Please stop thriving

>>11867052oh me so sorry for disrespect honorabru hasblo
I wish someone else could make the OP. Anyway I've been transforming my DC seekers since I'll be replacing them with SS86, and all of them had this issue where their shoulders (specifically the mushroom peg) became incredibly tight, almost like it stuck to the shoulder piece, to the point I'm pretty sure Starscream's is broken and his shoulder stays in place due to some pin. Was this some common issue with the earthrise seeker mold? If you have one please try moving their shoulders forward and back a bit and see if they're super tight.
>>11867098SS86 Coronation Starscream owner here. His shoulder mushroom pegs still glide softly on my copy.
As a former hardcore MP collector I was not aware the MPG boxes were changed
>>11867044>Are you excited to restart your Transformers Animated and Transformers Prime collections after Hasbro scammed you into buying Legacy slop?No because I still own all my original Animated and Prime toys in great condition and never gave a shit about the Legacy versions.
Jetfire review.https://youtu.be/-KK8aT3LMws?si=fXft-6vdDyM_04Ru
People rarely talk about Wild King here. Do these guys have CHUG engineering/articulation or are they their own thing?
>>11867134Worst design I've ever seen. I'd rather get raped for a 1099 years than own that slop
>>11867143They are their on thing, jap autism combiners with poor articulation.
>>11867145>Worst design I've ever seen. How did you manage to avoid the entirety of Bayformers until now? I'm impressed.

>>11867044Animated wasp, prowl, prime dreadwing/skyquake and chromia were all alright.
>>11867134Really looking forward to this. Looks like a fun toy. I just wish HasTak had paid closer attention to reference materials and gotten the chest right.
>>11867145? What's wrong with Armada Jetfire?
>>11867167At least the reviews confirm the nosecone can tilt back to make the torso look slightly better.
>>11867167Did they ever admit that it was a mistake because they looked at the wrong artwork? Seeing the video, it seems like they did it more for the transformation.
>>11867134It looks way worse and cheaper than the original toy in every way. Especially the arms.
>>11867134>"That'll be $100 + Tax + Tip + Made up Tariff"
>>11867174It absolutely was a mistake, otherwise they would have engineered at least the top part of the cheat to slide a bit up to mimic the proper chest, and have the crotch fold to reveal something similar to the OG toys crotch.
>>11867175You're welcome to your opinion but the head at least is clearly much better on the new one. The OG was weirdly squashed.>>11867192Here in the UK we just call that RRP :(
I grew up with Armada as my first Transformers and I literally do not care how accurate this new Jetfire is to the animation or toy or whatever the fuck.It looks like Armada Jetfire enough for me. I'm not going to start acting like one of those retarded G1 tooners faggots just because its now my turn or something.
>>11867210I can agree with thatThe old is fat with shrimpy arms and the new one is fat with shrimpy armsEither way you're getting your dad-bod shuttle
>>11867167>Looks like a fun toy. I just wish HasTak had paid closer attention to reference materials and gotten the chest right.Agree. I own the original and the chest thing bothers me to no end, but I also appreciate how they managed to rework the transformation to actually give articulation to the pants.
They had to fit the combined legs and waist the original toy didnt have somewhere, while still having room for the arms. That's not me saying saying you have to like the new chest but I also don’t believe it was some kind of mistake.
>>11867152Very funny but Bayformers was surpassed by the Aligned continuity, IDW and whatever the fuck this is
>39.99 plus tipPrices are getting out of hand.hHow is wave 1 of these? Scorcher feels kind of lazy
>>11867269This design doesn't exist outside of a lore book, sadly we can't say the same for bayformers
Never cared about Animated and only ever got the Predacons from Prime (and one Shockwave), so no.
>>11867044>Are you excited to restart your Transformers Animated and Transformers Prime collectionsNo, I liked the Legacy designs for characters like Bulkhead, Dreadwing and Knockout because they fit my G1 collection better, I've no interest in starting a separate Prime or Animated collection.I hope mainline still puts out more hybrid designs like this.
>>11867044>Are you excited to restart your Transformers Animated and Transformers Prime collectionsNever had one in the first place. Will grab the fembots though.
>>11867329So, all 2 of them?
>>11867052Shut the fuck up, hope you choke on legacy arcees shitty clear plastic
>>11867328The concept definitely works the best on characters who don’t have G1 counterparts like BulkheadLike why the fuck would I want a “G1” Animated Bumblebee when I can just use…G1 Bumblebee
>>118673324 if I recall. Although 2 of them are just versions of Arcee. And the other two are pretty much the same character with different names...
>>11867274All are good toys, but I didn't find them worth the money. Scorcher is also notable for having so many decals that it makes transformation a hassle, specially since they didn't add a clear coat.
>>11867346I guess ill pick up the other (3?) If I see them on sale, these are flying off the shelves around here though, so I won't hold my breath. Shame about the Scorcher problem.
>>11867344That's probably why they avoided doing most of the big names from the Prime cast. They only started going all in with Optimus and Bumblebee with Animated.

>be at GameStop to buy a Transformer >its locked to the wall hangar>go wait at register to ask permission to overpay for my figure >be next in line >right then, fellow autist calls and asks about the new Skywarp>boomer woman who is inexplicably working at this store clicks on her keyboard for a few seconds and tells them they don’t have it >my turn, get walked like a dog over to my figure to get it unlocked >skywarp is right there >ask them if they have caller ID because they do have the figure he was calling about>suggest they call him back and that it will probably make his day >all three employees literally shrug their shoulders and do nothing Afterward I really felt some fomo to grab it for myself. However I am truly struggling to justify replacing my Earthrise with them. Their improvements are so incremental, especially for the price and then aim not even fully sold on their “tooner” aesthetic anyway. This is actually one of a few conundrums that pissed me off so bad I stopped buying these damn things for almost a year. Can the new one point its toes? Also, pretty sure Earthrise’s jet mode is far more realistic looking, no?
>>11867391>Also, pretty sure Earthrise’s jet mode is far more realistic looking, no?Who the fuck gives a shit
>>11867392He does, clearly.
>>11867044I have neither and just want a new Armada Blurr or G1 reimagining of Shatter and Dropkick. Anything else Hasblow offers me can fuck off.
>>11867396Yeah. Thanks. >>11867392Im probably one of the only Transformers fans who don’t actually give a shit about the seekers. Im way more an autobot guy. The fact they turn into jets is the the only cool part about them for me. I like jets.
I’m looking them both over and honestly the new one’s jet looks better in some ways. It has thrusters and landing gear for starters. I’m probably just coping. Even if I do decide to rebuy those motherfuckers again I can definitely get them cheaper than GameStop, and I see the KOs are coming. In fact I just found a listing for KO Skywarp.
>>11867398>Im way more an autobot guy.Same honestly, lambo brothers and the daibatzuns are way cooler
>>11867391>Also, pretty sure Earthrise’s jet mode is far more realistic looking, no?Not really, no. ER is like a mishmash of different jet designs with its vent thrusters and cockpit shape. The studio series even with the toon look is a much closer depiction of the classic F15.
>>11867406I do see this now. Amongst several other things to like about the new Studio Series. So even if I did want to grab them, Starscream is unobtanium. I think maybe I should just save those funds for Overgear
>>11867210I think you're wrong for this and should just keep your thoughts in your head next time but Jetfire will just be pants for me anyway since I have the old alt color one anyway which I like more design wise.I'm more annoyed about the minicons looking wrong, mainly the arm being a dumb little tube on one of them, makes both modes look so dumb
>>11867418Yeah i still don't know why they changed the minicon like that, it also changes how the requiem blaster looks now
>>11867418>and should just keep your thoughts in your head next timeYou and I both know there's no benefit to me doing that.
>>11867391I can't get this because the ER are like 4140+ still because there hasn't been a reissue and they were a god damn Target exclusive, So they can suck my ass clean

