props to people who do it, though. I just don't have it in me.
>>11750460What if he isn't really a bombthey just TOLD him he is so he wouldn't crash his altmode into people as his opening attack.
>>11750470That's kinda funny because Fulcrum's character is that he's a huge coward who was specifically built to suicide bomb dudes for the Decepticon cause but mutinied, and when he finally builds up the courage to do it (>>11750430 picrel) it doesn't work because the charges in his alt mode have stopped working
>>11750472there is a universal thing that people are weirdly unaware of: the more reactive something is, the less stable it is. speaking of InfernoI'm pretty sure I just found the image that the Legacy designer used to make the ridiculous new toy with its derpy legs.
Why is the TF fandom so left leaning?
>>11750679same reason as everyone elseterrorism works. most people are too tired, too scared, too fucking depressed and beaten down to fight back against what they know is wrong, so they wait until it's something bad enough that it actually WOULD be worth the effort, but by then they're even tireder and older.
>>11750679It's a pretty left leaning franchise
>>11750679I have a peg leg on the left side. I can't help that it's a little short.
>>11750669A NEW Tote, you jack in the box
>>11750690it's literally about how war is cool as long as you're the good guys fighting for freedom against the bad guys fighting for an oppressive, all-powerful government, and that beings from a more advanced society should come in and protect the weak and primitive.

>>11750740>I can tell you which side of the political spectrum favors allowing all types of people to exist and it isn't the rightIt definitely isn't the left either lmao
>>11750679That's a lot of fandoms though.
>>11750679Can you name a fandom/nerdy hobby that isn't fucked up the ass with pozzed people these days?
Does Hasbro getting hacked mean there is going to be a bunch of decades of unreleased or before final version stuff?
>>11750746Regardless of the many failings of the left, the ideology Transformers media generally promotes is a liberal one. That's why most of the fandom is left leaning (in addition to a large percentage of it being gay).>>11750759This is true as well, because most nerd shit also promotes left leaning views. I'm not trying to be inflammatory, but that is a contributing factor to why TF and many other fandoms are that way.
>>11750679Being honest, I'd probably call myself a mild leftie if the left didn't actively advocate stuff like trannyshit and other retarded gender politics.
>>11750766>the ideology Transformers media generally promotes is a liberal one. That's why most of the fandom is left leaningWhile it is true that Optimus Prime could be called a classical liberal ("freedom is the right of all sentient beings" and all that), this still doesn't track because that is the opposite of what the modern left stands for.
>>11750740oh lordy.Anon, please consider the people running your education system, and what kind of system they want you to support. Hint: it's the one giving them more funds to give you more 'education.'
>>11750766We know you're not trying to be inflammatory, but you're profoundly, irritatingly ignorant.Go have a talk with your grandpa sometime. Ask about the heroes he liked as a kid, and what they stood for, and what that meant to you.Is he old enough to remember when the Superman radio show tore the KKK a new one? Ending with Superman quite correctly declaring that discriminating based on race or religion is ~unamerican.~ Now ask him what he thought that stood for politically.>>11750784I mean if 'classical' was a thing, it was a lot more than 130 years ago, that's for sure.
>>11750774I'm conservative because I like conserving nature, green places, wildlife, especially endangered species, and advocate for expanding national forests and protecting shoreline habitats. I don't think that anybody has the same definition as I do.
no no you know what? watch some Twilight Zone. That shit will set you straight.Talkin bout the 60s one, not that fruity 80s one with its laughable kookball plots. Seriously that one where the guy is unfrozen in the future is... they could teach classes on what wrong in the heads of those writers.>>11750794That's because that's a conservationist. This is just like when people think 'naturalist' means nudist. that's naturist.
>>11750797>That's because that's a conservationistMayhaps anon, mayhaps
>>11750679They're not The terminally online fans are.Autobot sticker on your car? Probably not lefty Buy a transformer toy for your kids? Probably not a lefty.Go see the transformers movies? Probably not a lefty.Spend all day making tf fan art of ratchet and drift fucking so you can post it on your socials? You're probably a lefty and a woman.
