It's a new dawn, it's a new day, it's a new thread for me... And I'm feeling good~
New leak from Chinese retailer >PenanceNo idea who the fuck that is. Maximum daredevil is confirmed via the same retailer.
>>11771215
>>11771217Or this?
>>11771215After Speedball blew up a school on accident that started Civil War he became Penance and wore an iron maiden suit to punish himself
>>11771221I have no idea who this is. >>11771217I do know this guy. This is Speedball after he and the other New Warriors caught Nitro, causing him to explode an elementary school and kicked off Civil War. Speedball felt guilty and emo, because emo was cool af the time, and made a suit that had like 600 or so spikes on the inside that constantly stabbed him, each spike representing a life lost in Stanford. Penance is probably one of the edgiest things Marvel has ever done. I'll grab him. I'm slowly putting together an Ellis Thunderbolts and I need him and a Andreas Von Strucker Swordsman to round out that team. Also, should I cancel Secret Wars DD then if they're just going to do a Maximum?
>>11770871>Spider-man Noir is not show relatedThat seems dumb
>>11771263They'd need to do a whole new mold for that. Big company came afford it. Please understand
>>11771275You guys need to realize that the bigger a company is the less it can actually freely spend on pleasing its customers, and you need to adjust your spending accordingly to stop buying figures from these behemoth companies that do not and cannot serve your needs. Instead smaller companies can actually adjust to your whims
>>11771215MARVEL LEGENDS IS DEEP NOW!
>>11771277Yeah, nigga, I said it was dumb as in I'm not going to buy itI probably won't even watch the show but I would buy a semi-realistic Spider-Noir with an alt Nic Cage head regardless because it would be novel
>>11771221Who bitch this is?
>>11771215>Maximum daredevil is confirmed via the same retailer.great choice, but they need to start doing villains too
>>11771286
>>11771335Prob this since they're making Generation X figures and this >>11771217 flip flops on if people like it or not
>>11771335Ew
>>11771337I don't remember anyone liking emo Speedball, even in Ellis Thunderbolts.
>>11771617Penance Robbie is a cool design that was wasted on the rape of a comedy character that was defiled because Brevoort has a massive hate boner for the New Warriors. And even with that lore, Penance Speedball is still better than murue Penance, who had her entire backstory junked and rendered radioactive (along with M) because Larry Hama DESPISED Generation X and being kicked off Wolverine/forced to write it to stay employed at Marvel and actively tried to destroy the book's characters to force it to be cancelled.Hell, a Robbie Penance/Americop or Robbie Penance/civilian Norman Osborn would sell better than any Gen X Penance
Photo dump time!Start with Squadron Supreme, complete at last!
>>11771718I don't really need a civillian Norman since Ihave my kitbash, but I wouldn't mind a 2 pack with Andreas von Strucker Swordsman.
What's the deal with them not making figures for the new ultimate universe? They're making wolverine now, but you'd think they'd jump at the chance to make new versions of "close enough" classic/default costumes for characters like Spider-Man. They've now waited so long that the whole thing is coming to an end before they've gotten a single related character made.
>>11771723Noice. I still hold that this head is the most beautiful female head ML did alongside with Silk.
>>11771756It seems everything revolves around never making The Maker for some reason. That's the most easy figure they've could make and still, nothing happens. It's just a skinny body with a new helmet, c'mon Hasbro.
>>11771756>>11771761They know most of the legends audience doesn't read modern comics
>>11771720I wish Hasbro did DC too
>>11771912If you see motu chronicles, Mattel's dc will likely be better than MLs due to smooth import style joints and modern engineering choices (ballpeg waists and double ballpeg neck joints etc) rather than ratchets
>>11771966Lol, lmao even.
>>11771966zero chance of this
>>11771986The chronicles figures are out. You can look at reviews.
>>11772014>reviewswho cares?
>>11772018because their quality prefigure's mattel's DC figures
>>11772039but who cares about reviews?a mid Spider-man Marvel Legend is going to dominate the world's greatest Poison Ivy figure no matter what
>>11771617I was being nice to this >>11771242 Gotta be nice sometimes
>>11772061Why compare Spiderman to Poison Ivy rather than Batman?
>>11772108I wouldn't compare a mid spider-man to a good batmanI would compare a good spider-man to a good batman, but spider-man will still win
so are we getting more deadpool and wolverine figures
>>11772394there was a leak that had a wave with gambit and elektra and other variants or whatever but I think they would've announced that by now if it was real
>>11771124They couldn't give Spider-Man the maximum Spidey articulation? They already got the mold why not just use it? Atleast give him toe articulation or something. Such a cool design being wated on that body.
>>11772400Because that mold doesn't fit the body type Tom Holland has, dummy. As for why the articulation scheme itself isn't used, it's because that costs money, and hasbro is a small independent company.
>>11772403I wonder if people would overlook the body being the wrong fit if it articulated well and was cheap. Anthony Customs would probably get upset.
