They should have included an action face, if nothing else as an homage to the original game having exactly two faces ingame: neutral and shooting.

You vill take the "overthinking her life choices" Lara and you vill like it!
>>
>>11859012
It's honestly better than I expected. The price sucks, but Hasbro and Crystal Dynamics know that the fanbase has waited 30 years for an actually good Lara figure, so they both know that they don't have to let it sell cheap.

Personally, I'm not a fan of action faces because most of the time it looks like they're trying to take a hard shit.

Super7 said they could get the price down if they could break into being on retail shelves more and eliminate their made to order pre-orders. Brian Flynn implied that if he had a section at Target like Neca does he could do it. That’s why they made a Godzilla line that they primarily sell at Target. They could maybe make Reaction+ cheaper if not for the fact that mostly the Joe sells in high demand. Some things, while cool like the Back to the Future figures just don’t fly off pegs like Joe does. Joe has such high turn around that figures are in hand before they get announced or within days of being announced.

I don't know who this dude is, but after a quick skim of some of his art, I like a lot of what he does. Would love to see a sub-line of his OC Joe stuff and while practically impossible, his Silverhawk stuff would make for great cartoon designs. Now my only question is what fictional cartoon band can he bring to live to play a concert at NYCC?

>>11860979
You keep making this moronic claim but haven't once even tried to back it up with any evidence of it happening. They've been putting out fan favorite figures and vehicles since the start of the line and have done pretty much all the major vehicles in order of original 80s releases and popularity. I can't think of one vehicle released to date that wasn't absurdly popular and most figures from the early years of the original one have already been made.

Men in Black have been a thing for decades, I first heard of them back in the 90s on Unsolved Mysteries

>>
>>11863174
what would you do if they added Jem and her gang to the Classified series?
>>
>>11863174
I'd rather it be just a random musician who comes across the DIRE tech and uses it to help people while being a better performer. Cobra goes after her because she stole their stuff and the Joes have to help her because Cobra is after her. This way she can still be an active part of the storyline but still be, and hopefully, spin off into her own story.

It's crazy that Hasbro has failed so many times at making a giant "shared universe" of all their toylines when it's so easy to accomplish they did it entirely by accident back in the 80s.

>>11863258
Make it so her father was one of the original engineers of the tech who was taken out because he wanted to stop Cobra from weaponizing it, and she stumbles upon the proto-type, pre-weaponized version of the tech to use for good. Cliche story yes, but essentially her origin anyway and nobody really cares about backstory for genres like this.

Oddly enough the Hasbro Legends TV channel has Jem as one of two cartoons that they show 7 days a week as if it's a big hit for them. The other being GI Joe. Jem only ran for two seasons, and I don't see a lot of girls today relating to big poofed-up pink and blue hair.
>>
>>11863174
>Jem was essentially the original Vtuber
>That horse series 2010 show managed to become a huge hit even among males

>>11863651
Wasn't Jem their big girls hit back in the day?
>>
>>11863726
Yes, but if it ws still popular then they'd be selling the Jem toys like they've been doing with GI Joe. In a modern setting My Little Pony is more popular even if the people who like it are all gay and trans men. I haven't seen that one on yet.
>>

The timing of the new Street Fighter Movie and a big push for Ninja Force can't be a coincidence. Will NYCC in October when the SF movie releases finally be the big reveal for SF x GI Joe Classified now that the Series is open to collabs. Hasbro also buying the license for the SF movie figures is also telling. Man I really hope they do it.
>>
>>11863800
I think some of it like Big Bad Beetleborgs is filler, but overall it's been shows that have had new stuff out for over the past few years. And cartoons overall are infomercials to sell toys. Jem is the only head-scratcher because it's on 7 days a week in spite of having no supporting toy line since it ended in 1987. My only guess is the cartoon does somehow get the ratings enough to pay for keeping it on.

After they sank TR and generated a $300 million loss for Square-Enix, they somehow found the investors (mainly the Embracer Group) to buy it out from Square-Enix. And it totally doesn't look like they deliberately sank it so they could finally own it after pushing aside CORE, Eidos, and Square-Enix. Nah.

Not Americans; liberals. They see themselves as "global citizens," and only call themselves "patriotic Americans" when it can politically serve them, like now with them claiming that taking in the trash over 50 countries want to get rid of to make their own countries suck less is because they love America while getting everyone to forget all the times they had upside-down flags, burned flags, banned flags for offending non-Americans on American soil, and outright sided with enemies in times of war.

And they hate Lara. They want Lara to be who they decide she is, not how she was created. They have zero respect for the people who created and built the property. They see those people who created everything they today are living off of as evil. And they honestly believe that their opinions of how Lara should be are more important than what customers are willing to pay for. That's why they lost so much money.

