For me it's less about needing to get it right, more like I feel it builds off of itself. And trying to change stuff around means it still needs to reach the same point. I want my writing to feel more natural.

What I usually worry about though in 'getting stuff right' is making sure certain plot points get hit during scenes because I want to get the point across in a scene, but can't just meander around it. And I'm always wondering what stuff the audience will catch on to, and which will fly over their head.

Wanted to try my hand at present tense writing. Also wanted to practice fluff. Very short. Warning, one handholding instance.

The absolute best I could see her getting is guilting N enough to have him bring some drones to her. Outside of that, she'll have to make due with the few and far drones fleeing Uzi's reign; the ones that manage to get out, that is. I think V gets most of them first.

I definitely think V would be the one to convince N to go back to eating drones. Of course, he doesn't eat as many as her, maybe only like one a month. He would only go on to convince Uzi because he thinks (thanks to V) it would be healthier for her, the two of them could enjoy it together, and he'd also think that Uzi would be like him and eat one a month. He wouldn't know the monster he'd unleash.