Except Starscream since he's the only one with a personality that anyone remembers. I know one of the two between Skywarp and Thundercracker hates war or something but can't remember which. The rest might as well be vehicons.
>>11867469Fuck Hasbro's greed

>>11867478I REALLY wish he was a bit better but I came around to really liking him and I hated like everything about TF One
>>11867391I think the #1 thing Earthrise has over the Studio Series is the fact that the cockpit isn’t his entire damn chest. Accurate or not I like the way Earthrise handled it
>>11867528>that Sideswipe deserved better.its alright he almost always is playable in most TF games worth a shit
My lot came here from ebay. My holy grail was Icebird, and to a lesser extent g2 Laser Prime mold and Universe Cheetor. Its crazy they were all in one lot. Blackarachnia is cool too but I already had Crystal Widow and had no idea they were even different characters till now. I'm kind if disappointed because the seller didnt have robot (or owl in Icebirds case) mode pics he was missing more parts and more warn out paint than I thought. Also Rail Racer guy has no robot mode head and Im wondering if I should message the seller but he was very honest about everything. if I ever get the other 2 for his combined mode it wont matter.
Nevermind I love him.The old kenner sculpts were amazing.

Anyone notice that tfw 05 is gone?
They are here. Grimlock. Damn, it is beautiful with all the paints. No paint QCs on my copy so thanks to whoever I should pray to. Though, the hip lateral movements are somewhat loose. They are only like half pinned from the back so are not as strong as they can be. Another problem is that the symbol/heat sticker is on a curved surface and the corner does peel. I don't know if apply white glue help. >This guy can kneelI am shocked over this Green lio prime. I think I like this one better than the previous takara version. Almost no paint makes the figure a lot easier to play. As much TSpark charges for its premium stuff, the previous one still got some paint issues with the gold. I got Big Convoy for $30. He’s pretty cool. Initially I felt a bit let down but once I modded his neck so he can look down a bit and also realized his shoulders can rotate backward I like him a lot better than straight out of the box. Helps him stand a bit more dynamically. Its a real shame he has all that unused real estate in his abdomen where an ab crunch should have been
>>11868070Same, I also got mine for free but it came with some minor paint scuffs and I've debated returning it because it flares up my ocd. Sort of related, since I know some people here probably touch up their figures with paint:-Anyone know if there's a specific paint that matches the blue used on Big Convoy's chest?-Anything to touch up the silver skirt on Bruticus or Onslaught's visor?-I also got a cheap 40th Lio, but it has scuffs on the head and I'd also rather touch it up.

>>11868532Just spoke to someone at Target. Apparently Hasbro was unable to fufuill the orders they promised. Not sure if it's necessarily on Target this time. This is such bullshit, Hasbro better fucking address this. I'm tempted to call them too.

>>11868533considering they kept the preorder window open for hours I think the blame is still firmly with target, could have told you this would happen on day 1, there was no way they were ever getting as many as the orders they took
Just spoke with Hasbro and they basically told me we're shit out of luck and that they would pass it along to the correct team. Sorry, but that's bullshit. I highly encourage every single person who has had their item cancelled to not only call and bother Target about it, but call Hasbro customer service directly to bitch to them. It won't accomplish anything, but if it pisses someone off, more power to it. I know this is toys and these things are not important in the slightest and how childish it comes off as getting mad at something like this, but holy fuck, this is fucking shameful. I usually defend Hasbro, not so much Target, I worked there as a teenager, the suck, but holy fuck this is inexcusable. So go and complain to Target and Hasbro, maybe if enough people bitch something will happen.
>>11868535Apparently they don't do a first come first serve basis because I ordered mine literally the minute it went up. Such bullshit. They kept the ML Onslaught solicit opened as long as the Starscream one, that one got fufilled. I still blame Hasbro.

