Great choice of OP! SCP is mega nostalgic even though it's changed a lot over the years. My favourite set of SCPs are the ones connected to Pitch Haven which - funnily enough - are about the Garden of Eden

Which is ironic given I just spilled for an interconnected set of them but in fairness they're from 2013 when it was still kind of novel

Another thing I hate about nu SCP is the overly fancy layout and animations. It's grating and a turn off having to press so many buttons to read an article. The main idea behind SCP was procedures and a description of anomalous things. It's a slog to read through. I only care about the early 2010s SCPs. I'd sooner read through 076 (edgy as it is) than whatever the new standard a small group of mods like. Side note: I never got the hype behind the famous doctor self insert OCs like Bright. Which on another tangent, has caused a whole mess on the website since he got outed as a predator or something, and now everyone redacts his name.

>>77657593It's been a long time since I read 076 and even longer since I read 073. A lot of people thought I based my version of Abel off of 076 but that isn't true. I agree with the characterization that Abel would be extremely angry over the circumstances of his death, be traumatized, and overall feel a sense off loss over what he never got to experience on Earth. Makes sense based on the info we have from the Bible. But the tattoos and summoning blades from thin air? Blindly killing innocent people? Come on, tone it down. 076 is too much with the cool guy factor but it's a version of Abel that has a special place for me. I don't think there is a version of Abel I could deeply hate. At most find cringe. 073 I for sure agree that Cain would have a sense of remorse for what he did and be a pacifist. Cain can have a lot of interpretations to me regarding his character. I'm fine with either unrepentant or remorseful. But robot arms that he doesn't know where he got them from? Again, why? I love the concept of plant life withering in his presence since it's a direct reference to what his curse entails (which is nothing you plant will grow but extrapolated to existing plants die). To tie it in with the OP, I like how both 073 and 076 know what 001 is and refuse to approach it. And that tale of them reconciling into dust? I cri erytime
