In Zootopia 2 novelization, Nick and Nibbles both escape when they are being driven to the prison, while in the movie they break out after they've sent to prison (while freeing everyone else there). Why did they change that?

Because he doesnt need to lie to himself that what he does isnt evil in order to do it, but fully accepting it to be evil and still doing it, its a lot harder for people to want to see him redeemed

He didn't mind being evil if it meant he'd get that in return. He failed at it and his father was dismissive of him in the end,even after he attempted to murder four animals. I feel like there's two ways they could take him if they touch on him ever again. Double down on how he acted and believe it he succeeded his father would have accepted him, which I doubt he would have. Or realize his father loves nothing but power and was never going to truly accept him. Giving him a believable redemption arc would be hard so they may not try. He'd have to show he genuinely gave a damn to make amends, like almost dying to save Nick/Judy/Gary or whoever.
