Ive been buying Optimus Primals.
>>11930627the red on the forearms was always really weird to me. It should've been a gradient if possible. Love those early Universe energon scar effects though
>>11930634seems weird to have him named Optimus Primal in general, but it's interesting. looks almost like a prototype
>>11930617inorite. it's just little things, weird limb placements, weird everything
>>11930634yeah, between that and the war paint and the yellow shit on his face, he's just.... weird. but you know, it's a good mold, I like seeing recolors. if I had one, I'd definitely just try to fix the colors to a bit more natchy, like I did with Sandstorm
>>11930638How so? He's basically meant to be a post-Beast Machines Primal. Beast Wars characters changed colors often and Primal more than anyone. All of his forms have totally different decos.
>”Everyone loves DJW and animated” Animated” LMAO! Not even inside this tiny echo chamber let alone the real world. Animated is easily the ugliest, gayest, shittiest Transformers has ever been. Only Beast Machines gives Animated a run for its money in awful designs and only IDW outdid its faggotry.
>>11930640A lot of that going on in JP mecha at the time. A lot of BM's toyline had concepts done by anime mecha designers and that post-Eva "lets get weird" attitude is there. Nightviper is designed by the same person who did the super popular Gundam Astray, which is kinda bizarre to me
>>11930647Animated and Beast Machines at least feel like intentional styles. Cyberverse and to an extent Earthspark are the worst to me because they don't even feel like what the style should be, but someone's misinterpretation of better drawn designs. Animated and BM were both made by people who know how to draw, even if the designs are weird or ugly. Cyberverse and Earthspark are like, people who can't grasp mecha.
>>11930649>people who can't grasp mecha. You're in a Transformers thread, you're just repeating yourself.
SS86 Screamer’s such a nice figure, but it’s just my luck the only one of him I’ve ever been able to find has some stress on one of the pins by his wing. I think it was from some excess plastic that was there that fell out after I poked at it, but I’m worried this’ll eventually be an issue later on…
>>11930648Disagree. JP mecha has always been amazing and looked cool, until pretty recently, where it's started to look kinda goony and overproduced. kinda like your example here, actually. that's newer, isn't it?even as weird as Eva was, they still had style. everything 'agreed' with everything. BM looks more like... the studio that did Men in Black / the Godzilla 98 movie tv series. Way more abstract biology.
>>11930649this guy gets it.we're fucked.
>>11930656Anon that design is over 20 years old now. I would say it’s more polished than Beast Machines designs, sure, but the point is the weird proportions sort of start from that.
>>11930627Insane that they never put out the Universe deco with the Kingdom mold.
I have applied the DNA Kit and Toyhax decals and can't think of any other improvements to do so my Vector Prime is finished to meI THINK Micronus may be my next one but I need to double check over the kits I might have wanted for him
>>11930669That would require them to remember Universe 1 existed
>>11930666Hmm, maybe. This one here is a much better example, with his shoulders attached so high and his head so buried into his shoulders. the only thing the previous one was guilty of is the arms being kinda long, which is fine if you do it right. You would be hardpressed to find me examples that do the kinds of things BM was doing, with the pelvis hanging way down below the hips, legs having extra joints that don't make sense, and attachment points seeming about as random as can be. And that's before getting into the beast modes, which.. robot animals are their own snarl. even fewer can do them well.
>>11930669it's such a meh mold. it did a few things very right (arm guns yay!), but a couple perplexingly wrong (why do his toes bend DOWN, but can't swivel around to form the little elephant toes he's supposed to have in robot mode as his heels?)and a few others sorta half right, but still off (nice to have a belly cover, and clever job tucking it away in robot mode, but you made it a FURRY belly cover, which is a different kind of gorilla entirely)
>>11930681also: human toes. very strange.
I wasn't all that bothered with Onslaught not including a weapon, but I decided to search for a gun for him on a whim. Surprisingly enough I immediately found what I consider the most perfect one for him on sale. I wasn't expecting to like how it looks with it as much as I do, it's amazing what a single piece of plastic can do for a figure. It just looks so RIGHT now.
>>11930685It really does hurt his presence but I ended up liking him a lot more than I thoughtHe definitely needed better hands and Million $ problem solver, Paint the insides of the Combiner Frame Arms or just color them in general so it'd color match Vortex and Blast offThey go face to face and aren't visible in Trailer mode ANYWAYS so at worst you would have one side facing outward under the Trailer that's the default Grey/Silver
>>11930647you sound like a big baby
>>11930696somehow I'm not surprised you are constantly surrounded by the cries of children in pain
>>11930649Nah, that’s bullshitAlso who’s excited for mad max wildwheel
>>11930707Isn't that the ai slop convention? Can't be excited for something that probably isn't even real.