Getting caught up with Born Again S2. First two episodes felt like an improvement on the first season, though not a dramatic one. Finished episode 3 earlier though and holy shit did that come together well at the end. It's also kind of making me want a black suit Matt figure. And that's saying a lot, because I fucking hate Shadowland.
>>11772414I want a Heather figure nowShe's become so sexy
>>11772425I'm still blown away by what a fucking cunt they turned her into in the last third of S1. I legitimately can't tell whether they want me to feel sympathy for her or not. She is hot though.
>>11772434everyone else is so boring, she's my second favorite now after Bullseye
>>11772414I'm very mixed on what to think of S2. I can tell the actors and directors are putting everything they've got into it, the action scenes and cinematography are amazing. At the same time, oh my god can the dialogue be hokey as FUCK often. I don't think I have too much an issue with the overall plot, it's entertaining, but jesus some of these lines they make them read are ridiculous; just very phoned in, they really needed another pass. It's enough to make me wonder if I preferred BA S1 honestly.
>>11772425Go touch grass.
>>11772460where do you think you are?
>>11772425Shit taste. Damaged women are incredibly unattractive. All I see is crazy.
>>11772523>Damaged women are incredibly unattractiveI agree, but she wasn't raped, so this point is irrelevant
>>11772540Just because she wasn't outright raped doesn't mean she isn't damaged goods. Have you gotten to the part in season 2 where Buck lets her choke him out to release the pent up aggression she's had since the Muse attack? She was still viciously attacked by a literal psychopath, just because she wasn't raped doesn't mean she isn't fucked up.
>>11772590yes, dummythat's the scene where I realized why I suddenly didn't dislike her character anymorebecause now she's a psycho and hot>but she might choke you!oh no...
>>11772595Yes, her being crazy was the exact thing that tuns me off, which is what I originally said.
>>11772602No, what you originally said is that I have shit taste, and I'm gonna haunt like a ghost until you set yourself on fire for being so insolent
>>11772607Shit taste and a sperg. Checks out.
Big oof. I feel bad for anyone who wanted Jeff.
>>11772678yeah wow $65 huhis this actually gonna sell or will it be discounted? I like Jeff and on the very very rare occasion I do feel like playing a terrible hero shooter he's one of the dudes I'd pick.
>>11772678Sold out everywhere but hasbro
>>11772715I'm kind of shocked just how many people wanted Jeff.
>>11772718I stopped playing because it's too slow. I only played Jeff and Hela though.
>>11772718I honestly wanted both, and I was waiting for Hasbro to take a crack at Rivals Venom since I've been wanting a new chunky Venom that resembled his physique in Spectacular Spider-Man.
>>11772678>65 usd>One of the figures is a small animal that barely has any articulation>No extra accessories to make up for itYeah, nah. Easy skip.
>>11772839>Chunky venomWhat about the PS5 venom?
>>11772839>>11772853Or Monster Venom?
VENGEANCE
>>11772853>>11772858>PS5 VenomIt's good but it's more tall than how I want him to be chunky, and for a tall Venom I'm content with the movie/Knull 2-pack. Also I can't get it out of my head that it's meant to be Harry.>Monster VenomI have it for that exact reason but I also wanted a new figure with Hasbro's modern engineering.
>>11772678Joke price only for plastic addicts
fucking hell
>>11772885Nice. Hoping mine is delivered soon! My Champions are ready for him!
>>11772678Back in stock on Amazon
>>11772908He’s great! You’re going to love him Anon.
>>11772425Is that the girlfriend who kills herself?
>>11773015Yup. Looking like she could become a new Muse though in the show.
What's a character only (You) want?Lady Ringmaster, all the fun of Ringmaster and none of the fugly.
>>11773146It's time for Mammomax
>>11773146Rapist goat. Any of the weird Doc Strange/ Ghost Rider villains from that era, really.
>>11773146
>>11773146Adam X, the X-Treme!
>>11773146Idk if it's only me that wants it, but basically an updated ponytail kitty pryde and an updated walgreens human torch. After that, I can retire.
https://youtu.be/sUup38DuM8M
>>11773146I'm not the *only* one, but Albert & Elsie Dee are way past due. Hasbro would probably hook me with a Shiva, too.Pic related on general principle.
>>11773288Garbage
>>11773349Never heard of this bitch before, but that's actually a pretty character design.
>>11773368Yeah, I think she showed up less than 2 dozen times. Those old Marvel card sets are full of new-at-the-time characters that made zero impact.I keep waiting for Hasbro to do a wave with a Slapstick BaF or some shit, lol.
>>11773146S'ym, asshole demon from Magik's backstory, mostly for being a purple demon with a jerry curl wearing a tiny vest and smoking a cigar. But while looking for an image, I noticed a surprising amount of people have made custom figures of him, so I guess I'm not actually the only one who's a fan.