>>11750797>That's because that's a conservationistI mean, they usually go hand in hand.Teddy Roosevelt and all.And 90% of the nature preserves are in deeply conservative areas.Transformers is a very international brand so many people don't know "conservative" in the US means limiting the impact on your life the government has, both positive and negative, whereas in the rest of the world it means traditionalist, i.e. not wanting any change.Essentially the conservative motto is "freedom is the right of all sentient beings"
>>11750812I mean yeah my man TR believed we have to preserve nature so we can keep exploiting its resources. But it kinda turns out nature basically self-regenerates, just don't let some hippies tell you to stop clearing out underbrush etc because it's a 'habitat' or whatever.. yeah a flammable habitat. the native americans and australians knew to remove it. If you leave that alone, it burns down and then you don't have your habitats anymore to go hunting in. also if you kill the wolves and stuff then you're kinda fucked. leave those fuckers alone, they're rad. Kill the deer.but uh, low-population areas have a real habit of voting for huuuge government, because they want to be handed things for free. They'd fuckin love Megatron if he just offered them the right bribe. A blue collar has a strong tendency to be red underneath yknow...
>>11750820you know I never noticed how new silverbolt basically has the entire wing-tail assembly too far forward. it would have been better pushed back a little.
>>11750822I still can't believe someone OK'd that damn tail on the new one. The upgrade kit moves it back a bit, but doesn't fix the length at all. Just...what the hell was the designer thinking?
>>11750699That wasn't the question, anon.>What Transformers who will literally NEVER get a toyNot NEVER get a new toy.NEVER had and NEVER will have a toy.Pay attention.
>>11750810that's why i dedicate to making straight porn of the hot girl characters to counter the fags
>>11750833They always compromise the alt mode to make the robot mode the best one.
>>11750766>in addition to a large percentage of it being gayWhy is most TF porn made up of female characters though?
>>11750693Underrated post.
>>11750679>>11750764The reason for this is that before the 2010’s rightwingers generally looked down and hated nerdy hobbies. A lot of older ones still do. Nerds switching to right wing views generally happened because a niche of left wing activists became so vocal and entertained it chased away a lot of moderates and politically neutral and apathetic people from the left.
>>11747738I JUST want a rerelease of TM2 Blackarachnia. Is that so hard?
>>11750812>"conservative" in the US means limiting the impact on your life the government has, both positive and negative,So how come the so-called "conservative" government is doing the exact opposite?
>>11750975Wait, you mean the one in power now?
>>11750679Toy collectors in general seem to be very left leaning. It really is gay.
>>11750975Trump is more of a right wing populist than a conservative desu.
>>11750679It just seems that way because online toy communities skew younger and platform based which are demographics that tend to lean more left politically. They're not the majority, just the most vocal.
>>11750840>Pay attention.I steadfastly refuse>>11750975American political parties are fake and gay
>>11750704>beings from a more advanced society should come in and protect the weak and primitive. That's not Transformers at all.
>>11750865Because gay TF fans are the wrong kind of gay. They're the Tumblroid "Ooooh I can't stand anything sexual I need my brooding homoerotic melodrama but Faggotron must NEVER do anything more intimate with STIscream than a kiss" types as opposed to the (much more based) "I am going to draw Megatron and Starscream as literal Shota-cons and have them fuck" types.
>>11750494It was just the Mudflap transformation and Cybertron had incredibly simplistic transformations, so yeah. Easily.
>>11750967We all want more Transmetal reissues. 1 and 2.And the Mutants.
>>11750967It's a 27 year old mold that only saw one other, limited run through Botcon Arcee. It was done with a lot of paint flourishes that were common at the time but are now cost prohibitive on top opf that, so even if they find the mold, the costs may be too much for the market(this is part of why G1 reissues are expensive- they're using a bunch of older combinations of production that were common at the time but haven't been used in ages, like rubber tires and diecast. On top of being niche releases. The basic BW reissues didn't sell the best so it makes them unlikely to jump to Transmetals anytime soon.
>>11750865Is it though? Most of the TF porn I'd see (at least 20 years ago or so) was of Megatron banging Prime and/or Starscream.
>>11748473So when are we getting a toy colour repaint with a clear windscreen? This colour scheme sucks.
>>11750857Yeah, but the new Silverbolt toy is almost identical to the old one, just without the spring-loaded gimmick for the wings. There was no reason to compromise at all - in fact, the removal of said spring-loaded gimmick should have made things even easier for them. Also, the size of the tail, specifically, never had any bearing on how the robot mode looked, since it always just hung off of his back even on the original toy; someone made a conscious decision to modify a part that wasn't in the way and wasn't going to be visible in robot mode, and there was no reason for it.
