Just here for a small update:The rerolls are going okay, had to revamp the actual system I used. In the interest of transparency, I’ll lay it out.First, the system is based in large part on the system of that Hunger Games simulator website, aka, the format of the time periods are:Bloodbath (Day 1), Night 1, Day 2, and so on…To determine the number of preds for each day/night period, I used an RNG to pick a number between 1-2n and dividing the result by 2, n being the number of living tributes. If I came on an odd number before dividing or a number greater than half of the living tributes, I rerolled. This is so that I didn’t end up with an outcome like, Day 2 - 29 deaths.After that, determining the number of preds was also done through RNG, by picking a number between 1-x, x being the number of deaths for the day/night. Why do I want less preds than deaths? So that there’s a chance for the ferals (who aren’t considered tributes) to come in. Any deaths not given a pred are subject to a d6 that determines which feral is the pred.Next, determining who the actual preds are is as simple as giving all living tributes a die with as many sides as there are… living tributes. Highest rolls pred until the number of preds is filled.Finally, to determine prey, it’s the same except the preds chosen are excluded from the rolls, with the lowest becoming prey. To make it a slightly fairer to those that rolled high yet didn’t make it as a pred, the pred rolls are carried over, divided by 2 and rounded up and added to the prey rolls.Then, it’ll be simple enough to assign preds to preys with dice.Now, as for a question, I’m thinking of having the general vibe of this be ‘light peril’ aka it’s fatal vore (potentially perma), but not to the point of like, hyper cruelty and bawling over a death. Would that be okay? Or should I pivot this to be more casual, less like actual Hunger Games and more like a contest?Just wanted to ask for opinions.