With GI Joe, Transformers, and Jem all in the same universe, they could really take it in any direction now. Maybe the tech used to create Synergy and help Jem's band "dress up" in holograms is what Cobra uses to project their ghost holograms for their DIRE force.

Well really they've already tossed in MASK as being in the same universe even though it originated separately. And I wouldn't complain about a Classified Vanessa and Brad.

They've tried repeatedly to do some sort of big shared universe and it always falls flat, mainly because they always try to do it the wrong way. It's always start with the big franchise (Transformers) and shoe-horn a reference or easter-egg or something into said media. But without building up the other franchises first, no one will care what's crossing over with what.

Hasbro just needs to start doing straight up kids cartoons again. Hire people who care, let them have some fun and tell just the most basic of stories and get these franchises back into the modern media landscape. Pick a streaming platform to cram em all into and see what works and what don't.

Hasbro has been wanting to be more of an IP company forever, but if it doesn't actually make use of those IPs, then they're never going to be more then just a toy company.

It's the same shitty as on all Classified Series figures, male or female. Compare it to the asses on male or female figures in the Legends Series, since it's the same company, albeit different teams. But they probably use the same factory.
Then compare if to the asses on figures from McFarlane, which unless it tries to do pants or suits, has actual asses like your left illustration.
I don't own anything from Mattel but apparently their wrestling figures, even the females, at least based on the promo shots on Big Bad and Amazon, is the only major toy line making equally flat, non-existening asses as Classified.
>>
>>11868131
>They've tried repeatedly to do some sort of big shared universe and it always falls flat, mainly because they always try to do it the wrong way.

That isn't just Hasbro, though, its a byproduct of the MCU. Even though the MCU has gone to shit, and even had few stinkers during its "golden age," they successfully built it up for something like 15 years. Many of these other companies just saw the success Marvel was having, and tried to skip to the end without the years of buildup across dozens of movies. DC tried to do it and failed. There was that shitty attempt at building a "Dark Universe" with the Universal Monsters starting with that Tom Cruise Mummy movie and although I never saw it, I heard that it pretty much shot itself in the foot because it spent too much time trying to lay the groundwork for future movies that it barely focused on its own plot. Hasbro tried to do it with having the GI Joe stinger at the end of one of the Transformers movies.

They just can't be bothered to really put in the effort of building shit up on its own before crossing it over. They just want a multi-billion dollar juggernaut multiverse franchise after just one or two half-baked attempts.

Before that, after Retaliation got a sequel greenlit right after it's opening weekend, Hasbro and Paramount wasted the rest of the 2010s trying to develop a movie that would be a launchpad for a "Hasbro Cinematic Universe" instead of just making a third GI Joe movie. How are the reaction figures? Specially wanna know about the Fatal Fluffy ones. Good quality? Wont break easy?
>>
>>11870018
They're good quality. Some of them have very soft details that make them really stand out in a vintage collection, but that's not all of them. Unpainted rivets help them stand out too. But overall the quality is good. You do have to be careful with removing them from the blister tray because the blister tray is designed to hold them in and not give them up without a fight. So it's best to push the blister tray away from the figure before trying to get it out.
>>
>>11869576
I like the few small 3"/3.5" and 4" figures I have, maybe 10-15 if you don't count movie figure duplicates. With a 12" Godzilla or a huge robot or 12" dino, they can make a fun, secondary or tertiary display or for toy photography.
But I wouldn't want to do an entire focus.

>>11870815
Nta but I kind of agree with him. The kids have massive heads that scale with Barbie so they don't real fit a Neca Horror Icon/Universal Monsters vs trick-or-treaters motif. The masks aren't removable but clothes are for some reason. I'd rather they just make 1/10 costumes so my Joes can wear them. Imagine putting the Batman costume on Batman. That's fun.
>>
>>11871008
So you fundamentally don't understand the point of the figures. You are just a very dumb individual then.

Of course the masks aren't removable except in certain cases. Why would they be? They're meant to work with the heads created for the line. Of course the costume is removable, that's how you mass produce soft goods to go on that same body. The scale is the retro cloth line...how stupid are you? Use your brain.

Or maybe they over-sold internet orders with inventory meant for the actual stores? Just make your way to a local Target, make your way past the men fighting over Pokemon cards, and see what they have.

What do you think everyone's been doing the past few weeks? Almost every store has a dedicated scalper or employee taking the whole case before it ever hits the floor.

NTA, but le's see...
You claim the masks aren't removabble because they're too cheap. No, that doesn't make any sense and I would love for you to dig up any kind of info to back that up. It sounds like you're just butthurt child.

>Also their heads are WAY too large for 8 inch
No, no, they aren't. I don't think you understand how goofy looking kids are at that age. It would appear your autistic rage affected any attempt at though in your head.

