Now we have a couple official Hazbin Season 2 screenshots it's so interesting to see people try to make sense of what Lute's doing without context from the leak. Lotta people haven't figured out that everything she does is about Adam now... the fanbase is kind of uniquely terrible at parsing Lute which is crazy because she's not even that complex? Like, her arc was choreographed so well at the end of Season 1 that the leak didn't surprise me. She's a violent, impulsive and very stupid girl in love and despite everything else about her that love is very soft. Adam's important to her characterisation and arc whether or not he reciprocates. Some Lute fans misinterpret her so bad (like the ones who want her to be a girlboss hyper-efficient emotionless killing machine who'd usurp Adam in a heartbeat) that I'm not sure we watched the same show because she doesn't have much screentime to misinterpret so far?While we're at it I'm not a fan of Lute = Eve theories and I'd much rather she be a random nobody Heavenborn who wasn't around in the Eden days because I think it gives her a better and more interesting dynamic with Adam and more room to explore Adam's character growth too.