>>11773146Fuck the MCU version.
>>11771768If movie Ant Man basically is a Kaman Rider knock off, which Rider arch villain is Stryfe's counterpart?
>>11773288>>11773288Not watching it but hope it's good just paid 70 or whatever and had it and 3 other items shipped from Japan.
>>11773403>Fuck the MCUdangerously based
>>11773403Would you settle for the modern version? I kinda liked that version of Ghost.

>>11773433No. Fans of Ghost hate the family dollar Psycho Mantis rip off we've been stuck with these last ten twenty years
>>11773444Your trips can't be denied, I must now post toys.
>>11773481Haha that’s awesome! Here’s one for the mint on card collections.
>>11773244Nah, I want him too. Found out about him by getting his Fleer card back in the day and I thought his mutant power sounded awesome so I started looking for whatever comics I could find with him, which wasn't many.
>>11773481>>11773491Contributing. Thread challenge, post a recreation of the caked up Rouge meme.
>>11773146For me it's Agent X. Loved that series. Bonus points if we were to get a proper Udon Taskmaster.
>>11772678Might as well get the Gayfex or Figsharts.
>>11773412What are the other 3 items shipped from Japan?
My queen getting a fucking blokees
>>11773403>can't like thing without bringing up something completely unrelatedautistic retard...
>>11773146These are my big ones atm. Combo Man is highly unlikely but I feel like the rest have a chance.
>>11773565How huge is that ass though?
>>11773146I've wanted a Yuriko Watanabe Wraith figure for years now. D-Man and Stunner would be nice too.
>>11772681Jeff is not in Overwatch silly
>>11773542wow, that's very clever. you're a very clever boy aren't you? everyone must tell you that.
Received X-23 today and I absolutely love it, what a great figure. The faces look amazing, better than the initial promos and she is balanced really nicely. The last ML I bought was the anniversary Warbird and Laura feels much higher quality. Very pleased.
Target says it's NOT time for that Onslaught figure you desire.
>>11773704I so hope we get a proper comic one soon to make up for the two pack version.
>>11773714>>11773704
>>11773704>>11773714Great poses Anon!I’m afraid to move my DeathStrikes arms because the elbow joints feel like they are going to break on mine.
>>11773481>>11773523
When the fuck are we getting a Kate and Clint w/ Lucky pack?
>>11773749>>11773758>>11773761Hah, snap! My x-23 gets a bit of scuffing on the left thigh which is annoying but it looks like jean wear so not the end of the world. I am really impressed with her though.
>>11773761Looks like you live in a lovely house anon.
>>11773826What a weird thing to say
>>11773831Maybe, I dunno I just thought the bright sun, the trees and the nice windows, looks like a lovely house.
>>11773749She looks to be worshipping X-23's butt in this image?
>>11773491>>11773523>>11773761Nice, guys. I'm legitimately proud of what's begun here. And I had no idea Lady Deathstrike got an ML. May have to pick her up for the X-Villains collection.
>>11772885Nice. I finally got a Danny Ketch after an eternity and now I wonder why it took me so long. Amazing figure, Ghost Riders are the best.
>>11773146Maximum Reed Richards (with smoking pipe)
>>11773897>(with smoking pipe)
>>11773904NTA, but fuck Joe Quesada.
>>11773146There is probably no character only I would want, I don't have any really obscure wants, but I do have some specific outfit looks. I would kill for a Gamora in this run's look.

>>11774001Man, new Typhoid Mary and Silver Sable would be sweet.
>>11773826Thanks anon, I live in it with my family but my sister in law owns it.Very nice of you to say, I like it a lot but it almost burnt down two years ago and it was almost flooded this past Christmas.
>>11774052Yeah, Sable would actually be a prime candidate for an Ultimate release with a bunch of alt-heads and optional armor pieces and guns and shit, but that's something that would never fucking happen.Mary at least went back to her classic costume so they'll have to do another figure of her eventually.
>>11773491haha hoho hehe haha! hehe!
>>11773761>>11773836Reminds me of my grandparents house. God those times were good.
>>11774057Wow, well I'm glad it survived, hopefully that's the bad luck over with for you.>>11773774This has felt inevitable for ages for me, yet never actually happens.
>>11773992>I'm sure people want this but Xmen evolutionKinda crazy that we don't at least have orange suit Logan yet. I feel like that just on its own would sell very well.

>>11774374Nah
>>11774360That's just a repaint lol. But the figure itself is actually really good and works for my comic Hulk, so might get this too if the price is right (it probably won't be).
>>11774379If only that nah were valid.
>>11774469Motre valid than your shitposts
>>11774331>posting more than two pictures in a row is spammingWhy are you guys like this?
There must be logistics issues with Onslaught. He is very delayed
>>11774484It is weird, wasn't it supposed to go up for pre-order a month ago? I'm just waiting for them to discount Emma already. One of the Targets by my house has had five of them on the peg for over a month now. Another close one has had four for just as long. Just knock her down to $20 already.
