Which is why so many water-cooling parts use transparent materials that play well with lights. Doubly so on systems with hard tubing, which provides zero technical benefit, but is significantly more troublesome to install and maintain.But, in my case, I just want a beastly gaming box that doubles as a silent overnight transcoding machine. Since I sleep in the same room as all my electronics, it's important that it be while somehow dissipating 500+ watts, so I'm overbuilding the cooling system in an effort to bring down fan RPMs.

Okay, I've taped out my water cooling controller board assembly. Only a handful of components need to be soldered by my hands once it arrives. Mostly connectors.Once that's out of the way, I shouldn't need my scope any more, so I can pack it away. Then, it should be all code for the rest of the journey. At least, until time comes to install it in an actual PC. Which, I've still not picked parts for, because, for all I know, I could be building it in 2026.