>>11930612I hate that they couldn't give this guy a trailer with the right length
>>11930707He's entirely right tho hey Wildwheel was actually a cool design that we got a fucking gimmick shit toy ofMMC is really great too so hoping this maybe spins into some others. Like a RID 2015 Strongarm or Bee
>>11930656I chuckled when I saw a post on twitter once by a guy in Japan who remarked something like "man, while we had the slick stylish anime like Victory and Zone, Americans had robots that looked like old men in cosplay!"
>>11930713Actual brainrot retardation
>>11930723hahahaha, can't disagree.I wish I could befriend more jappinies.
>>11930725This is how they're upselling their convention so I assumed it was just for sloppers.
>>11930729right because they should have just paid someone to make this.. i'm sure they have 800 dollars just lying around.
>>11930731if they can't manage to have a human make them some half-decent promotional material then why should they be trusted to run a convention?
>>11930718>MMC is really great too so hoping this maybe spins into some others. It's confirmed that Wildwheel is at least a retool of something else
>>11930735because it's prohibitlvely expensive.couple hundred years ago, you'd be calling movable type a heresy because you don't have to pay a scribe to hand-calligraph each letter.look, I'm an artist, and a voiceover guy, and it's frustrating that just as I got good, I got replaced by machines. But all that proves is that I was never really 'in demand.' they just wanted cheap, throwaway garbage, not real products. Because the majority of this kinda thing is garbage. this is a promotional ad, it's going to be tossed after the con happens.
>>11930739>couple hundred years ago, you'd be calling movable type a heresy because you don't have to pay a scribe to hand-calligraph each letter.saaaar...
>>11930731>right because they should have just paid someone to make thisYes, I'm glad you agree.
>>11930731>i'm sure they have 800 dollars just lying around. It doesn't cost 800 bucks to make a decent promo image. And they've had no problem making real promos for every convention in the past, so cost definitely isn't an issue here. On top of that, if you even find yourself complaining about cost in order to justify this, you're basically giving a tacit admission that this sort of AI slop sucks horrendously bad, because if it really was all that great, you'd be able to brag about its supposed awesomeness instead of coming up with excuses for its existence.
>>11930729That is pretty fucking dogshit. Christ that's cringeI guarantee they got dunked and blown out on socials and still ran it
>>11930747they don't want a decent promo image, they want an 800 dollar one.
>>11930685Which gun is that? I ordered the Toyhax one since I had a discount I could use for it. Still waiting for it. The longer I dwelled on it, the more inexcuseable it was for him not to have what is seriously like 2 square inches of plastic included in the full release.>>11930627Very nice, Got any others? I really wanna like the Universe deco but idk it doesn't do it for me. I guess works as an Apelinq for me maybe. Anyways the original Beast Wars toy is awesome, guy was absolutely packed with play features.
>retards whining about being replaced by AIYou are obsolete and deserve to be replaced by a machine.
>>11930729>Organic tongue >No arms They didn't even bother to get a decent AI generated picture.
>>11930680you're pretty dented if you can't recognize a kawamori design
>>11930754huh, now that you mention it, those are problems.>>11930755my anime tastes are almost entirely 70s to the very early 2000s, with a few very recent ones, but almost nothing from 2006-ish through 2018ish.
>>11930751>Which gun is that?Onslaught's.
>>11930737>>11930707Okay wait a minute
>LONG-RANGE TARGET ACQUIRED; MATRIX CANNON: ENGAGED
>>11930729That is fucking rancid
>>11930751>Which gun is that? His very own, pic related. Found a loose one and after haggling got it for ten euros shipping included. Too much for a piece of plastic, but not bad for 40 years old vintage plastic I guess. And I know it's silly, but I can't help but smile when I think I reunited this old weapon that lost his owner decades ago with the newest version of that very same dude that never had his own weapon. And they look perfect together to boot, like they were always part of a set.