>>11774484Hmmm, almost like there's a war going on, messing things up, hmmm
So hulk isn't actually balding, Hasbro just sucks at sculpting lmao
>>11774525Oh thank GOD I don't have to buy the hasbro figure
>>11774478Generals are poison
>>11773870
>>11774707OP didn't even update the database link like he said he would
>>11774525Joints still look pretty bad. Is it impossible to make a large figure with decent looking joints even as an import? I could've sworn some exist.
>>11774495Target is playing the long game. They know collectors can't resist the call of plastic. That is why the Iron man and Mandarin 2 pack just sold out from Amazon without any deep discounts. Even though it's the worst Mandarin look.
>>11774484I bet they want to release him close to the X-Men '97 season two release because I'd have to assume he's involved in it in some way because of the way season one ended. But since it got delayed they delayed the pre-order.
>>11774980They do, Maestro Union, Nottaa, Mety etc. have all managed it.
>>11774980Also 6inchplus upcoming Hulk body.
isn’t the shf IW Hulk considered the best hulk ever?Like why would i get the Hasbro one when the new shf looks like the definitive one again
>>11775144forgot pic
Just something about wanting a Sal Hulk means no toy will ever get it right it seems like. All of them got something wrong. Color wrong. Hair wrong. Eyebrows wrong. Eyes wrong. Torso wrong. Its tough being autistic
>>11774362when does he go on sale? I hope he is a general release
>>11774360>>11774363i didn’t get the shf NWH spideys, (mafex) but did Andrew & Tobey have raised webbing? because i think this suit is supposed to have raised webbing based off the other two suits

>>11775161>but did Andrew & Tobey have raised webbing?Yes they did. >because i think this suit is supposed to have raised webbing based off the other two suitsDoesn't look like it from the pic you posted.
>>11775178it’s raised in the movie
>>11774366Nobody tell him that he's been buying the same figure from Hasbro with different heads or that Cliffjumper is just a red Bumblebee.
>>11775168lol looks like shes pooping in the cat litter like a real cat.
>>11775168Now do one with cat Beast.
you didn't learn your lesson with broken diaper Spider-Manyou didn't learn you lesson with Cyclops (height not included)you are going to pay more for a Ragnarok Hulk passed off as Brand New Day Hulk.
>>11775189Doesn't look raised in that pic
>>11775168>Brie Larson returns to the MCU.
>>11773146My kingdom for a Red Harpy.
>>11774284Thanks Anon but the bad luck is not over yet there is a proposed quarry mine by my house that will be an open pit mine deeper than the Empire State Building.>>11775168Hahaha

>>11776591I'm not a vietnamese child or a retard like you. I don't put together my own figures.
>>11776591But does it scale with ML tho?
>>11776591>he thinks hasblow shiteaters will ever do model kits
>>11776604this kit is 14.5cm or 5.7in. for blokees stuff, it will say at the bottom right of the box what the height is. i dont know how tall ML female bodies usually are but 14.5cm is 0.5cm taller than what her true 1/12 scale should be so it's pretty much 1/12 or more accurately 1/11.5>>11776603cattle like you requires slop feeding. you'll never make something with your own hands like God intended
>>11776640>14.5cm or 5.7inI just measured my dark avengers ms marvel. She's slightly above 14.5cm but below 15cm. Assuming the blokees measurement is accurate, then i think she'll be fine. Now that makes me kinda wanna buy her now kek. She's just too damn pretty.
Oh my Amazon Lizards shipped, neat
Blokees will largely replace collector lines once the economy gets even worse and a few moreprice increases hit as they are far more cost efficient
>>11776737Yup
>>11776737i dont think hasbro will allow blokees to eat their place. theyre probably trying really hard to limit what blokees can release. i'll say this though, the blokees rivals moon knight is superb. crisp details, accessories ML can only dream of, wired capre, alternate head, at half the price or even a third of the price if you manage to buy it from indonesia apparently. for some reason its very cheap there
>>11776737Not with their stylized looks.
>>11776414>>11776415AoA was a great comic but most of the designs were ass. Magneto, Sabertooth, and Sugarman were the only real standouts. And I still hate looking at Sugarman even if he's a creative weirdo, so I didn't get his BAF.
>>11776747They are already letting the Action Master style TF Blockees in the US, and they are straight up kicking the asses of the last 3-4 years worth of US TF offerings from Hasbro, given how Legacy and Age of Primes have been some of the lowest selling lines of TFs in the modern era.
>>11776755only their old champions lines are stylised. the newer ones like MR stuff pretty close to the source material. especially the legends like ultraman, eva, miku, etc.
Blokees shills out in force this morning.
>>11776823only in strict figure form but lets be honest , that market has been cornered by chinese companies for over a decade now and hasbro cannot win it because don't offer those kinds of products>>11776828does it make you piss your pants that blokees mogs your worshipped toy line?
