I do know this guy. This is Speedball after he and the other New Warriors caught Nitro, causing him to explode an elementary school and kicked off Civil War. Speedball felt guilty and emo, because emo was cool af the time, and made a suit that had like 600 or so spikes on the inside that constantly stabbed him, each spike representing a life lost in Stanford. Penance is probably one of the edgiest things Marvel has ever done. I'll grab him. I'm slowly putting together an Ellis Thunderbolts and I need him and a Andreas Von Strucker Swordsman to round out that team.

Also, should I cancel Secret Wars DD then if they're just going to do a Maximum?

Penance Robbie is a cool design that was wasted on the rape of a comedy character that was defiled because Brevoort has a massive hate boner for the New Warriors.

And even with that lore, Penance Speedball is still better than murue Penance, who had her entire backstory junked and rendered radioactive (along with M) because Larry Hama DESPISED Generation X and being kicked off Wolverine/forced to write it to stay employed at Marvel and actively tried to destroy the book's characters to force it to be cancelled.

Hell, a Robbie Penance/Americop or Robbie Penance/civilian Norman Osborn would sell better than any Gen X Penance

What's the deal with them not making figures for the new ultimate universe? They're making wolverine now, but you'd think they'd jump at the chance to make new versions of "close enough" classic/default costumes for characters like Spider-Man. They've now waited so long that the whole thing is coming to an end before they've gotten a single related character made.

Getting caught up with Born Again S2. First two episodes felt like an improvement on the first season, though not a dramatic one. Finished episode 3 earlier though and holy shit did that come together well at the end. It's also kind of making me want a black suit Matt figure. And that's saying a lot, because I fucking hate Shadowland.

I'm very mixed on what to think of S2. I can tell the actors and directors are putting everything they've got into it, the action scenes and cinematography are amazing. At the same time, oh my god can the dialogue be hokey as FUCK often. I don't think I have too much an issue with the overall plot, it's entertaining, but jesus some of these lines they make them read are ridiculous; just very phoned in, they really needed another pass.
It's enough to make me wonder if I preferred BA S1 honestly.