>>11930773Oh wow the original G1 gun fits his hand? Shit I shoulda just gotten one of those. Oh well. If I had, I'd end up making a G1 Bruticus. Which isn't a bad idea since I've got AoTP Bruticus and a 99% complete G2 Bruticus (I'm missing Onsloughts little yellow chest shield and can't find one anywhere)
>>11930638Did you read the comics that go along with it? Unicron rebuilt everyone and they have energon radiation (the silver stuff on robot modes face) It kills me how literally no one in America/China/Jaoan ever made a new version of this color scheme.
>>11930731they could've easily made an agreement with some artist in the area to pay them a more modest cost while including tickets to the con and whatever perks to make it worthwhile. Id be honest, If a con offered to comp me a weekend pass plus cover my lunch at the con and a little cash on the side to do some art, i'd take it.
>>11930779Where can I find these comics? I always wondered about the odd color schemes.
>>11930424Ruination repaint incoming? It just fits in Legends logic to me somehow. Scourge was on the same sub faction thing as him in RiD and they're emphasizing combiners.
>>11930739we still have calligraphers, anon.
>>11930783Yo I did NOT know about this weapon config, does this work? I feel like the G1 toys had all kinds of odd undocumented play features and configurations. Then again while I grew up with G1 toys, it was not during G1s time.
>>11930751I have the 2020's reissue boxed, but I have the original Primal that should get here tomorrow. and i found a bootleg prime that is black and white.
>>11930648Beast Machines concept art is amazing to me. This reminds me the most of a Japanese mecha.
>>11930737> somethingAnon, it’s obviously Lockdown
>>11930761Yeah, that wasn’t in question, it’s why I said Mad Max>>11930718He just needs a Poncho instead of a cape
>>11930775>Oh wow the original G1 gun fits his hand?Yeah, I checked before buying it, a good bunch of G1 weapons used 5mm ports, Scramble City combiners included. Nonetheless it was a tad too tight of a fit so I slightly sanded it.Something cool that I didn't expect is that it's big enough to look good in Bruticus hands too.
>>11930723Yeah, but old war vet dudes is exactly why it’s appealing
>>11930647Earthspark says hi and Nightshade's pronouns are they/them.
>>11930723To be fair the follow up was something like “ it’s quite charming in a way, isn’t it?”
>>11930647Animated was decent story wise.Derrick J. Wyatt could not design characters to save his li--um...get out of a wet paper bag.
>>11930781can you do something that good? I mean aside from the massive errors I'm now realizing are in it>>11930784and yet you worry
Feels great to finally have leader-1 from that Red Alert box set to combine with Megatron.
>>11930788Would enjoy pics of that bootleg, i'm curious now>>11930790yeah, see? that is way cooler. that's from BM? It looks more Transtech-ish. I mean that's an autobot symbol...
>>11930802I wanted those minicons but I don't care enough about Red Alert to get him again in uglier colors so I had to pass.
>>11930803Its definitively Beast Machines. I dont know the context but I'm trying to find it. I think its Thrust. Here's another really Japanese one I found bit it looks really early.
>>11930805fascinating.
>>11930788I recommend spending the like $20 on getting Deluxe BM Primal, you won't regret it. Makes for a fun lil desk toy. Transmetal Primal too of course, hes really fun.
>>11930806https://iachronicle.neocities.org/pages/bm/bmconceptmight as well just post the link
>>11930809I love Beast Machines but man what the fuck were they thinking here lol
>>11930811Its cheetors face as a plant. I have no fucking idea man.
>>11930811We were eating rotisserie chicken. Can you just buy the toys, please?
>>11930801Yes, I can.
>>11930822that's fuckin awesome, anon. I hope you get hired.
>>11930801>and yet you worrywhy are you fucking stupid that you straight up flipped on your own argument that this is the future and these older methods are obsolete and have been passed aside due to technological advances. cant even stick to your own argument.
>>11930824How do you figure?
>Still waiting for Hasbro to ship my minicons>Set is now out of stock, so I'm fucked if it has any issuesI really hate exclusives.
Is there a reason we don't get a third party set with random transformer weapons? If feels like this should be easier than upgrade kits. Just make them 5mm compatible and they'd sell.
>>11930828my ratchet and minicons shipped out a few days ago. hope you get yours
>>11930803the one i found needs some work so it's kind of an experiment but heres the one i got and where I think it came from.
>>11930731Biggest loser in this thread
>>11930831It's been stuck on label created for days. It's really pissing me off.
>>11930647The only reason we didn't get a fourth season is because Hasbro wanted to focus on their new network channel and the Prime series since that was closer to the movie's continuity which were successful.