>>11776828They look really good. The major downside just seems to be you have to spend the time to assemble them.
>>11776831>>11776833>The only downside just seems to be you have to spend the time to assemble them. The love this line gets is so inorganic it isn't even funny. More than half this board builds model kits. Blokees aren't fucking rocking science, they're simpler gunpla, which is already simple in and of itself. Do you guys think putting together Lego is complicated too?
>>11776833time-wise, it doesn't take long at all if you don't care about nub marks. there's also no need for nippers, so a lot of time is reduced. i'd say 30 minutes is enough and maybe a little over an hour if you add sanding>>11776841this is why you're hasbro's cattle, anon. the other anon clearly mentioned the downside is TIME to assemble them, not how complex the build is. here let me remind you what the other anon said in cases your blind rage towards a company impeded your reading abilities >>11776833
I'm not buying hollow model kit crap.>waaah it looks better just put it togethercope.
>>11776882Blokees actually feel more solid than mafex
>>11776882Sorry about your baby hands, Anon
modelfags severely misunderstand the turn-off that is "assembly required". this is why your bullshit will stay niche forever while Lego eats your lunch.as for the "more value" cope, if you're this desperate to save money on buying action figures then I suggest you simply stop collecting. you've been priced out of the hobby, maybe don't re-elect a fucking moron for commander-in-chief next time.
>>11776954I'd like model kits more if they were just disassembled regular action figures that you need a screwdriver or whatever to put together
Lizard bros, where we at!

>>11777000>>11777001I prefer how the Retro Carded one looks so I skipped the deluxe.
>>11777012I got the BAF way back and sold it for 120 dollars on ebayI'm not getting another Lizard until it's pinless with a better tail
>>11777012>>11777014Fair, never owned the baf but prefer its bigger body to the retro but not so much as to drop 100 on it like others.
>>11777001damn I never knew liefeld drew the lizard
>>11777001
>>11777085is he supposed to have teeth and they didnt paint them?>>11777001can he bend his knees at all? I skipped due to the bright colors compared to the baf, no dinosaur head, and because they said its knees basically didnt work
>>11777143Yeah the knees are useless, you can move them very slightly but the knee joints may as well not exist
>>11777000mine comes in tomorrow and already sold it for 80.
They did a Marvel Legends Squirrel Girl, but based on her Unbeatable Run, right?
>>11777271she looks a generic version of squirrel girl, not fat
>>11777262didn't realize people were desperate for it. actually i had completely forgotten about pre-ordering it until it showed up today.
>>11777283I was going to cancel it until I saw amazon never restocked it.
>>11777284it sells out pretty fast whenever it went up in the past, and it's been on preorder since like January
>>11777000Why do people prefer the inaccurate giant dinolizard to the one on the right, to the point where it sold out fast and doesn't appear to be coming back in stock like people here claimed it would once preorders were done?
>>11777573Because they like what they like anon. They don't have to justify it to anyone. Personally, I prefer the retro carded, but I'm not lambasting anyone who does like the Deluxe. Who cares? Unless, you wanted it and missed your chance to pre-order.
>>11777000>>11777001I'll always prefer the less reptilian Lizard look where he stil plotted great replacement and not just sewer sharkin'. I'd get the retro card but I happen to think the legs on that fig look terrible
>>11776954>modelfags severely misunderstand the turn-off that is "assembly required"Obviously, we do. The whole fun for us is assembling the figure. Once it is finished, I just want to throw everything in the trash. It is like sex, the enjoyment comes from the act, not from having a child. But that is a conversation you toy purists are not ready to have.
>>11777924the greatest joy I get from toys is adjusting them on my shelf every few days, it reminds me of when I used to smoke cigarettes
>>11773146I want Hank Pym in his NOT Doctor Who outfit from West Coast Avengers
>>11777981I want Hank Pym as the Wasp, that costume looked so good imo
>>11773240Hell yeah>>11773146Lullaby, a one off villain from Sleepwalker
>>11773146This dude or his mainline universe counterpart.Jack Flag specifically in his GotG getup.Terrible Eye.
>>11778004Look at his inhuman feet. They almost look like a wasp's.
Do any collectors actually wear these types of 'toys'?
>>11778344I got the Star Lord helmet a few years ago and used it as a Halloween costume and then a cosplay costume at a con I went to. It worked just fine for that. I can see some people who do cosplay ant to get these types of products but at the same time anyone who is serious about that hobby is going to make their own that will probably look and fit better since the Hasbro items are "one size fits all" and thus don't fit everybody properly.
>>11773403Isn't that look plagiarized off a guy from a different company?
Any fellow champions fans? I just got GR and I feel like we're pretty much there. Still need classic Hercules, but then none of these outfits are 100% accurate for the run anyway.
>>11778392Taste hell fire!