This time I'm genuinely pissed. Also, Target's hold time bumped up from like two minutes to ten so I'm thinking people are calling and bitching about this now.
>Americans seething about Target exculsive including SS Starscream>I already got my Starscream like for a week already from regular mom and pop online sellerIt's not a Hasbro problemIt's a giant retailers problem There is no reason living in the none nation of Taiwan you can get all the exclusive you want (unless it is short supply) from normal sellers but Target and Walmart can't get stocked.
>>11868549Shut up faggot no one asked for your gay little opinion
I think Hasbro deserves most shit that's thrown at them but I don't like how Takara gets scot free with everything. They've got an history of getting people to buy expensive decos for figures that they perfectly know will have complete new molds releasing very soon (most of the Dramatic Cap series, a lot of MP figures including the very first Optimus), and their designers are often to blame too for a lot of baffling mold engineering choices. And a lot of their own premium figures also came with widespread QC issues.
>pay out the ass>order online >pre-order>"whoops canceled">"good luck on the aftermarket, sucker!"I don't much like this hobby anymore. Transformers are still cool, they're just not as fun to collect when it's like this.
>>11868554I feel this. The upset I'm feeling over this isn't even over Starscream or Prowl, it's 'what the fuck am I bothering with any of this garbage for?'. Like, why bother collecting anything if you have to put up with this shit like this on the regular.
>>11868559I'm not quite at that point, as usually, I don't have that many issues getting the figs I want. And even if I do miss out, it usually isn't a big deal. However, this time, and I don't know why it is, maybe it's the fact that everyone got fucked over, but the rage I feel towards this is unreal. I saw that if you complain to Target's customer service though they'll credit you $5-$15. So I'm gonna try that.
>>11868559>"if you jump through enough hoops and you're extremely lucky you'll have the privilege of paying $150 for the seekers!">t.John HasbroI always avoided looking at 3P stuff because I always considered it overpriced, but the way things are going it might not make much difference anymore.
>>11868554I hate pre-orders becoming so dominant in this industry in the first place cuz i hate preorders and would only use them for years only when absolutely necessary and i hate how it makes figures come out way later and i hate to wait literal months to get something that i should be able to pay for and have shipped immediately to me, but it feels like preorders are even worse now cuz the toy industry has been aggressively trying to make them the norm for practically everything for whatever reason and it feels like every figure is being delayed more because of this push for preorders to be normalized, also preorders get sold out way faster and now theyre getting cancelled more so any benefit from them is moot now. Shit like the preorder push and other things like targets street date nazi-ism where they demand everything be set for some superfluous reset date and they put their own store mandated/non-manufacturer street dates on a bunch of items which are pointless and unnecessary street dates and it has made me not even enjoy this hobby anymore and is a big part of why im trying to tone down my collecting because everyone involved has made toy buying way more infuriating and rage inducing then it has any right to he and it just plain isn't fun anymore since its such a hassle to even get half of these figures anymore
>>11868390>they saved swolemosUnfathomably based

>>11868608They unironically already tested this out two decades ago when the first live action movie came out. The first “game” tie in to the movie was an app that wasn’t actually a game at all. It was just digital action figures. You could rotate them and make them do a few different actions by pressing a button and that was it. It was actually pretty clever at the time. Kind of like NFTs way before that was a thing. Also they were free. They will absolutely do something like this again in the future and charge for it. I can tell you exactly how they will do it too..start by giving a digital copy of your figure with purchase. Then eventually they will make a digital exclusive character. Then they will eventually axe physical figures and you will buy a .stl file that prints out off your government approved printer. Just like stores have offloaded the cashier’s job to us Hasbro will eventually offload the entire manufacturing process to us lmao. This idea will take decades but it will happen eventually
>>11868616Because they're clearly damaged.

Had scorcher for a while but didn't get the chance to open it. Nice little thing but really overpriced (same as the guy next to him) for how small the car mode is. Though I have give it to the design team on how neatly everything fit during transformation
>>11868601Yeah, nah. Takara can fuck off with that. The price gouging on Missing Link is worse than Hasbro at this point.
Big Convoy is the most underrated aotp figure. He’s probably the second best modern Beast Wars figure behind only Magmatron
>>11868656Nightmarer would make a cool Decepticon name.
These Target cancellations are exactly what happened last year when I tried to pre-order the Gamerverse shit. They should start popping up in stores later but it's so fucking stupid this keeps happening. With gas prices what they are too, making all these trips to targets is going to make less sense then just buying from a scalper on eBay.
First problem is caring about Starscream at all. Looks like my coronation Screamer has started yellowing? I know he wasn’t always this dirty tannish gray, was he?
Did I miss the upgraded version of MPG Ginrai? I heard it was happening and then never another peep about it. I bet it probably came and went already lol. Ohh no I hope that third party company that KO'd SS86 Thundercracker doesn't inevitably produce a Starscream repaint. They better not make a wide variety of seeker repaints that Hasbro won't bother touching. Please don't give us cheap alternatives to scalped and poorly distributed figures!
>>11868786>>11868843Takara would just as likely make Missing Link Skyfire, since their target audience has no nostalgia for the Valkyrie as a Transformer.
>>11868778Missing Link Devcon
>>11868439If your being retarded on purpose then congrats. The unification of the brand fucked Takara over. They cannot do shit now without Hadbros say so and it's them who decides Takaras budget on figures. They get told to use the same factory now which is why the products have declined in quality. You never had any of this shit with their galaxy force, super link, legends, United or mp line. All this decline in quality happened with the merger
>>11868778Missing link cybertronian bumblebee, wheeljack, tetra jets and jazz,
>>11868890Now that you brought this up I am surprised no 3rd party company decided to make masterpiece scale tooner figures of the cybertronian forms for those characters. With how many repeats and redoes of bumblebee and the seekers are out in that market you'd expect them to tackle those forms.
>>11868884Hasbro and Takara have been using the same factories and plastics for their figures since before the unification. Why would Takara lease out factories specifically to Hasbro and not use them themselves?

>>11868915>It's known >source:dude trust meYou know the same factory can also just use different plastic mixes for runs, right? They're not gonna lug around giant fucking molds to different factories or duplicate them just to produce two different decos. At most they'll have different runs.

>>11868701The later reissue has some minor changes to make the things smoother But I don't think they fixed the bigger flaw- the ridiculous wide legs/hip lateral gap. I rather sick of how they can't even prototyping MP figures right anymore and have to keep fixes what should have been worked out in the first place.
>>11868965I'll agree that the gap is too much, but the strong ratchets are necessary since SG had a cab with a ton of die cast, longer legs, and most of Godbomber on the torso.