While doing some cleaning, I found my Spoiler Set Siege Ultra Magnus. Decided to free the White Prime inside of it for a spell.
>someone in my town found a $20 Scorponok at Ross today after I went there yesterday and there wasn't anything Okay, now I'm pissed
>>11930844region?
>>11930844Ouch. It's best to ignore Ross and just check when you can. Don't count on it for anything rare. Hell, I recently bought a slightly cheaper Armada Nemesis because I knew I'd never see one at Ross.
>>11930627I got this guy without the gorilla face for $3 at a thrift shop years ago, I always meant to fix him up but never got around to sourcing parts.
>>11930844Damn, now that's a good deal.
I found two armada nemesis primes at ross, used up all my luck I don't think i'll find a normal priced Scorponok
>>11930847Tennessee >>11930850I usually hit them up once or twice a week, but they've been so flush with product lately you've about got to go every day
>>11930786>the G1 toys had all kinds of odd undocumented play features and configurationsThe combining guns were a retool added for CR.
Also found my OG Windblade plus Thrilling 30 Armada Starscream
>>11930858>>11930857I don't even bother, scalpers swarm Ross all day. One of the few times I went, a guy filled 8 shopping carts with toys, and actually got in the way of shoppers so they wouldn't grab anything in the toy section. The store didn't care either. It's the only time I've seen something like this and it was disgusting. The other times also had scalpers, but they toy section was barely stocked at that time. They aren't close either, so it's not worth it.
Anyone know if it would be cheaper to buy the mini cons from the Super Form Red Alert separately via eBay or would it just be cheaper to get them/Super Form Red Alert for $80?
>>11930832ohhh fascinating. yeah it looks like they tried to just get the color-count down. Definite bootleg tactics.. HIlarious to see an Ultra on a fucking bubble card, too.
>>11930802Hasbro are cowards for not giving us generations Mightly Robot and Mighty Vehicle.
>>11930862Buy the pack and just sell the red alert to make back some money
>>11930859And then they shortened it for the RID release, and Encore Onslaught ended up using that mold.
>>11930860I dislike that Windblade but T30 Starscream is great.
>>11930862The pack will always be cheaper. Even on the reveal, most sites had people posting they'd off load Red Alert, and keep the minicons. So far, I've never seen the modern minicons cheaper on Ebay. You could wait, but there's no guarantee you'll find it cheap or that you'll find it.
Think I'm just lucky since I've never seen a scalper at ross just other toy collectors
>>11930831Hope you get yours soon.
>>11930863Idk why but Bootlegs are so interesting to me, so i felt like i had to have it. I'll post more when it comes in.
>>11930852best of luck. i'm trying to find accessories that aren't wildly expensive. I may have to resort to 3d printing them.
>>11930876they really are. I used to enjoy Phelous's bootleg reviews a lot, and I still kinda do. Just seen a lot of em.
>>11930707>Nah, that’s bullshitI mean I can see people wanting new, high quality Beast Machines or Animated toys.I can never imagine anyone wanting an MP cyberverse figure, even kids who grew up with it.
Yea we manipulativeWe straight up evil
>>11930731It's just kinda lame because TF conventions have always had a big fanart culture since the beginning. I will guarantee you there's TF fanartists out there who would make you a flyer for a few toys. It wouldn't be as cheap as free, but it promotes community, the artist can be a personality fans might want to support or meet like how Dan Khanna and Don Figueroa came up in the fandom, and it's just nicer overall. This is just 2002 era photoshop of a drawing of Cryotek's beastmode in a photo of Chicago, but it's charming and memorable. The jankiness that human confidence provides gives it it's own charm. The TFCon Orlando poster is just kinda forgettable,Grimlock isn't really on model to any design and looks like a generic robot t.rex, the Decepticons he's damaging are a mess. The rendering is really nice, but it's missing something. that sort of passion for the subject that ensouls the best art.
>>11930908>I can never imagine anyone wanting an MP cyberverse figureI know right, who would want this?
>>11930912Certainly not me...
>>11930811The flower in particular is a nightmare sequence Primal has, IIRC.>>11930790Knowing what Archer's said, it's really clear Hasbro was chomping at the big to bring the Autobot/Decepticon factions back.
>>11930913No one could possibly like cyberverse designs
>>11930911oh true, I would prefer that, too. it's just obviously not what THEY want. and I gotta say, most conventions do just that, and they tend to look... like they should have been pickier.