>>11778344No, because they usually look like cheap shit and cost an arm and a leg. There is a few I would buy for a decent price/quality tho, like Magneto's helmet and your pic.
I wonder why they decided to even bother with the new Venom mold for this when Jeff would've sold the pack out to the mascot obsessed anyway
>>11778497waist crunch > waist cut > waist joint
>>11778497Damn the blokees looks better than this sloppy shit.
>>11778514And it doesn't cost 60 some dollars.
>>11776411Agreed. I read through the series a few months back and enjoyed the world or Crystallium. I'd like thw rest of the Crystal Warriors and Moltar at least, especially if he has some good volcanic texturing.
>>11778514>>11778516Too bad it's a shitty plamo, which isnt any better than this big accessory statue
>>11778514No it doesn't
>>11773444all of those pictures are terrible though. everything about them. the literal photography is shit. the figures are shit. the backdrops are shit.
Well, it still has the problems the original BAF had. The loose ankles, useless knees, and the tail. The heads are nice, though. And they are definite improvements over the dumb velociraptor head with a long tongue. Weird release, overall.
>>11778760The designers at the time this baf was made were weird. They made double jointed knees that didn't work. They could've just cut that articulation and saved money and avoided the pinholes. Instead they insisted on adding articulation that doesn't work. Were they really so bad at sculpting and engineering action figures that they didn't realize the joint would immediately hit plastic and be largely unusable when designed like that?
>>11778760I think they just want to rerelease every BAF for some reasonmost of the time it's been a lot of reuse so it's probably saving them money
>>11778392Hell yeah IOh wait, classic Champions. They're cool too.
>>11778742Signed, the person unable and unwilling to do better.
Does anyone else's 97 Rogue simply refuse to stand up? Ended up giving her a base. It's weird since she's got the thickest legs of any of the 97 females, yet the rest can stand up fine.
>>11778829Mine doesn't have any problems like that, but I remember my Retro VHS Storm falling over basically whenever I'd look at her. Granted, she was made from a shittier, gummier plastic than the 97 figures, but I think all the extra plastic for the hair combined with the thinness of the legs for female figures just leads to general balancing issues.
>>11778829yes since i got it. its molded uneven but not noticeable.
something old and something new(ish) arrived
>>11777000>>11777001present>>11778760can't say its the most thrilling addition to the collection but its nice to finally have a lizard figure
>>11778829Yeah mine is annoying to get balanced well. I think it's just because of how her legs are molded, her center of gravity is all sorts of fucked up.
Something about the new Ghost Rider head really bugged me. Not sure if it was the size, or the hair, but I replaced it with the old one and it feels a lot more accurate to me. Maybe its more skull less flame.
>>11778344I'm grabbing this for sure. Scott's one of my favorite characters and I'm a white dude with brown hair, so it's an easy Halloween costume or cosplay. 80 bucks is also cheaper than I was expecting in the price gouging hellscape we currently occupy.
Everyone paid $40 for a nonthrilling Lizard figure. Hasbro has us captured.
>>11779287To be fair, I'd fuck the Lizard.
>>11779287speak for yourself, I got that figure for "free" essentially back when it was a baf and the figures were all cheaper and then sold it on ebay after two weeks of having it on my shelf because I couldn't keep pretending it didn't look lame as hellsame thing happened with the SP/DR baf
>>11779287I didn't buy it. I'm happy with the retro carded Lizard I already own. But it isn't weird for some people to like a more monster styled Lizard. To each their own. I did finally ship my Pile of Loot with X-Factor Cyclops. Pretty happy with the team, would like a non furry Beast though.
>>11779128>>11779137That Destroyer is one of my all time favorite MS figures.
>>11779333gotta paint those boots on Jean
>>11779324you would've been better off hoarding it for a while as it began fetching almost a hundred on ebay. And it doesn't seem this reissue helped any since people want the dinosaur dark edgy lizard as well as the lighter, more comic accurate version which remains sold out. For the most part I've given up competing with ML collectors since you guys value plastic way too highly compared to me. Most of these I'd only buy on a sale. I remember when action figures were $3.99. Now that they're approaching $30 for basic figures, it seems ridiculous no matter how much articulation they have.
>>11779385No one asked
>>11779385I did sell it for over 100 dollars as I recall. But this was like 2016 or whenever, I tried to look it up just now but I don't think ebay even keeps records that far back.
>Spend 30 minutes struggling to put Phoenix's effect together without breaking anything so she can be the centerpiece of my 97 display>The wings are a fraction of an inch too tall to fit on the top step of the two tier riser in my detolfFuck...
>>11773146>What's a character only (You) want?Number None with the exposed modok pilot. The rest of the image is while I'm here.Honestly I'm surprised at how many nextwave characters we've gotten. Boom boom is the last. Also my personal morlock picks. I bought a five pack for calisto without the squid arms, so she's not a never-ever anymore, but litterbug and gargoyle caliban remain unlikely.