>>11869141>I'm starting to regret entire toylines I've bought.NTA, but I know what you mean. Completing Bruticus and the seeker trio were the two things I was looking forward to the most on the TF front for the rest of this year. Now it just feels like any enjoyment to be had from all these toys is tainted. I know they're going to put out another Starscream eventually (probably with coronation gear) and that I'll probably be over it in a day or two, but it still feels like a kick in the teeth tonight.
>>11869164Why's toy collecting of all things have to be so complicated? It should be as simple as>give money>receive toy and maybe dopamine
>>11869179Artificial scarcity is something they told us they would do about a year ago. And yes, fear mongering will absolutely drive up sales, so it's working as intended.Honestly, the way they're selling figures lately almost feels like hostile marketing. They know their fans want something, and will make it as hard or annoying to get just so they can make slightly more money, and with thr current environment, I'm not sure that's a good idea, since eventually, this might piss off your hard-core fans.
>>11869184Hasbro Pulse: Where fans get fucked over first!
>>11869184The new seekers set feels like a huge fuxk you. Yeah, it's been years since the Siege Rainmakers, but bundling Sunstorm with them was a dick move, and then making the set MTO despite reusing a regular voyager 4 times. They couldn't something out there, like Sky Garry or Grandus?
>>11869187Minicon set is ridiculous too, half of those shouldve been released when Core Class was still a thing.
>>11869191It's even worse because it's an exclusive set, yet not only did they force a voyager recolor into it (one that's apparently not that popular going by comments), thr minicons share molds and teo end up almost being entirely painted over. It's maddening. >>11869603she's a lady!and sadly, trying to redo her doesn't work great.. the pegs and holes aren't all intercompatible, and too many parts have too few connectors or connectors that don't come apart..
I did the face/chest swap. I'm returning the MTMTE with the shit legs.
>>11869636The definitive Megs. Shame about the tank turret..
>>11869636stupid mobile photo
>>11869637Flipped the turret 180 degrees and plugged the cannon back into place. It does a lot to make it look and rotate less weirdly, but I dont really know what to do with the arms..
>>11869636you're returning it altered from how you bought it?
>>11869636What did you swap?
>>11869643Look into the 3rd party gun that has an extending barrel. I also remember seeing a kit that includes a rear turret extension like a blow out panel area or something.
>>11869636Scumbag.
>>11869651That's right, he's a piece of shit.>>11869652You swap the face and chest onto the battle damaged one to get a clean Megatron with grey legs and black crotch/hands.
>>11869668what does the donor Megs end up looking like?
>>11869657My issue is that there's not enough on the back end to balance it out. An extending barrel would make it look even more front heavy.
Missing link delta magnus worth it?
>>11869603She's a gal, actually. She's nice, and pretty much the only toy of the character to date (excluding the Build-A-Figure version). You can get her somewhat closer to her show appearance by swapping her bits around.
>>11869344>>11869395hasbro should just say they were supposed to be wiggers
>left shoulder rotation ratchet on armada prime only clicks softlyShould I be worried, and is it an easy fix?
>>11867454I just saw this on Ali for $22
>>11869704i always wanted to get a second one and try out the fanmode I saw that made her look WAY better, but... eh.. it's still not the character as I know her, and having an altmode of one teal and gold t-rex skeleton is already weird enough without making it two.>>11869706they did. one of them is literally Tom Kenny's wigger character from Mission Hill.
>>11867044>>11869281Lucky me, I've been wanting new molds of a few bots from all of these.
>>11869743shit, we can't even have wiggers anymore? damn shame
>>11869745it's not the pointsee they softened people up with "just be sensitive" and then it was "Follow the new rules" and eventually they settled on "you are always in trouble, no matter what you do" which is designed to make us afraid and bitter toward each other. And it works. It doesn't matter that the black guy voicing skids or mudflaps said he thought the voice he did was fine and not offensive. it wouldn't matter if literally every black stood up and said so. The people who decide right and wrong have full and complete anonymous control, with zero accountability.
>>11869749This is a totally self-inflicted problem on the part of Hasbro and any company struggling with the same issue. They can either finally learn the lesson that's been shoved in all of their faces time and time again or they can continue to lose money trying to satisfy people who will literally never buy their product.
>>11869757I find that much harder to believe than that they're being influenced from without, since they're so efficient at losing money, and for the entire rest of history (even during the last depression), businesses were all about MAKING money. Not saying necessarily some shadowy group (even if that's what I think), it's possibly just the hand of bureaucracy and there being too many levels of people in charge so that nobody is in charge, no correct decisions can be made since no individual holds the power to do anything but make mistakes.. but one way or another, it's an invisible, unfightable enemy. Nothing to do but simply ignore it and buy toys. Oh wait, that's being ruined.
>>11869419Wish they made sideswipe with the flame blades and rifle he uses in game instead of the same weapons from every release
>>11869759>it's possibly just the hand of bureaucracy and there being too many levels of people in charge so that nobody is in charge, no correct decisions can be made since no individual holds the power to do anything but make mistakes...Self-inflicted, yes.
>>11869786that's like saying schizophrenia is self-inflicted. i don't think these people had any choice in the matter. not individually.
>>11869788I see, so it's nobody's fault. I bet the board of directors loves hearing that.
>>11869793it is a sickness, and I don't think human hands can cure it

>>11869663>>11869668I did the same with Hot Rod too lol
>>11869877Following the same train of logic, nobody.

>>11869879of all the retarded answers I expected, that was not among them. Congratulations.
>>11869881What were you expecting, dipshit? You're sitting here arguing that nobody is responsible for their failure.
>>11869886yes and you are saying it's muh corporashunsso my question to you (do we need to get the bear out here?) is: then who was responsible for their successes?
>>11869897>and you are saying it's muh corporashunsI'm saying that Hasbro is responsible for Hasbro's failures. Who's responsible for their successes? Gee, probably Hasbro!
DNA is cooking... something
>>11869903then what use is it to mention? Why not specify the-thing-they're-doing, the practice at fault. why did one hasbro do it right and another didn't?
>>11869909Because literally all I'm arguing is that ascribing failures to an invisible force such as "the sickness" is fucking stupid. A complete rundown on everyone who ever worked for Hasbro whenever they were successful or unsuccessful is not necessary to demonstrate why refusing to hold human beings accountable at any level is irresponsible when the enitrety of human history in business has already proven it, but if you'd like to know more about WHY two plus two equals four you can try watching a few video essays from my favorite youtuber, randy the dog felcher.
>>11869924if you want attention, just ask!
>>11869906still the wrong head...
>>11869681>what does the donor Megs end up looking like? This
>>11869906... They made him fat?
>>11869950Hard to tell from that cropped picture, but I THINK they made him his own frame.

>>11869906Maybe they should release that Megatron kit first, they keep delaying it.
Looks like Nexus might just be jets
>Haslab leaks>Its not primus>Its Metroplex
>>11869988So, they're doing all the limbs, but not the frame itself?
>>11870001Either option is boring>>11869988If we're expected to use superions frame then at least both the legs have to be jets right? I don't even remember what the two limbs they showed already are.

>boxset>Almost the same price as the individual releases combined This kind of suck but then again >Legend Insecticons > SS Insecticons
>>11870032Taiwan?
>>11869941Honestly lowkey the battle damage one ends up looking better too. The blue legs goes well with the bluer face and scars. Looks like the VHS/DVD home video releases that had super saturated color grading.
>>11869906Holy shit I looked it up and it's absolutely nothing, the only worthwhile parts are the thigh fillers
>>11869950Pretty muchThey made him snazzier but I guess even DNA gave up on "saving" Nexus
>>11870086>DNA kit comes with shit nobody asked forMany such cases
>>11870086Shouldn't they be making a frame for him? Or are they self-aware that their QC sucks too much to make a combiner frame?
>>11870086
>>11870087It comes with less than I thought Certainly less than some were hoping for
>>11870098So no gap fillers for the enormous holes in the back of his legs?
>>11870086Gosh, Nexus is so disappointing, even his upgrade kits suck. No sense in polishing a turd I guess, but man...
>>11869924>so butt-blasted he had to pretend to be a neutral party to soothe himselfSo which retard was you?

