Y'know I've seen many, many games, furry or not, bring up how immortality is this horrible thing or use it as an excuse for fates worse than death and then I see Aftersoul just be one of the very few games to completely shut down this kind of shit by making immortality a great thing that basically everyone has.Like, the game just flat out shows how everyone is enjoying immortality through the sigils and even expresses the fact that if they want to quit at any point or to get a restart, they can just take a long nap in the rivers below and reincarnate in full - still keeping elements of themselves despite it all, but with a fresh perspective. Which addresses one of the most common complaints of immortality, that people would 'get tired of it'. The game even seems to address how Fang is utterly insane and needs to reincarnate by recent lore implying that his current fragmented state of mind was caused by the Order doing...something to him, so going nuts from living too long doesn't seem to be a natural state either. There's also the fact Traitor is perfectly fine despite having lived through multiple ages.I dunno'. I just think more furry games should have immortal or long-lived populations beyond magical beasts and stuff like that. Aftersoul is really the only one I know of that's committed to it.