He says, while jerking off too military bullshit. The gayest shit on Earth. You may want to curb your projection just a teensy bit.

hope the thigh holster is removable. Also, he needs the soot staining on the face like the OG had.

Its a seperate piece on the prototype, so worse case scenerio you have to pop the leg to get it off.

Are you still jerking off to military men? You really should do something about that.

That looks alright. Sadly I know it'll be priced beyond my ability to afford it.
>>
>>11869508
That didn't happen. chris Ryall and Aubrey Sitterson forced the race swap via lying about having plans for Duke which he didn't and Kirkman continuing Ryall's work to make black Tracker a thing even though fans rejected it, out of spite and malice towards fans
>>
>>11871786
>out of spite and malice towards fans
Because it's always a good idea to take a shit on the people giving you money to buy shit from you.
>>
>>11871392
I don't. They'd be slimmer if they were molded in or set in.
>>
Did you get one of the incorrectly assembled Cobra Commanders?
>>
>>11872036
It would be better if he didn't come with a superfluous thigh holster at all, when he has the appropriate tanker chest rig, but deviation from the OG designs won't be tolerated, so here we are.
>>
>>11872062
Which one?
>>
>>11870018
I bought a few early on and thought they were shit. The pant was bad, the build quality was bad, they just felt cheap, the ones I had couldn't hold their weapons at all, and the way their feet and legs are designed kind of made it annoying to get them to stand. And I thought they were overpriced as fuck taking all of those things into account.

That said, I recently got suckered into buying the Ninja Force Snake Eyes and Cobra Commander, and they were considerably better than the old ones I had. I dare say I even quite enjoyed them. Most of the issues I had with those early ones aren't a problem anymore, though the feet issue still remains, and I still think they're overpriced.

If they do some of the more oddball sublines, I'd probably get more, as I did like these two.

Just watched the video on their facebook page. Final product will be shown in September, with a preorder in October. Sucks it got pushed all the way out to ruin christmas budgets, and probably be at the same time as the Thunder Machine. He emphasized it would have weathering this time so it won't be a big hunk of plane plastic like their first tank.

This topic is prematurely auto-saging. I'm not gonna deal with making a new one. I've been doung it since late last year, and now I'm dealing with personal shit of my uncle dying of cancer, so I'm trying to spend time while I still can. If someone else wants to make the next one then go for it. GI Joe is the last thing I can deal with right now.

>>11872265
>I still think they're overpriced.
Hasbro's licensing fees make the prices unavoidable.

The throne Cobra commanders are coming out and some are incorrectly assembled, its on toy news sites

It’s in one of the Hascon interviews regarding that year’s con set, which had the IDW Matt Trakker. The Hasbro representative who I believe was a brand manager is asked about the race swap, and he specifically says that they feel like Duke having blonde hair and blue eyes and then Matt Trakker also having blonde hair and blue eyes is offensive. Race swapped Matt Trakker has continued at Skybound, so it must be either a Hasbro or Paramount mandate for the Mask movie they keep trying to make.

>>
>>11872646
They're only in Pyramid of Darkness, the 5-part story that opens season 1 of the cartoon. There's long been speculation that the Fatal Fluffies were based on Hasbro's original concept for what 'Dreadnoks' were going to be, but I don't know if it's ever been confirmed for certain. All we really know is the story Larry Hama told about how Hasbro had designs for Ewok-like creatures, he convinced them that they couldn't have the Joes running around shooting things that looked like teddy bears, and pitched the idea of using the Dreadnoks name for a biker gang instead.

This sort of reaction strikes me as silly?
Are you unfamiliar with the G.I.Joe product and lore?
I suggest you might at least watch the first 4 episodes of the cartoon series to maybe aquatint yourself with the characters so you might gain more appreciation of your toy purchases.
Perhaps even consider watching the first season of the animated series.
A lot of Joe fans have done this to understand some of the design choices and history for the team and also their foes.
it answers such questions as "Who is the Viper and why is he the Joes top foe?" and
"is the OP of these posts

Shut up bitch, this is a damn lie.
We loved G.I.Joe.
Why do you think Roadblock got so popular they made a new figure for him in 1986?
Hell, we didnt fully understand Destro was Scottish. We just heard that cool black man voice and loved the character.

I got both this set and the Fatal Fluffy. Kind of glad it sat for a bit, but honestly none of the past SDCC stuff have been that hard to grab. I passed on the Once a Man figure a half dozen times before it finally sold out and I could've grabbed the Pythona figure in person at NYCC until she finally sold out late sunday afternoon. I did grab the Cold Slither set from there though, mainly because the bassist from the actual band convinced me to do it...while dressed as a Fatal Fluffy.

That was a good con.