>>11930912>>11930913>>11930915My man i'm gonna be realWhy? Like I really like Studio 01's stuff but where the fuck is the properly Cybertron series colored Primus?Who asked for THIS? Over numerous other things
>>11930912I was ready to eat crow, then I looked at Cyberverse Snarl and see it looks nothing like it proportionally for the better. It looks cool here, but it's because it specifically avoids the Cyberverse style
>>11930926>>11930912And then I stumbled on this. Remember how I said that cyberverse felt like worse drawn versions of better designs? Well turns out it's kinda true, given this was concept art for it. I would say this is indeed pretty cool.
>>11930911>>11930919for posterity's sake, here's the image I forgot. Would've been for Botcon 2003 before it was renamed.
>>11930921>Who asked for THIS?Me
>>11930928Flirting>>11930926Sexual Harassment
Remake one day
>>11930930that is pretty cool
>>11930750And instead, they ended up with AI slop far worse than a promo image that was merely decent.
>>11930930This is honestly great. Probably took half an hour or less and has tons of soul.
Do I love the Optimus to wanna buy (four) more of him?I AM really wanting the Magnus next tho
>>11930647All transformers is shit so who cares?
>>11930731Looking at the website, a premium weekend pass is $150. $800 is like, six people. So, yes. They would have that lying around, easily.
They actually made him a lot better
>>11930729That wasn't even tfcon themselves, that was just some dealer who had some tables there.
>>11930972I’ve got sentinel and he’s really good
>>11930991a more realistic anti-aircraft turret for Killbison would go a long way too, his alt is shite
>>11930718>He's entirely right tho hey Wildwheel was actually a cool designHe's not even the best of his archetype. Without the hat, gun and poncho he would literally just be another guy. His vehicle mode is the most generic cybertronian car ever, but you probably wouldn't know that because he doesn't even have fucking wheels or anything. It's a testament to how even when they "try" its still shitty, uninteresting and gay. That other anon is right, none of these people actually understand what makes transformers designs work, even bayformers got this right in the earlier years. Now look at this design. Take a good look at how the wild west outlaw motif is baked into his design, How the cobra's hood forms the poncho or how the alt mode being a king cobra ties together bot the western desert themes and the robot cowboy theme with the arm being serving as a whip/lasso. All you need to do is take a look and you immediately know everything about him. You can't take the aesthetic out of him because it's a fundamental aspect to the design where it's a supplementary aspect of the former
>>11931017the funny thing is character wise Cohlada isn't really a cowboy type. He's an arrogant rookie cadet type.
>>11931021>He's an arrogant rookie cadet type.He and Break both do however the lone wolf western archetype adds to it too. Break is much closer to the arrogant rookie/shonen protagonist which is why is design with the spiky tuft and bright colors is so flamboyant
I pray someday they find a cure for whatever kind of spazz spergery Perspectives End has. It pains me that hes one of the only people I saw who (somehow despite being him) DIDNT sperg about the AI mockups.
>>11930767could the original ultra magnus/powered convoy do that gun-hands thing? All the old diaclone-based toys seem to always have some sort of play functionality that was never widely shown off.
>>11931037Yes, but not quite the same way. The original's hands could pop off via 5mm peg and you could just put the cannons on instead. This only really works with the forearms collapsed for robot mode, so you wouldn't be able to have them at the end of the arms like in >>11930767
>>11930937I just found out Energon had an unreleased Prime and Megs recolor that I wish got released. Red and black G2 ish colors look sick.
>>11931055I wish I got this platinum back in the day too. But the unreleased one has matching limbs which I like and no other repaints did.
>>11930937>>11931055>>11931058Blokees is your only hope now
>>11931058This is the one I have, always surprises me how big he is when I bust him outHim and Omega both
>>11931055Black and red just work as colors every time. I know it can be bland or too edgy to some but I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of it.
>>11931066No I dont like non transformable small model kits
>>11931023Break is just Naruto before he was a thing, down to the same voice and inflection >>11931034Perspective's like that because he’s a contrarian. He physically has to disagree with whatever someone says to him
>>11930647The preview image of animated generated insane amounts of hate. The initial response was basically universally negative and the toy reveals where treated much the same. When the first couple episodes came out though it was a different story. Reception was very positive. There were still people that disliked the designs, but they look way better in motion, and the pretty dark undertones from the introduction of the deceptions to how badly the autobots got brutalized by just Starscream had people wanting to see more. Then they got let down. Season one was slow as fuck villain of the week stuff that was generally boring outside some occasional nice character introductions. The turning point though is when Megatron comes back. The shows quality increases substantially, and the stakes ramp up steadily all the way to the end.We all knew it was canceled pretty much off the rip, so there was a whole lot of dissatisfaction at how the ending was extremely quick, and with how open it was there are people that want it to continue to this day.The big thing with animated is that many fans from the peak of the franchise (2002-2012~) see it and prime as the last real transformers shows. Anything after was just rescuebots or evergreen kidslop and the garbage quality of the "for adults" shows has made that gap way worse.