>>11750704Nothing more right leaning than forever wars fought over oil (sometimes orchestrated by the slimy merchants)
>>11751010It would be cool if they reissued transmetals in metallic paint so we would never have to worry about paint chipping. Also I just got a reissue scorponok got 15 dollars somehow on amazon maybe relevant to someone's interest
>>11751010>MutantsIce bird was literally my favourite transformer growing up and I'll probably never find it worth paying stupid ebay prices. The sculpting was just so fucking cool. I'd flip out his wings in bear mode and make him fly around attacking people with his giant bloody wolverine claws. I would kill for a chance to get him back and the other 3 I missed out on.
>>11751103>reissued transmetals in metallic paintMeh. A huge part of the appeal for me is the vac metal. It just wouldn't be the same without it.
>>11751113I mean metaphorically they reminded me of comic book wolverine claws. I know he is an owl and a bear. I also got his fucking name wrong but Icebird is a stupid ass name
>>11751118Yeah but they're too cheap to release them with all that chrome anyways
>>11751118Its insane to me no one ever repainted him into Starscream as a reference to his posession episode. Not Botcon, Timelines or Universe. Also just a random thought but I'd love to see them in their original animal colors. That would have made a sick Botcon set or Walmart exclusives back in the day. And we always get black Primal Prime for some reason.
>>11751123>repainting an interesting, unique toy into a boring ass G1 homageI'd literally rather smash it with a hammer and shove every single piece up my asshole.
>>11751118I agree that I'd love to see them in vac-metal again, but the reality is that the stuff chips with age, regardless of what you do - and given how I've seen supposedly adults here hamhands and break shit that's supposed to be childproof, I can guarantee people would bitch the moment they start chipping their toys.I think they did a pretty good job on TM2 Megatron (where the FUCK is Cryotek already, Hasbro!?) by swapping all of his vac-metal for metallic paint, and I think it could work for other Transmetals/TM2s as well if they didn't skimp. Tarantulas, Blackarachnia, TM1 Megs, TM1 Primal (we got an OpOP back in PotP, so I doubt they'd do him again), Dinobot II (with Rapticon repaint), and Rattrap are all on my "want" list.>>11751123>Also just a random thought but I'd love to see them in their original animal colors. That would have made a sick Botcon set or Walmart exclusives back in the day.Weirdly enough, we DID get a Walmart-exclusive repaint of that TM Waspinator mold back in the day that was in Buzzsaw's colors.
>>11751138At least it's not your urethra
>>11751118Man, I love TM Waspinator. I think it might have been that very image which prompted me to pick him up.I used to think the same when it came to Transmetals, and I still think if the the old toys were reissued without chrome I'd have a problem with it, but AOTP Sky-Byte at least showed me that I'd be okay with metallic paint instead of chrome on modern TM updates.
>>11751138It's almost like the only reason anyone cares about Waspishittor is because he's attached to a more popular G1 character or something
>>11751165Yeah, if it's a new figure I'd deal, but if it's a re-issue, I'd rather just overpay for a near-mint one on ebay with actual chrome.Nice pics, anon. I'm glad to help spread the TM Waspy love.
>>11750833i think there's whining from high up saying the robot mode can't have too much kibble and we can't afford another hinge to fold it back
>>11750965pretty sure it wasn't us dads telling people watching tv rotted your brain, or that it was harmful to look at violent shows or whatever. that was solidly moms.>>11750975Anon you've hit on something really important here, and I want you to keep that in mind as you look more closely. Peel back that hastily-applied 'conservative' label and look at what's underneath itWe haven't had a candidate on the BALLOT since 2004. And the other side hasn't had a real candidate since 2012. it's all decided by the debates now.
>>11750999then why does it happen in every show
>>11751098found the The Onion reader.here's a tip: if the chicken thief doesn't have so much as a feather in his house, let alone any chickens? uhh...>>11751118they need to work on new tech to make more durable vac-metal, with a nice hard clear coating that never chips off. You could even work the coloring into the coating, so the underneath is always just the bare metal.
>>11751165yeah metallic paint can be as good as chrome if it's the REALLY shiny stuff. super7 TMNT used it for a while.