>>11870132You just run them over, that's what you do
>>11870070I think my biggest hangup with the SS86 release is the cannon and skirt pieces are more brown than black.
>>11869602I got one in the mail the other day. As far as Hound goes, he seems alright. No special articulation or other goodies to speak of. I did notice that the blue painted surface of the windshield is a sperate piece, which is kind of neat. If you already have one of his mold mates, I wouldn't bother though. It's not impressive enough to own more than one variation.
I wish this guy was bigger. Pretty scrawny for a voyager. Other than size, everything else is a 10/10 for me.
>>11870014No frame is confirmed but they said they will look into possibly making one after fan backlash >>11870015We've gotten Skyfall which is the left leg but considering he is a repaint of Blast Off, that won't be the case and Breakaway which is the left arm but again considering he is a repaint of Air Raid, he will have to be a leg. You can tell how unplanned a combined Nexus is and how Hasbro is taking the lazy route. There was never a frame originally planned, all the limbs will have inaccurate alt modes and have inaccurate placements in combined mode. Even funnier considering Mark posted pic related and Landquake won't even be a tank.
>>11870235was mark smoking fent the whole time while he was designing nexus?
>>11870244no his ideas are just shit 99% of the time hence the OP imageI can’t wait for combiners to move into studio series so retards can stop pretending frames are good
This is kinda neat. Anyone have it? Or is it not out yet?
>>11870254I'm skeptical about it since it seems to be 3D printed.
>>11870039>Taiwan?YepThank God we don't have deal with all the store exclusives nonsense here. But people are complaining about the price increases- though not as bad as in the US, as the starting price of deluxe transformers even back during the CW/ TR era was already like 20 USD equivalent when americans still get their deluxe for around 10 to 13. Having jump from 20 to 25 is very different from 15 to 25+.
>>11870246Frames ARE good and the Studio Series combiners will have frames too, assuming the move to SS in the first place.
>>11870273I don't mind frames, I'd say they've worked for Menasor and Superion, Bruticus I would prefer without but I don't see how they will do frames once they get to combiners like Abominus. Like, what would a Commander Class Hun-Gurrr even include to turn into a frame? Releasing a $100 (probably 110 by the time we get to the Terrorcons) Hun-Gurrr even sounds insane.
>>11870235>they said they will look into possibly making one after fan backlashhuh, I kinda figured they'd just kill two birds with one stone and release a G2 silverbolt
>>11870277>Like, what would a Commander Class Hun-Gurrr even include to turn into a frame? They've talked about doing frames for Abominus and Predaking that turn into separate beasts.
Cyberworld Scoponok is definitely not the worst toy I’ve ever owned. I expected absolutely nothing so I was pleasantly surprised. He’s damn near the size of a Titan, particularly in scorpion mode.
The biggest buzzkill here is obviously going to be the lack of any articulation in his legs. Even a waist swivel would have gone a long way to help some slashing poses. For the $20 I spent on this I definitely feel I got my moneys worth here. Even at the $60 msrp im looking at Titans much differently now.
If they dumbed down the titans and made them $60 I would be all in. They key here is the $60 price point which will never happen because Hasbro hates our guts
My final thoughts on Scorpinok that I left out; it really bugs that they didn’t give him two claw hands. It wouldn’t have killed them to throw an extra in there. The tradeoff is that the stinger / sword is pretty bitchin. I love how it looks like a railgun in scorpion mode
Not a fan of amazon doing the scalping themself now.
>>11870273>and the Studio Series combiners will have frames too,Studio Series is about accuracy. Why would they have frames?
>>11870343Can you find the source of your claim? With the release of the new evasion mode Optimus we can be confident that Studio Series isn’t about anything in particular, especially not accuracy, engineering, deco or anything else at all for that matter because it looks like an upscaled deluxe from 15 years ago
>>11870301If they go that route, I think they'll get even more backlash but that does sound like something Hasbro would do.>>11870314Interesting, I wonder if they'd be original or a reference to something.
>>11869812New Bee hands alone fixed a lot wrong with himThe DNA kits are mostly minor like gap fillers, or fixes for clunky areas. The redesigned Long Haul legs are vastly an improvement tho
>>11869643
>>11869637>>11869643I really like the one 3P Cannon with an LEDFeels good and can retract if you want it to be a bit shorter
>>11869906Abso-fucking-lutely not. The last thing Nexus needs is to look like one of those overdesigned Chinese model kits.
>>11870343Because frames allow them to look more accurate as well as stable. This isn't even my opinion, Evan has said it several times and he's the one in charge of SS.
>>11870387>Because frames allow them to look more accuratemaybe if you’re a blind retard>Evan has said it several times and he's the one in charge of SS.And yet both the combiners he designed don’t use frames. It’s almost like frames aren’t actually good and he’s just saying that to get you to buy the newest slop
Takara posted bios for the Magna Regulus crew if anyone is curious.takaratomy.co.jp/products/tsparkofficial/adamas/am_t02ex/The most interesting part is that the jaguar is the team leader.
They already did the combiners that matter
>>11870402>The lion is a they/themuh oh
>>11870343Same reason they would give Prime Cliffjumper a nose?
the only combiner I ever had was wild king megatron and the combined legs suuuuuuck.
>>11870419Is it actually or just google translate
>>11870465jesus, google.. don't.. please don't do that.
>>11870451Cliffjumper isn’t in Studio Series and was made by the same designer who keeps trying to shill frames.
>>11870419>>11870465>>11870476I checked it out, at least in MY translation, it randomly says either 'it' or 'him' for all of them, usually both within a single bio. What I really love though is the names. Feels like some Roll Fizzlebeef shit.
>>11870419>>11870476>>11870489I see "it" but it seems like it's meant to consider it more like a drone than specifically not identifying as a gender. It's just basically a computer.
>>11870348>Can you find the source of your claim?? That's literally the point of the line
Studio Series became what it swore to destroy.
>>11870480Oh.Why do they make the boxes look so similar?
>>11870495It what now?
>>11870254I really don't get it, why not just make a new figure at that point? The only thing visible from the base Nexus is the ugly ass combiner head, it would actually be an improvement if it was entirely original.
I wonder if they've thought even once a bout making a Quintessa figure for Studio Series
>>11870086Man, all they did was make him chubbier and give him Strike Freedom wings. This is so low effort its not even funny.
I preordered Clear Blue Slammer and Clear Purple Six GunNow I want a clear red Cog, clear green Fastrack and clear white Brunt.
>>11870594>chubbierbigger chest. he's got a fuckin liefeld chest nowand the wings make his altmode way less stupid. plus he has a combiner mode head now.. or did he before? I don't know this guy that well.what exactly did you expect them to do?
>>11870614NTA, but if they aren’t turning him into Heatwave they didnt fix him and theres no point
>>11870493So, no
>>11870387>Would look the fucking same even if he had no leg bots>Doesn't properly work part swapping (Menasor Legs and Superion Legs are not the same size)>Half assed copy paste recolor frame shit>$100+ Commander with a single accessory (Or none in Onslaught's case)Muh accuracy tho
>>11870677>Doesn't properly work part swapping (Menasor Legs and Superion Legs are not the same size)Bruticus' legs are level with Superion so that's mostly just a Menasor problem. I imagine they'll take that it into account for future frames.
Speaking of the Combiners, how do you think the other frames will look like? Maybe Turtler/Halfshell's will be some kind of pirate ship?
>>11870235>>11870254So if Hasbro does decide to make a frame for Nexus, how would they sell it (let's assume that it will be retail and not MTO)?- Rerelease Nexus with a repainted Superion frame and sell it as a Commander?- Pack it together with one of the deluxe Nexus limbs and sell it as a Leader?- Just sell the frame on its own? (I think this is the most unlikely).
>>11870746I could see them doing an accessory pack like the Centurion one with some deluxe and the frame and sell it for $60 ~ $70 bucks. Could be a way to get Onslaughts gun amidst other missing accessories.>Rerelease Nexus with a repainted Superion frame and sell it as a Commander?>Pack it together with one of the deluxe Nexus limbs and sell it as a Leader? All the limbs already have been leaked with their respective price points, so I highly doubt they'll change their releases and everyone who wants a combined Nexus already owns Nexus, would be incredibly stupid for Hasbro to do that. Worse they'll release it in a box set and say fuck you to everyone who already owns Nexus and the limbs.Such an insane botched release for a character.
>>11870677>all that and I'll still pose him so he's thrusting his crotch in my faceget a load of this faggot
It's more over than it's ever been.
>>11870766You just don't get it bro, its like his japanese animes.
>>11870766It was entirely done for the meme, It's ironic shitpostingThere's a running meme where for SOME REASON people LOVE that dick forward, Ab crunch retarded not Katoki ass leg stance and it never looks good
>>11870746100% going to be a G2 Superion repaint because they're doing limbs to fit that frameI don't see them doing any new molds for Nexus, at a real stretch we could get onslaught and brawl repaints as Heatwave and Landquake
So I got 86 Blaster and Eject and Ramhorn via Perceptor (plus Ratbat for my 86 Soundwave), when and how the fuck are we getting 86 Rewind, especially now that Core Class is dead (not that I want another Lockjaw situation)? And while I'm at it, will we ever EVER see re-releases of Rumble and Frenzy?
>>11870339I was considering it but then the KO G1 Scorponok/Black Zarak came out around the same time. It kinda addresses some of your complaints, but also lacks that Cyberworld's 5mm modularity.
>>11870953Black Zarak is such a bitching design, way cooler than the base Scorponok.
I'm still mad about Target cancelling my Starscream you guys...
>>11870976Toy maybeRebirth/toy commercial Scorp is cool
Target restocked a handful of Onslaughts this morning and I managed to snag one. Once I build Bruticus I'm done collecting Transformers, this shit is too expensive.
>>11870976I never liked the face myself
>>11870989>$100 combiner torsoI'm good with the CW guys, fuuuuuck that.
>>11870953Shit, Overlord is way too cool. I might actually get one.
Would you say you've noticed a significant difference in quality between generations and studio series as of late? Trying to figure out exactly how oblivious I've been.
>>11870982>>11871005Scorponok's face is cool, but in a standard way, he has typical Transformers features. Black Zarak's face is unique, he stands out. Kind of like Thundering, there's something uniquely oni-ish about it.