>>11779333>BeastOne damn figure and I'm done! You hear that, Medicom? Done!
>2 bullseyes on preorder>2 daredevils on preorder>rumors of maximum daredevil being announced this year>probably another spider-man retro wave with another random daredevil villain thrown ineatin' good in the neighborhood, mon freres
>>11779362I was tempted to keep him inbox since he looked so good in there but he's just as cool out of it. Not usually a sealed guy but the marvel select packaging is something nostalgic for me.I was surprised he wasn't that much taller than the marvel legend but I do like how wide he is, you can plant him down and know he won't budge.Does he have disc swivel waist articulation? Theres definitely a cut there but its stuck pretty good if its meant to move.
>>11779128I've sold all of my ML except for like 4 and the MvC ones because I'm going to resell them in a few years. I kept my selects Beta Ray Bill and Titanium man.
So how will this general react when they make Tokon figures? Are you going to seethe about those more than the Rivals designs
>>11779535>are you going to seetheno, I'm finna buss
>>11773146Since we got so many Ghost Riders, why not one of the live-actions? The movies are bad (even if I enjoy the second one) but both the ghosts and the bikes are great. We only had a hot toys for the first one, when the second has a much better design imo
>>11779529>I kept my selects Beta Ray Bill and Titanium man.Titanium man is awesome, first select I got. While the paint apps are real nice on the selects, I'm glad he doesn't have too many so I can pose him around without a care that something will flake off or get scratched.Beta ray bill will be next to get then rhino, though I know he has a bootleg floating around so I might wait for a sealed one to pop up>>11779535>Are you going to seethe about those more than the Rivals designsprobably more about the fact they wont get the rivals treatment at all, they'll definitely find a way to get some reuse in there
>>11779541thanks for posting that I meant to post about this earlier. https://5ktoys.com/collections/pre-order/products/111
>>11779541it depends, there's been rumors this whole time that Nic Cage's Johnny will have a cameo in Doomsday, and given he's on the hook for Spider-Noir, it could be legitBut it could also be that Spider-Noir is in Doomsday for 5 seconds or something
>>11779535>Rivals vs Tokonboth have awful designsbut I'm gonna shill for whoever releases Miles and Gwen first, and yes, it'll have to be blokees. I want to pay as low as possible for character designs I'll hate.
>>11779567So much this. Why can't these games just use the classic costumes instead of their terrible OC donut steel designs? Thank god for Cosmic Invastion, that just being a game with classic designs was a breath of fresh air.
>>11778872That coat looks like shit>>11779128Based>>11779333There are literal fucking comic covers you could use for pose ideas, dude. JFC.
>>11779467Oh dang, got a template Anon?
>>11779467Callisto's always been in a weird limbo where idiots can't decide between "No she needs to be ugly" "No what if she was beaaautiful" and what that even means, and it would be neat if everyone could have just come together on the wild swing of "just give her cool tentacles". Also I wish Marrow ever looked like that picture, I could never get into her because she usually looks way too much like "What if we cut off Rachel's jedi rattail and made her even more edgy, literally". >>11779526>>11779135>>11779128Damn, the Destroyer looks pretty good. I might have to think about making that might first MS.
>>11779545https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QjNrIWaOY3EMaking me remember the good old days
>>11779467>CallistoExquisite taste, Anon. Also seconding that request for a template.
>>11773146been a while, I actually had to update since they've done owl and lady bullseye and acceptable standard DD and Elektra since I last made one, and they barely even do BAFs anymore, but I'll always want a Daredevil wave.
>>11779699>>11779606can you fucking zoomers really not make blank squares?
Funny thing is I had the template in question saved on my PC for years and only just lost it in a reformat last year
There, I got bored.
>>11779719Typhoid Mary definitely needs a more retro appearance-themed figure.
>>11779790Out of everyone I think she'd be the most likely to just show up randomly in a retro card Spider-man waveBut aside from the bow legs the terrible posability, the "modern" one from the venom wave is still okay, it has really good face.
>>11779467I'm pretty new to collecting comic book shit, but they made a fucking Dirk Anger figure before Boom-boom?
>>11779820>Dirk AngerIt was an alternate head for a Nick Fury figure.
>>11778872That looks bad.
>>11779467>Honestly I'm surprised at how many nextwave characters we've gottenSome needs an update, I'd love to get Elsa with double elbows.
>>11779834Might head swap her onto one of those coomer figures.
>>11779591How's this?
>>11779764Thanks Anon.>>11779749I'm on my phone most of the day since I work nights, and laying out aligned squares for templates like this is tough on a screen that size.
The Born Again season 2 finale actually kind of made me want to get one of those ML DD helmets.
>>11779959Better
Apparently the Target exclusive Onslaught will be going up for pre order on June 5th according to Marvelous News.