>>11750857Don't be a HasBlow apologist. TransArt's Silverbolt uses almost the exact same transformation scheme and manages to look better in both modes. There's no excuse for it - they hired a shit designer who did the same damn thing to Tigerhawk. I'm convinced whoever it was has a fetish for tiny bird tails and exposed animal asses.

>>11751487jesus, is that real? i thought that's just what we got accused of. I've never seen that with toys..trading cards, i've seen that with. or funko pops, but..
>G2 Menasor is almost $300Thanks (((Takara)))
>>11751496>>11751444It's not just that.I'm invested in the franchise. I grew up with it and know the characters and try to buy to complete lineups, but there's still the realities of living. I don't have the room for all my figures, so I know after a day or some of fiddling with him he has to be locked up in storage. It's simple not practical for me to have figures out all over the place. I have to think about money allotment, space allotment, etc.
>>11751499I paid $150, of course shipping and (((tariffs))) will get me later but I'm used to it.
>>11751509yeah but that's different from just buying anything that looks cool and only having fleeting enjoyment from it
>>11747642>"Be ready for anything..."
>>11751553I'm lovin this lil adventure
Updating the ol' checklistsI feel like I've lost track of exclusives
Cybertron Vector Prime or Legacy w/ upgrade kit?
I miss core class so much, bros........
>>11751667My only MP is a KO Roadrage I got for $20 and honestly her engineering just pisses me off.
>>11751252>Don't be a HasBlow apologist. How the fuck did you get to that conclusion when I state what is merely fact? Hasbro compromises on the alt-mode to make the robot mode the best mode of the toy. Whether that's a good thing or a bad thing is up to you but it is Hasbro's M.O these days.
>>11751252> There's no excuse for it - they hired a shit designer who did the same damn thing to TigerhawkIncidentally I’ve wondered if Tigerhawk was initially planned as a transmetal 2 silverbolt back in the day. They share a lot of hallmarks in design, and the TM2s used a lot of previous years characters
>>11751763i think it's more that he was designed as a transmetal fuzor, a combination of the lines, and they already had the idea of 'kind of a griffin'...if anything, silverbolt might have been a leftover idea of a pre-transmetalized tigerhawk, if they had planned tigatron and airazor's disappearance early, then decided to postpone it
>>11751683Tracks' molds have historically been rough
>>11751683I've got a few
>You need to mistransform Windcharger's feet to get him to stand properly. It's such a minor change, it's insane they don't do it themselves.
>>11751509that's what rotation of figures is for.I also don't have space for all of them. But i have them in boxes.>box for beast wars figs>bost for The Movie related stuffsometimes i update my shelves with new toys/switch themit even makes old toys feel like new.For example i didnt see SS86 Wreck Gar and other Junkions in a while and posted them again a few days ago and it was so much fun to have them again in my hands
>>11751767>if anything, silverbolt might have been a leftover idea of a pre-transmetalized tigerhawk, if they had planned tigatron and airazor's disappearance early, then decided to postpone itNah I doubt that, if only because from a design standpoint all the Fuzors are new characters, where as all the Transmetal 1s barring Depth Charge and Rampage were designed as season 1 charactersThere's a theory that Buzzclaw might be Manterror but otherwise they're all original characters
>>11751827really? He stands just fine on my copy with the kibble folded up. What's the mistransformation look like?
>>11751832I don't have the time for rotation anymore. taking figures out boxing up others. It's become more of a chore than a joy
>>11752195>I don't have the time for rotation anymore. taking figures out boxing up others. Idude just 1) put your ass in a char2) open the box3) take the figure4) get up and stand near your shelf5) switch it with another figureWhat kind of a fucking normie are you.Like...i have a job and married but even i have time for that (even for shitposting on 4chan)
>>11751956that is a good point I spose. it's not til tm2 that we got a mixture of old and new.
>>11752195honestly shelf management has become such a chore for me that I rarely touch anything.. i need bigger shelves.
>>11752238anon i'm sure he has time to do ONE figure, but there's lots to move around.
>>11751620they made good pocket and desk bots and soundwave/soundblaster is probably the best since he just turns into a solid box.atleast we still get them in box sets like Monstructor or as pack-ins like Star Convoy so it's not completely dead but I do miss standalones.
I'm really not a fan of G2 Motormaster's decos on top of his cab and trailer they just look so ugly. I might just hope Hasbro's just give us a solid blue and purple truck
>>11752311I just don't have any interest in buying an $80+ set just for the core class figs though. I just want the deskformers
>>11751827Literally just leave it hanging instead of tabbing it all the way, otherwise it's much easier for him to fall backwards.