>>11870419Japan has like two dozen pronouns, buddy.
>>11870419It seems more like it’s a sparkless construct that the others use to combine
>>11870930I think our next best chance is with a comic Blaster. Rewind didn’t appear in Marvel G1 so it would be an opportunity to just do him in cartoon colours.
>>11871046My brain can't comprehend this because heat/poor sleepI just think it was funny to mock the trope because it looks so retarded. I have barely touched AotP Superion because CW is still fun to me
>>11870989Onslaught is good for a single aspect and that's because he's the only Combiner Commander so far that can actually DO something with his trailerGiving him an Exo Walker or Arms to hang off his shoulders is a cool ass aspect
>>11871108Its a shame, I don't really want a 2nd Blaster but you are probably right.
>>11871117Yet he still has no gun to call his own
>>11870325>He’s damn near the size of a Titan, particularly in scorpion mode. You're really underestimating how big titans can be. Cyberverse Scorponok is barely taller than the G1 toy, and that one doesn't reach Titan Scorponok's waist. The titan's scorpion mode is an absolute beast too.
>>11871139
>>11871139The cry of a poorfag. "No really the cheap slop is just as good as the expensive stuff! I'm having a lot of fun!"

>>11871163Man, I'd probably buy Auto-Devy just for the memes.
>>11871153I avoid titans because they're too bigI have plenty of spending money but I guess I'm still a poorfag by virtue of living in an apartment with no space to put stuff
>>11871163Who would Scavenger, Hook and Bonecrusher be retooled into though?
>>11871171I mostly just collect G1 so the only Titan sized TF I have is the Encore Fort Max, I really want to pick up the upcoming Gigastorm but I've so many colossal toys at this point (from other toylines) that I have no idea where I'd put him if I did
>>11871171I wish I had more space too, my only titan is T30 Metroplex and he dominates any room he's in.
>>11871153This would work if Titans had something other than being big, I have never seen one that's more impressive or fun to handle than a Commander
>>11871175Probably the RID build team. Scavenger and Hook even have the same removable vehicle parts as Grimlock and Hightower.
>>11871153Im the anon your insult was directed at, and I guarantee my transformers collection is bigger than yours. I’d bet my entire collection on it. Mine takes up an entire room of my house, does yours?