Reminder that Onslaught's articulation rivals turn of the century nonToybiz figures and this is what 40 bucks buys now
>>11779214I guess I can see what you mean. Since early Johnny was drawn all skull with flame behind.>>11778397 has the flame looking more like hair.
>>11779959>bending the knee at the bottomAs expected from an ESL.
>>11780375We know sister, you just love to complain
Legendary Comic Book Heroes needs to return. I'd like to own some indieshit waifus.
How fucked am I if I want to collect OG X-Force?
>>11780468Both figuratively (the released X-Force figures are all over the place look-wise) and and finacially. Assuming you can find him, X-Men 97 works as a cheap alternative to the Liefeld Cable ML which goes for big bucks. Or you can say fuck it and get the Landrom Cable figure but even with a re-release it's expensive. Domino and Rictor are super fucking expensive being in a three pack with a fixed Cannonball and can cost around $75-100, especially Rictor. But again, you have design problems as Domino is Liefeld era and is in the costume only Vanessa wore while posing as Domino, while Rictor is in his Capullo era outfit. Cannonball you are royally fucked. His single release has no fucking legs, making him the worst Marvel Legend figure ever made. And the fixed version, which had legs? ONLY FUCKING AVAILABLE IN THE ABOVE RICTOR/DOMINO/CANNONBALL THREE PACK! The gimp figure can be bough for pocket change but the fixed proper figure is $100+ if by some miracle you can find him loose and often only available in the box set. AND he's in Liefeld era New Mutants/early X-Force purple/white era colors, not the garrish yellow and blue colors he had during the Capullo era. Boom Boom is in her Liefeld era X-Force costume, not her hideous Capullo era outfit (thank God) and can be found cheapWarpath and Sunspot are also cheap, but while James is basically Yost/Kyle era X-Force Warpath repainted in his classic costume with shoulder pads, Sunspot is the Capullo era costume. Both can be found relatively cheap. Shatterstar is his classic costume but can be a bit pricey because of low distribution and that it's been nearly a decade since he was released. Feral just came out and is her classic costume. But basically, you have two different versions of the classic line up mashed together with no fucks given.
>>11780379good one
>>11779628He's worth it if you can find him for a decent price, whatever that might be for you.I paid $95aud which seemed reasonable for a sealed price, also happened to be the only local option, and I'm very happy adding him to the collection. My only concern would be displaying him somewhere he won't take a nosedive. As sturdy as he feels I imagine his spikes being dulled or chipped is a common issue in second-hand figures.
I think it's time for new versions of these guys.
>>11780576they did darcula and wereman by night last year
>>11780590Then we just need Frankie and Simon.Toss in Straw Man while we're at it and Manphibian.
>>11780576if they make the rest the same quality as werewolf by night, I dont want em
>>11780602ok
>>11780602Can I have yours then
>>11772460enough with the redditisms you gay nigger
maybe next year they'll do a Born Again 2-pack with MCU Bullseye and Lady Muse
>>11780618sure, just dont be surprised if the biceps are a loose, gummy mess and im keepin the baf piece
>>11780650The Met Gala gets weirder every year.
For fans of Spidey TAS, you can make a pretty easy and more accurate TAS Hydro Man by just putting the GI Joe Chuckles head on him (requires to drill the hole bigger though and repaint the neck to match the skintone) and put some blue paint over his shirt.I got the chuckles head separately from here: aliexpress.com/item/1005007776257812.html
>>11778872Yeah, I passed on the 97 Storm for the Retro for the long hair and her head's heavy as hell. Luckily she's THE X-men you'd want on a flight stand more than anyone else and I put her on an Act 4 immediately. It certainly looks it from the hair, but is the basketball Rogue head heavier than the default?
>>11780590It's the Vlad the Impaler redesign though, which while cool, I'd also love a new classic Marvel Drac.
>>11780828Probably not until the Bela film is public domain, Universal is notoriously protective of their Drac design. It's why Drac in Hotel Transylvania is just Adam Sandler.
>>11779134I've anyone remembers the V series (OG and reboot) this figure makes a great reptilian. Just remove the cape and paint the clothing different shades of flat red.
>>11780828>I'd also love a new classic Marvel Drac.Seconded>>11780842Tomb Of Dracula version was loosely based on actor Jack Palance which is what I'd love to see updated but I doubt it'll ever happen. The character is public domain and anybody can make a figure but you'd need to copy Bela's version exactly to get in trouble by both Universal and the Bela estate.
I wonder if anyone actually buys these things or if the fact that you have to paint it yourself turns off too many people, I never see any finished results pop up anywhere so they could basically not even exist
I want this pretentious nigga on my shelf like you wouldn't believe
>>11782069He looks cool but I'm not a fan of that Bullseye he comes with, I prefer the classic one I already have.
>>11782073I agree, but I'm going to use that one as a stand-in for an MCU bullseye until they actually make one, so for me it's not the most annoying 2-pack I've ever bought for 1 figure
New Thread:>>11782743>>11782743>>11782743