>>11752313>Hasbro's
CD Japan or Amiami to preorder G2 Menasor?
When I use instructions to transform a figure I use the ones from a figure's mold-mate. I'm wild. Unpredictable. Cannot be stopped.
>>11752379Brother. I also do this. and I do it with Zoids as well.It may be a cheap way to get more use out of a mold, but I love mold-mates. I think videogames raised me to just want to see 'the same thing but in a different color'if I'd had a brother, and he wasn't just me but wearing a green hat instead of red, I would have been disappointed.
>>11752381Wait a second. The Seekers are just the fighting game palette-swaps of Transformers!
>>11752383prezactlywait who's the guy in teal? that's not Hydro is it? I thought that guy was more powder blue.
>>11752238I have over 1000 figures. I have to take a large amount of time out to thin out the whole thing, but right now I'm busy with other stuff.Maybe one day I can sort it out, but not right now.
>>11752386I think that's Chameleon
>>11752389Ohhh I see now that in later appearances, he was given that mint green color. Okay thanks, that adds up.When he had this costume, I saw him usually depicted in a rainbow gradient, even though that's not how he works. He was, after all, an expansion of the concept of mk1 reptile: a paletteswap who just uses all available sprites for that model.
Does anyone own one of these? The GT-R is my favorite car and I like the whole grid girl vibe. They're kinda pricy but they look really good in pics.
>>11750325DispensorNo, the one that turns into a car instead of a mountain dew machine doesn't count
>>11750325Star Upper somehow managed to not benefit from any attention of being a niche, obscure JP TF even with the online community always digging up old one offs. Probably won't get a dedicated beast line for a while so that's another knock against him.
hasblow please
>>11752473Japan really liked the idea of silly beast modes, and the sad thing is, I wouldn't mind that in its own franchise. But it doesn't fit Beast Wars, where the idea is scanning local creatures and MAYBE tricking out their colors and tossing on an extra eye or something. Then again, this also would never have made a convincing kangaroo. Are those the tiny kangaroo arms poking out of his robot arms? like you'd just be expected to ignore them? Does the tail turn into the head somehow?
>>11752483I ordered the missing link just to have this.
>>11752484It’s a kid’s design, polished off a bit but not really intended as a toy yet. Also the JP beast Wars series had different set ups. They are more used to just being quirky beasts without disguise ressons
>>11752484>But it doesn't fit Beast Wars, where the idea is scanning local creatures and MAYBE tricking out their colors and tossing on an extra eye or something.Anon, every new is Neo outside the Blentrons is literally a sapient animal that unlocked a transformation into robots via magic.
>>11752505indeed.>>11752509u wot
>>11752484Beast forms never mattered after season 1 of the show anyway after the energon on the planet exploded so they could be in robot mode all the time and also became transmetal which meant they never blended in anymore. Even in season 1 though the sizes were off so you had giant wasps and spiders
>>11747738funny how the box art is pretty much toy accurate except megatron gets his show accurate t-rex head among some other embellishments
>>11752527not the point! scanning animal forms is part of their culture now. To the point they're now called maximum animals and predator icons. Even though it seems like on cybertron they're still vehicling it up out of tradition.it's just a disconnect is all. i'd rather see a kangaroo transform into a boxer robot, as a nod to the ubiquitous kangaroo boxers. Not a boxer robot that turns into a kangaroo boxer, or a tanuki clock robot that turns into a tanuki clock. It's not changed enough, it doesn't separate the forms properly. Beast Wars worked hard to make even the most superfluous-seeming transformations still work, like a gorilla or a baboon.
>>11752387>I have over 1000 figures.i have more than that. What a stupid argument. Do you not have hands.JUST DO IT(or throw away your toys-you dont seem to enjoy them anyways)>>11752275>anon i'm sure he has time to do ONE figure, but there's lots to move around.Oh no...it's more than ONE figure. it's an impossible task!Man normie-boomers with dead imagination/energy/willpower fucking disguist me.I hope i will never turn into a slob that says "uhhhh....switching toys on a shelf is too much work..."
>Well, shit...
>>11752574>Can't believe this bullshit, fuck you Hasbro
>>11752578>There we go!
>>11752571>>11752387>>11752275