I think it's kind of a missed opportunity that the Hot Wheels crossover didn't just do the lazy thing and jam popular characters into pre-existing vehicle molds. Like it was the one instance where there was a LOT of potential. Picrel would have gone hard as fuck as Prowl.
>>11871437that's really more of an oldsmobile crossover. and they're dead.
What other OCs do you think we'll get from Adamas Machina after the police combiner Magna Regulus from Predaking? Feels like all Roddy & Star/Victory Saber will get are Nemesis/Black decos.
Begging daily for a New Legends Splendid Yellow Convoy with remolded thighs.
>>11871491I just bought her so the odds are up
>>11871491Unironically speaking, would they unleash a HasLab mold onto the universe after the time has passed?
>>11871491>remolded thighshuh?
>>11871508I don't see why not. Its not like the molds disintegrate after the haslab campaign, after all. May as well come more use out of them if they can.
>>11871481I think OCs will be an exception rather than the rule. Predaking is one of the few G1 characters without any kind of redeco so they had to get creative.Maybe they'll make a Call of the Primitives Abominus to go with Predaking, then they could make an Autobot version since Abominus doesn't have any reuses either.
>>11871508>>11871516Maybe not with Unicron, but I could definitely see them doing slightly cheaper MTOs with the Star Saber and Deathsaurus molds, similar to how they did the Arctic HISS MTO out of the HISS HasLab mold
>>11871508>>11871516We at least know that Evan, and maybe by extension Hasbro, knows that there's demand for a Splendid Convoy releaseIt'd probably be prohibitively exclusive and expensive but it's a non-zero chance
>>11871536I remember joking once that HasTak could be really sly and just make a Core/Deluxe Yellow Splendid since she’s based on the Universe Optimus, whose original toy is the Spychanger mold, not the larger Supreme Class one
I could see Splendid happening. The only reason why it was a Haslab was because they didnt think Magnus would sell on its own, right? So they put them together? Maybe a pulse exclusive or something.
Its a shame such a fun toy was locked behind a group funded dealy.
>>11871550I wish they released just Optimus and his trailer as commander class
>>11871563I mean, takara has their own line right now, so they might release it themselves.
>>11871590Would cause too much controversy from Japanese fans who ordered it. It would be funny if they made their own Gigatron though.
Is the QC on Armada Sideways as terrible as the Amazon warning suggests?
>>11871601What QC issues? The joints are super tight on mine, except for the two 5mm ports on the back holding the bike wheels. It's more of a design issue since they interfere with the transformation somewhat and get dislodged.
Is Starscream going to be one of the rarest toys of all time?
>>11871517Abominus does technically have a built in repaint with Goradora thanks to Prime Beast Hunters/Go.
>>11871601? I just got my Sideways and he is nice and tight (no pun intended)
>>11871241Just the size already makes them really impressive, and the ones with base modes are way more fun than many commanders. Not everything is limited to "possable robot that transforms", sometimes just having a big ass toy that towers over the rest and can act as a base for other figures is that ns of fun. Also I guess I'm in the minority but I love transforming my titans. It's really not that much of a hassle to me.
>>11871667>that ns of fun.*Tons of fun
>>11871601Mine is pretty good. I think the only thing that bothers me is the arms getting undone from their peg to the chest when you move the arms, made me drop my dark star saber once, thankfully the fall didnt break the minicons or anything aside from a tiny scratch but like, aside from that and the ugly incorrect feet, he's pretty cool.I'd recommend getting those custom heads off of aliexpress if you get him by the way, while smaller than I'd have liked they look great
>>11871491>>11871516>>11871536Hasbro's already started reusing Haslab molds for other toylines, like the Arctic HISS tank. Evan's talked about doing Yellow Convoy and the Rescue Force, but it'll take until a few years after the originals released.
>>11871153>how DARE you not spend more moneyWell golly Hasbro, I didn't know you felt so strongly about it.
>>11871137Easily the worst aspect. So dogshit of Hasbro
>>11871637No. Just yesterday I saw a photo on Facebook of a Target that has like 20 of them on the shelf. They’re probably going to show up in droves.
>>11871845I can't wait to drive two hours over to the next state that actually has Target. Store exclusives are cancer.
>>11871852It isn't a national chain?
>>11871655Neat. If New Legends lasts for a few more years, I could see the inevitable Abominus getting this deco.
>>11871854The nearest one I know of is a two hour drive away, and in the next state over. This practice is anti-consumer and should be abolished.
>>11871857there's also TLK Infernocus as well if you want to. that Prime Beast Hunters mold really was the mold that kept on giving.
>>11871864So what is it like where you live? A small place with long deserts between towns, or a densely populated place that simply has different store brands? In any case, it seems very difficult to enforce a ban on retailer exclusives. Different stores already sell different products and are under no obligation to carry certain ones.
>>11871871>A small place with long deserts between townsReplace desert with forest and yeah pretty much.I don't see how the practice of making certain products exclusive to the retailer benefits anybody but that retailer, isn't the incentive to make people shop at one store over another?
>>11871873NTA but yes it is simply a ploy to get people to shop there. With exclusives they hope you will go in for the exclusive thing and then see other things you migbt want as well so you end up spending more at their store than you would elsewhere
studio series chinscream is going to be target exclusive
>>11871663>(no pun intended)How is that even a pun??
So we finally have a review of a pre production sample of the DNA 86 Megatron kit:-Only part that needs to come off for transformation is the new backskirt. It can still store in the vehicle mode but it's a bit dissapointing.-Apparently, they're now adding the purple gun to the kit. I don't remember them posting that anywhere until that sample dropped.-New sword can't store on the toy anymore, but can be split into parts, meaning you won't risk damaging the hand like with the original.-The helmet doesn't require you to take apart the head, just split the helmet, and tab it over the head.

The whole 40th anniversary campaign for the movie is absolute lunacy>base the whole thing around Prime dying>do nothing for the actual anniversary date of the movie, no reveal of the upcoming Dead Prime figure>no Unicron figure the year of the movie>Target Starscream debacle

>>11872235This, some ancillary character sure I guess, but fucking Starscream? That's like making Megatron a Meijer exclusive.
>>11871437I think the problem is hot wheels Mattel has all these licenses with real world car companies. If you want to see good vehicles, they have to make the trademark work. Trust me I would love an olds Transformers as much as the next guy, but that comes down to GM giving Hasbro the license

