It was to have like 15 nights' worth of content I think for each character, but now every time he wrote enough for another night for one he'd stop and catch the rest of them up. The bipeds simply killed the humans off so the Infants lost access to being able to attain Ascendancy. But the Infants flat out don't need to become Ascendant to destroy everything - keep in mind that every Demon we've seen thus far has been an Infant, and Ryuo has clarified Infants can be of any size from relatively small, to towering over houses, to literal kaiju size. This includes Gaia. And given there are clearly more Infants than (active) Ascendants, then that means the Infants alone are bad enough to destroy a super advanced scifi utopia setting without becoming literal cosmic Gods.All 'delaying' them really did is ensure a few scattered pockets of the world still exist. Everywhere and everything else is still ruined and a single Infant is still essentially unbeatable in a fight (even if you do manage to 'kill' it, you'll just end up like Aleera anyway).

Keep in mind that the lllaylan male birthrate is steadily declining and has been for generations, with this being generally assumed to be tied to the Blackzones in some capacity - something everyone knows is a guaranteed slow extinction. All the Demons have to do is wait a few generations, if even that, and all of lllayla (and possibly whatever other 'safe' areas exist beyond it) will be dead without the Infants or Ascendants having to do a thing. That's the big issue with dealing with Soulcreek demons - even ignoring that 99% of furry games completely lack the means to fight even the Infants alone, the Blackzones basically guarantee their deaths by literally crippling and neutering their population growth. Assuming anyone even survives to begin with, that is.

I only really posted it out of curiosity if there's anything that CAN be done about them at all, rather than maliciously tossing them at other settings to kill them off. I'm aware they're setting ruiners, but I've been pondering if any furry games setting could reliably deal with them or if it's a FUBAR situation no matter what. Unfortunately it looks like no matter what, there's no real victory condition beyond not messing with Soulcreek at all.

But until it happens it is what it is.And if you wanna crossover content what works is having Loken kiss other cute Autists.>>77613089Blackgate is honestly cursed by being such a early one and going for the then popular Patreon Babby bait Tier, anf i general people having poor grasp on how patreon and subbing, which is why the "Double Taps" became such big drama necause people felt the updates were too small (Read:No CG/Sex Scene at first, then they genuinely got smaller i text too), I like all the cops and all but in hindsight 20-20 it should just had each job as a route with one LI each, done monthy sub with Update posts with goodies and previews and one actual update every 2 months that each focused on one Job (and had QA, though with only 4 routes Gruff will intrude less due less obvious copypasting.)It is kinda bad how bad it fumbled the bag since it was pretty popular at its peak, i actually read Jack's Route again a while back and i still like him even after all these years, he may be an afterthought (Cause Gruff is obviously the Canon Cop), but he is my afterthought.
