Updating for fbx fixerbro, I've gotten into it a little bit and followed your guide. Looks like success on the bone orientations in blender! They used to be all over now they're chill. However I'm having some weirdness refreshing the import back in unity (I'm mid with unity still)>import fbx into blender with better fbx importer // check>export fbx // check, if relevant I used FBX ALL scalings, unchecked Add Leaf Bones and Bake Animation (maybe messed up here? I do this for clothes so did for avatar as well)then replace fbx in project folder, refreshed import back in unity>change rig type to generic // check>change it back to humanoid // check>reassign any bones it forgot (probably chest) // check, configured Avatar Definition and added chest again, I left Upper Chest unassigned because nothing was obvious current issues in unity> eyes borked in scene view (picrel), but seem correct when running playmode/gesture manager> mouth stuck open in playmode/gesture manager> hat and hair options i added prior appeared missing, or so I thought, moved them and they are still in there just at antman scale now? Moving them out of the head I can see them as a speck> if relevant, yellow import warning: a polygon of mesh body is self intersecting and has been disregardedThat's all I had time to peep for the moment. >>77615782Ignore the warning about self intersecting polys, I've never had it cause issues.For the eye you might need to redo the eye look settings, so like make both eyes face forwards and mess with the eye bones and note down the bone rotations for them lookingleft/right/forwards etc, or just add an eyepatch. if its borked ingame.I'm not quite sure about the mouth thing, might be if the avatar uses jawbone lip sync instead of blendshapes there may be a setting there somewhere that needs tweaking.Ignore upper chest bone, who needs it.I thiiiiiink the mouth might be to do with the write defaults being mixed, they mess up hand gesture face animations, might be one of those being stuck on.Once I've done my halloween outfit and gain some more motivation to make my own texture I will probably come back to the avatar and see if I can fix the borked stuff, will report back if I work it out.