The shows quality increases substantially, and the stakes ramp up steadily all the way to the end.It was a risky choice but the slow season 1 start was important.Yeah the human villains kinda suck but at least they're the ones losing every week and not the Decepticons. When they do show up it remains significant and they don't stop seeming powerful until Season 3 when a bunch have been captured.

>>11930985you do make a good point. plus table fees and junk.. still, it feels wasteful to just use it once like that. AND keeping in mind it's an IP they don't own, so high-profile payment of fanart is.. iffy. typically they go OC for that shit.
>>11931021I like how old transformers would have one theme visually and another as a personality. it's like, this is just.. their body, man. it isn't that important. they can change bodies.>>11931107This. >>11931152I'm fond of most of the "-izers" I bought. Cog and Sixgun were a hoot. Paleotrex is genuinely just a cool/unique transformer in its own right, but also makes some sick boner weapons. Ironworks isn't so great at the "weapon" part, but he's really fun to build little bases out of, especially if you have micro/titanmasters to occupy him.

>>11931197man, Sixgun's power gauntlet was so rad.>>11931161That looks rad. Also, nice purple match-up. I've heard that purple is one of the colors that the human eye can distinguish the strongest, so as a result it's REALLY hard to color-match purple. Unless it's your camera flattening it out.
I got Paleotrex right around the same time I got Wedge. It was a fun week.
>>11931165nta but for all we know that photo of Chicago was original, licensed or in public domain. The photoshop may or may not have been legally purchased. And even if not the unique idiosyncrasies that comes from a human choosing to use whatever assets they chose makes it more charming and memorable. It's more interesting to me when there's a mind behind creation, you can't interact or converse with a machine in the same way without feeling it's all smoke and mirrors.
>>11931190basically, except it doesn't look as goodin fact, photoshop had AI image generation a decade before any of you guys had heard of 'ai'. smart selection, smart filling behind something you removed, all of that
>>11931212I meant more the cryotek part, but surewe're not talking about multiplayer games being inherently superior to singleplayer with AI opponents, here.
>>11930767This is fucking awesome I want him now
>>11931107>>11931200TFRiD 2015 did a lot better than Prime in sales and rarings, which makes me wonder if soon we're gonna have a wave of fans who will talk about how it's overhated and how it's their nostalgic series that got them into TF.Right now the youngest fans truly active in the fandom seem to mainly be kids who grew TFP and got massively disappointed that RiD was a kid's show when they became teenagers. But RiD15 did well with actual kids, younger ones maybe but still a big audience.
>>11931214Eh? It's a licensed convention...the piece of Cryotek art was either licensed or likely drawn by someone like Dan Khanna. Are you going for the angle that Cryotek was a redeco and thus a remix of an existing asset? Even so he was a redeco done in house and even his name comes from another IP Hasbro owned. It's not anywhere close to a gotcha, nothing is stolen.
Man the connection between the new Runway and Jerstorm doesn't hold. Did they barely test it? Just touching it sends Runway flying.
>>11931213I really shouldn't be surprised that an AI shill isn't very good at using his brain
>>11931212>And even if not the unique idiosyncrasies that comes from a human choosing to use whatever assets they chose makes it more charming and memorable.Well said. The thing that matters more to me about art than actual technical proficiency is that the artist is a unique person who made certain choices for specific reasons. AI shills don't understand that because they lack the curiosity/passion to do so in the first place, and thus do not care (or even comprehend) that a machine is doing the most essential and rewarding part of "art" in their stead. This is why real artists sneer at AI shills. It isn't because they don't draw. It's because they don't care.
>>11931188wish I had space to set up all my baseformers and micromasters
>>11931228missing the point pretty hard, but it doesn't sound like it's on purpose.you're whining that people should make their own thing instead of a computer amalgamation of others' work, yet he's reusing an asset deliberately