>>11872392>Well there's Unicron Acolyte coming but(t) he's ass.I still can't get over that. They had the perfect mold with Liege Maximo; it was already 90% there. Instead they picked the boxiest, least-fitting mold they had on-hand to make it from. Who the hell thought that the square slab that is Megatronus would be a good match for the organic curves and beetle-like shape of the original toy?
>>11871437>Picrel would have gone hard as fuck as Prowl. Why do these "people" enjoy making things less creative and interesting
>>11872147If they do rerelease the movie can already see what's coming.>End credits will be: Somehow Optimus survived. Thus retroactively ruining the entire movie>This will lead to the promo of more shitty G1slop.>Retards will still consoom. Will just further cement the fact that nobody actually cares about this franchise anymore to the point they're perfectly happy to milk and rape the legacy of the franchise to no end.
>>11872408This anon is a time traveller from six weeks in the future
>>11872408We already know Optimus comes back though
>>11872408> Somehow Optimus survived.Do you even know G1?
>>11872422Optimus doesn't come back until like way later in the cartoon but in the movie, Optimus' death was supposed to lead to passing the torch to Rodimus even if he may not have been and bringing him back defeats the whole point of the movie and arguably season 3.(I'm aware he came back at the end of season 3 and it was stupid there too.)This cover basically exemplifies everything that's wrong with this entire anniversary
>>11872399>Who the hell thought that the square slab that is Megatronus would be a good match for the organic curves and beetle-like shape of the original toy?The design is based on the Marvel Acolytes, who were very boxy, at least around the torso. The Cybertron toy just loosely inspired the alt mode since the Acolytes had none.
Idk why they're acting like him dying is a big deal anymore, surely they arent this out of touch
>>11872408>>11872426There have been versions of the movie since the 80s with added narration at the very end saying that Optimus will return, so nothing new.
>>11872426We have no way of knowing when that scene is setTo me it looks like it’s in space, which could mean the zodiac will make an appearance
>>11872431i don't see that version used anymore on the newer releases of the film.
>>11872426Headmasters got it right at least by killing him off again.
>>11872426I wasn't around to see it happen, but growing up in the Marvel (US) comic I treated the changing roster of leaders as something completely normal so once I finally got around to watching the cartoon, I was pretty non-plussed by Optimus' death so I actually agree with you here, bringing him back wasted Rodimus' whole character arc.I am glad he got to see more action in the UK comics, but it was obviously a different continuity so not quite the same thing.
>>11871437>>11872337There's really no reason to do a Hot wheels collab of the licensed Hot Wheels, Hasbro could just deal with the manufacturer themselves. Maybe Mattel could help negotiate with harder to deal with companies, but even then it's sort of pointless. The appeal of the collab is making the Hot Wheels original designs transformable, and there's probably hundreds out there that have been in rotation for decades.
>>11872429Casual Xoomers, who have a surprising amount of buying power in this franchise, still are upset about it. It's very bizarre but you'll see 45-55 year olds who will drop hundreds a month on mainline stuff or 3P, haven't really watched anything past G1, sitll have the same level of anger over Optimus dying or Hot Rod as they did as 10 year olds way back then.

>>11872408>>11872426Judging by the look of the cover and hasbro's actions the past year, I guarantee they'll somehow have used AI slop in this and it's some retarded asspull to possibly push MORE G1 shit and tie it into some ass new project they're working on

>>11872737Well, broadly speaking, unless you wanna get a bit weird with it you're going to be collecting either legends or masterpiece from now on
>>11872736>now $10 more than it was in Siege and the quality has not increased
>>11872751I guess it's just time to let go of the time when you could get a new cool transformer for >$15 and be satisfied with the purchase. I don't like it but it's true, it'll never be like that again.
do you think Hasbro is trying to intentionally destroy their toy lines so they can transition to solely being an IP farm once they establish themselves in Massachusetts?
>>11872737It is intimidating to learn new companies, and what their specific niche in the market is. I'll give you some off the top of my head:>NewageMostly legend sale G1. Lots of deco varieties and they sometimes include new tooling for more obscure, non G1 characters.>Magic SquareAlso mostly legends scale, although they've been dabbling in MP scale the last few years. They definitely skew towards the toon accuracy side of design.>Fans HobbyVery stylized of mostly G1 designs at an MP scale, but they have started to get into the Unicron Trilogy stuff as well.>Mastermind Creations/Ocular MaxLongtime players in the space. The MMC part of the brand is skewed more towards a CHUG scale, although they can be pretty big. Huge emphasis on IDW comic designs. The OM side of the house is closer to MP scale, but they have some oddities in there like cassette bots the size of regular audio tapes rather than the micro ones like we're used to.>DX9Used to do their own takes on characters, but have transitioned into G1 toon accuracy. Mostly MP scale, but they have started putting out some legends stuff.>Keith's Fantasy Club/X-TransbotsAvoidIf you're genuinely interested in getting into 3P, start with something small like a Newage or Magic Square legends figure. They're small, don't break the bank, and I think are a good intro to what you can expect from 3P stuff in general.

>>11872924wasn't that more of a texture effect on his model? his actual colors stayed the same. to do a repaint would be to do like oldtimey toys and change it to neon or metallic or something so you can PRETEND it's that effect.
>>11872924>Shame they never made Terrorsaur so we could get his glowing red supercharged recolor, too.Hopefully they will make Terrorsaur after Ratrap. Though when he got powered up he got a bit bigger and had a continual energy flow/glow around so not sure how they'd do the latter.
>>11872930once again my knowledge of Terrorsaur's size is hella wrong. I didn't notice the increase.man I loved when he would make cannons out of his trapezius modules. and I never noticed before how his pauldrons randomly have scale detail that really has no reason to be there.
>>11872925>to do a repaint would be to do like oldtimey toys and change it to neon or metallic or something so you can PRETEND it's that effect.Technically, that's what the idea behind Packrat and Fractyl was - they were made with glittery plastic because they both had the same "Energeon Armor" that Terrorsaur did, except it was apparently permanent.
>>11872933ohhh I was wondering what that meant, but now that you show me the illustrations, yeah. that's clearly what they were going for.and considering they didn't have digital art tools back then, they did a serviceable job. This also makes me way more okay with weird color schemes.
>>11872935If I remember the little bios that came with that, Fractyl apparently figured out how to reverse-engineer what happened to Terrorsaur and created a substance called Furmanite (ha ha) that would do the same thing - but when he tested it on himself, the effects turned out to be permanent. Before he could bring it to Megatron, Packrat snuck in and stole the only other prototype, which he used on himself, resulting in both of them getting superpowers. Fractyl's data was destroyed in the struggle between the two, hence why no one else on either side geot superpowers.
>>11872844tanks that looked like that had to worry about artillery more than anything their armour was paper thing and really only stopped standard bullets, but not much elsethey also had a habit of gassing their crews due to poor ventilation because the engines were in the middle of the vehicle with everyone posted along the sides
